Post Malone is headed to New Orleans. As announced Wednesday (Jan. 29), the superstar is set to perform at the official Super Bowl Tailgate hosted this year by YouTube, taking the stage in Louisiana just before the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles Feb. 9.

Set to take place at 4 p.m. ET just “steps away” from the Caesars Superdome — where kickoff will commence at 6:30 p.m. on game day — the “Better Now” musician’s pregame performance will be exclusively livestreamed by YouTube. It’ll kick off a day full of live music taking place during and around the game, including Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated Halftime Show performance with guest star SZA and Jon Batiste’s performance of the national anthem.

This year is the first that YouTube is taking over as sponsor of the show, but the tailgate concert tradition dates back to the pandemic, when Miley Cyrus delivered the inaugural performance virtually. Since then, The Chainsmokers, The Black Keys, Jason Derulo and Gwen Stefani have all headlined.

Posty should be all warmed up for a big game-day performance, having just joined Beyoncé on the field for halftime at the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game on Christmas Day. The “Circles” rapper made a cameo during the vocalist’s big showcase to help her sing their Cowboy Carter collaboration “Levii’s Jeans,” after which Malone wrote on X, “thank you @Beyonce so much for havin me out in Houston, and on your beautiful record. also, thank you for sharin your talent and art with the world. I love you.”

LIX also won’t be the first Super Bowl the “Congratulations” musician has taken part in. In 2024, he performed “America the Beautiful” on the field before the Chiefs faced off against the San Francisco 49ers, winning 25-22.
