Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican Party nominee for President of the United States, was in Pennsylvania hosting a rally when shots rang out. After popping noises were heard, several Secret Service agents rushed the stage, turning into a photo op that some on Xitter believe to be staged.
According to a breaking NBC News report, Donald Trump was in Western Pennsylvania hosting a rally as part of the campaign trail for the business mogul and presidential hopeful. Trump was in the early stages of the rally when loud noises were reportedly heard in the distance. The sounds somewhat resembled gunshots, prompting Secret Service agents to secure the safety of the former president.
More from NBC News:
Trump was speaking when he reached for the side of his face as popping sounds rang out over the rally. He then crouched down as Secret Service agents rushed the stage and surrounded him. He was quickly escorted into a vehicle, walking off the stage with agents on all sides.
Screams from the audience rang out as the scene unfolded.
A Secret Service spokesperson said in a statement posted to X that “the former President is safe.”
“This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available,” agency spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi posted.
Trump is currently being treated at a local facility and was reportedly injured in the ear and head area. Dramatic images online show Trump being tackled by agents with the American Flag flying behind them amid the confusion.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, some are saying that the shooting was a staged event meant to sway voters. Others had other things to say and we’ll feature reactions from all sides below.

Eminem has been very clear about his devotion to Detroit and has always paid homage to the city where he began his career as a battle rapper. Now a seasoned veteran, Eminem enlisted the services of Detroit’s younger generation of artists Big Sean and BabyTron to join him on the track “Tobey” and also appeared in a video with (the former?) Slim Shady.
The track “Tobey” is the second single from the upcoming The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), the 12th studio project from Eminem that drops Friday (July 12). Produced by Em, Cole Bennett, Car!ton, Daniyel, Marvy Ayy, and John Nocito, “Tobey” opens with a verse from BabyTron who delivers a strong verse followed by the pyrotechnics of Big Sean before both yield the anchor verse to Eminem.

Serena Williams shared a funny anecdote about trying to deposit a very large check at a drive-thru during her career.
Tennis great Serena Williams was beloved and respected for her drive, but in a recent interview, she shared a story about how her focus led her to have a mishap at a bank’s drive-thru window.
Williams was the guest on a recent episode of the highly popular Hot Ones series from First We Feast. During the interview, as Williams got to dig in on some spicy wings, at the 11-minute mark host Sean Evans asked: “Is it true that you rarely collected your winnings your first year on tour and then once tried unsuccessfully to cash your first million-dollar check in a drive-thru ATM?”
[embedded content]
“Yeah, those are all true,” the 23-time Grand Slam champion confirmed. “I never played for money, I played ’cause I loved the sport. I wanted to be the best. I wanted to win.” She continued, saying: “So my tax guy, he would be like, ‘You didn’t get your money?’ and I’d be like, ‘Oh, I didn’t get that one in Zurich,’ ‘Oh, I forgot that one in Moscow,’…I was just playing to win, and if I didn’t win, I wasn’t thinking. I was just so angry, that I wanted to find a way to get better and win the next time.”
It turned out that her focus led her to collect a very substantial amount of earnings. “I got my check and it was a million dollars,” Williams said. “Like, okay, I’m gonna go deposit it. I’d never really spent a lot of money. I was so serious. I don’t know what happened to me, I used to be serious. So I just went through the drive-thru … and the guy was like, ‘Uh, I think you need to come inside for this.’” Evans and Williams laughed as she said, “lessons to learn.”
The story was one of a few notable anecdotes that Williams shared, including a look at the stylish outfits she wore during her career including a denim suit she said was inspired by one that another tennis champion, Andre Agassi, wore on the court. Her Hot Ones appearance comes as her ESPN+ documentary series, In The Arena: Serena Williams makes its debut on Wednesday (July 10).

Shakur Stevenson is the current WBC Lightweight champion and made a successful defense of his title over the weekend against Artem Harutyunyan in Stevenson’s hometown of Newark, N.J. The fight was reportedly not a thrilling one, with Cam’Ron and Ma$e critiquing Stevenson’s performance, promoting a fiery tirade from the boxer online that has now erupted into a true war of words.
Shakur Stevenson, 27, was made aware of the disdain that not only fight fans but his corner also noticed on July 6. Many times throughout the fight, Stevenson’s corner pleaded with him to throw punches but Harutyunyan was also relatively inactive. This performance caught the eye of Cam’Ron and Ma$e, who had some things to say on their It Is What It Is sports talk program.
Much of the vitriol from Stevenson landed in the direction of Ma$e, and we’ll share some of the Xitter replies in question in the gallery below. Let’s just say that it’s very much up for Stevenson against the It Is What It Is hosts.
The artist born Mason Betha responded to Stevenson with a menacing drawl letting it be known in so many words that it can turn to beef if it needs to. Killa Cam also added some sauce on top of the brewing beef, telling Stevenson that street boxing isn’t the same as boxing in the ring.
Despite enjoying his recent title defense, Shakur Stevenson has been going off on Xitter, which made Ma$e and Cam’Ron essentially say that the boxer is crashing out.
Check out the chatter and reactions below.

