State Champ Radio New Study Ranks Los Angeles & Portland Among The Top 20 Cities With The Best Food

One discussion that never gets old is which city has the best food. In a new study, the top 20 areas that made a list of cities with the best food may surprise you.
According to Wallethub, the boot (Louisiana) nor MS made the top 20 with the best food–like many suggest in online conversation.

The number one spot is Portland, OR; number 5 is Austin, TX, and Las Vegas is number 9. Portland, ME is number 17, New York is number 18, Charleston, SC is number 19, and Oakland, CA is ranked number 20.
If you don’t think Louisiana/Mississippi has the best food you’re clearly eating at the wrong places. We can take you to some corner stores, gas stations and hole in the walls to get you one of the best meals you’ve ever had.

Even Los Angeles made the list, ranking at number 15.
According to a press release, “more than 180 of the largest U.S. cities across 29 key metrics. The data set ranges from affordability and accessibility of high-quality restaurants to food festivals per capita to craft breweries and wineries per capita.”
New Orleans ranks 147 and Gulfport, MS lands 172nd on the list.
In addition, Orlando, FL has the most restaurants per square root of population, and has the most ice cream and frozen yogurt shops.
