Música mexicana superstars Fuerza Regida are hitting the road with a 37-date arena tour called Pero No Te Enamores (meaning But Don’t Fall In Love) across the U.S. and Mexico, which follows their successful Otra Peda tour of last year.

The five-piece band from San Bernardino, Calif., will kick off its summer stint on June 6, starting in Austin, Texas, at the Moody Center. Fuerza Regida will also make stops in Oklahoma City, Okla.; Kansas City, Mo.; San Diego; Phoenix; Portland, Ore., Dallas; Atlanta; Salt Lake City; Anaheim, Calif., and more. They will also hit up Mexico and perform in Monterrey, Mexico City and Oaxaca, and will wrap up in Inglewood, Calif., at the Intuit Dome on Nov. 16.

The tour announcement comes on the heels of the group’s latest EP, Dolido Pero No Arrepentido, which dropped on Feb. 9, followed by the single “Money Edition” with Edén Muñoz. The EP debuted in the top 10 of the Top Latin Albums and Regional Mexican Albums charts; plus, every song on the album premiered on Hot Latin Songs.

Trending on Billboard

In the 2023 year-end charts, Fuerza Regida made Billboard history by becoming the first Latin band to be No. 1 on the Top Artists – Duo/Group list, followed by Grupo Frontera and Fleetwood Mac. (Previous No. 1 artists on the list have included Destiny’s Child, Green Day, The Black Eyed Peas, One Direction, Jonas Brothers and BTS.) The group also won at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards for Top Duo/Group and Top Latin Duo/Group.

“I’m speechless, really. Coming from where we come from, not many people get out [of the hood], whether they get out alive, are dead, or go to jail,” frontman Jesús Ortiz Paz told Billboard Español in December. “I just have to say that I am grateful to God, and to all my family, my mom, my dad, and all my friends. If it wasn’t for everyone’s help, and also the fans, we wouldn’t be here. Fuerza Regida and I are in charge of continuing to give [fans] great music and, God willing, I will continue to give until the last straw.”

The U.S. dates are produced by Live Nation. General on sale tickets will be available beginning on Friday, April 12, at 10 a.m. local time at livenation.com.

Rihanna Offers an Update on ‘R9’ & Teases She Has ‘a Lot of Visual Ideas’

It’s been more than eight years since Rihanna’s last album, Anti, and the Navy is starving for any signs of life when it comes to R9.

RiRi provided a concise update regarding her current relationship with creating music in her Interview mag cover story while chatting with former stylist Mel Ottenberg.

“I have a lot of visual ideas,” she said, which typically isn’t the start of her creative process. “It’s weird. My brain is working backward right now. I usually have the music first, and the music leads me into all of these visual opportunities, and now I’m having all of these visuals.”

Unfortunately, Rihanna admitted she doesn’t have the songs to accompany the visual ideas just yet, but hopefully they eventually come to fruition.

Trending on Billboard

“I don’t have the songs for them yet, but maybe that’s the key, this time,” the “Work” singer teased. “Maybe the visual ideas are leading me to the songs that I need to make.”

She surreptitiously added: “Random ideas, quirky ideas, things that have nothing to do with me at all.”

Back in February, A$AP Rocky teased that the nine-time Grammy winner — with whom he shares two young sons — is “working” on herlong-awaited album, but Rihanna has remained tight-lipped on the matter. “She’s working on it,” he said while out for Paris Fashion Week.

Billboard‘s Heran Mamo penned an essay in March about the sobering idea that Ri’s Navy may need to come to grips with the fact she may never release another album, and that’s perfectly fine after delivering eight in about a decade’s time.

However, Rihanna did make her return to the stage for her first performance in eight years in March for a pre-wedding celebration for Anant Ambani, who is the son of Asia’s richest man, and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, India.

The 36-year-old’s most recent musical output came with a pair of singles in late 2022 for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack. “Lift Me Up” served as a tribute to the late actor Chadwick Boseman, along with “Born Again.” The former earned Rihanna a Grammy nomination for best song written for visual media, and an Oscar nod in the best original song category.

Anti arrived in January 2016. The album reached No. 1 on the Billboad 200 in its first full week of tracking with 166,000 units in the U.S. in the week ending Feb. 4.

Gwen Stefani Reveals the Future of No Doubt After Coachella Reunion

No Doubt is finally reuniting at Coachella this month, and thus far, fans were hoping for more from the Gwen Stefani-fronted band.

