Looks like 2025 is going to be the year of the OG “Bred” Jordans as it’s being reported that the highly coveted and sought-after Air Jordan 1 “Bred” will be returning in all of its 1985 glory.

According to GQ, the sneaker that many consider the top grail of the Jordan 1 line will be making its comeback sometime next year. And not only will it bear the classic black and red colorway that made it an instant classic, but will feature the high ’85 cut that Jordan brand has been retro-ing for their past few Jordan 1 silhouettes. Though the Jordan 1 silhouettes have been bricking as of late (sneakerheads really have lost interest in the sneaker due to over-saturation and whack color ways), you better believe these will be an extremely hard cop even if inventory is in the millions.
Per GQ:

While the ‘Bred’ (or ‘Banned’) has re-released a few times over the past four decades, this upcoming pair will be a like-for-like remake of the OG from ’85. It comes in an all-leather build that’s meant to look and feel as premium as the Air Jordans from way back when. A Swoosh, as always, is planted to the lateral and medial sidewalls, and the mythical winged basketball emblem is stamped across the collar.
Down south, the midsole is dipped in white, and it’s infused with Nike’s critically-acclaimed Air tech for added comfiness and bounciness. Rumour has it that it’ll come packed in an era-accurate shoebox too, just like the ‘Lost & Found’ from 2022.
The Air Jordan 1 High ‘85 ‘Bred’ will return sometime in Spring 2025, just in time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Jordan Brand. Set to drop at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers across the globe, they’ll retail for around $200 a pop. Expect resale prices to be triple that, though.
The news comes after it was revealed that Nike plans on re-releasing the classic Air Jordan 5 “Metallic” and Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” in 2025.
Nike coming for allll the money next year.

Just when it seemed like Jordan Brand remixed the Air Jordan 1 silhouette every which way they possibly could over the past few years (and decreased its popularity in the process), the team over at the Jumpman conglomerate done conjured up a little something for the lazier man.

According to Hypebeast Jordan brand will be introducing a new iteration of the classic Air Jordan 1 which will basically be slippers and dubbed them the Air Jordan 1 “Golf Mule.” The chopped down version of the classic silhouette will feature the OG black-red-and-white colorway that helped propel the Air Jordan 1 to Olympian heights, so don’t be surprised if you begin to see these pop up at places where heads wouldn’t dare wear their “Bred” Air Jordan 1’s such as the pool or the beach.
Per Hypebeast:

Dressed in iconic “Bred” colorways, the new slip-on silhouette makes its debut, coming to life as a lace-less and heel-less Air Jordan 1. While they’re branded “Golf” we presume players would likely wear these as transitional shoes rather than on the course.
Notable design elements of the shoe include the complete removal of shoe strings and eyelets, leaving a sleek black leather upper, complemented by a red Jumpman logo and “GOLF” branding — the same branding is found at the heel of the insole as well. Aside from its new construction and removal of laces, the remainder of the shoe stays true to traditional elements of the Jordan 1, sitting on a white rubber midsole and red outsole.

Yeah, we don’t know about these. If they drop a Travis Scott version of these with the reverse swoosh though, watch out!
No word on when they’ll be released but best believe they will be purchased and worn by heads trying to style while living their best laid back life.
What do y’all think of the Air Jordan 1 “Golf Mule”? Would y’all copp a pair or nah? Let us know in the comments section below.

Earlier this year it was rumored that the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 collaborations would be coming to an end after 2023, but now the sneaker community has gotten word that 2024 will be seeing another highly anticipated installment into the “Cactus Jack” x Air Jordan 1 collection.

According to Hypebeast a new and spiffy colorway for the highly popular Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 low is on the way and will feature a black and olive color scheme that will go beautifully with a pair of camouflage pants that New Yorkers are known to feature in their weekly fashion ensemble. Travis himself previewed this particular pair of sneaker months ago, but many assumed it was one of his many “Friends and Family” pairs that have never seen the light of day (we need those purple Air Jordan 4’s, Trav!!!).
Per Hypebeast:

An initial preview of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Black Olive” has appeared, pointing to next year as a possible release period. Similarities can be drawn to the duo’s initial “Mocha” pair that stirred up the sneaker scene back in 2019. This time, the mocha brown has been swapped out for an olive finish that combines with a black base, a white lateral reverse Swoosh and an off-white midsole. Red branding elements are scattered throughout while the medial favors an olive Swoosh to complete the look.
At the time of writing, information surrounding the release of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Black Olive” is very limited. However, reputable sneaker insider zSneakerHeadz has shared that the pair is currently expected to release during the fall of 2024. Stay tuned for updates as we expect it to be made available via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at some point next year.
Needless to say demand for these will be through the roof, but like the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 releases before these expect stock to be extremely limited with anywhere from 100,000 – 250,000 pairs being made available. With millions of sneakerheads foaming at the mouth for these, those kind of numbers really are just another a drop in the bucket.
Check out pics of the next “Cactus Jack” Air Jordan 1 lows below and let us know if you’ll be trying in vain to snatch a pair when they drop sometime next year.

Once again it’s on!

It’s that time of the year for sneakerheads when they get amped up for a limited edition Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 that will end up getting backdoored, botted and bootlegged like there’s no tomorrow. For months rumors have been swirling that the “Olive” colorway to the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low would be dropping sometime this year. Now, Sneakernews is reporting that the coveted colorway of the backward-swoosh silhouette will be hitting the streets next month.

