Travis Scott Pinched In Paris For Fighting With His Bodyguard

Just weeks after Travis Scott found himself in a pickle over disorderly intoxication on a yacht, the Hip-Hop superstar is once again in hot water as he was arrested in Paris for fighting with his own bodyguard.

People is reporting that the “Highest In The Room” rapper was taken into custody by the “oui oui” police at a five-star hotel in the capital of France after he got into it with his bodyguard in the wee hours of Friday (Aug. 9). Scott was in town to see Team U.S.A. participate in the 2024 Olympics. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen if he’ll be able to see them compete for the gold in tomorrow’s game (Aug. 10) as authorities were waiting for him to sober up before questioning him about the incident.

Per People:

“I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, shortly after 5 a.m., the police were called to the Georges V Hotel and arrested the man nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard,” the Paris prosecutor’s officer said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.

“The latter had himself intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The 1st judicial police district was seized of the investigation by the Paris prosecutor’s office,” the statement added.

On Thursday, Aug. 8, Scott, real name Jacques Bermon Webster II, was photographed attending Team USA’s basketball semifinal win against Serbia at the Bercy Arena at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Damn, Travis Scott’s really been wilding out as of late. The man might have to take a break from his recreational activities if he continues to fly off the handle whenever he feels a little saucy. This kind of behavior isn’t beneficial to him whatsoever.

Aside from the incident on the yacht, Travis Scott also got into some fisticuffs with Cher’s boyfriend, Alexander “A.E.” Edwards at a Cannes afterparty back in May for reasons still unknown.

Seems like Travis Scott has been dealing with some anger issues as of late.

As for this most recent incident, Scott’s team did not reply to requests for comment for People.

André 3000 Says Drake-Kendrick Lamar Feud Made Him ‘Sad,’ Questions If Battling Is ‘Even Worth It’

André 3000 has weighed in on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud. Three Stacks shared he was disheartened when looking back at the aftermath of the battle’s carnage.

“I got a little sad, at a certain point,” he told Crack Magazine in a new interview. “In early rap battles, you had kids in the park rapping against each other. But it’s not just people rapping now. You got people with 100 employees. You have livelihoods, empires, companies, deals — all of it can be jeopardized.”

With rappers serving as brands — and in Drake and Kendrick’s case, worth hundreds of millions of dollars — the Outkast legend questions whether the juice is worth the squeeze with that much at stake in battle. “If you don’t have anything to lose, sure, go for it,” he said. “But if I already made it, I’m not sure it’s even worth it any more”

Drake expressed a similar sentiment on “4PM in Calabasas,” which arrived in 2016 and saw Drizzy sniping at Joe Budden, Diddy and more. “I got a lot to lose ’cause in every situation I’m the bigger artist/ Always gotta play it smarter,” he shrewdly raps about being militant in battle.

Elsewhere in the Crack profile, André 3000 gave his reaction to receiving a shout-out from Kendrick Lamar on the explosive “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin. “If he walk around with that stick, it ain’t André 3K,” K. Dot rhymes.

“As a 49-year-old rapper, you’re just happy to get a shout-out,” the Atlanta artist responded. “But as a rapper, I’ve noticed myself walking around with this stick. So it was a line for me, too, and I was trying to find a way to use it. But Kendrick used it, so I had to say ‘Yeah, he got it.’”

A trio of records Lamar was involved with that were integral parts of the battle with Drake are still holding strong on the Billboard Hot 100. K. Dot’s “Not Like Us” sits at No. 3, while “Like That” is in the top 20 at No. 18. Even the unnerving “Euphoria” is still on the chart at No. 78.

As for Three Stacks, he’ll be performing nine sets across three days at the Blue Note Jazz Festival’s Black Radio Experience 2024, which is going down in the Estate Wine Cave at The Meritage Resort & Spa in Napa, Calif., happening Aug. 30-Sept. 1.

Yung Miami is finally breaking her silence on Diddy; many believe she could have kept her comments to herself.

Caresha Brownlee, aka Yung Miami, aka Sean Comb’s former love interest he affectionately called “shawty wop,” is finally “speaking” about the allegations about the embattled Bad Boy music mogul.