However, the singer revealed in a new cover story with Nylon that, while she’s “open to anything,” the group doesn’t currently have any plans to create music after Coachella. “[Coachella is] going to be a really nice bow to tie on the relationship, because we were kids [when we met],” she said. “I already know what it’s going to feel like because we’re just so in sync when we’re onstage. It’s going to feel like riding a bike again. We’re going to be laughing, and we’re going to look at each other and go, ‘Oh my gosh — there you are.’”

She added that the band hasn’t “really hung out or done anything” together ahead of the set, and aren’t in frequent communication. When asked if they’ve gone to therapy together, Stefani said, “No, no, we need to, probably. But we have a lot of water under the bridge.”

Rihanna Says She’ll Have As Many Kids As ‘God Wants Me to Have’

Rihanna is a mother of two, but that number could be increasing in the near future. RiRi hinted at her desire to have more kids in a new cover story with Interview magazine, which arrived on Tuesday (April 9).

“As many as God wants me to have,” the nine-time Grammy winner told her former stylist Mel Ottenberg in their all-encompassing chat regarding having more children down the line. “I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”

When it comes to her post-partum body, Rihanna — who shares sons RZA and Riot Rose with partner A$AP Rocky — wants to get her pre-pregnancy breasts back, and is open to getting a lift procedure.

Trending on Billboard

“I don’t want implants. I just want a lift,” she shared. “I heard that you might have some scars. I’m OK with all that. But I don’t want to ever have a tummy tuck because I don’t want a new navel, and I don’t want that scar, right?”

Ri added that she’s typically nervous to go under the knife. “Third-trimester cellulite is no joke. You just see ripples coming from places you never knew, and it’s all in your thighs, because your thighs are carrying the weight of your baby and uterus,” she said. “I’m also scared of the knife. So if I had to pick one thing, I’m going to pick my boobs. Because I can, like, squat and get an a–, hopefully.”

The Fenty boss revealed some other tidbits when it comes to RZA, who will be turning 2 in May, including his first word, which was “hey.”

“I used to try to get his attention all the time, and I would say, ‘Hey, hey, hey.’ And one day he said it back to me in the same melody, and I kept singing it and he kept following it over and over again,” she said of the learning process. She also touched on her firstborn’s favorite songs that they sing together.

“Oh my gosh. There’s ‘Penguins Salute.’ There’s ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.’ Oh my gosh. RZA gets really emotional about that,” Ri revealed. “Now he’s really into ‘Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.”

“‘The Wheels on the Bus’ is a favorite from the beginning till now. That’s just a classic. It’s never going out of style,” she continued. “And oh, the new ‘Incy-Wincy Spider,’ because he gets like, ‘Ahh,’ like he thinks I’m going to tickle him when I sing that one. And he has a book about that, so he can put two and two together.”

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed RZA as first-time parents in May 2022, and then Riot Rose in August 2023.

Jonathan Majors can breathe a sigh of relief after learning he won’t be facing jail time.

Unsurprisingly, former MCU star Jonathan Majors will not go to jail. A New York judge ordered the 34-year-old Creed III star to complete a yearlong counseling program for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, dance Grace Jabbari.

Majors was facing up to a year behind bars after his assault conviction by a Manhattan jury in December.

If he does violate the terms of his probation, he faces a year in prison.

Per AP News

In court Monday, Judge Michael Gaffey sentenced Majors to conditional discharge after noting that both sides in the case agreed the charges did not warrant jail time, given the actor was a first time offender with no prior criminal record.

He said Majors must complete a 52-week, in-person batterer’s intervention program in Los Angeles, where the actor lives. He also has to continue with the mental health therapy his lawyers say he’s been participating in. Majors faces a year in jail if found in violation of the terms, which also included a no contact order with his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

Jonathan Majors Did Not Say Anything In Court Following His Sentencing

Majors and his new boo, Meagan Good, were on hand for the sentencing, where he declined to address the court and left without speaking to reports AP News reports.

While Majors was quiet, his lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, spoke on his behalf, claiming that her client did not want to say anything that Jabbari could use against him in her civil suit.

Chaudhry says Majors is “committed to growing as a person” and will complete his court-mandated programs “with an open heart.”

He’s lost his whole career,” Chaudhry said in court. “This has been the most challenging year of his life.

Grace Jabbari Accuses Jonathan Majors of Not Being Sorry

Jabbari wasn’t silent; while holding back tears, she accused the Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star of not being sorry and not acknowledging his guilt in the matter.

