Ciara tried to talk sense into white nationalists’ favorite Black bobblehead, Jason Whitlock, who can’t seem to stop himself from going out of his way to make stupid remarks regarding the police-involved death of Tyre Nichols.

Recently, Jason Whitlock sat down with the Calvin Candie to his Stephen, Tucker Carlson, and erroneously blamed Nichols’ violent death on Black single mothers.

Related Stories

“Everybody involved in this, on the street level, was either 24 to 32 years old. Everybody, it was a group of young Black men, five-on-one. It looked like gang violence to me. It looked like what young Black men do when they’re supervised by a single Black woman, and that’s what they got going on in the Memphis Police Department.”
“They’ve elected—or put some Black woman in charge of the police force, and we’re getting the same kind of chaos and disunity and violence that we see in a lot of these cities that are run by single mothers,” Whitlock continued, in reference to Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn “CJ” Davis. “If we want to discuss the breakdown of family that leads to disrespect for authority, that causes you to resist the police and run from the police and not comply with the police, because you resist authority at all times, because there was no male authority in your home, let’s have that discussion.”
Yeeeeah—this is beyond a reach.
Whitlock is clearly using Nichols’ death to arbitrarily take shots at single Black mothers, which makes no sense since Nichols had a stepfather in his life. Rush Limbaugh’s Black doppelganger also appears to be insinuating that if a Black woman is a single mother she couldn’t possibly be qualified to run a police department (or anything, for that matter).
Anyway, Ciara called him all the way out on his misogynoir and general anti-Blackness, but Whitlock is a dedicated house negro and he would not be dissuaded from his special brand of self-loathing.

“As a black man to get on national tv and say something like this is irresponsible,” Ciara tweeted. “A lot of amazing kids have come from single mothers. For you to also undermine single black women in the midst of this tragedy is so sad. This woman just lost her son! Do better!”

“Appreciate the feedback, Ciara. But at some point, we are going to have to deal with the negative impact of baby-mama culture,” Whitlock replied. “It’s destructive and unsustainable. Come up out of the denial. Denial won’t fix the problem. Thanks.”
Again, what does “baby-mama culture” have to do with Nichols? What do Black single mothers have to do with this story at all? It’s like Whitlock is throwing them under a bus that wasn’t even driving down their street.
WTF is wrong with this man?

In today’s episode of Now, Sis’, What Is You Doin’? a high school cafeteria worker in Louisiana has been arrested after being accused of selling cannabis edibles to students, which would indicate that she has taken the “high” part of “high school” far too literally. (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Please don’t block me.)

According to WAFB, 45-year-old Tymetrica Cohns was actually a temporary cafeteria worker at Jewel M. Sumner High School in Kentwood, Louisiana, before she was arrested Friday for allegedly selling homemade baked goods laced with cannabis to teenagers, which, you know, is like selling Scooby snacks to Scooby and Shaggy for the most part (I mean, it’s still wrong, but I’m jussayin’).

Tangipahoa Parish said they were notified about Cohns’ alleged extra-illegal-curricular activities through a Crime Stoppers app. In fact, apparently, it was a student who blew the whistle on the alleged operation, which, well, might have made them somewhat unpopular around the lunch table if anyone found out. (Again, jussayin’)
“I want to commend this student who saw something and used the app to bring this threat to the attention of our school officials and law enforcement,” Tangipahoa Parish School Superintendent Melissa Stilley said in a statement. She also explained that Cohns was a substitute worker hired by Education Staffing Solutions (ESS), a staffing service that places substitute employees in schools.
“The safety and well-being of our students are paramount,” Police Chief Jimmy Travis of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said. “We encourage using the P3 app to report anything they feel threatens their ability to learn in a safe environment.”
Yeah, man, you can’t, as a middle-aged adult especially, be out here selling weed to kids while they’re in their learning environment. Imagine adding 4/20-friendly pastries to a high school lunch menu. People are while, bruh.

Collaborations are common in the sneaker culture but Nissan and New Balance have taken it to a new level with a sneaker-themed car.

Source: Nissan / Nissan

As spotted on Hypebeast, the two brands have come together in a groundbreaking manner. This week the Japanese automobile manufacturer unveiled the Nissan Kicks “327 Edition,” a crossover inspired by the New Balance 327. The result is a car that looks like a shoe on wheels. Literally.

