Symba helped kick off the Golden State Warriors 2022-2023 NBA season by lending his voice to narrate their opening night highlight video.

On Tuesday evening (October 18), in the second game of the double-header NBA season opener, the reigning champion Warriors faced off against LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers. Prior to the jump ball, the Warriors had their ring ceremony, during which they hung their seventh championship banner.

To get fans ready for the event, NBC Sports teamed up with the Dubs, Symba and fellow Bay Area son Mistah F.A.B. for a video hyping up the new season. The video montage contained clips from the Warriors 2021-2022 remarkable championship run.

“They said the run was over, that this team was washed, that the dynasty by The Bay had come to an end, I’m not sure what else they’ve been saying.” Symba said before fellow Bay Area native Mistah F.A.B chimed in and added: “I mean it’s awfully hard to hear with all this champagne and confetti. The Larry is back where it belongs. Warriors! Champs once again.”

The West Coast duo then spoke on the dynamic between the older core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green playing with the younger group of Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga and more.

“See, this is the golden age of basketball. While the rest of the league was playing checkers, we was out here making chess moves,” Symba continued as Fabby said: “‘Cause how you run the game, is the same you run the game.”

“With the OGs, some of the greatest to ever do it,” Symba said with F.A.B. co-signing his statement. “True G.O.A.T. status, Billy!”

The video ended with the two rappers speaking on the competition the Warriors are facing with being champions for the fourth time in eight years. According to Symba and Mistah F.A.B. it’ll be tough, but the Dubs were “built for this” and are ready for the “next test.”

The Warriors ended up beating the Lakers 123 to 109 behind Steph Curry’s 33-point night, which also came with seven assists and six boards. LeBron James led the way for his Lakers squad with 31 points, eight assists and 14 rebounds.

Last month, Symba continued his run of decimating freestyles by spitting over Ice Spice’s breakout hit “Munch (Feelin’ U).”

Kanye West has apologized for his anti-Semitic remarks in a new interview with Piers Morgan as part of his controversial media tour this week.

Ye was initially apprehensive about apologizing but he eventually reached a point in the interview where he took responsibility for his comments and showed remorse to those he hurt. Yeezy said he made the “Death Con 3” comments knowing they were racist and admitted that “hurt people, hurt people.”

“I will say I’m sorry for the people that I hurt with the Death Con,” he said. “I feel like I caused hurt and confusion and I’m sorry for the families of the people that had nothing to do with the trauma that I’d been through. And I used my platform where you say, ‘Hurt people, hurt people.’ And I was hurt.

“I wanna say that it’s wrong to hold an apology hostage and I gotta let go of that and free myself of the trauma and say, ‘Look, I’m just gonna give it all up to God right now. And say to those families that are hurt I really wanna give you guys a big hug and I say I’m sorry for hurting you with my comments.”

Ye continued: “And I want to word it not in a political way, but a presidential way, which means what I knew to be a president when I was growing up.”

In documents obtained by The Blast, Ye’s lawyer has reportedly filed a “declaration of disclosure,” turning over all his financial documents to his estranged wife’s legal team.

He’s also reportedly reached an agreement on how to divide finances and property. According to The Blast, “in cases of this kind, the disclosure is filed within days or weeks of the final judgment and settlement being filed.”

Meanwhile, Dame Dash has admitted he’s worried about Kanye West’s wellbeing following his recent outbursts.

During a recent trip to London, the Roc-A-Fella co-founder — who signed Ye to the label in 2002 — appeared on Kick Game‘s sneaker shopping series and was asked about his current thoughts on Kanye.

Big Sean has given YK Osiris some valuable advice after the R&B singer scared fans with talk of suicide earlier this week.

Osiris had fans worrying about his health on Tuesday (October 18) after he shared a cryptic video message to his socials where he spoke about his unhappiness with his career.

“I wanna die. I wanna kill myself,” he said in part, holding back tears. “I wanna just leave this Earth. But something telling me…I don’t know….I can’t even see my kids. People look at me as a clown. I’m a talented person. But that doesn’t matter because I don’t drop my music. I don’t do shit. I haven’t even performed in fucking two years, n-gga. I get why they don’t fuck with me. But, I don’t know.”

In a follow-up video posted to Instagram, Osiris thanked all those who checked in on him and admitted he was “drained.”

“I was very down and very emotional, and I was drained but y’all help me a lot,” Osiris said. “Knowing that you don’t have friends in the industry and things like that, but you do have people out there that really love you. That really wanna see you win, and I realized that yesterday and today.”

He continued: “All I wanna say is check on your people. Check on your mom and your sisters. I don’t care if you mad, I don’t know if you mad but people need love man. People need that love man for real…keep God first man, cause if we don’t got nobody we got God!”

Big Sean echoed this sentiment in the comment section of Osiris’s post. “Saying this outta love bro! Love yourself first so you dont need everyone or anyone else’s love to function or to feel good,” Sean said.