“He’s not sorry. He has not accepted responsibility,” Jabbari said. “He will do this again, and he will hurt other women, adding that “He believes he is above the law.”

Jabbari said Majors had made her believe the two were in a loving relationship, but, in reality, he isolated her from the rest of the world and cut her off from family and friends.

“I was so emotionally dependent on him,” she said. “I became a different person around him — small, scared and vulnerable.”

Jonathan Majors’ acting career is currently in limbo, so we shall see if Hollywood will welcome him back with open arms following his conviction and sentencing.

Lizzo Shares 3 Hilarious Exercises to ‘Help You Get That Summer Bod’

Lizzo‘s got some tips that’ll leave you feeling good as hell this summer. In a satirical video posted on Instagram Tuesday (April 9), the 35-year-old hitmaker hilariously demonstrates three of her best tips for building a perfect “bod” ahead of next season — no gym membership required.

The “Truth Hurts” singer-rapper starts the video in a colorful swimsuit, taking a stroll on a treadmill. “Here’s three exercises to help you get that summer bod,” she tells the camera after serving up a sassy hair flip.

Step one? “Block your ex,” Lizzo says, smiling as she tosses her cellphone into a swimming pool behind her.

Trending on Billboard

“Remember to hydrate excessively,” she says next, doing a bicep curl with a bottle of white wine.

“And remember,” she adds, introducing her third tip while lounging in the sun. “You can never be too extra.”

“Cus EVERY D–N BODY is a Summer Body in @yitty,” she added in her caption, tagging her own shapewear company.

The post comes less than two weeks after the Grammy winner made headlines for ambiguously declaring “I quit” in a message on Instagram, leading some to assume that she was stepping away from the music industry in light of her recent legal turmoil with a group of her former backup dancers. A few days later, however, Lizzo once again took to social media to clarify her remarks, telling followers in a video: “When I say I quit, I mean, I quit giving any negative energy attention.”

“What I’m not gonna quit is the joy of my life, which is making music, which is connecting with people,” she’d added. “I know I’m not alone. In no way, shape or form am I the only person who is experiencing that negative voice that seems to be louder than the positive … I’m going to keep moving forward, I’m going to keep being me.”

Beyoncé & Taylor Swift Have Competed at the Grammys 9 Times. Here’s Who Won Each Time

Beyoncé and Taylor Swift will probably find themselves going head-to-head in one or more categories when the nominations for the 67th annual Grammy Awards are announced later this year. Beyoncé is a lock to be nominated for album of the year for March’s Cowboy Carter. Swift is also likely to be nominated in that category for The Tortured Poets Department, due April 19.

How can we be so sure? Both superstars have been nominated in the category with their three most recent solo studio albums of new material. Beyoncé was nominated with Beyoncé, Lemonade and Renaissance; Swift with Folklore, Evermore and Midnights.

The big difference, of course, is that Swift has won a record four times in the category, while Beyoncé has yet to emerge victorious. Bey is one of four artists to go 0-4 in album of the year as a lead artist, along with Sting, Lady Gaga, Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar. (Here, we discuss nine milestones Beyoncé could reach at next year’s Grammys.)

Swift and Beyoncé have gone up against each other in album of the year just once, when Swift’s Fearless beat Bey’s I Am…Sasha Fierce in 2010. But they have competed in other categories eight other times. Beyoncé has prevailed twice, so she’s actually ahead in their head-to-head match-ups. Neither artist won the six other times they directly competed.

Here are the nine times these powerhouse women have competed head-to-head at the Grammys over the years, with a reminder of who won. The years shown are the years of the Grammy ceremonies.

For one night, our community of educators, corporate sponsors, industry partners and everyone who believes in the power of music will come together for an amazing celebration of music. Five-time Grammy Award nominee and Emmy- and Tony-nominated actor Groban tells Billboard, “I deeply admire Music Will’s commitment to enacting meaningful, systemic change in music education by meeting kids where they are and prioritizing equity and tangible access in schools. Having had the privilege of working with Music Will and witnessing their dedication to enriching students’ lives firsthand only reinforces my admiration for their impactful work.”

She, Day and Groban join a circle of prior Music Will honorees that includes Babyface, Bonnie Raitt, Elvis Costello, Joan Jett, Steven Van Zandt, Usher and Wiz Khalifa. Music Will was founded by Dave Wish in 2002.
