Britney Spears Speaks Out After Possibly Emergency Situation at LA Hotel | Billboard News

Britney Spears is speaking out on Instagram after she was photographed exiting the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles barefoot around the same time an ambulance was dispatched to the hotel.

Britney Spears has responded to reports of allegedly being escorted out of a LA hotel with paramedics after a fight with her boyfriend. Britney logged on Instagram to say the news is fake and “I also twisted my ankle last night and paramedic showed up at my door illegally. I felt completely harassed. I’m moving to Boston!” So here’s the backstory. The LA Fire Department confirmed to Billboard that they received a 911 call at around 12:42am, the morning of May 2 requesting aid for an injured adult female at Chateau Marmont. Though they departed the hotel at 1:17am, without transporting anyone to the hospital. And paparazzi photos obtained by multiple outlets show pop star Britney Spears was outside the hotspot barefoot scene with Paul Solis who Spears has previously been seen photographed with and rumor today. Sources also told CNN Brit is home and safe after a major fight with her boyfriend. We have reached out to Britney’s team and we’ll keep you posted.

Taylor Swift Lands in Top 5, Phoebe Bridgers in Top 10 on TikTok Billboard Top 50 | Billboard News

On this week’s TikTok Billboard Top 50, we have Taylor Swift coming in hot in the top 5, with Phoebe Bridgers and Shaboozey in the top 10, but who’s at No. 1? Watch to find out more!

Lay Bankz holds strong while three big names debut in the top 10. Lay Bankz’s “Tell Ur Girlfriend” holds on to the top spot on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 for the chart posting May 2. Elsewhere on the chart, T-Swift’s “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” debuts at No. 4 thanks to a trend of showing off cuteness. Her good friend Phoebe Bridgers lands at six with a slowed-down version of “Scott Street.” Fresh off of Stagecoach, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song” sits at No. 9.

Dua Lipa’s Radical Chart Achievements | Billboard Explains

With Dua Lipa’s new album Radical Optimism coming out this Friday, we take a look back at her chart accomplishments, including debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 and breaking records with songs such as “Levitating.”

Throughout the whole record, there’s this idea of chaos happening around, and me trying to push through it in a way that feels authentic and honest.

Dua Lipa is gearing up to release her new album, Radical Optimism, so we’re taking a look back at her chart accomplishments. This is Billboard Explains: Dua Lipa’s Radical Charter Achievements.

Dua Lipa made her Billboard Hot 100 debut with “Blow Your Mind (Mwah).” The song peaked at No. 72 in November 2016. Since then, she’s racked up 23 career entries on the Hot 100, including five top 10s; “New Rules,” that reached No. 6; “Don’t Start Now” peaked at No. 2 and “Levitating,” which also hit No. 2, just to name a few.

“Levitating” was a massive success for Dua on the charts. Not only was it the year-end No. 1 Hot 100 Song of 2021, it holds the record as the longest charting song among women in the Billboard Hot 100 history, with 77 weeks total. It also holds the record for the most weeks spent in the top 10 of the Hot 100 in history among women, with 41 weeks.

Over on the Pop Airplay chart, Dua holds 23 career entries with five No. 1 songs, including “Break My Heart” and “Dance the Night.”

Plus, she has three charting albums on the Billboard 200 including one top 10 with Future Nostalgia, that peaked at No. 3.

If you thought the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef was anywhere near squashed, Kendrick just turned up the heat. Kendrick Lamar surprise dropped “euphoria” in response to Drake’s “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle” where he used AI to include Tupac in the diss track “euphoria” is over six minutes of diss after diss mostly against Drake, but also J. Cole. That’s likely in reference to rapper YNW Melly who is currently on trial for allegedly killing two of his friends. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. Kendrick also touches on Drake’s feud with Pusha T and brings up one of his recent collaborators. Bun B and Chase B Debate the Best Get Up Anthems of Houston | Billboard x Tres Generaciones Tequila

Billboard and Tres Generaciones Tequila are partnering to find the Get Up Anthems of select cities, and the first stop is Houston, Texas. In conversation with Rocsi Diaz, Houston natives Bun B and Chase B sat with Billboard’s Damien Scott and Cat Johnson to curate their top 10 Get Up Anthems for Houston. The list includes songs that inspired and energized their city, by Houston artists, presented by Tres Generaciones Tequila.

Bun B:
All right, look, I’m gonna just, I’m gonna just throw it out there because somebody’s got to say, this is No. 1.

And the title, love that Empathogen. Tell me the inspiration about why you wanted to name the album that?

Willow:
Well, you know, during the time that you know, these songs were kind of coming into being and I was creating this concept for the album, I was learning a lot about indigenous plant medicine. Another, you know name for these molecular compounds. These ancient molecular compounds are called empathogens — empathy and pathogens — pathogens that create empathy when you ingest them. And yeah, I just … I just thought that was a really beautiful explanation of, you know, kind of how I want to walk in the world, how I want to affect the space when I enter the space. And I just thought that was a really cool name.

Hi my people, this is the Young King, Myke Towers and I’m inviting you to spend the day with me. We are at the gym now. Let’s work out.

Myke Towers
I’ve been working out for a year or so, it’s not really like I love to work out, but when I saw the results at the shows, I thought “Hmmm, I have to keep on working out in the gym.” Also it helps me clear my mind. I usually train with a coach because I get bored if I do it alone and, you have someone who motivates you like, “Come on, do this.” Otherwise I wouldn’t even come. I need to have music to keep me motivated and even more so if it’s hardcore going out music. I work out five days a week and the other days… I don’t. It helps me be calmer about things because I am able to release that energy and deal with things better.

Myke Towers
When I wrote my first song, I was 18 years old, and it was like a freestyle. It wasn’t even a song but I already had something written. I don’t remember it, but I know it was the first thing I memorized to sing to everyone. I sang it a lot. Nobody believed I had written it. It helped me break the ice.

Plies “Pop Yo Sh*t,” PARTYNEXTDOOR “For Certain” & More | Daily Visuals 4.29.24

For a while now Plies has been surprisingly getting his political commentary on with his Twitter posts where he’s been pointing out the obvious fact that Donald Trump is criminal and while he’s been getting the wrath of the alt-right for his “hot takes,” the rapper is still living his best life regardless of the feathers he’s been ruffling.

Taking a break from the political spectrum to get back to his rapping career, Plies comes through with some new visuals to “Pop Yo Sh*t” where he hops out of a private jet and takes to the mic which was “coincidentally” placed right next to the plane so he can, well, pop his sh*t.

The PARTYNEXTDOOR meanwhile seems to like to go incognito whenever turning up and in his clip for “For Certain” the Canadian crooner hits up an abandoned warehouse that’s hosting an intimate and sexy soiree where half-naked bodies and bumping and grinding under some dimly lit redlights. Looks like a special kinda place.
