If you are attending a Drake concert please act accordingly. Drizzy checked a fan for throwing his book at him.

As spotted in People, the Toronto, Canada native recently performed at the San Francisco date of his It’s All A Blur tour. During a brief intermission an attendee felt the need to toss their copy of Titles Ruin Everything, A Stream of Consciousness by Kenza Samir and Aubrey Graham at the “Way 2 Sexy” MC. The ticket holder seemed to throw the printed work with some force as it nearly hit Champagne Papi in the head.

Thankfully he caught the book mid air and avoided the embarrassing moment. “You lucky I’m quick,” he told the fan. “I would have had to beat your ass if that hit me in the face”. While he made it clear he didn’t take too kindly to the fan throwing the book Drake has been literally showered with gifts during this concert series. Throughout the Blur tour women of all ages and sizes have been throwing their bras at Aubrey. So much so he expressed disappointment at his Montreal, Canada when the ladies did not throw any undergarments at all.

“I would just like to say, before I go onto this next song, this is the first stage where I don’t have no bras, and I’m deeply disappointed,” he told the crowd. “But don’t start throwing shoes and phones and sh*t. If you got a bra, though, just let me know that I still got it ’cause I feel like I might be having a bad show or something.”

You can see Drake catch the book below.

Britney Spears Jukebox Musical ‘Once Upon a One More Time’ to Close on Broadway

Once Upon a One More Time, Broadway’s Britney Spears jukebox musical, will come to a close in less than two weeks. Playbill confirmed the news Monday (Aug. 21) and revealed that the musical’s final performance will take place at the Marquis Theatre on Sept. 3.

“We could not be prouder of this beautifully joyous and exhilarating show—which is not only a love letter to Britney’s iconic artistry and singular effervescence, but also a brilliant display of the boundless talent of our cast and creative team,” the musical’s producers, James L. Nederlander and Hunter Arnold, said in a joint statement. “We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to this dream team of collaborators, performers, designers, staff, crew, and investors who continue to share our passion and joy for this project. As plans take shape for the show’s future life around the globe, we’re excited to share more news soon!”

The plot of Once Upon a One More Time follows fairytale heroines after one rogue fairy godmother sneaks copies of The Feminine Mystique into their laps. The former damsels, now inspired by the text, all try to change their respective stores, set to the soundtrack of Spears’ pop hits.

Once Upon a One More Time began its previews on May 13 and formally opened on June 13 at the Marquis Theatre. When production takes its final bow, it will have completed 123 performances. Before officially landing on Broadway, Once Upon a One More Time played a run at Shakespeare Theatre Company in 2021.

In June, Spears praised the show on Instagram, writing, “Good luck to the hardworking cast and crew of ‘Once Upon a One More Time’ on opening night tonight!!! I’ve seen the show and it is so funny, smart and brilliant!!!”

MC Ceja Crowned Best Latin Rapper by Fans: See the Readers’ Top 10 Picks

Almost two weeks ago, Billboard Latin and Billboard Español revealed our picks for “The 50 Most Essential Spanish-Language Rappers of Yesterday and Today,” honoring the most influential and outstanding rap stars from the Hispanophone world in celebration of Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary.

The selection process of the ranked list — which was led by Residente at No. 1, followed by Vico C at No. 2, Ana Tijoux at No.3, Tego Calderón at No. 4, and Orishas at No. 5 — took into account body of work/achievements (charted releases, gold/platinum certifications), cultural impact/influence (how the artist’s work fostered the genre’s evolution), longevity (years at the mic), lyrics (storytelling skills) and flow (vocal prowess).

On social media, the ranking became a viral topic of conversation amongst fans, podcasters and artists alike, who shared different opinions and points of view on who should be at No. 1. As a result, Billboard opened a fan-based poll to the public, asking readers to vote for their favorite artist from the 50 acts.

The winner? MC Ceja, nabbing over 30 percent of the votes. He was followed by the late Venezuelan artist Canserbero, with more than 17 percent of the votes.

“At first I was confused, because a lot of people were hitting me up on social media and they seemed pretty upset by it, saying that I needed to be in the top 10 or top 5,” Ceja tells Billboard. “But it felt good to still be acknowledged and for people to still listen to my music after all these years. I feel great and grateful because it signifies my legacy, my talent, my effort, and my career.”

Named after his heavy set of eyebrows, Ceja is a Puerto Rican-born, Brooklyn-raised artist, who is credited as one of the first rappers of the ‘90s to spit bars in both Spanish and English. Known for staple tracks such as “Se Lamentarán,” “Bacalao,” “Loba” and “Brillando Más,” Ceja is an enduring reference point in the Latin rap community, influencing several artists who ranked high on the list, including Residente.

