Here’s How Lady Gaga Hinted at a Rumored Bruno Mars Collab in New Teaser Video

In the words of Lady Gaga herself: “That’s gossip, what you on/ Money don’t talk, rip that song.”

On Tuesday (Aug. 13), Gaga shared a video to her social media teasing new music. Sitting at a white Roland piano, Gaga plucked out a few chords before smiling into the camera and stopping the recording. While that may not seem like much to go on, fans noticed that Gaga specifically showed the camera the t-shirt she was wearing, which had Bruno Mars‘ face on it.

The singer’s new post comes just after rumors surfaced online that a potential collaboration between Gaga and Mars was coming soon. According to a post from Hits Daily Double‘s “Rumor Mill,” the song is allegedly titled “Die With a Smile” and is potentially set to be released “sometime this month.”

When Gaga commented with a series of emojis on Mars’ Instagram post from his tour stops in Mexico City on Monday, fans immediately began replying with speculation about the rumored collab. “SO IS IT REAL???” one eager fan wrote in reply to her comment, while another simply demanded, “DROP THE SONG.”

It wouldn’t be the first time Gaga has teased new music in recent weeks — following her headline-making performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Gaga took to the streets to play fans new songs from her forthcoming seventh studio album. Appearing from a limousine’s sunroof outside her hotel in Paris, Gaga opened her laptop and played two short snippets from the fan-dubbed “LG7” for a crowd of eager listeners.

Billboard has reached out to Gaga’s representatives for comment. Check out her video below.

Marko Mocks ‘Bad Boy’ Reggaeton Stars in Hilarious Skit: Watch

True to form, Marko (also known as Marko Música) has gone viral on social media—this time, poking fun at reggaetón artists who act like bad boys on their songs when, in reality, they are good-hearted people.

In a nearly two-minute skit titled “The rapper who’s pure malignant in his album but in real life he’s a great guy,” the Venezuelan comedian and influencer is seen mimicking an urban artist recording music in a studio.

Marko—in full character—is aggressive in his rap bars, delivering a full-out tiraera where he chants about owning weapons, hurting people, burning houses, stealing girlfriends and being an atheist because he’s the one and only “el maldito del flow” (the one with damn swag).

Then, in a funny but very relatable twist, Marko is seen taking off his headphones, toning down his voice, and praying for everyone he attacked in the tiraera and bringing out a priest to bless his album. He’s also seen acting as a full-out mama’s boy, a loving father and dog lover.

Trending on Billboard

Fans did not hesitate to leave their opinion in the comment section, saying that the video reminded them of real-life reggaetón giants such as Daddy Yankee, Wisin, Kendo Kaponi and Farruko, to name a few.

The comedian first shared the video back in September 2023 on his official TikTok account @Marko, but resocialized it on his second account @LiberenAMarko on Monday (Aug. 12), where it has garnered over 215K views in less than 24 hours.

Marko, real name Marco Pérez, is confirmed for the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Week, returning to Miami Beach from Oct. 14 – 18 at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater.

Other artists announced include Bad Gyal, DANNA, Danny Ocean, Domelipa, Fat Joe, Gloria Estefan, JOP (of Fuerza Regida), Keityn, Lele Pons, Luis Alfonso, Maria Becerra, Mau y Ricky, Mon Laferte, N.O.R.E., Paola Jara, Peso Pluma, Pipe Bueno, Sophia Talamas, Yeison Jiménez and Yeri Mua, with more to be announced in the coming months.

The 35th anniversary event, which celebrates Latin music, culture and entertainment, will feature exclusive panels, conversations and performances by Latin music’s biggest stars. Tickets are available now at BillboardLatinMusicWeek.com.

The “Wanna Be” collaborators have been tapped as the next guests on Instagram’s Close Friends Only podcast, and IG shared a clip of Meg and Glo from the episode on Tuesday (Aug. 13).

While they’ve enjoyed each other’s company in recent months, Megan and GloRilla still aren’t in each other’s Close Friends on Instagram. “I’m gonna add you to my Close Friends,” Meg said before Glo promised to return the favor.

“Cause, b—h, why I’m not in your close friends,” Meg asked while raising her voice. “B—h, I’m not in yours,” Glo struck back.

“That’s so crazy,” Megan continued. “I let you watch me do crazy s–t all day. And I can’t know what you posting to Close Friends?”

While their chemistry is apparent these days, that wasn’t always the case. GloRilla recalled in an interview with VIBEthat she was “shy” when first meeting Meg and eventually got more comfortable.

“I was actually shy the first time I went around her,” she admitted. “The second time, it just got more [comfortable]. We got some shots and stuff, it just felt natural. She’s just so fun. That’s what Megan is, she’s super fun to hang with. I genuinely like being around her and watching her perform and everything. I just like Megan.”

The Hot Girl Summer Tour saw heartfelt moments on stage with Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla exchanging gifts. Meg surprised Glo with flowers for her birthday while Big Glo returned the favor in Houston when presenting Thee Stallion with a custom “M” plaque.

“I love the bond that me and @glorillapimp have built in these past few weeks!” Megan Thee Stallion captioned a June Instagram post. “You are my sister 4L , you and cola never getting rid of me.”

Glo replied in the comment section: “I luv you 4L Meg [heart emoji, teary-eyed emoji] I’m so glad I got to do dis tour with you I wouldn’t have had it no other way [party emoji] I can’t wait for dem to hear dat hot shit ahhhh so excited.”

Megan and GloRilla’s “Wanna Be” collaboration is holding firm on the Billboard Hot 100, where it sits at No. 13 on this week’s chart.

