In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we sat down with some of Latin music’s biggest stars and found out what Latin Heritage Month means to them. Keep watching to see what they had to say!

Luis R Conriquez:

We represent Mexico, these are national holidays. I am Mexican and I like to represent Mexico here in the United States, in Mexico and wherever I am.

Venesti:

It’s a very important month for all Hispanic people and super important for me. It’s a way to acknowledge our culture and it’s a time where we can socialize with other cultures.

Arcángel:

It’s a big deal for me because my parents made a big sacrifice so that I could be born in a country like this one.

Octavio Cuadras:

Look, for me this month is full of pride, of roots, mainly of the warmth of the Mexican people. It is the best thing about being together, sharing a plate of food. You know? That’s Mexico.

De la Ghetto:

What it really means to me is just to motivate other generations, to keep on believing in yourself and believing in your culture. It doesn’t matter where you’re from. We all speak the same language. We are all Latinos, there is strength in unity.

Lupita Infante:

It’s a special time of the year where I really feel the presence of my people. I mean, I’m singing mariachi music and singing Mexican music all year round, but when it comes to Hispanic Heritage Month, I really feel like there is an amazing like space for all of us that opens up. And we really get to be celebrated.

Codiciado:

This month is something that I believe all Latinos should think of with pride, because it represents us throughout history, it also serves as a chance to celebrate the fact that we can all be united.

Keep watching for more!