The 30-year-old rapper and former City Girl member used the season two premiere of her Diddy-less REVOLT TV podcast, Caresha Please, on Thursday, August 8, to tell her side of the story.

It’s been a rough year for the embattled mogul, who has faced multiple sexual assault allegations and lawsuits from multiple women and a male producer, including his ex Cassie, who opened the floodgates with the bombshell accusations that got the ball rolling on Diddy’s empire crumbling.

Yung Miami Opens Up, & Says Nothing

Yung Miami, who was romantically linked with the man who also calls himself Love, was deafeningly silent as Diddy’s high-profile life fell apart.

In a very safe space, on her podcast, and fielding questions from her bestie, Saucy Santana, about the situation, she said, “I can’t speak on something that wasn’t my experience, I can’t speak on something I don’t know.”

She continued, “I can’t speak on these allegations because I wasn’t around at the time. I don’t know that person, and that wasn’t my experience.”

So basically, she said, all that sh*t happened before I came into the picture.

Yung Miami also spoke about being “crucified” immediately after the allegations about the Diddler surfaced.

“People feel like I was Diddy’s biggest cheerleader, and I made him my brand. And I feel like Diddy was on brand for me,” she said. “I met him when he was in another era. I met Diddy when the world was celebrating him and giving him his flowers when he was alive.”

While Yung Miami shed tears while talking about her experience, social media isn’t feeling what she had to say. Many believe she could have kept her mouth shut about the situation.

“She is being extremely manipulative, and she’s not keeping it real. Girl you started fucking with him because you wanted to use him girl. Simple, and when the going got tough you jumped ship because he wasn’t a benefit anymore. She an opportunist and that’s okay. Just don’t lie,” one person on X, formerly Twitter, wrote.

Another user on X wrote, “You made diddy your brand . there hasn’t been any growth no accountability and self reflection how have you elevated as an artist , why should we care about Yung Miami the artist. when given constructive criticism you call people hating . ain’t no coming back from this.”

Harris Campaign Denies Reaching Out To Kai Cenat, X Says That’s Obvious

Somebody is lying. After Kai Cenat claimed that “someone” in the Secret Service reached out to him about interviewing VP Kamala Harris, but her campaign says that no such thing happened.

It all started when Cenat recently went live and asserted that someone representing the Secret Service called him five times about linking with VP Kamala Harris for a stream interview. He stated that he wasn’t with it because he’s just not that into politics (“I don’t give a f*ck,” he said).

Cenat added, “If someway, somehow, something was to go into where I do a stream of politics, I’m going to be 100 percent honest,” he said in the video. I’m going to sit on my stream and say ‘Why did you guys call me?”

Duly noted.

Considering his millions of followers across multiple platforms like Twitch, YouTube and IG, the Harris campaign trying to secure his co-sign wasn’t too far-fetched. Also, Kick host Adin Ross recently interviewed Donald Trump and got millions of views, with probably more criticism considering it was Cheeto and he erroneously blamed Biden for banning abortion.

However, Cenat’s claim that it was someone from the Secret Service who communicated with him immediately got the side since PR is not in their job description. The Harris campaign then came out and said, Nah. TMZ reports the Harris campaign leadership hasn’t even discussed anything about Cenat interviewing the VP of the United States.

But reportedly, Cenat’s team has been in talks with a third-party with alleged ties to the DNC’s convention team, which goes down in Chicago in late August. But what that actually means as far as Cenat’s participation is unknown. But the kicker here is that those supposed discussions started while Biden was still running.

Noah Lyles Snags Bronze In Olympics 200m, Tested Positive For COVID-19 Before Race

Noah Lyles has emerged as one of the standout athletes among Team USA’s men’s track and field team, often for reasons that some observers find unsavory. The legend of Noah Lyles will continue to grow after he managed to snag a bronze medal in the men’s 200-meter event while testing positive for COVID-19 before the race

Noah Lyles, 27, finished third overall in the Thursday 200-meter final and as the race concluded, the controversial athlete shared with a throng of reporters that he took on the race while suffering from COVID-19.

