Rankings for the Top TV Songs chart are based on song and show data provided by Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending that data with sales and streaming information tracked by Luminate during the corresponding period of February 2024.
“Bust a Move,” which peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 1989, sported a synch in ABC’s The Rookie, sending it to No. 1 on Top TV Songs after being heard in the second episode of the series’ sixth season on Feb. 27.
In February 2024, “Bust a Move” earned 3.2 million official on-demand U.S. streams and 1,000 downloads, according to Luminate.

“Bust a Move” reigns over Gordon Lightfoot’s “If You Could Read My Mind,” which bows at No. 2 following a synch in Amazon Prime Video’s The Grand Tour on Feb. 16. The track snagged 3.7 million streams and 2,000 downloads in February 2024.
Like “Bust a Move,” “If You Could Read My Mind” was a top 10 hit on the Hot 100 (as well as the first top 10 for both acts), albeit earlier, peaking at No. 5 in February 1971.
A pair of songs from HBO’s True Detective round out Top TV Songs’ top four in Mazzy Star’s “Into Dust” and The Beatles’ “Twist and Shout” at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively. The former was in episode four of the fourth season (Feb. 4), while the latter followed in episode six (Feb. 18).
“Into Dust” racked up 802,000 streams and 1,000 downloads in February 2024, while “Twist and Shout” boasted 6.4 million streams and 1,000 downloads.
They’re not the only True Detective synchs on the latest chart. The show also appears at No. 9 via Billie Eilish’s “Everybody Dies,” also from episode four, via 1.3 million streams.

JT and *NSYNC made hearts race, and set charts alight, during their golden run in the 1990s and early 2000s, before going on hiatus in 2002. The boy band — or, now, man band — was back to their old ways in L.A., a full-body workout ahead of Timberlake’s Forget Tomorrow World Tour.
Tonight’s “One Night Show” will be a hard act to follow. Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass performed their smash ’90s hits “Bye Bye Bye” and “It’s Gonna Be Me” and debuted the new collaborative track “Paradise.”

The surprise reunion was their first onstage since an appearance at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards last September. Prior to that, the “It’s Gonna Be Me” singers last strutted their stuff as the full, five-piece unit back in 2013, for JT’s Video Vanguard Award medley.
Later, in 2019, Chasez, Kirkpatrick, Fatone and Bass joined Ariana Grande onstage during her headlining Coachella set for a performance of “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” and “Tearin’ Up My Heart.” On that occasion, Timberlake wasn’t in the place.
Timberlake did return to his roots — and the studio — with *NSYNC in 2023 for “Better Place,” which accompanied the JT-starring animated family film Trolls Band Together. The track bowed at No. 25, for *NSYNC’s lucky 13th appearance on the Billboard Hot 100.
All told, *NSYNC has earned six top 10 hits on the Hot 100, including “Bye Bye Bye” (No. 4), “This I Promise You” (No. 5) and “It’s Gonna Be Me” (No. 1, two weeks). On the Billboard 200, the lads have notched four top 10 titles, including the No. 1 albums No Strings Attached (eight weeks) and Celebrity (one week).
JT’s concert acts as a curtain raiser for the release Friday (March 15) of his sixth solo album Everything I Thought It Was and the kick-off of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour on April 29 at Rogers Arena, in Vancouver, Canada.
The forthcoming album, led by the single “Selfish,” marks JT’s first solo release in more than five years. EITIW is the follow-up to his 2018 solo LP Man of the Woods, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Earlier this week, Timberlake had a debut performance of the EITIW song “No Angels” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

As “El Exitoso,” released last October via Afinarte, advances to the summit, it ejects “Por El Contrario,” by Becky G, Leonardo Aguilar, and Angela Aguilar, from the lead. The latter falls to No. 3 with a 20% drop in impressions, to 6.8 million.

With the new success, El Fantasma captures his sixth No. 1 on Regional Mexican Airplay, which began when “Encantadora” took over the radio ranking for four weeks in 2019. Here’s a recap of all the champs:
Peak, Title, Artist, Weeks at No. 1June 1, 2019, “Encantadora,” fourAug. 14, 2021, “Soy Buen Amigo,” oneSept. 25, 2021, “Tus Desprecios,” with Pepe Aguilar, oneOct. 1, 2022, “Soldado Caído,” oneSept. 9, 2023, “La Vida Cara,” oneMarch 16, 2024, “El Exitoso”
Thanks to “El Exitoso,” Afinarte leads Regional Mexican Airplay for a second term in 2024, after the label last led through Los Dos Carnales’s “Gracias a Ti,” for one week in charge on the Feb. 24-dated list. The label picks up its 10th champ overall.
Beyond its Regional Mexican Radio reign, “El Exitoso” also conquers new territory on the overall Latin Airplay ranking, where it flies No. 18-2. With the rise, El Fantasma collects his 10th top 10 there, and achieves his best chart performance to date. Previously the singer-songwriter reached a high of No. 4 with “El Selectivo” in May 2023.
There was no place like The Masked Singer on Wednesday, March 13, as the quirky singing contest celebrated “Wizard of Oz” night.
Cleocatra, The Beets, Gumball and Afghan Hound took turns on the mic, each of them facing the prospect of going home early.
The resplendent canine performed “The Lion Sleeps” by the Tokens, the upright feline tackled “Stormy Weather” by Etta James, the sugar-ball dispenser performed a medley of “If I Only Had A Heart” by Jack Haley and “Heartbeat Song” by Kelly Clarkson, and those constantly-smiling roots performed Michael Buble’s “Home.”
The dog and the candy were at the bottom of the list, and they entered a battle to “Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead.” The winner, survives. The loser, bye-bye.

“Wizard of Oz” night wasn’t magical for Afghan Hound, who, after the performances, found herself in the dog house.
The mask came off, revealing reality-TV star, actor, influencer and former beauty queen Savannah Chrisley of Chrisley Knows Best.

The stint behind the helmet was, no doubt, a welcome distraction for Chrisley, whose parents were jailed last year after being convicted of federal bank fraud and tax evasion in June 2022.
“Honestly, my life over the past year has changed drastically,” she explained when her identify was revealed and host Nick Cannon asked why she decided to participate in this 11th season. “Lost both my parents to the federal system. And now I have custody of my 15-year-old brother and 10-year-old sister,” a comment that drew concerned faces from judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and newbie Rita Ora.
“So, if I can teach them anything it’s, take every opportunity that comes your way and don’t back down.”
There were lessons learned for Chrisley, too. “I know singing is not for me. I don’t know what a note is, nor do I know what rhythm is,” she continued. “But, it was a good experience.”
Another reason for competing in this 2024 season is “because I know my parents can watch it. And that was a big thing for me.”
Chrisley as Afghan Hound follows the exit of Kevin Hart (as Book) on last week’s season premiere of The Masked Singer.

Also in the top 10 of the latest Top Album Sales chart, Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson lands his first solo top 10 as his new set The Mandrake Project bows at No. 5. Plus, ScHoolboy Q’s new Blue Lips starts at No 6, marking his fourth top 10-charting effort.
Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The chart’s history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Pure album sales were the sole measurement utilized by the Billboard 200 albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album units and streaming equivalent album units.
