Welp, the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences might think the response to Will Smith slapping of Chris Rock at the Oscars last year was “sub-par,” but it appears that Smith himself is finally ready to move on after apologizing to death for the incident, and now the Fresh Prince of Belair star got jokes.
Smith recently posted a reaction video alongside a Tik Toker who claimed one can make their life more “interesting and fun” by asking inanimate objects how they feel about you.
“It sounds insane, but it will change your life,” the TikTok creator said while Smith deliberately looks intrigued. “Did you know that you can pick any object, look at it, and ask it what it thinks of you?”
“So, for example, you can pick up a pen and ask it how it sees you or what it thinks of you, and you will get an answer in your mind from your intuition,” she continued.
Will, a man who, despite going ham on Rock for joking about his wife, is no stranger to comedy himself, can be seen looking off-camera and then retreiving the Oscar he won for Best Actor the night of the infamous slap, and he looked at his award as if to ask: “So, are we good now, or nah?”
Meanwhile, the fine folks on Twitter are beyond amused.
Then, of course, there were those who apparently believe Smith should spend the rest of his life traveling the walk of shame for slapping Chris. Those people were, well, less amused.
It’s been nearly a year since the slap heard around the world happened on the Oscars stage. A lot of people are over it. A lot of people were never mad at Will in the first place. Other people are going to side-eye Smith for the rest of his career.
And some of us are just glad to see Will Smith be his lighthearted self again.
So, what do y’all think? Is it too soon for Will to be joking about the slap? Will it ever be OK? Is it time everyone just got over it, or what?

Elliott Wilson is looking to push the culture further. He has launched a new show on TIDAL exploring a day in the life with rap talent.
As spotted on Hip Hop N More the esteemed journalist has another trick up his sleeve. This week he announced his new THORO show where he links with an MC and spends time with them throughout all of their travels; personally and professionally.
For the launch, the Rap Radar Podcast co-host met up with the East Atlanta, Georgia native in his hometown of Dekalb County. The duo visit his former home of the Paradise East Apartments to see where it all started for the “Hell Shell” rapper. They then head to a nearby Texaco station (where there is currently a mural of Nudy up) then join the rest of his team for lamb chops at a eatery called Cheetah Lounge.
Wilson expressed his enthusiasm regarding the experience in a Tweet. “Welcome to #Thoro I spent a day in the Eastside of Atlanta with @PDE_YOUNGNUDY He is charismatic and hilarious.” he wrote. You can view the preview to the first episode above and hear the full audio on TIDAL here.

Justice, for some, is served. Eric Holder has been sentenced to 60 years to life behind bars for the murder of beloved rapper and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle.
Holder had been found guilty of Neighborhood Nip’s slaying (first-degree murder) back in July. The details revealed in court about Holder’s actions during the killing were just heinous.
Reports TMZ:
Remember … Holder gunned down Nipsey in broad daylight back in 2019, and the brutal details were outlined at trial, with prosecutors telling the jury Holder kicked Nipsey in the head after riddling his body with bullets, claiming it was proof the attack was personal.
Deputy District Attorney John McKinney then told the jury Holder told Nipsey, “You’re through,” to which the rapper replied, “You got me.”
As we reported, Holder shot 2 other people while committing Nipsey’s murder … and he was also found guilty of 2 counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter, 2 counts of assault with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Holder has already been blessed with the proper fade by fellow inmates in jail. So, yeah…
Rest in powerful peace Nipsey Hussle.

It seems like ever since actress Megan Fox and recording artist Machine Gun Kelly got engaged, folks all over the drama-net have floated around rumors that the couple has called it quits and are no longer together. Well, apparently, not only have those rumors been false, but Fox has recently resurrected her Instagram account just so she can shoot down fresh rumors about infidelity interrupting her and MGK’s romance.
“There has been no third party interference in this relationship of any kind,” the Till Death actress wrote. “That includes but is not limited to…actual humans, DMs, AI bots or succubus demons.”
“While I do hate to rob you of running random baseless news stories that would have been much more accurately written by ChatGPT, you need to let this story die and leave all of these innocent people alone now,” she continued.S, basically, the Think Like A Dog star is requesting that folks on the internet mind the business that pays them and stop predicting cloudy skies for the couple’s pretty picnic. (*in my best Andre 3000 voice* “but you can’t predict the weather!*)

As previously reported, Fox appears to have recently scrubbed all traces of MGK from her social media accounts and also unfollowed the “Emo Girl” rapper on Instagram. So, naturally, people who pay attention to such things assumed the worst. And of course, it doesn’t help that the rumor mill surrounding their relationship went into overdrive after people began to suspect MGK was involved with his backup guitarist, Sophie Lloyd.

