Natti Natasha Gives Bachata Masterclass With ‘Desde Hoy’ Performance at Premio Lo Nuestro 2025

Natti Natasha commanded the stage at Premio Lo Nuestro with a captivating performance, where she gave a masterclass in bachata.

Wearing a backless black dress with a high slit, the Dominican star performed “Desde Hoy,” the gorgeous song that opens her new album Natti Natasha en Amargue. The set is entirely produced and penned by the King of Bachata himself, Romeo Santos. Natti began the performance serenading the couple next to her who danced bachata. She later showed off her own dance moves with her dancing partner.

During Billboard‘s red carpet livestream, Natti — a six-time nominee tonight — spoke about working with Romeo Santos for the LP. “He’s going to be watching the show tonight,” she said. “And I hope he and the Romeistas feels proud. I also hope my country, my flag and Latin America feels proud. Everyone has supported bachata and today we will be bachateando.”

Pepe, Ángela & Leonardo Aguilar Honor Paquita la del Barrio at Premio Lo Nuestro 2025

Paquita la del Barrio was honored in a big way at Premio Lo Nuestro 2025 on Thursday (Feb 20), just a few days after it was announced that she died at age 77.

After playing a short clip of when Paquita won the Lifetime Achievement Award at Premio Lo Nuestro in 2016, Mexican music icon Pepe Aguilar, alongside his children Leonardo and Ángela, took the stage to perform an emotional tribute honoring the late legend’s career.

The Aguilar dynasty — among the most nominated artists of the night — sang two of the late singer’s classics: “Me Saludas a la Tuya” and “Tres Veces Te Engañé.” All three artists visibly emotional as they performed and Marc Anthony on his feet, moved by the riveting medley.

With a career spanning over five decades, Paquita la del Barrio was an idol in popular music. In 2011, she received the Billboard Regional Mexican Music Award “La Voz,” and 10 years later, in 2021, she was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Billboard Latin Music Awards for her exceptional career. Paquita will forever be remembered as a woman who empowered other women through her refreshingly raw and honest lyrics.

Will Smith Welcomes Premio Lo Nuestro 2025 to ‘Miami’ for Fiery Flamenco-Rap Opening Act

Premio Lo Nuestro 2025 ceremoniously kicked off in Miami on Thursday (Feb. 20) with an opening act led by Will Smith and flamenco-pop artist India Martínez.

The duo opened the show with their heartfelt flamenco-rap track “First Love.” Martínez, clad in a black sequined dress, set the stage with soul-stirring vocals accompanied by evocative flamenco-style guitar strums that filled the venue. Will Smith, decked out in a sleek suit, soon joined her, melding his rhythmic rap verses with the song’s melodious flair. The performance peaked dramatically when Smith leaned in for a staged kiss, only for Martínez to walk away, heightening the theatrical tension.

The energy escalated as they transitioned into Smith’s very fitting 1997 hit “Miami,” with that classic sample of “And the Beat Goes On” by The Whispers, while he now rocked a tropical-styled shirt. DJ Khaled amplified the vibe with his characteristic vigor. Meanwhile, Thalia and the legendary Miami Sound Machine added their distinctive style to the act, capturing the evening’s theme of “Uniting Generations.” Thalia, also pulling double-duty as host with Laura Pausini and Alejandra Espinoza, shifted gears from presenter to star performer.

“This is a really beautiful time for me as I’m starting to release new music,” Smith said a day prior at a private event, co-hosted by Neon16. “I’ve had a couple of years of really wonderful introspection, and I’ve had some beautiful revelations. I’m having a ball trying to express these things artistically.”

This isn’t the first time he’s made music with Latin stars: In 2016, Smith teamed up with Bomba Estéreo on “Fiesta Remix,” and last year the Philly rapper joined J Balvin at Coachella, where they re-enacted Men In Black.

2025 Premio Lo Nuestro: Stars on the Magenta Carpet

Latin music stars gathered on Thursday (Feb. 20) at the Kaseya Center in Miami for the 37th annual Premio Lo Nuestro Awards.

The three-hour show will kick off with Will Smith and India Martínez, who will be performing the television debut of their newly released track, “First Love.” They will be joined by rapper and producer DJ Khaled, Mexican pop star Thalia and Miami Sound Machine.

Both Thalia and Will Smith arrived early to the red carpet. Other artists who showed up and showed out included Danny Ocean, Majo Aguilar, Reik, Alejandro Sanz and Leonardo Aguilar.

Natti Natasha also walked the carpet and stunned in a pristine white dress. She talked to Billboard on the red carpet about her new bachata album entirely produced by Romeo Santos. “He’s definitely watching tonight, and I hope he’s proud,” the Dominican artist said.

Tito Double P, dressed in black from head to toe, where he shared that he and his cousin, Peso Pluma, are working on an EP.

The track, which was released on Thursday (Feb. 20), opens with a voicemail message before Gomez sings the breezy opening lines: Call me when you break up/ I want to be the first one on your mind when you wake up/ I miss the way we’d stay up/ We’d talk about forever while I’m taking off my makeup.” The corresponding music video is filmed selfie-style, with Gomez musing the lyrics from her bed.

Abrams joins in on the second verse sitting next to her on the bed, before the duo harmonize together on the chorus, proclaiming, “Call me when you break up/ I’ll make it worth it.” The song’s roll-out was quick, as Gomez and Blanco began teasing the track earlier this week on social media.

“Seriously had the BEST time making this song and video with these two!” Gomez wrote on Instagram following the single’s release.

“Call Me When You Break Up” is set to be featured on Gomez and Blanco’s upcoming joint album, I Said I Love You First, which is scheduled to arrive on March 21. The newly engaged duo announced the project last week, while also dropping its lead single, “Scared of Loving You.”