Present are the sneaker’s signature details including the textile stitching, suede material throughout the front and back bumper, a wrap to mimic the ’70s nylon retro aesthetic and the rear grille acts as the black rubber toe box. Additionally, we get the New Balance logo on the right side and massive “Nissan Kicks 327 Edition” branding on the left side.
Sadly, the project will not be released to the general market as your typical car launch. Instead the Nissan Kicks “327 Edition” will live as an exhibit at Aeon Mall in Tokyo; a Ginza landmark for over 50 years. Along with the opportunity to view it in person, there is a social sharing component with the campaign that incentives consumers to tweet photos of the crossover for a chance to win a pair of New Balance 327 sneakers.
Stay tuned to the official Nissan Instagram account for more details.

Plenty of people have been talking about Ye aka Kanye West and his new “wifey” who isn’t really his wife and, aesthetically, is basically Kim Kardashian’s biggest cosplayer.

Anyway, Ye and Bianca Censori—the 27-year-old Yeezy architectural designer Ye “married” in Beverly Hills (it was a non-legal ceremony and the couple does not appear to have filed for marriage certificates yet)—have been spotted out on the town with Ye’s daughter, North.

According to Page Six, Ye and Censori were waiting on North, who had just arrived at Nobu in Malibu on Sunday.

Predictably, not everyone is thrilled about Ye’s new “marriage” to Censori—who, again, isn’t Ye’s wife because a non-legally-binding marriage is to a real marriage what Fox News is to actual news—or the fact that she appears to be spending time with her new non-husband and non-stepdaughter.
From Page Six:
Page Six exclusively revealed that the Kardashian family was confused and concerned about the news.
“The family isn’t taking this as a marriage yet,” a source told us. “They don’t know what it is. They aren’t sure if it is a PR stunt. They are waiting to see if he files for papers. They are nervous because if it’s real, she would be in the children’s life.”

Censori, who bore a striking resemblance to the “Kardashians” star before chopping off her hair and dyeing it blond, has not been in Kim’s good books since she started working full-time at Yeezy in November 2020.
“Kim hates her. [She] has a bad opinion of her,” an insider told us earlier this month. “This woman has done stuff to make herself look like Kim.”
To be fair, you might also have an unfavorable opinion of someone who fake-married your ex and then started jacking your steeze with a wardrobe that’s an exact replica of your closet and makeup collection.
I’m just saying, it’s kinda weird—even for Ye.

Apparently, Cher is out here living her best life at age 76 with her current (and possibly forever?) boo-thang, who is 40 years younger.
A video is floating around the interwebs that shows the “Believe” singer out for a night on the town with 36-year-old music exec Alexander “AE” Edwards, aka Amber Rose’s ex. According to People, the couple was out for dinner in Beverly Hills last Thursday (Jan. 19(, when Cher was approached by a reporter who asked about her engagement (did y’all know they were engaged? I didn’t know they were engaged) providing her with the opportunity to show off the matrimonial bling-bling Edwards reportedly gifted her on Christmas day.

Cher was probably eager to show that her boyfriend put a ring on it (allegedly), since, apparently, she’s been defending her decision to date a man who was not born until she was 40.
From People:
In November 2022, Cher opened up about the public reaction to her relationship. “Haters are gonna hate … Doesn’t matter that we’re happy and not bothering anyone,” she tweeted
“LOVE DOESN’T KNOW MATH, IT SEES ❤️ ❤️,” Cher added in a since-deleted tweet captured by The Shade Room.
In another tweet on Jan. 12, the Grammy winner, who has expressed that the pair “kiss like teenagers,” posted a very simple update about her beau.
I meeeean, that might be a little TMI—but hey, cheers to the happy couple. Congrats!

Nothing quite says, “yeah, I’m guilty AF” like when a convicted criminal’s mugshot is indistinguishable from a high school yearbook photo.
As you all know, Tory Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot, and now his mugshot has recently been released and is currently being dragged up and down Black Twitter for looking like a stock photo used for Devry University ads.

If Lanez ever gets out of prison, he can use his mugshot as a headshot when he auditions to play Ron Johnson in the A Different World remake.
Tory Lanez’s mugshot is what you get when you order “Prison Bae” on Wish.
This mugshot just tried to sell me a stolen gold chain for a buck-fiddy.
I blame Jay-Z and Roc Nation for this display of photographic wickedness.
Lanez needs to stop playin’ like that’s him in this mugshot. We know Stephan Urkel when we see him. (That one was for the ’90s kids who two years ago were saying, “Who TF is Tory Lanez?”)
OK, now that I’ve got you all warmed up, here are some of our favorite Black Twitter reactions to Lanez’s mugshot.