According to People, Loyd’s management team issued a statement also denying that she’s the other woman in Fox’s and MGK’s relationship.
“Sophie Lloyd is a professional, accomplished musician who has been needlessly dragged into the media based off of meritless accusations made by social media,” her team said. “Any suggestion that she has ever acted in an unprofessional manner or stepped out of her relationship are untrue. It’s disrespectful to her as a female artist and poor journalism and social commentary to be reporting anything else.”

Last week, we reported that attorneys for Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams, three of the four men accused of robbing and murdering rap star XXXTentacion in 2018, suggested that Drake might have been largely responsible for the “Look at Me!” rapper’s killing.
The defendants’ attorneys floated the possibility that despite their clients being tied to the shooting through surveillance footage and cellphone spots, as well as the testimony of a fourth participant in the crime, Robert Allen, it was actually an obscure rap beef between Drake and XXXTentacion that ultimately resulted in the victim’s death. In fact, the attorneys named Drake, Joe Budden, The Migos and others as eyewitnesses to the crime, which they said was not committed by their clients.
This, of course, set Black Twitter into a frenzied debate about whether or not the “Hotline Bling” rapper was the killer this whole time.
But fans can rest assured that Drake will not be taking the rap for XXXtentacion’s murder, nor will he be required to appear at the trial at all. According to TMZ, Judge Michael A. Usan granted a motion by the Certified Loverboy to avoid taking part in a deposition he was previously ordered to appear for after attorney Mauricio Padilla, who represents Williams, requested his presence during the trial to answer questions.
Apparently, Usan agreed with Drake’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, who argued that Drake had no relevant information to offer about the case. TMZ noted that “Padilla could convince the judge there’s some other cause for Drake to be deposed, and get a new subpoena,” but that’s unlikely considering the fact that the trial has already started. (And there’s also the fact that a rap beef no one really paid attention to is hardly evidence that Champagne Papi was involved in a murder.)
Either way, the defense team maintains that their clients, who are all charged with first-degree murder, are the victims of lies told by Allen.

Maybe it’s time human beings learn to treat animals well—especially when they’re bigger and stronger, and are more than capable of killing us.
Unfortunately, a man in Russia has recently learned this lesson the hard and fatal way. Even more unfortunate is the fact that the animal he appeared to abuse suffered an equal fate—albeit one that was likely far less painful.
A disturbing video is currently circling the interwebs that shows a camel trampling a man to death at a children’s camp in Russia after the man had punched it.
From the New York Post:
“The animal did not appreciate such treatment,” local media reported regarding the deadly incident, which occurred last month at the Beryozka recreation centre in Omsk, Siberia, per East2West news.
The fiasco occurred after a watchman named Yury, 51, struck the dromedary while attempting to move it, causing it to become enraged and attack him, local media reported.
In the disturbing footage, the guard can be seen walking up to the double-humped Bactrian camel — which can weigh over 1,100 pounds — and yanking on its reins. However, the animal, named Vasya, refuses to budge, after which Yuri punches him in the face. He then tries to get the camel to move a second time, whereupon Vasya wheels around and grabs his assailant with his teeth, then flings him around like a ragdoll.
After getting mauled and trampled for a protracted period, the guard can be seen lying motionless in the now-blood-stained snow while the camel continues to prod at him.
The man sustained severe injuries to his head and body and he died after being rushed to a hospital. The Post noted that “prior to the attack, the animal had reportedly been described as peaceful and was often around children sans incident,” which indicates that, like many animals, he wouldn’t attack anyone who didn’t attack him first. (If “don’t start nothin’, won’t be nothin’” was an animal, basically.) But, sadly, that didn’t change the decision to put the camel down rather than risk another human being killed, which is often the case when people put themselves in a position of danger with an animal that was minding its own business.
Meanwhile, the Post reported that law enforcement is currently investigating the camp to determine if the camel was being held legally and properly.
So, yeah—maybe just leave these animals alone.