“I tested positive around 5 AM Tuesday morning,” Lyles said at a postrace media event while donning a mask. “I woke up in the middle of the night just feeling really chills, aching, sore throat. And those were kind of a lot of the symptoms I’ve always had right before getting COVID, and I was just like, ‘I need to test this one.’”

Lyles said he quarantined away from Olympic Village at a nearby Paris hotel and took whatever allowable medications he could.

“I still wanted to run; they said it was still possible,” Lyles shared. “So we just stayed away from everybody and just tried to take it round by round. And to be honest, I knew if I wanted to come out here and win, I had to give everything I had from the get-go. I didn’t have any time to save energy.”

Lyles added, “One, we didn’t want everybody to go into a panic; we wanted them to be able to compete,” Lyles said. “And then two, we wanted to be able to make it as discreet as possible. And you never want to tell your competitors you’re sick. Why would you give them an edge over you?”

At the event, Lyles wasn’t certain if he would show up to be a part of the 4X100-meter relay event but it appears that he’s shutting down his Summer Olympics appearances after a reply shared on the X platform pointed to that fact.

“First I want to thank God for getting me through this entire Olympics! Second I want to congratulate @LetsileTebogo3 @kenny_bednarek and everyone else on an amazing Olympic 200m final. Finally I want to thank everyone for the supportive messages. I believe this will be the end of my 2024 Olympics. It is not the Olympics I dreamed of but it has left me with so much Joy in my heart. I hope everyone enjoyed the show. Whether you were rooting for me or against me, you have to admit you watched, didn’t you? See you next time Sincerely, Your world’s fastest man for the next 4 years!” Lyles wrote on X.

Letsile Tebogo of Botswana went on to capture his country’s first gold medal ever in the Olympics, while American runner Kenny Bednarek earned his second silver medal of the Summer Games. In a postrace presser, Tebogo mentioned Lyles after he was asked if he was positioning himself to become a star in the track and field world.

“I can’t be the face of athletics because I’m not an arrogant or a loud person like Noah [Lyles],” with Bednarek looking on.

Green Day Releasing Huge ‘American Idiot’ 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition With Unreleased Demos, Rare B-Sides, Bonus Songs

Green Day will cap off the summer-long celebration of their Grammy-winning 2004 opus American Idiot by releasing a massive box set edition of the album this fall. The American Idiot 20th Anniversary deluxe edition is due out on Oct. 25 and will feature unreleased demos, rare b-sides, bonus songs and previously unreleased live tracks.

The limited edition super deluxe version will be available in 8-LP vinyl and 4-CD configurations, with each coming with two Blu-Ray discs, one of which features the 2015 Heart Like a Hand Grenade documentary about the recording of the album, along with a BBC: Top of the Pops “mini gig” and their Later With Jools Holland appearance. The second disc will contain the new 110-minute documentary 20 Years of American Idiot.

The collection will also be released in an 2-LP limited-edition colored vinyl edition, as well as an audiophile “one-step” version.

You can listen to the first three tracks — an unreleased demo of “Holiday/Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” the fan-favorite b-side “Favorite Son” and a live version of “Minority” — on streaming services now (see below). Both the limited-edition sets will feature the original 23-track concept album, as well as 15 previously unreleased American Idiot demos, a 15-track 2004 concert recorded at Irving Plaza in New York and nine previously unreleased live recordings from the era, including a take on Queen’s “We Are the Champions,” as well as 14 songs previously available only as b-sides and bonus tracks.

The set commemorates the album that became the groups first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 on its way to rocking the chart for more than 100 weeks. It will also feature new liner notes from producer Rob Cavallo and Rolling Stone writer David Fricke and a 48-page book, enamel pin set, sticker sheet and cloth patch; the vinyl version has a 36-page book, a large Green Day flag and the signature American Idiot red tie.

To date, the album featuring such landmark songs as “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “Holiday,” “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and “Jesus of Suburbia” has sold more than 23 million copies, spawned a Broadway musical of the same name and earned spots on many “best of” lists.

