Ice Cube has always been one of the more outspoken voices in Hip-Hop and his words carry weight with his fans and observers alike. In a new interview, the Los Angeles rapper and actor shared his thoughts on the emergence of AI in music, calling the practice “demonic” in short.
Ice Cube joined the Full Send podcast team for a sitdown inside Barney’s Beanery, opening the chat by speaking on the star’s latest ventures in the acting world. The conversation then shifted to music, and the unavoidable topic of AI came up in the discussion.
In his typical brash fashion, the artist born O’Shea Jackson didn’t mince his words when discussing the changes in the music industry by way of AI.
“I don’t wanna hear an AI Drake song. Yeah. I don’t wanna hear that bullshit. He should sue whoever made it,” Cube said, discussing the use of the Canadian star’s voice on the AI-generated track, “Heart On My Sleeve,” which went viral online.
Cube added, “It’s like a sample. Somebody can’t take your original voice and manipulate it without having to pay. I think AI is demonic, I think AI is going to get a backlash from organic people.”
Ice Cube Isn’t the only one who feels this way as Young Guru called out Timbaland for his embrace of AI usage in songs and for launching a program that will allow producers to generate voices of known artists for their own works.

Black Americans are gathered in solidarity today on Twitter in taking out their anger against a Jamaican business owner who said she no longer wants to do business with the group. Known as The Barefoot Island Lady (TBIL), the owner of Rustic Mountain Living sparked outrage after saying she will no longer rent out her cottages to Black Americans for short-term stays because, in so many words, Black Americans lack couth.
Twitter user @NikkiThaGodB1 was among the first people to share videos regarding the Barefoot Island Lady’s stances against Black Americans and we did some digging on her TikTok page to discover that she’s held this position for a few days now.
In one video, TBIL opens up by sharing that she will no longer offer short-term rentals of her properties and put the blame on the. aforementioned group. The video can be viewed below.
In the following video, TBIL doubles down on her stances and even begins the video by admitting that she doesn’t think all Black Americans are the problem. That said, she continued to blast the group by saying that they were fighting amongst each other on her properties. She also called these particular guests “disrespectful” and “unappreciative” among other choice words.
If that wasn’t enough, TBIL tripled down and said she isn’t apologizing for vocalizing her disdain for the group despite the negative press and comments that have come her way since the airing of the videos.
On Twitter, Black Americans are naturally taken aback by The Barefoot Lady and her viewpoints. One user even dug up an alleged exchange between TBIL and a white customer with the pair sharing their displeasure of Black people.
As the saying goes, all press is good press but we’re wondering how this will play out for the business going forward.
Check out the reactions below.

Conway The Machine is one of the most talented rappers of his generation and arguably its best representative in some circles. With a renewed sense of vigor, the gruff-voiced Buffalo, N.Y. star shared in an interview that therapy aided him in creating some of the best music of his career.
Conway The Machine sat down with Zane Lowe for Apple Music in support of his latest body of work, Won’t He Do It. The sound on the new project is decidedly more polished and upbeat than some of Conway’s earlier work although he’s shown his sonic diversity several times in his ongoing career.
At one pivotal point during the chat with Lowe, Conway gave credit to therapy getting him to a point of appreciating his formidable gifts and the success it helped him achieve.
“Growing up in a hood and stuff, and particularly with young men and just in the communities and stuff, we look at wanting to get therapy or stuff like that, it’s like a, I don’t know, a slight, I guess or, we look at it like it’s a weakness or something,” Conway shared.
“But I realized quick that it really wasn’t. It was actually very helpful. You know what I’m saying? And got me to this point to where I’m back making music, I think some of my best music.”
Emerging from the Griselda camp and released several acclaimed projects over the past few years, these days Conway The Machine is the founder of the Drumwork Music Group, a stacked recording label featuring talented standouts rappers 7xvethegenius (said Lovethegenius) and Jae Skeese.

Indiana is home to a passionate base of basketball fans as evidenced in a new video that showed a man coming from the stands to attack a referee on the court. The situation took place at a youth basketball game and the man who attacked the ref got taken down MMA style before it was broken up.
Twitter user Jeff Lytle shared a video via Twitter this past Saturday (May 20) from a youth basketball game at SportONE Parkview Fieldhouse in Indiana, according to a report from local outlet WANE which has more.
From WANE:
A witness told WANE 15 that the parent in the video was complaining about foul calls. After speaking to the referee, he was then asked to leave the game.
As the official attempted to get help in removing the parent, the man got in his face and grabbed the referee, according to the witness.
The witness then said the man was ultimately escorted out of the game and did not return. The witness claimed they showed officers the video of the incident.
The outlet adds that the eight-grade teams were playing in the Gym Rats Basketball tournament in Fort Wayne.
Thankfully, things were broken up at the scene as police officers were never called to the venue to intervene.
As we said, basketball is life in Indiana. Word to Larry Bird.

