Boy, I tell ya’ — Taylor Swift publicly endorsed Kamala Harris after the vice president dog-walked unhinged pet protector Donald Trump during the presidential debate Tuesday night, and the MAGA world had been in shambles ever since.
Trump tried to clap back at Swift’s endorsement during a Fox News call where he mentioned, “I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better” than Swift, referring to NFL great Patrick Mahomes‘ wife, who is apparently a Trump supporter.
This prompted a reporter to ask Mahomes whether he too would like to offer a public endorsement of Trump, to which he essentially replied: “Nah — cancel that noise. You should go vote though.”
“I don’t want my place and my platform to be used to endorse a candidate or do whatever, either way,” Mahomes said during the Wednesday press conference. “I think my place is to inform people to get registered to vote. It’s to inform people to do their own research and then make the best decision for them and their family.”
“You’ve seen my history,” he continued. “I’ve come up with people from every aspect of life, from every background, and the best thing about football locker rooms and kind of how I’ve grown up in baseball locker rooms is people can come together and achieve something and achieve a common goal. We talked about it a while back. If we can do that as a nation, we can get the best out of each other, so that’s something I do every single day.”
So, basically, Mahomes decided to Kumbaya his way out of explicitly declaring his support for Trump or Harris. After all, we saw what happened when WNBA phenom Caitlin Clark “liked” Swift’s post endorsing Harris and MAGA minions across the white-suprema-net told her to shut up and dribble.
In fact, Clark responded to the backlash pretty much the same way Mahomes responded to the inquiry about who he endorses: by declining to explicitly endorse either candidate and, instead, telling people to go out and vote.
“I think for myself, I have my amazing platform, so I think the biggest thing will be just encourage people to register to vote,” she said. “It’s the second time I can vote in a election; at 22, I could vote when I was 18. I can do that, that’s the biggest thing I can do with the platform that I have. And that’s the same thing Taylor did. And I think continue to educate yourself with the candidates that we have, the policies that they’re supporting. I think that’s the biggest thing you can do, and that’s what I would recommend to every single person that has that opportunity in our country.”
Yeah, the athletes are out here either dodging MAGA bullets and anti-MAGA bullets alike.
Must be exhausting. Couldn’t be me.
Man, F**k Trump. Harris 2024!

American sprinter Noah Lyles is facing backlash after being spotted out partying in Paris days after his COVID-19 diagnosis.
The 2024 Paris Olympic Games ended Sunday (Aug. 11). Still, track superstar Noah Lyles had social media buzzing after he was spotted on video partying days after revealing he was dealing with COVID-19. Lyles, who won the men’s 100 meter, was spotted on video at L’Arc nightclub hours after the closing ceremonies dancing while draped in an American flag to a Pop Smoke song. The footage surprised many who expressed frustration. Lyles’ diagnosis was revealed after he collapsed on the track after the 200 meter men’s final on Thursday evening, leading to him having to be wheeled out in a wheelchair.
Lyles would later share a picture of a negative COVID test in a post on X, formerly Twitter, Saturday (Aug. 10), with the caption, “Thank God, I am Covid free.” Lyles would capture bronze in the 200 meter, which he has proven to be dominant in past track and field competitions, but he would pull out of the men’s 4×100 relay final. The U.S. team would later be disqualified for an invalid baton exchange, extending their medal drought – the team hasn’t won gold since the 2000 Sydney Games, and last medaled in 2004 with a silver at the Athens Games.
The 27-year-old confirmed that he had tested positive for COVID-19 that Tuesday beforehand, which meant that he ran the 100 meter while sick. He wanted to run despite the diagnosis, and permission was granted by the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee. In an interview with the Associated Press that day, Lyles spoke about his thoughts on being diagnosed, saying that he was more concerned about the severe effects of the virus than his temperature (he suffers from asthma), which shot up to 102 degrees, according to his coach Lance Bauman.
Lyles denied that, saying the highest it reached was 99 degrees. “Then asthma joining in on that and making it even worse, that was our worst fear,” he said. “We were back in the medical bay underneath the track. Their biggest concern was me getting bronchitis because we didn’t want something to get infected and the asthma really starts to take form. We really had to jump on top of that.”

Kendrick Lamar‘s smash hit diss record “Not Like Us” continues to be one of the hottest records in the streets, but it seems like some people are tired of hearing it and no, it’s not Drake.
According to TMZ, NBA superstar Steph Curry has just about had it with the classic Hip-Hop diss record and let as much be known while practicing with his USA teammates in Paris earlier this week. While getting ready to play a pre-Olympics game with Serbia in Abu Dhabi, the song blasted through the speakers, which led Steph to say, “Damn with this song! It’s not the only song in America!” which prompted LeBron James to say, “I love it.”
LeBron just lost Drake as a fan.
Regardless of how Steph might’ve felt, he went to put on a show in the game as he dropped a team-high 24 points as Team USA routed Nikola Jokic‘s team by 26, with the final score being 105-79.
Team USA might not lose a single game during this summer’s Olympics in Paris.
That being said, Steph should expect “Not Like Us” to get played to death as the DJ is sure to be sending the world a message that not a single professional basketball team out there is anything like the one that America has.
And best believe when he and Team USA return home later this summer that song will still be going hard out on these streets as no one seems to be able to get enough of it. He might want to stay home for a while if he wants to avoid hearing it anymore. At least till mid-2025.
What do y’all think of Steph’s reaction to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”? Has the song gotten too much burn already? Let us know in the comments section below.