Green Day are performing the album in its entirety — along with their breakthrough major label disc Dookie — on their Saviors world tour, which plays Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Friday night (August 9).

Nikki Glaser Spoofs a Taylor Swift Song While Stuck in an Airport On Her Way to Canceled Vienna Shows

Nikki Glaser and her sister didn’t get to see Taylor Swift perform “Cruel Summer” at the pop star’s canceled Eras Tour shows in Vienna, so they had to improvise.

While stranded in an airport en route to Austria — where the pop star’s three previously scheduled shows were canceled after authorities discovered a terrorist plot targeting Ernst Happel Stadium — the comedian and her sister, Lauren Glaser, showed off their own spoof version of “Cruel Summer” while waiting for a delayed plane to Europe in a TikTok posted Wednesday (Aug. 7).

“We’re stuck at an airport gate/ On our way to Vienna on a flight that was late/ Planning outfits and singing songs/ We had no idea how things could go wrong,” they sang to the tune of Swift’s Billboard Hot 100-topping hit, taking turns with each line. “Then we get a text from our mom/ That the shows have been canceled ’cause a threat from a bomb/ And we screamed in a Hudson News / What the hell do I do with these sparkly shoes/ I dyed my hair pink for nothing, we’re f–ked!”

The comedian has previously shared that she’s a super Swiftie, revealing in an October 2023 visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show that she had spent $25,000 on tickets to the Eras Tour that year. “I just want to say that it was a conscious decision because I went to nine Eras Tour shows this year,” she told Clarkson at the time. “Like, when I’m not on tour, I go to her tour. It just fills my life up with so much joy.”

The Glaser sisters did eventually make it to Vienna, where a crowd of Swifties gathered in the streets Thursday (Aug. 8) to trade friendship bracelets and sing the 14-time Grammy winner’s songs together in place of attending the shows. At one point, Nikki joined in on the fan-led event, sharing a video on her Instagram Story of the crowd belting out “All Too Well” in unison.

“Sang All Too Well with thousands of displaced Swifties in Vienna,” she wrote, adding in another post that the other people in her group left to go shopping while she stayed behind to sing “about 7 more songs alone.”

The gathering occurred on the same day Swift had been scheduled to take the stage for the first of three back-to-back Eras shows at Ernst Happel. The performances were canceled one day prior when authorities took two teenage Austrian citizens into custody for allegedly planning to “kill as many people as possible outside the concert venue” with knives or homemade explosives. One 19-year-old suspect had previously pledged allegiance to the Islamic State after being radicalized online, according to officials.

The next day, a third suspect — an 18-year-old man — was detained in connection to the terrorist plot. Swift and her team have not yet issued a statement on the situation.

Biggie Returns To Marvel Universe In ‘Deadpool & Wolverine: WWIII’ Variant Cover

A few years ago, Marvel surprised comic book fans and Hip-Hop heads alike when they dropped a variant cover for Deadpool No.1, which featured the legendary Notorious B.I.G. Now, they’ll once again be calling on Big Poppa to grace another variant cover for the Merc with a Mouth.

For the upcoming issue to Deadpool & Wolverine: WWIII No. 3, the Black Frank White will once again be visiting the Marvel universe as Deadpool and Wolverine go toe-to-toe. Drawn up by Salvador Larroca, the special variant cover to the issue is available on Hustl.agency and is limited to just 3,000 copies, with an extra special spotlight virgin variant limited to just 1,000 pieces.

In a press release for the special edition comic, we get a quick explanation behind Biggie’s second appearance in the world of Marvel comic books:

The Notorious B.I.G. returns to Marvel Comics as the undisputed mayoral figure of Brooklyn. On his streets, he plays the diplomatic peacemaker, living out his iconic lyrics, “Spread Love, It’s the Brooklyn Way.” In Biggie’s second variant cover appearance, he comes back to break up the animosity between Deadpool and Wolverine on the very streets he helped build. Although Biggie is not in the story or series, the special variant cover is a limited-edition collectible issue. 

If anyone can tame the likes of Wolverine while matching the wits of Deadpool, it’s Biggie.
