Viña del Mar

Argentinian trap star Duki lit up the 2025 Viña del Mar International Song Festival on Friday (Feb. 28), making his debut at the Quinta Vergara as the headliner of the urban music night that would also feature Puerto Rican hitmaker Eladio Carrión and Chilean artist Kidd Voodoo.
Showcasing his impressive flow, Duki kicked off his set with the pulsating “GIVENCHY,” dressed in jeans, black jacket and T-shirt and silver chains. The face-tattooed singer looked like a rock star accompanied by drums, bass and guitar, while the audience chanted along with him at the top of their lungs. Behind him, fire images were blazing on the huge screens.
“Thank you so much, everyone! How are we doing tonight, Viña? Thanks for the love,” he said amid the screams of the audience after performing hits including “Si Te Sentís Sola,” “Pininfarina,” “Además De Mí” and “Sin Frenos,” his 2021 track with Bizarrap and Carrión. “A slightly more intimate, more sung moment is coming up. I hope you like it,” he announced shortly after, performing “Buscarte Lejos,” but soon he had everyone on their feet jumping to “Harakiri.”
With the energy high in the venue, Viña hosts Karen Doggenweiler and Rafael Araneda presented him with the Gaviota de Plata (Silver Seagull). “This is the first award I’ve received in my entire career,” said Duki, dedicating it to his followers and his parents, and also thanking urban acts from Chile who helped opened the doors for him in the country.
But the show didn’t end there. The Argentine star continued with “Duki: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 50,” which he started a cappella with an impressive flow before the music kicked in. Then came the reggaeton “Te Traje Flores,” as well as the No. 1 hit on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 “Los del Espacio,” originally performed with LIT Killah, Tiago PZK, Emilia, Rusherking, Big One and FMK.
Among others, he sang the rockier “No Me Llores” and his 2019 trap hit “Goteo,” a powerful track that alludes to the image of “dripping” in wealth and style, symbolized by luxury brands like Gucci, Nike, Philippe Patek, Rolex, and Cartier.
In the end, Duki didn’t take home just the first award of his career — he also received the Gaviota de Oro (Gold Seagull), the highest recognition awarded by the Viña del Mar audience. Visibly moved, Duki wiped away tears, kissed his trophy, and with great humility thanked his fans and his parents again, who proudly watched their son triumph from the front row. “Thank you for making my dream come true,” he said.
To close, the 28-year-old rapper once again had the “monster” chanting along with “Malbec,” “She Don’t Give a Fo” and “Nueva Era,” before disappearing from the stage.
Viña del Mar 2025 kicked off Sunday with a riveting set by Marc Anthony and since, artists like Myriam Hernández, Ha*Ash, Carlos Vives, Carín León and Incubus have performed at the Quinta Vergara. Viña will continue Saturday (March 1), as the festival concludes with the Colombian group Morat followed by Sebastián Yatra. Both were originally scheduled for Tuesday (February 25), when the show was canceled due to a massive blackout in Chile.
Ahead of Carín León’s debut performance at Viña del Mar, the Regional Mexican singer shared his thoughts about the impact he has made worldwide with his music, the inspiration behind his latest album, Palabra De To’s, how he is incorporating country influences into his new album for 2025, his musical inspirations and more!
Ingrid Fajardo:Hi, friends at Billboard. Today we are really happy because we’re here at Viña del Mar with the great Carín León.
Carín León:Thank you so much.
How are you? It’s a pleasure to have you!
Thank you.
We’re so honored to have you here at Viña, on the day of your show.
We’re almost there, almost desperate and a little restless, nervous, but fascinated to be here and so far away.
Your debut at Viña del Mar, can you believe it? Obviously it’s a very different crowd that maybe hasn’t listened to a lot of regional, and now …
Yes, look, the truth is that I think, and I always say this, we had no idea when we started this whole thing. We didn’t know how far we’d go or all the things we’d be able to achieve. But it makes me really happy that this is happening with Latin music in general, and above everything else, with our Regional Mexican genre. Today, everyone listens to it everywhere, so we’re here, happy with life and eager to continue promoting Mexico’s name, especially here since we’re so far away. It’s a really important show.
And I love that because it’s been opening — I don’t know if you’ve noticed — but opening different doors. You were in Madrid with an incredible concert. You literally brought “El Palenque” to Madrid.
Keep watching for more!