Ciara tried to talk sense into white nationalists’ favorite Black bobblehead, Jason Whitlock, who can’t seem to stop himself from going out of his way to make stupid remarks regarding the police-involved death of Tyre Nichols.
Recently, Jason Whitlock sat down with the Calvin Candie to his Stephen, Tucker Carlson, and erroneously blamed Nichols’ violent death on Black single mothers.
Related Stories
“Everybody involved in this, on the street level, was either 24 to 32 years old. Everybody, it was a group of young Black men, five-on-one. It looked like gang violence to me. It looked like what young Black men do when they’re supervised by a single Black woman, and that’s what they got going on in the Memphis Police Department.”
“They’ve elected—or put some Black woman in charge of the police force, and we’re getting the same kind of chaos and disunity and violence that we see in a lot of these cities that are run by single mothers,” Whitlock continued, in reference to Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn “CJ” Davis. “If we want to discuss the breakdown of family that leads to disrespect for authority, that causes you to resist the police and run from the police and not comply with the police, because you resist authority at all times, because there was no male authority in your home, let’s have that discussion.”
Yeeeeah—this is beyond a reach.
Whitlock is clearly using Nichols’ death to arbitrarily take shots at single Black mothers, which makes no sense since Nichols had a stepfather in his life. Rush Limbaugh’s Black doppelganger also appears to be insinuating that if a Black woman is a single mother she couldn’t possibly be qualified to run a police department (or anything, for that matter).
Anyway, Ciara called him all the way out on his misogynoir and general anti-Blackness, but Whitlock is a dedicated house negro and he would not be dissuaded from his special brand of self-loathing.
“As a black man to get on national tv and say something like this is irresponsible,” Ciara tweeted. “A lot of amazing kids have come from single mothers. For you to also undermine single black women in the midst of this tragedy is so sad. This woman just lost her son! Do better!”
“Appreciate the feedback, Ciara. But at some point, we are going to have to deal with the negative impact of baby-mama culture,” Whitlock replied. “It’s destructive and unsustainable. Come up out of the denial. Denial won’t fix the problem. Thanks.”
Again, what does “baby-mama culture” have to do with Nichols? What do Black single mothers have to do with this story at all? It’s like Whitlock is throwing them under a bus that wasn’t even driving down their street.
WTF is wrong with this man?

In today’s episode of Now, Sis’, What Is You Doin’? a high school cafeteria worker in Louisiana has been arrested after being accused of selling cannabis edibles to students, which would indicate that she has taken the “high” part of “high school” far too literally. (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Please don’t block me.)
According to WAFB, 45-year-old Tymetrica Cohns was actually a temporary cafeteria worker at Jewel M. Sumner High School in Kentwood, Louisiana, before she was arrested Friday for allegedly selling homemade baked goods laced with cannabis to teenagers, which, you know, is like selling Scooby snacks to Scooby and Shaggy for the most part (I mean, it’s still wrong, but I’m jussayin’).
Tangipahoa Parish said they were notified about Cohns’ alleged extra-illegal-curricular activities through a Crime Stoppers app. In fact, apparently, it was a student who blew the whistle on the alleged operation, which, well, might have made them somewhat unpopular around the lunch table if anyone found out. (Again, jussayin’)
“I want to commend this student who saw something and used the app to bring this threat to the attention of our school officials and law enforcement,” Tangipahoa Parish School Superintendent Melissa Stilley said in a statement. She also explained that Cohns was a substitute worker hired by Education Staffing Solutions (ESS), a staffing service that places substitute employees in schools.
“The safety and well-being of our students are paramount,” Police Chief Jimmy Travis of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said. “We encourage using the P3 app to report anything they feel threatens their ability to learn in a safe environment.”
Yeah, man, you can’t, as a middle-aged adult especially, be out here selling weed to kids while they’re in their learning environment. Imagine adding 4/20-friendly pastries to a high school lunch menu. People are while, bruh.

Collaborations are common in the sneaker culture but Nissan and New Balance have taken it to a new level with a sneaker-themed car.
Source: Nissan / Nissan
As spotted on Hypebeast, the two brands have come together in a groundbreaking manner. This week the Japanese automobile manufacturer unveiled the Nissan Kicks “327 Edition,” a crossover inspired by the New Balance 327. The result is a car that looks like a shoe on wheels. Literally.
Present are the sneaker’s signature details including the textile stitching, suede material throughout the front and back bumper, a wrap to mimic the ’70s nylon retro aesthetic and the rear grille acts as the black rubber toe box. Additionally, we get the New Balance logo on the right side and massive “Nissan Kicks 327 Edition” branding on the left side.
Sadly, the project will not be released to the general market as your typical car launch. Instead the Nissan Kicks “327 Edition” will live as an exhibit at Aeon Mall in Tokyo; a Ginza landmark for over 50 years. Along with the opportunity to view it in person, there is a social sharing component with the campaign that incentives consumers to tweet photos of the crossover for a chance to win a pair of New Balance 327 sneakers.
Stay tuned to the official Nissan Instagram account for more details.