“When you your own source of happiness n love then any love you get is just extra on top (which is beautiful) and any love you dont get, you’re still you and un affected, or at least not as affected by conditional circumstances or how others feel about you.”

Big Sean concluded: “Just leaving that here for others as well. Glad you feeling better though bro. God got you!”

Fetty Wap has updated fans on his current condition inside a federal prison while he waits for his drug trafficking case to begin.

On Tuesday (October 18), an audio clip surfaced online of the “Trap Queen” rapper seemingly in good spirits and thanking fans for all the support they’ve been showing him since he was arrested on federal drug charges ahead of his performance at Rolling Loud in October 2021 in Queens, New York.

“Ayo, yo, what’s good, man, you already know it’s your boy Fetty Wap 1738, you heard,” Fetty Wap said. “I just want to thank all the fans. You feel me? All the fans showing me love, sending all the reels and the stories and everything and all the tags, photos and everything like that you heard.

“You know I got my head up always, you know what I’m saying? Like never bent, never fold, I love y’all thank y’all for everything you know what I’m saying.”

The audio comes weeks after a picture popped up online of Fetty Wap wearing a brown prison jumpsuit and posing next to three other inmates. The New Jersey native was reportedly being held at a special housing unit at a federal jail in Brooklyn.

Fetty Wap was out on $500,000 bond but had been arrested on August 8 for his role on a FaceTime call in December 2021, where he allegedly threatened to kill another man. Fetty broke the conditions of his release and New Jersey state law, leading Magistrate Judge Steven Locke to send him back to jail, where he is still waiting to start his trial in Central Islip Federal Court.

Fetty Wap Thanks Fans For Support Following Multi-Million Dollar Drug Bust

The rapper pleaded guilty on August 22 to federal drug charges in connection to his interstate drug trafficking case. He was in Long Island Federal Court, where he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute 500 grams of cocaine, according to the New York Daily News.

The guilty plea comes with a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum of 40 years. “I agreed with other people to distribute cocaine,” Fetty told the judge during the hearing. “Guilty.”

Despite seemingly being in good spirits in the prison photo and the most recent audio clip, Fetty’s lawyer Elizabeth Macedonio explained during his guilty plea that she was “very concerned about his housing” and that he was subject to the “harshest of conditions.”

She also requested his transfer to another jail while he waits for sentencing, but prosecutors say the decision to move Fetty to another prison facility is in the hands of the Bureau of Prisons and the US Marshals Service.

Future has been called out by a woman claiming to be one of his children’s mother and accused of missing numerous child support payments.

A woman who allegedly had a daughter with King Pluto took to Instagram on Tuesday (October 18) to blast the “Life Is Good” rapper for suddenly stopping his child support payments.

“You can cuss Future out damn near slap that ni-gga and he will not trip,” she shared to her Instagram story. “But go to the internet he gone come for your throat. He hates it!”

She continued: “I know he miss me eating his ass but we don’t need to be doing this bad term good term shit every few months.”

She then scolded Future for bringing home “a bunch of thotty hate hoes,” before saying: “What’s sad is he really wants to be a better person. He has good days where he cry it out … but then the devil work him back to hell. I can’t speak for some of the BMs who he never did shit for, but deep down he know I been solid. I didn’t just meet him, it’s been six years. So I know his good side and his bad side.”

She continued: “Peace is the real wealth but b4 I dead him for real this time I had to share this so he can see I’m fucking serious this time! Now he got a reason to hate me.”

While this woman’s identity remains a mystery, she is far from the first baby mama to criticize Future’s parenting skills. In 2021, Brittni Mealy, the mother of Future’s 8-year-old son Prince, took to Instagram to share an alleged text message convo between Future and Prince in which the former writes: “Your mother is a hoe!”

Mealy wrote in the caption: “He texts this to a child! You a real coward he 8 years old stupid.” Future replied with a cap emoji, but Mealy said the exchange was definitely real.

“Definitely not cap!” she wrote in response. “TF I got to lie for you said it definitely your # and his so stand on it and pipe down if you don’t want these recordings posted! On gawd you said it they need to cancel you. Cruelty to children! Haven’t seen him in 3 months but in the same state I can keep going! Got a refund on his school clothes today! Petty ’cause someone don’t wanna be sexually active with you and just want to co-parent!!”

She added: “I have been sooooo nice and calm I’m tired now!!! But I’m chill! I do not play about my kids! I’m a mother first and always go stand up for mine.”

Future took to Twitter to respond once again, simply writing: “Pray for her.”

In another instance in 2020, Mealy claimed Future had told Prince that he planned to “shoot up his mom,” and back in 2018, model and businesswoman Eliza Reign, who claimed to be pregnant with another one of Future’s children, accused the platinum-selling rapper of threatening to kill her and her unborn baby.

Future has yet to comment on the most recent claims made against him.