“The key is the passion I always had for music and the culture,” he explains. “I always tried to be different from everyone and build my own style and craft, not knowing I was going to influence all of these artists and the generations after me. I’ve always been faithful to rap music because it makes me feel good. I don’t do music to please other people. Music saved my life.”

Below, check out our readers’ top 10 Latin rappers picks, and see the full poll results here.

Ciara Claps Back at Women’s Basketball Coach for Saying She Makes ‘TikTok Music’

Ciara is standing up to the haters.

The “1, 2 Step” singer took to Twitter on Sunday (Aug. 20) to reply to a tweet accusing her of making “TikTok music.” The user is an assistant coach at William & Mary Tribe Women’s Basketball in Virginia, according to her Twitter profile.

“And.. ..you’re watching…:) taking time to comment. Gotta love it,” Ciara replied with a laughing emoji, before following up with another tweet: “Not the assistant coach of a women’s basketball team taking time to hate.. that makes no sense.”

Despite the trolls, it’s been an incredible month for Ciara, who revealed that she’s expecting her third baby with husband Russell Wilson, and her fourth child altogether. “’You look at me like that again, we make another kid…,” she captioned the Instagram post, quoting lyrics from her new song “How We Roll” with Chris Brown. “You my heart I’m your rib.”

The “One, Two Step” singer is already mom to three kids, including 9-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Future. After marrying Wilson in 2016, she and the Denver Broncos quarterback welcomed daughter Sienna Princess in 2017 followed by son Win Harrison in 2020.

The announcement also came just four days after “How We Roll” dropped, which follows previous 2023 singles from Ciara “Da Girls,” “Slow” with Jackson Wang and “Get Loose” with AGNEZ MO.

MAGA Stooge Kid Rock Clowned For Drinking Bud Light

UFC 287: Curtis v Gastelum

Kid Rock might not have any hit records that the general public cares about, but he’s since rebranded as an All-American tough guy who likes to shoot beer cans and all that jazz. The former struggle rapper and faux rock lord was spotted drinking a can of supposedly too-woke Bud Light and folks on X, formerly known as Twitter, are cooking him.

As reported by TMZ, Kid Rock was seen crushing a cold can of Bud Light in Nashville, Tenn. while taking in a Colt Ford show at Skydeck. While the Michigan native famously sued some of his high-powered to shoot up a case of Bud Light in protest over them working with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney, it came as a shock to some that Rock would dare to be seen in public gripping a can of “Woke Suds.”

While it isn’t known why the King of Fedoras has decided to walk back his performative Bud Light ban, he does look funny in the light to several folks on X, formerly known as Twitter. On the platform, users are giving Rock the business for sipping on Bud Light. Given that the brand saw its sales drop after the Mulvaney partnership soured the connection between them and their core supporters, maybe Kid Rock sipping on the brew is the start of a bounce back? Who knows.

Check out the reactions from X below.

Anthony’s 13 songs listed above also all debut on the 25-position Country Digital Song Sales chart, from “Richmond” at No. 1 to “Between You & Me” at No. 25. He ties the record for the most simultaneous top-25 entries; 13 titles by Kenny Rogers reached the ranking dated April 4, 2020, following his passing that March 20.

T.I. Joins In On The Jokes & Clowns His Son King Harris’ New Teeth

ATL Hip-Hop Hop 50 Concert: Yesterday, Today And (404)-Ever

Like father, like son. King Harris is not only following his daddy, T.I., regarding his career choice but is also part of the veneers gang. Unfortunately, he is getting clowned for his new chompers.

King Harris was happy to debut his aggressively big new teeth last week and was immediately met with jokes. We are sure he didn’t think his father would be one of the so-called “haters” cutting up about his new grill.

Spotted on HipHopDX, the rapper, now aspiring comedian, joined by fellow comedians K Dubb, Jayski, and Ronnie Jordan, sat down for an interview with DJ Diamond Kuts on Saturday (August 19), and his son’s latest dental surgery was part of the conversation.

Per HipHopDX:

“Aye, look man. The man said he wanted his teeth done, he put his paper up, stacked his money, and he went and got his teeth done,” he began. “I respect and admire and celebrate the actual process he went through to get them done. And so when I seen him, I was congratulatory. I was like, ‘Hell yeah, man. They white!”

K Dubb interjected and said: “When I seen them, I said he had teeth like Garfield,” which caused the whole room — including T.I. — to erupt in laughter.