President Joe Biden and his showing at the first presidential debate with Donald Trump reportedly set off alarms throughout campaign insiders and the Democratic Party. In a new interview, President Joe Biden showed some of the determined grit that some observers felt was missing from his campaign and displayed confidence in his abilities to return to the White House for a second term.
President Joe Biden called into the Monday (July 8) edition of MSNBC’s Morning Joe and called out members of his party who were said to be doubtful of his chances of maintaining the pace and vigor needed to carry the campaign. In a brazen move, President Biden didn’t name names but did aim sharp barbs at critics instead of rallying around the will of the people.
“I’m getting so frustrated by the elites in the party. They know so much more,” Biden said with measurable defiance. ‘If any of these guys don’t think I should run, run against me. Go ahead. Announce for president, challenge me at the convention.”
Several House Democrats have gone on record to call for President Biden to drop out of the race, and the president also plans to speak with veteran party leaders to assure them of his intentions to remain in the fight.
“I don’t think what those big names think,’ Biden said. “They were wrong in 2020. They were wrong in 2022 about the red wave. They’re wrong in 2024.”
In addition to the tough talk from Biden on Morning Joe, the president also sent a letter to Democrats in Congress who may be concerned about his ability and health to withstand the brutal campaign trail ahead.
“I wouldn’t be running again if I did not absolutely believe I was the best person to beat Donald Trump in 2024,” Biden wrote in the letter. “We had a Democratic nomination process and the voters have spoken clearly and decisively.”
News of President Joe Biden’s Morning Joe interview and the letter to Congress has sparked some reactions on X, formerly Twitter. We’ve got those reactions below.

Busta Rhymes is a consummate professional and one of the top performers to ever grace the stage. Over the weekend, Busta Rhymes ended his set by teasing a possible remix to Kendrick Lamar’s massive hit “Not Like Us.”
Busta Rhymes was at the Essence Festival in New Orleans over the weekend and the veteran Hip-Hop performer had DJ Scratchator rock a portion of his verse from the assumed “Not Like Us” remix. However, it isn’t known if it’s an official release. DJ Scratchator ran the verse back twice as Busta and Spliff Star continued to exit the stage.
If this remix is the genuine article, it appears that Busta has chosen a side in the ongoing feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, with many declaring the Compton, Calif. star the victor over his Canadian counterpart.
Also during Busta’s set at Essence Fest, the former Leaders Of The New School rapper checked the crowd for being too subdued for his tastes and said in his three decades of performing, he’s never had folks play the too-cool for-school position.
“Thirty-three years of doing this sh*t, I ain’t used to n*ggas sitting down at my show. I don’t give a f*ck! All age groups, get your ass up now,” Busta said to a crowd still trying to settle in their seats.
You can watch clips of both moments featuring Busta Rhymes below.

Kevin Samuels was a polarizing social media figure whose brash advice towards men and especially women, garnered fame and criticism. Recently on X, formerly Twitter, a woman shared that Kevin Samuels was instrumental in her accepting the fact she may never find romantic love. Still, users on the social media platform are letting her know that the type of woman Samuels was found with may have been the same type of woman he routinely criticized.
X user @Mila_Tequilaa wrote on Independence Day (July 4) the following.
“Kevin Samuels taught me to accept the reality of being a single mother. The dating pool shrinks significantly, and I’m not first choice. It’s not a bad thing, just reality. Made my bed, I gotta lay in it… with somebody’s son who chooses me,” she wrote.
Immediately, other folks on X began to seize on her words, especially in the quote reply section, reminding the woman that Samuels was found dead with a woman he didn’t make an honest woman if the rumors online are true. There were even talks that the person was a so-called “working woman” but the person did go public in 2022 to explain that she was a high-earning woman from the Midwest but little else about her has been revealed since.
Kevin Samuels passed away on May 5, 2022, in his Atlanta apartment. The woman mentioned above was with him and tried to revive Samuels but was unsuccessful. According to reports, Samuels was a two-time divorcee and had one child from his first marriage.
He was 53.

Hailey Welch joins a long list of online sensations that have emerged over the years due to her now-ubiquitous sound clip explaining her “Hawk Tuah” technique. Now almost universally known as the Hawk Tuah Girl, Hailey Welch is living the life of a mini-celebrity but what exactly is the craze all about?
We have content creators Tim & Dee TV for bringing Hailey Welch to the masses. In one of their videos that was filmed in Nashville, Tenn., the hosts of the channel are walking around a rather popping venue asking women what is their go-to move in the bedroom to make a man “go crazy” in their words.
It appears that many of the young women in the video were pretty proud of their, ahem, oral abilities as that seemed to be a common refrain. However, things went all the way left with the 21-year-old Welch, who appeared to be a little lit, creating the viral moment that will live forever and has sparked several zany memes.
“You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang, you get me?” exclaimed Welch, and the trend was born.

With all the buzz surrounding her, several outlets have scrambled to get Welch’s story and learn more about the woman behind the phrase.
What has been learned is that Welch is from the Volunteer State although she hasn’t been explicit about where her hometown but there is no denying her distinct accent. Welch also isn’t a schoolteacher as has been reported and confirmed that she worked at a spring factory in her home state before recently quitting. According to an interview she did with the Plan Bri podcast with host Brianna LaPaglia, and shared some details about her sudden rise to fame.
[embedded content]
Of course, Welch is having to deal with the weirdos and folks pretending to be her online. Welch explained that she long ago deleted all of her social media accounts but that hasn’t stopped the mouth breathers in some dank basement from attempting to seize on her moment for whatever odd reasons they have.
Tim & Dee TV is milking the moment for views as well and is selling merch with the phrase. We weren’t able to uncover the details of Welch’s business with the content creators but in the Plan Bri chat, Welch revealed that she’s working with Jason Poteete of Fathead Threads on merch and was clear in saying Poteete is giving her a substantial cut of the profits of the official Hawk Tuah line. However, some strange person asked Poteete to get Welch to spit in a jar for $600, a request she found revolting.
There have been debunked rumors that Welch signed with the UTA talent agency. However, she has confirmed she has a manager and team behind her now. Welch was also spotted with the likes of Shaquille O’Neal, who took photos with her during his recent DJ gig in Nashville.
It isn’t known what’s next for Hailey Welch but considering her fun energy and southern charm, she’ll be expected to land a deal somewhere for appearances and more.