Official images of the next pair of grails hit the internet yesterday, and these joints are a beaut. Many sneaker aficionados will surely try to add to their collection. (Good luck.) While the colorway alone is enough to have hypebeasts drooling, the devil truly lies in the details.

Much to the liking of the hip-hop multi-hyphenate, the silhouette boasts its typical assortment of premium embellishments, dipping its tumbled leather overlays in “Sail” while sitting atop contrasting charcoal-treated suedes. In keeping with his already expansive collaborative catalog, Cactus Jack motifs litter the insoles and upper tongue while pairing with the Jumpman logo on the heel in a vibrant swatch of red. Color matching the latter within the tongue tabs branding, “Olive” tinted Swooshes coordinate with the tread underfoot for a tasteful accent while the aged aesthetic applied to the midsole ties up the fifth AJ 1 Low collaboration to hit retail.
Needless to say, these will be releasing via raffle (i.e. L’s for any and everyone that doesn’t have a plug or isn’t a bot). If history has taught us anything, quantities will be limited to around 100,000 pairs (if that). That may sound like a lot but given that there’s tens of millions of sneakerheads around the world, that’s like a grain of sand in the desert as far as we’re concerned.
Also one would have to take into account that these are rumored to be the very last Travis Scott Air Jordan 1’s that will be releasing. Scott will be focusing on making the Air Jordan 3’s and 7’s his next hit remixes. That’s just going to make these 1’s that much hotter of a commodity out in these streets.
The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 “Olive” is set to release April 26 in women and kids sizes. Will you be trying to land a pair? We know we will. Sound off in the comments section below.

While sneakerheads bicker, battle and bot highly-anticipated general releases like this past weekend’s “Reimagined” Air Jordan 3’s, colleges like Howard University are out here getting the kind of grails we can only dream of getting our hands on.

Sneakernews is reporting that the historic Black college have been blessed by Jordan Brand with their own PE Air Jordan 1 Lows that boast the University’s colors on the silhouette and man are these a beauty. Baring a striking resemblance to the OG “Chicago” colorway of the Air Jordan 1 High’s, the Howard University PE’s feature a textured fabric in a mostly red and white color block with the Nike swoosh in Bison blue. But what really makes these joints pop are the details that come with it.

Swooshes on the sides and lateral forefoot introduce the Bison’s signature navy tone, while labels on the tongue follow suit. The inner-lining on the low-top Air Jordan 1 enjoy a quilted satin material, making the sneakers that much more special. Traditional “NIKE AIR” logos are replaced with “HOWARD BISON” graphics on the sockliner. Lastly, an off white and brown combination rounds out the sole unit.

Makes you want to enroll in Howard University just to see if you can somehow get a pair. You won’t but still.
Naturally these more than likely won’t ever see a general release but don’t be surprised if you see a few pairs pop up on the secondary market for a few grand.
Would you drop a King Kong grip on these joints if you had the chance? Let us know in the comments section below.

Another Union LA and Air Jordan collaboration is on the way. After receiving some lukewarm reviews for their Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 4 colorways, they’ll be going back to the ones that started it all with another Air Jordan 1 High OG colorway.

The sneaker world went into a frenzy earlier this week when word leaked that Union LA and Jordan Brand were working on a new colorway for their revered Air Jordan 1 collaboration they dropped in 2018. Though the actual colorway is still a mystery, it’s said that the new installment will be “unlike anything you’ve ever seen” in both the colorway and details. Regardless of how the sneakers look, best believe hypebeasts will be jumping all over this release as the previous Union x Air Jordan 1s are reselling for $1600+ on the secondary market these days.

While we await our first official look at the upcoming collaboration, word is that the sneakers will drop sometime later this year, which will give resellers ample time to configure their sneaker bots to attack the website once it’s on and popping (SMFH). Also wouldn’t be surprised if Benjamin Kicks ends up with half of this inventory like he did with the Union x Air Jordan 2s. Just saying.

Sneakerheads the Kardashian’s are not, but they know the trends that keep people talking. So when Khloe Kardashian showed up to Bronny’s high school basketball game in a pair of Air Jordan 1 “Mochas,” y’all know she knew what she was doing.

Though it was seemingly an attempt to show that she was “up on it,” the move has had a negative effect on sneakerheads who might’ve been interested in paying resale prices for the grails as Khloe single-handedly caused the value to blowup overnight. TMZ is reporting that since Khloe wore the highly sought after sneakers to Bronny’s game last week, Remo from Walk Like Us told TMZ that the resale value skyrocketed like a MF.

Remo tells TMZ … the shoes normally go for a max of $130 for the women’s grade school sizes, but after the Kardashian’s appearance some are going as high as $600 — which we’re told is pretty rare, especially for the female sizes. FYI, sizes 6 and 7 are the most expensive right now. We’re told a spike like this is more common for men’s size, but retailers instantly noticed the price jump up the same day Kim and Khloe sat courtside for the L.A. area high school showcase.

Kim meanwhile was rocking a pair of Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 “Mochas” as well though the resale value on that is already absurd so that didn’t matter. This is a new kind of Kardashian Kurse as far as us sneakerheads are concerned. Thank goodness they haven’t discovered Off-White Air Jordans or Lobster Dunks.

Just give them all the adidas and Reeboks they could ever need and keep it moving. Life is already hard enough dealing with these sneaker bots and backdooring sneaker boutiques, now we gotta deal with Kardashian’s hyping up prices? What do y’all think of Kardashian’s rocking grails and causing resale prices to soar?