Transporting the Quinta Vergara to his hometown of Santa Marta, Colombia, Vives took the stage shortly after 7:50 p.m. ET and kicked off with the vallenato anthem “Pa’ Mayte,” which of course got the entire audience on their feet. The accordion-powered track, one of Vives’ earliest hits, definitely set the tone for the rest of the set, with the Latin Grammy-winning artist winding through his most iconic songs, including “‘Ella Es Mi Fiesta,” “Fruta Fresca,” “La Gota Fría” and “La Tierra del Olvido.”
“Good night, Viña,” Vives greeted the crowd — most often referred to as the monster for their high standards for festival performers. Looking like a total rockstar and working the entire stage singing, dancing and playing the harmonica, the 63-year-old hitmaker was in awe of the crowd’s embrace. “Where are the people who are going to ride the bike with me tonight? Where are the cumbia dancers?” The bike referencing “La Bicicleta,” his song with Shakira, which he also performed tonight. For that specific song, he joined the crowd, at times dancing alongside fans.
One of the most special moments of the night was when Vives returned to the crowd area to serenade his wife Claudia Elena Vásquez with “Volví a Nacer,” his performance sealed with a passionate kiss. “I want to share with you something very special, this song was composed during a difficult moment of my life,” he prefaced the song. “We all spend difficult nights, but we know that the next day the sun rises. I composed this song for a person at a very special moment and from this song things changed in my life, and I want to dedicate it to everyone because I know that at some point we will all be born again.”
“Thank you Chile, thank you Latin America for these 30 years,” Vives said before the crowd awarded him the Gaviota de Plata. Shortly after, former Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo handed the singer his very own national team jersey — a special gift for the self-proclaimed soccer fan.
In another emotional moment, Vives remembered his compadre Egidio Cuadrado, wishing him a heavenly birthday. His longtime accordionist, who would have turned 72 today, died in October. He went on to sing “Carito,” which they wrote together. During that performance, a little girl dressed in a gorgeous dressed with the colors of the Colombian flag took the stage with Vives and showed off her dance moves, immediately stealing the spotlight.
Right after receiving the Gaviota de Oro, Vives brought out fellow colombiano Sebastián Yatra to sing “Robarte Un Beso.” Yatra returns to the amphitheater on Saturday (March 1) for his own set. Vives closed his riveting set with “Cuando Nos Volvamos a Encontrar.”
“Thank you, Viña,” he expressed before leaving the Quinta Vergara stage.
Later tonight, Mexican music star Carín León will close day three of the festival.
On Thursday (Feb. 27), Viña will continue with Incubus, Juan Carlos López and The Cult; Feb. 28, urban night, with headliner Duki, Eladio Carrión and Kid Voodoo; and, rescheduled from Tuesday night, on March 1 Colombia’s Morat and Sebastián Yatra will close out this year’s edition of Viña del Mar.

Chilean icon Myriam Hernández headlines Day 2 of the 2025 Viña del Mar International Song Festival, performing Monday night (Feb. 24) at the Quinta Vergara amphitheater in the coastal city of Viña del Mar in Chile.

Marc Anthony officially kicked off the 2025 Viña del Mar International Song Festival on Sunday (Feb. 23) at the Quinta Vergara Amphitheater in the coastal city in Chile.
His set, more than an hour long, began at 7:55 p.m. ET, with the Puerto Rican salsa act performing “Pa’alla Voy.” He then continued with his early 2000s hits, “Valío La Pena,” “Y Hubo Alguien” and “Volando Entre Tus Brazos.” “How cool!” Anthony murmured in the mic as the packed venue of 15,000 fans sang along.
“Thank you so much. Thank you so much, for real,” the salsa artist said to the crowd, which included the presence of his wife, model Nadia Ferreira, in the front row. “What a wonderful time to be able to share with you all after so many years. How wonderful to see you. This next song is one of my favorites. If you know it, sing it with me.”
This is the fourth time the festival has hosted Anthony, following performances in 2009, 2012 and 2019.
He then continued with four back-to-back timeless covers that he’s made popular: Polo Montañez’s “Flor Pálida,” Juan Gabriel’s “Abrazame Muy Fuerte,” José José’s “Almohada” and José Luis Perales’ “¿Y Cómo es El?”
“How exciting, but do you want salsa? Let’s go!” Marc said after the romantic set, continuing with “Que Precio Tiene el Cielo.”
Shortly after, the event’s co-hosts, Karen Doggenweiler and Rafael Araneda, joined the artist on stage. “This quinta [venue] sings, dances and enjoys your music!” Araneda told Anthony as the audience signaled the popular flying seagull hand gesture to give him a trophy.
As tradition holds, the week-long event features local and international artists who compete for either a silver torch or golden torch. On this year’s opening night on Sunday, Marc received the two coveted gaviota trophies before wrapping up with salsa bangers “Mala,” “Te Conozco Bien,” “Tu Amor Me Hace Bien” and “Vivir Mi Vida.”
“It’s incredible,” Anthony said to the hosts. “I was telling Nadia that there is no country like Chile. Stepping on this land is felt immediately. What an honor to be in Chile!”
Each night, Viña del Mar, which has become Chile’s highest-rated television show, features a headliner, a supporting artist, a comedian and an international song festival in folk and pop categories, with contestants competing to win in each.