Kodak Black Attends White House’s Black History Month Event

Kodak Black attended a Black History Month reception at the White House on Thursday (Feb. 20).

“Kodak in the People’s House,” the official White House X account wrote along with an American flag emoji and photos of the “Super Gremlin” MC. Fellow rappers Boosie Badazz and Rod Wave were also invited, a White House official told the Associated Press on the condition of anonymity.

“Today, we pay tribute to the generations of Black legends, champions, warriors and patriots who helped drive our country forward to greatness. And you really are great, great people,” President Donald Trump said during the event, according to the Washington Post.

Black (real name Bill Kahan Kapri) endorsed Trump in an October 2023 episode of Drink Champs by saying, “I f–k with that boy. He a Gemini like me — his birthday two days after my s–t. And that boy, like, he be vibin’ out here too.” Earlier that year, he said on social media, “We need Trump in office forever, man. Just like how them Chinese and Russian and Korean motherf—ers have their president. Trump the best thing for America.”

His comments came over two years after Trump pardoned him on his last day in office during his first presidential term. Black was less than halfway through with his 46-month prison sentence at the time, having pled guilty to a firearms possession charge after being detained at the Canadian-American border in March 2020. Less than a week after he was pardoned, Black released his “Last Day In” single, where he rapped, “Trump just freed me, but my favorite president is on the money/ All they hatin’ presidents has become evident to me.”

If we know anything about Wiz Khalifa it’s that the man’s love affair with Mary Jane rivals that of Rick James, 90’s Redman, and maybe even Bob Marley, so it should come as no surprise that the Pittsburgh spitter dedicate his latest cut to the love of his life.

Dropping off some new visuals to “So Many Pounds Freestyle,” Wiz Khalifa shows just how faithful he is to Mary Jane as he raps about every which way she’s involved in his life over Tupac’s classic “So Many Tears” instrumental while he flies the friendly skies in a private plane before getting smoked out and performing for his adoring fans. You’d think with a title like that he’d show pounds and pounds of weed, but no, he didn’t. Go figure.

B.G meanwhile keeps his comeback tour going and in his clip to “I Don’t Give A F**k,” the OG Hot Boy stunts from his hotel room to the streets as he styles in a gang of ice and strolls alongside his ride-or-die chick and some guard dogs that look ready for action.

Hailee Steinfeld Hilariously Throws Shade at Fiancé Josh Allen’s AFC East Rivals

Hailee Steinfeld has her fiancé Josh Allen‘s back.

During a recent interview with Who What Wear, the actress took a football IQ quiz, where at one point, she had to name the four teams in the AFC East division. “You got the Buffalo Bills and the Bills’ three sons,” Steinfeld playfully responded. Allen is the quarterback for the Bills.

Steinfeld breezed through the rest of the questions, including the name of the Super Bowl trophy and more.

“Gossiping is a form of entertainment for people who have no meaningful goals or purpose in life,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “Hate me, bring shame to my name, say bad things about me, I don’t care. Your existence doesn’t add any value in my life.”

Relli accused Rocky of trying to shoot him in L.A. during an altercation in November of 2021, leading to the Harlem rapper being charged with two felonies and a very public trial that lasted about a month. At the start of the trial, Rocky turned down a plea deal that would’ve resulted in 180 days in jail, three years probation, and a seven-year suspended sentence and instead opted to take his chances with a jury of 12.

After the being found not guilty, Rocky addressed the media outside of the courthouse and thanked God and the jury. “I thank God first. You gotta thank God first,” he said. “And I really wanna thank the jury for making the right decision. I’m just so thankful. This is crazy right now.

Big Time Rush Announce ‘In Real Life’ Tour Playing Every Song From Their TV Show

The guys of Big Time Rush are bringing their Nickelodeon show on the road, with Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega unveiling plans to perform every song from every episode of their 2010s TV series on a world tour announced Thursday (Feb. 20).

Four years after reuniting in 2021, the In Real Life World Tour will kick off July 9 in Birmingham, Alabama, and see BTR traveling throughout the United States — stopping in Florida, New York, Texas, California and more — through the end of August. In November, the quartet will then take the trek overseas for a month in Europe, setting up shop in Germany, Italy, Spain, France and more before closing out Dec. 14 in Athens.

Also joining the guys as support are Katelyn Tarver and Stephen Kramer Glickman, who played Jo and Gustavo on Big Time Rush during the show’s run from 2009 to 2013. More international dates will be announced at a later date.

“We truly have the best fans in the world, and when we sat down to plot this tour we wanted to give them everything they have always asked us for and dreamed of,” Big Time Rush said of the trek in a joint statement. “That’s the reason we are so excited to be going on the road all over the world to play every song from every episode of the TV show. We know how many of our fans hold these songs close to their hearts having first heard so many of them watching our show.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to also be bringing our dear friends from the TV show, Katelyn Tarver and Stephen Kramer Glickman, who we have never gotten the chance to tour with before,” the group added. “We have so many surprises in store for our Rushers for the In Real Life Worldwide tour and can’t wait to see everyone on the road very soon!”

And when Schmidt, Maslow, Henderson and PenaVega say every song from the series, they truly mean every song from the show’s four seasons. That includes deep cuts in addition to Billboard Hot 100 hits such as “Boyfriend” and “Halfway There.” During Big Time Rush‘s run, the foursome dropped three albums: BTR, Elevate and 24/7, all of which charted on the Billboard 200.

Shortly after the show ended, Big Time Rush went on hiatus before coming back together in 2021, taking over the band’s name from Nickelodeon and releasing music of their own. Most recently, the group dropped single “Only One” last summer.
