Kacey Musgraves isn’t embracing a slow burn this year. Instead, on top of announcing a new album and dropping her single “Deeper Well,” she’s also teamed up with Boy Smells to expand her growing candle collaboration.

The latest scented candle to join the “Rainbow” singer’s Boy Smells collection is titled after her upcoming album and aims to evoke scents that embody Deeper Well. The Musgraves x Boy Smells candle is available to purchase through BoySmells.com or KaceyMusgraves.com, and will be offered through Sephora, Nordstrom and SpaceNK starting in April.

Deeper Well Candle
The Musgraves x Boy Smells candle lets you surround yourself with the official scent of the song, which includes top notes of saffron, eucalyptus and raspberry. The candle uses a mix of coconut and beeswax topped with a cotton wick that has a max of 50 hours of burn time. The exterior features a semi-sheer tumbler with an ombré hue that’s perfect for putting on display. If you prefer to own both her candles, BoySmells is currently offering a bundle for $99.
“It’s airy but grounded,” the “Golden Hour” singer describes in the official description for the candle. “Sky and dirt. Foreign but home. The divine feminine. The peaceful masculine. Musgraves’ previous Boy Smells collaboration took place in 2020 when the two came together to create a candle that evoked aromas based on her song “Slow Burn.” It quickly expanded into a fragrance collection, earned a bestselling label and was titled the Candle of the Year by the Fragrance Foundation.

You can add Musgrave’s first candle, Slow Burn, to your scent collection and enjoy the spicy and smoky top notes of elemi, black pepper and ginger. It comes with up to 50 hours of burn time inside of a pink tumbler you’ll want to show off to all you guests.
As for her new album, Musgraves calls it “An honest excavation of my own transformation the last few years.” In an official press release for the Boy Smells candle collaboration, she added that “I’m emerging more centered, grounded, and trusting of myself than ever — and I knew that I wanted to create a multi-sensorial experience that cultivates self discovery and our connection to the natural world. Working with Boy Smells is always a joy — and I truly adore the care, sensitivity, and thought that Matthew [Herman] brings to the process.”