Tetris Kelly:

We already knew LISA was a dancer and a rapper, but now you can add actor to the list. She’s set to appear in season 3 of HBO’s ‘The White Lotus’ when it premieres next year. She told ELLE she was happy for a second when she learned she nabbed the role, but then thought, “Wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?” LISA said she feels like it’s similar to shooting a music video, so she’s all good. We know she knows her way around a music video set. She even told the mag she learned the “Rockstar” choreo right before hair and makeup for the video. Speaking of music videos, LISA gave us another little teaser for her new song with Rosalía. The video is directed by Dave Meyers. You may know some of the other music videos he’s directed for Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter. And Rosalía isn’t the only superstar LISA admires. Also in her ELLE interview, she praises Taylor Swift for her ability to perform by herself for three and a half hours a night. But when asked who she’s listening to now, LISA said she’s got Ariana Grande’s “the boy is mine” on repeat. Can LISA and Ari collab next please?

NCT 127 Opens Up About the Challenge of Making New Album ‘WALK’ While Short on Bandmates

The members of NCT 127 aren’t letting a few challenges walk all over them. In spite of being unable to perform as a full unit over the past year, the K-pop band was able to push through and deliver its sixth studio album, WALK, last month — something seven of the guys opened up about in a new on-camera interview with Billboard.

Sitting down with Tetris Kelly, 25-year-old MARK revealed that the process of making the 11-track LP — which debuted at No. 117 on the Billboard 200 — was different “from the start.” “We were in a different mindset, for obvious reasons,” he explained. “We’re not all together with nine members. From that point on, picking out the songs for the entire tracklist, we were very prudent with each and every decision.”

“We didn’t want to weaken our performance,” he added. “So we were very serious with each and every step of the album.”

The interview comes almost exactly a year after 30-year-old TAEIL sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident that required him to have surgery and take a hiatus in order to focus on his rehabilitation. In October, SM Entertainment released an update saying that the performer still needed “sufficient treatment and stability” after the procedure, confirming he would not be able to participate in NCT 127’s Neo City – The Unity Tour that kicked off in November.

In April, 29-year-old TAEYONG enlisted in the South Korean navy to fulfill his mandatory service.

While speaking with Billboard, the guys also revealed their favorite songs on their new album, as well as their current favorite music at the moment. YUTA revealed he’s in a Linkin Park phase and MARK praised “I Had Some Help” by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen, while HAECHAN shouted out his bandmate’s solo work: “I listen to this new solo artist who just debuted named DOYOUNG,” he said as his friend blushed.

“We still have a lot of plans for you guys, so stay tuned,” MARK teased at the end.

SB19’s A’TIN Vs Taylor Swift’s Swifties: Who Will Win 2024 Fan Army Face-Off? | Billboard News

Billboard’s Fan Army Face-Off has officially entered the semifinals, and the remaining four are heating up to take the win. Can Swifties beat A’TIN? Can the Navy win against Hozier’s fans?

Vote here now.

Tetris Kelly:

We’re officially down to our final four in Billboard’s Fan Army Face-Off. You’ve made your voice heard and we’ve got two matchups before the grand finale. Our first pairing is Taylor Swift and SB19. Taylor’s in the midst of wrapping up her world tour, which has seen record-breaking turnout, and she just claimed her 14th week atop the Billboard 200. And SB19 is fresh off a new release, after dominating the previous rounds. But can A’TIN take out Swifties and defend their title from last year? Our other match-up is quite the surprise. Hozier’s fans helped him narrowly beat out the Beyhive, but now he’s up against Rihanna’s Navy. Hozier may have the more recent Hot 100 No. 1 — his first on the chart — but Rihanna has 14 of ‘em, the last one claiming the top spot eight years ago. Who are you voting for? Head over to Billboard.com to see who’s in the lead and to cast your vote.

Footage captured from the event shows Ye manning the ones and twos as his and Big Smoke’s vocals can be heard blaring through the speakers. “What n—a you mad ’bout? He a pimp, he’ll tell ’em ‘fore you assed out/I hear that they take all the cash out, I’m cashed out/Guess you could say my spirit animal’s a cash cow,” Ye could be heard rapping what sounds like the chorus.

Trending on Billboard

In another video that cuts off before his verse ends, the British MC raps, “How we livin’?/I’m never quittin’/Feel like whippin’/Rollie ain’t tickin’/818 sippin’/Sauce spillin’.”

Last week, Ye and Ty Dolla released a Vultures 2 deluxe edition with three new songs featuring Peso Pluma, Kid Cudi and Kodak Black, which helped them debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

There’s no word if “Cash Cow” will be included as another Vultures 2 bonus or if it will make an appearance on the last installment of the trilogy, Vultures 3.

While linked through music, fashion and Virgil Abloh for years, Skepta and Ye have never officially released a song together. Their most notable collab was when Skepta and his friends — dressed in all black — mobbed on stage as Ye, Allan Kingdom and Theophilus London performed “All Day” during the 2015 Brit Awards. That epic performance also featured the viral meme of Taylor Swift dancing.

In the fun corresponding music video, the band plays around and takes part in carnival games while on a funhouse set, all while dress in clown costumes. Weird Al then makes an appearance for his part on the track, playing his accordion.

“‘Yo Me Estreso’ is a song about always being stressed, always being anxious, and thinking that people are mad at you when they really aren’t,” explained band member Bela Salazar in a press statement, per Consequence of Sound. “It was inspired by listening to a lot of corridos, tumbados, banda, and Duranguense, and doing that in our own punk style.”

Weird Al is fresh off the release of his newest song, “Polkamania!” The polka medley features a mash-up of pop hits performed by Yankovic. The song choices range from Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire” to the Encanto smash “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and, hilariously, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP.”

The star hasn’t released an album since 2014’s Mandatory Fun, which made history as the first comedy album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2022, the fictionalized biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story was released, and Yankovic co-wrote and co-produced the film.