NBA legend Jerry West aka Mr. Clutch, has passed away. He was 86.
The Los Angeles Clippers, one of the organizations where West long was an executive, announced his passing on Wednesday morning (June 12). Famously, West was the inspiration for the NBA’s now iconic logo, which is a silhouette from the Hall of Fame guard’s playing days.
On the front office side, West was the general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers during its “Showtime” dynasty that included Magic Johnson, James Worthy and other stars. It was West who secured the draft rights for the Lakers to lock in a young high school basketball star named Kobe Bryant.

Among West’s extensive on-the-court accomplishments as a pro, after starring at West Virginia University, were 12 All-NBA selections, 14 All-Star selections and a championship with the 1972 Los Angeles Lakers. A member of the NBA’s 75th anniversary team, he was a member of the 1960 US Olympic basketball team and entered the NBA Hall of Fame in 1980.
West’s passing is reverberating throughout social media, with peers, NBA pros, journalists and basketball fans saluting the legend. See some of the more poignant tributes in the gallery.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown is in trouble with the law in Florida—once again. It’s the third time within the last few years that Brown has been sought after by law enforcement over a situation involving his ex, Wiltrice Jackson, and the second time in one year he’s been sought after because he owed Jackson child support.
Oh, and the second time in the last few years he was sought after over allegations of domestic violence.
It’s possible the man has problems.
According to TMZ, Miami-Dade County court documents show that a judge has ordered Brown’s arrest after ruling earlier this month that he owes his ex $15,000 in unpaid child support, which is actually a 50% improvement from the $30,000 he owed her in April, which he paid before he was put in jail.
From TMZ:
Brown and Jackson dated in the early stages of the former wide receiver’s football career … and have a daughter together.
The two, however, have had their share of ups and downs since … with Jackson accusing Brown of shoving her during a domestic dispute in 2019. Brown was never charged in the case.
As previously reported, last December, a warrant was issued for Brown’s arrest following another woman’s allegations of domestic violence, and it led to a standoff between Brown and Tampa Police.
This might be a good time to mention that Brown was also kicked out of a Hotel pool in Dubai for exposing himself just a few months before the December incident.
Let’s hope he gets the help he clearly needs.

One thing Gen Z is gonna do…is tell more than they should. LSA women’s basketball star Angel Reese is sharing who slid in her social media DM’s after her historic NCAA Championship win earlier this month.
Reese and teammate Flau’jae Johnson stopped by the Breakfast Club to talk about their win as well as other ways their lives have changed since the win.

According to Complex, Reese revealed that Drake and Future have slid into her DMs. “You said two that you need to stay far away from,” Charlamagne tha God joked.
The 20-year-old forward clarified that the multi-platinum rappers just offered congratulations. “They just congratulated me. It’s all congratulations,” she said with smile.
Still, the idea earned a few more jokes from The Breakfast Club hosts. “Then Drake gonna say, ‘Yo, you know I got a basketball court at the crib?’ Did he say that yet?” Envy asked. Reese and Johnson exchanged a knowing glance and broke out in laughter, while declining to answer the question.
Reese became a national sensation after leading her team to the NCAA championship beating Iowa. However, questions about her sportsmanship by mimicking the “You Can’t See Me,” dance led to vicious and racist attacks on social media. Rapper Tony Yayo, who first popularized the gesture, took to her defense.
“Any kind of sports, talking trash is a part of the game,” Yayo told TMZ Sports. “I mean, it was for the championship game. It’s competition. Even when I’m playing 2k — if you playin’ in the game, with video games, we get excited. You know?”
Yayo continued, “It’s just a dance. I don’t take nothin’ personal. It was a dance I created because I was trying to hide from the police. But shout out to all them people — John Cena, Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark — and definitely Flavor Flav. But Angel Reese? You know, she took the ‘U Can’t C Me’ dance to a whole ‘nother level.”
The gesture first popped up in the series when Iowa’s Caitlin Clark used it against players from South Carolina. She was praised as “passionate.”
Reese, also known as Bayou Barbie, is one of the NCAA’s highest-grossing NIL players with a value of over $1.5 million.
She also talked about getting praise from fellow LSU baller, Shaquille O’Neal saying that his support sometimes put “pressure” on her, an idea that the NBA legend brushed off.
On his podcast, O’Neal said of Reese:”She’s probably the greatest athlete to ever come out of LSU sports. You heard it here first. Man and female,” O’Neal said on the latest episode of “The Big Podcast with Shaq.”
“Because, guess what? She delivered. She delivered that package. See, a lot of us got the package, and we still got the package in our truck. She delivered that package. So, you know, there’s a lot of names you could throw around — men and women — but she’s probably the greatest athlete.
“Some people are going to exclude it to women athletes. I’m not doing that. She’s the greatest athlete to ever come out of LSU.