Cam’ron was known for hot takes way before his sports show. He has just confirmed his back and forth with Ben Gordon are not serious at all.
As spotted on HipHopDX the Harlem, New York native is making his rounds to promote his new hit show It Is What It Is. During an interview with Good Day New York’s veteran anchorwoman Rosanna Scotto the two discussed a variety of topics including how the new platform brought he and MA$E back together in a great way. He explained he offered him the co-host seat as a thank you.
“MA$E got me my first record deal, ever. So doing this show and creating this show and having him be a part of it, it felt like I’m giving back to him for helping me even be an entertainer” Cam’ron explained. “I may not have been where I’m at if [Ma$e] didn’t take me to Biggie Smalls and get me my first record deal. I wanted to pay him back, and hopefully, this show will do that.”
Rosanna also made sure to ask about his ongoing feud with former NBA baller Ben Gordon. Cam went to reveal their back and forth was never that serious. “So look, let me explain what happened with Ben Gordon,” he explained. “It’s funny, my brother is over there who started this whole thing. So I did a report on Ben Gordon and I’m not going to talk about Ben — wassup, Ben?”. At the end of the day it was all jokes. “It’s all fun and games, at least on my behalf. I think it’s all fun and games. I don’t have a problem with Ben.”

Rick Ross taking on DJ Envy was not in anyone’s bingo card for 2023, but that’s exactly what’s unfurling in hilarious fashion on social media and abroad. After Rick Ross fired a shot at DJ Envy over hosting an upcoming car show in Memphis amid his own battle to get a permit for a car show, the beef between the pair has heated all the way up with Rozay seemingly getting the better of the exchange.
Based on what we’ve seen play out online, Rick Ross set off the beef by throwing a shot at DJ Envy for The Breakfast Club host’s upcoming car show, Drive Your Dreams, in Memphis, Tenn. this coming weekend.
The following weekend, Rick Ross will be hosting his own car show at his Promised Land estate in Fayetteville, Ga. despite resistance from neighbors and unsigned permits according to recent reports. The announcement of Envy’s show seemed to rankle Ricky Rozay, and he fired off a number of Instagram Stories slamming his car show rival.
Envy, a man of pride, fired back and tried to give it as good as he got it but it’s really getting personal after Ross invited Envy, his wife, and his sons to come “mop the marble” of his pool after Envy claimed Ross “Airbnb’s his crib,” in no doubt a reference to the fact that Ross rents out the property to production studios. How is that a diss? Anyway.
Ross upped the ante by inviting Envy and his sons to come clean and then breakdance at the pool to the tune of Beastie Boys’ “Brass Monkey” track along with other shots that’d be difficult for anyone to recover from.
Based on the chatter from Twitter, it appears that Rick Ross has been kicking DJ Envy’s back in about the car show for 24 hours. We’ve got the reactions from all sides below.

Boosie has filmed yet another VladTV interview. In this edition he says that the majority of rappers are federal informants.
As spotted on Complex the Baton Rouge, Louisiana talent has once again shared his unique point of view with the world. This week DJ Vlad released a clip of their newest Q&A and the self-proclaimed BooPac had a very hot take aimed at the entire Rap industry. When discussing the recent announcement that Pras admitted to working with the government, the man named Torrence Hatch Jr. was not surprised at all at the news says “90 percent of rappers” are rats.
“It’s a worldwide movement, bro. It’s a worldwide movement of rats. And it’s turning out the music industry is full of them,” he added. “There’s more rats in the music industry than the streets. Because I think they don’t wan to lose. You know? They don’t want to lose this lifestyle. That’s how they develop into rats, because they want all this sh*t but they don’t want to lose it. And they figure they can go get it back when they come home.”
Boosie went on to detail the effects snitching has on the families related to the individual who got told on. “Most of the time, when those snitches, whatever they do, they end up dying, deaths. They end up living horrible lives. The people who supporting rats don’t give a f*** about children. Those children suffer when you rat on that f***ing family and that daddy. That child grows up without a daddy, that child grows up without a mother. So, anybody supporting f***ing rats, they don’t give a f*** about a kid.”