“So, I said, ‘They white, man. They nice!’ ‘Cause the dentist did do a good job,” the Grand Hustle general continued. “I’m giving him props, and his momma walk in, and the first thing she say, ‘Why the hell is they so damn big!’”

The Jokes About King’s New Teeth Keep Coming

The jokes didn’t stop there. After the room was finished laughing, one of the other comedians took the opportunity to crack a joke hilariously, saying they were King’s father’s teeth.

“But what y’all [gotta] understand, he’s a growing boy, he gon’ grow into them!” the “U Don’t Know Me” rapper added.

The laughs returned in full force when Dubb hilariously called Tip’s son “Teeth Keef” and “Teeth Sweat,” both are clever plays on music artists Chief Keef and Keith Sweat.

Having heard enough, King’s sister came to his defense, telling the folks in the room, “Don’t talk about my brother like that.”

King had time for the people talking about his shiny new veneers, clapping back in a video response, “Aye, I gotta make this video for the big teeth trolls, man,” he said in an Instagram video. “Aye bro, listen, calm down, bruh. Your bitch ain’t going nowhere. She still gon’ be there. I don’t want her.”

Twitter; oops, X users have been going in with the jokes. You can see those reactions in the gallery below.

Rihanna & A$AP Rocky Welcome Baby No. 2: Report

Congratulations are in order for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky who welcomed their second child together, according to reports on Monday (Aug. 21).

TMZ was the first to report the news, while sources told Entertainment Tonight, “Rihanna and ASAP will spend the early days of parenthood out of the public eye and won’t make any immediate plans to debut the new baby.”

The new bundle of joy arrives one year and three months after RiRi welcomed the couple’s first child — a baby boy — in May 2022. RiRi revealed that she was pregnant again during her 2023 Super Bowl halftime show performance in February, surprising fans in a curve-hugging red outfit that showed off her baby bump.

Since then, she’s been rocking her signature, envy-worthy maternity style on red carpets, social media and beyond. In March, she stepped out with A$AP at the 2023 Academy Awards, baby bump on full display in a shawl and low-waisted skirt. The couple adorably posed for a few photos together, some of which captured the sweet moment Rocky cradled Ri’s pregnant belly.

The Barbados-born superstar also appeared at the Met Gala in May, donning a gorgeous all-white Valentino wedding gown with a train, adorned with white roses. “It’s so different from the first one,” she told ET of her second pregnancy. “No cravings. Tons of nausea. Everything’s different, but I’m enjoying it.”

“I feel good,” added the “Love on the Brain” singer. “I feel energetic.”

Miguel Bosé Says He Was Attacked by 10 Armed Men at His Mexico City Home

On Monday (Aug. 21), Miguel Bosé shared that he was the victim of an assault by armed men at his home in Mexico City, where he was held hostage along with his two children by 10 hooded men on Friday. Local authorities say they have opened an investigation.

“Dear friends, on Friday night a commando of 10 armed subjects broke into my home, assaulted us, tied my children, the house staff, and myself for more than two hours,” the Spanish star wrote on his official Instagram account.

The “Si Tú No Vuelves” singer assured that everyone is fine, although he said the thieves took “everything” in an act that, in his opinion, seemed “very studied and militaristic.”

“It was all very tense, tricky and unpleasant,” he said, but “we are all fine. My children behaved like two brave men. Admirable.”

He did not specify, however, whether he had reported or will report the crime to the authorities. The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office reported in a statement that it had already opened an investigation folder after the dissemination in the media of a “possible robbery at the home of a foreign singer, located in the Álvaro Obregón Mayor’s Office.”

The agency specified that, so far, “neither the victim and/or his legal representative, nor the administration of the residential complex where the events occurred have appeared before this Prosecutor’s Office to denounce the crime.” He invited Bosé and/or his legal representative to file a formal complaint.

In his Instagram post, Bosé also asked his followers to listen to his version and not to pay attention to rumors. In this sense, he clarified that he does not plan to leave Mexico, the country where he has lived since he left Panama in the fall of 2018. The artist lives in one of the most exclusive areas of the Mexican capital.

“I am very sorry to disappoint you, here I am and here I will stay to face whatever it takes, in the most hospitable country on the planet. We go on…”, he concluded in his post.

A wave of supportive messages have circulated social media following the 67-year-old singer and actor’s revelation, including from Mexican singers Carlos Rivera and Ximena Sariñana, as well as Italian singer Laura Pausini and Colombian star Carlos Vives, who left comments on the post.

“Migue all my solidarity to you and your family. I send you a big hug and we are glad you are well,” Vives wrote.

“Stay strong Miguel, I love you! I’m glad everyone is well,” wrote Mexican film and TV director Manolo Caro.
