Pope Francis passed away on Monday, April 21, and musicians such as J Balvin and Andrea Bocelli have taken to social media to pay tribute to the pope.

The Latin singer took to Instagram to pay his respects with a carousel of pictures highlighting the pope’s unique energy: “Always vibing high, tolerance and love.” Andrea Bocelli also took to IG, saying, “…what we feel for him is a gratitude of the deepest and most enduring kind.”
Pope Francis met with many musicians, like Bono, who spoke with him on climate change and social issues. Even Katy Perry was a fan, who in 2018 said: “I’m such a big fan of Pope Francis. It’s a combination of compassion, humility, sternness and refusal. He is a rebel — a rebel for Jesus.”
