Keke Palmer Addresses ‘Trauma’ in Her Private Life, Gets Support From SZA, Teyana Taylor & More

Keke Palmer is taking a moment to shed light on her life and prove that “reality TV” isn’t always reality.

Over the weekend, the multi-hyphenate took to Instagram to share a video of her caring for her son, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson, and included a very telling caption about her current situation.

“When reality tv makes everyone believe all celebrities are just one big marketing strategy and scheme but my life is truly unraveling at the seams and I just wear trauma like a Dolce & Gabbana coat because Sharon didn’t raise no bi—,” reads the text over the video, which is set to Nicki Minaj’s Beam Me Up Scotty cut “Seeing Green.”

The 30-year-old’s video comes amid a series of events involving her ex. The pair split earlier in the year after he made a comment on X about Palmer’s attire while attending Usher’s Las Vegas residency. Last month, she was granted a restraining order against Jackson that alleged physical and emotional abuse during their two-year relationship. She maintains sole custody of their 9-month-old son, Leodis.

Palmer seems to be doing her best to keep a sense of humor about everything. In the caption of the video, she wrote, “Alexa, Play Mary J: MY LIFE,” with a few crying laughing emojis.

The actress’ celebrity friends came out to support her in the comments section, with SZA writing, “Exactly she’s an icon and we praying and riding for you regardless !!” Teyana Taylor even shared a reference to Palmer’s “Keep a Bag” nickname, adding, “MY GURLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL … and add a good good purseeeee to make the garments pop cause you in ya bagggggggggg sis!!!”

The rapper was a vision in red for the performance, as she rocked a sparkling red, bell-bottom jumpsuit paired with a red lip and soft, wavy hair. She performed hits like “She Bad” and “Get Up 10,” as seen in clips posted to social media.

Niall Horan, Anitta and Charlie Puth also headlined TikTok In the Mix, which also featured performances from rising stars Isabel LaRosa, Kaliii, LU KALA and Sam Barber as part of TikTok’s emerging artist program, TikTok Elevate. For those unable to attend the event in person, In the Mix was also streamed globally via TikTok Live.

Cardi’s performance comes just days before the star confirmed her split from husband Offset on Monday (Dec. 11). “I’ve been single for a minute now but I have been afraid to like — not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world,” she told fans on Instagram Live. “But I feel like today has been a sign. The last time I got on Live, I kind of wanted to tell you guys, but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now. I just took it as a sign.”

“I wanna start 2024, like, fresh, open,” she added. “I don’t know. I’m curious for a new life, for a new beginning. And yeah, I’m excited.”

Nicki Minaj & 50 Cent Connect for the First Time on New Version of ‘Beep Beep’

With her current momentum on 10, Nicki Minaj opted to crank the decibels even more by enlisting 50 Cent on the newest version of her Pink Friday 2 song “Beep, Beep.”

“#QGTM SOUTHSIDE JAMAICA, QUEENS STAND TF UP!!!!!!!!!!!! He walked on this sh–. YIKESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I am so honored to have him stop by #GagCity!!!! #PinkFriday2,” an excited Minaj exclaimed Monday afternoon (Dec. 11) on Instagram. The small sample finds 50 in his element, spewing aggressive bars alongside Minaj’s braggadocious energy. 

The song is available on Minaj’s website for digital purchase and will hit streaming at midnight on Monday night. Minaj and 50 first teased the collaboration — their first ever — on Friday following the release of Pink Friday 2. After wishing his fellow Queens rep a happy birthday on social media, Minaj swiftly requested 50 to “send that verse in sir.” 

Minaj is keeping her promise of delivering new music shortly after the release of her fifth studio album. Last week on social media, she vowed to drop a song every day until this Friday. “Next week #GagCity welcomes a new edition every day beginning Monday or Tuesday,” Minaj tweeted. “Every day until Friday, you’ll get an [additional] song that completes my fave body of work to date. 4 more songs.”

Pink Friday 2 features Drake, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, J. Cole, Future and more. Minaj praised the latter after notching another fiery collaboration with “Nicki Hendrix” and revealed that the two have another record in the stash.

“Future’s versatility isn’t talked about enough,” Minaj shared on X last week. “And does it all in the most authentic way. While keeping his mystique. One of the most respected executives in the Rap industry is hoping to clear his name. Harve Pierre has formally denied the recent allegations against him.

TMZ is reporting that the former president of Bad Boy Entertainment is speaking out against some very damming accusations. In an exclusive statement shared with the celebrity news website the man formerly known as Joe Hooker vehemently denies claims that he participated in sexual assault against a minor. “This is a tale of fiction,” he said. “I have never participated in, witnessed, nor heard of anything like this, ever. These disgusting allegations are false and a desperate attempt for financial gain.” Pierre added “I will vigorously protect my reputation and defend my name. Those who know me recognize that these claims are not true.”

The latest lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs also claimed Pierre groomed an unidentified Detroit teen by flying her out on a private plane to New York City for a recording session. There at the studio she says men assaulted her in the bathroom while Pierre smoked crack cocaine from a Pepsi can. The filing states the abuse occurred on multiple occasions throughout 2016 and 2017.

Bad Boy Entertainment founder Diddy has found himself also fighting to keep a good name with multiple lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct. On December 6 he finally spoke up with a post shared throughout all his social media channels. “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”, the statement read. “FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS, I HAVE SAT SILENTLY AND WATCHED PEOPLE TRY TO ASSASSINATE MY CHARACTER, DESTROY MY REPUTATION AND MY LEGACY. SICKENING ACCUSATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE AGAINST ME BY INDIVIDUALS LOOKING FOR A QUICK PAYDAY.” He added “LET ME BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR. I DID NOT DO ANY OF THE AWFUL THINGS BEING ALLEGED. I WILL FIGHT FOR MY NAME, MY FAMILY AND FOR THE TRUTH. SEAN DIDDY COMBS.”

On November 18 Diddy reached a settlement with former girlfriend and Bad Boy Entertainment recording artist Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura. As per his lawyer Ben Brafman the settlement “is in no way an admission of wrongdoing.”

Former New York City mayor, Rudy Giuliani, blamed former President Barack Obama for setting race relations in the United States back decades.

Rudy Giuliani leveled a claim against former President Barack Obama on his WABC radio show Sunday (Dec. 10), that he was responsible for the degradation of race relations in America. He began his tirade by stating that the Democratic Party is “the party of slavery.” The Republican politician then said, “These miserable anti-American leaders of the party of slavery have taken us back 40 or 50 years on race relations with Obama. It began with Obama.”

Giuliani would continue: “You think it’s accidental; I know it’s Marxist planned and executed over a long period,” he stated. “Open border is not coincidental. The open border comes right out of Karl Marx. It comes right out of [communist activist] Saul Alinsky, who, by the way, Saul Alinsky and his acolytes taught Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.”

The attacks by the 79-year-old on Obama are nothing new – he’s been a repeat offender in claiming that the 44th POTUS was never born in America, a racist smear that was constantly tossed out during Giuliani’s failed attempts at becoming the GOP’s choice for president and vice-president.He would also bring up the controversial former President Donald Trump in his rant, noting that he has been often called a racist. “Trump gets into a psychological illness I think they have about Trump,” Giuliani said. “Trump derangement syndrome is real – so obsessive.”

The embattled politician is currently dealing with a slew of problems due to his involvement with Trump, notably his having to pay two Black women election workers after being found guilty of defaming them during the 2020 election. That decision of how much is set to be announced soon by a jury. Giuliani is also trying to raise money for his legal defense related to Trump’s RICO case in Fulton County, Georgia.