Honestly, this would be far less funny if Lanez wasn’t being held accountable for his violent actions. But since he is, it’s probably OK to laugh at this GAP diversity day-a** mugshot photo. We’ll see if he keeps that same energy when he appears in court for sentencing.

In today’s episode of So, A Bunch of Cops Chose To Cop-ulate, a police station in Tennessee recently became the center of a blue-on-blue sex scandal after a married female officer was accused of engaging in sex-cop-ades with six male officers, some of which she allegedly had sex with while on duty.

From the New York Post:
Officer Maegan Hall and her fellow law officers allegedly engaged in wild sexcapades that included sending dirty pictures, taking her top off at a “Girls Gone Wild” hot tub party, and even having oral sex with two officers at the La Vergne, Tenn., police station, WTVF TV reported.

The steamy shenanigans — in which Hall allegedly bragged about the size of one partner’s genitals and claimed to be in an “open marriage” — not only led Hall to be canned, but led to the firings of Sgt. Lewis Powell, Officer Juan Lugo, Sgt. Ty McGowan and Detective Seneca Shields, according to a December internal investigation.
Two other officers who allegedly had romps with Hall — Patrick Magliocco and Larry Holladay — kept their jobs but wound up suspended, according to the reports.
If you listen closely, you can hear the faint sounds of a million internet users typing “blue sex lives matter” into a PornHub search engine, but assuming some of you are still reading this post, here’s how the investigation into the illicit affairs of these officers began, according to the Post:
Officials began to look into the swinging personal lives of the amorous officers when La Vergne Mayor Jason Cole received a tip that Hall was sleeping with several fellow cops and had a threesome with Magliocco and his wife, among other claims.
When asked about the tip, Magliocco admitted to having sex with Hall on “numerous occasions,” the report said.
He told investigators that Hall had told him about Powell’s “big black d–k,” and claimed she had performed a sex act on him while the pair were on the clock, the report said.
Magliocco also said he had seen Hall and Holladay kiss while watching football at a party, and said Hall had kissed his own wife, Amy, after learning they had an “open marriage,” according to the document.
The officer said Hall’s husband saw the kiss and told officials the cuckold “really wasn’t on board” with his wife having a threesome with the Maglioccos, but she continued having a relationship with him, investigators said.
At this point, I’m sure there’s only one really question on our minds: During these PO-PO-orgies, did they use their standard-issue handcuffs or the furry ones you get at your local sex shot? (Not that I would know about such things.)

Anyway, Powell initially told investigators he never had sexual relations with Hall, but he said “everybody knows she has multiple partners.” But after he got caught lying about being at the gym with Hall, he admitted he was also lying about not getting in a horizontal (I’m guessing) workout with his promiscuous co-worker.
Hall also denied having sex with Powell and Magliocco until she later copped (see what I did there?) to having sex with both officers and Officer Lugo, who also lied about it and then later admitted they had sex. Officer Shields also claimed under questioning that he “never had sex with Maegan Hall,” then later he admitted she had performed oral sex on him while on duty.
Basically, all of these cops appear to be laying together, lying about it and then folding more than body parts under interrogation. But all that did was add lying to investigators to the list of offenses they were penalized for.
HR Director Andrew Patton wrote up the report and conducted the investigation that ended in the sanctioning of the eight officers found to be guilty of misconduct including “sexual activity while on duty, sexual harassment, conduct unbecoming of an officer, and lying during the course of the investigation.”
“Pornography and offensive pictures in the workplace are forms of sexual harassment,” the report stated, referring to sexually explicit text messages and pornographic images allegedly shared between Hall and the other officers. “These items are offensive, inappropriate, and can lead to a hostile work environment for other employees.”
Let’s just all agree that this would be the weirdest episode of Law & Order ever.

Traveling by air is a convenient way to travel, but lately, it has become a headache. Due to a massive system outage, flights across the United States went nowhere.

Travelers woke up to the news or found out that their flights to their final destinations were going nowhere minutes before boarding was not going anywhere on Wednesday morning.

The FAA scrambled to get systems back up when its Notice to Air Missions System, the tool it uses to share safety information with pilots and other airline personnel, “failed,” affecting flights across the country.
According to FlightAware, more than 1,800 flights have been delayed, and over 300 have been canceled.
The outage caused the FAA to instruct all airlines to pause domestic flights until 9 AM as it worked feverishly to get the system back up.
By 8:50 AM, the agency lifted the ground stop, and flights would begin “resuming gradually.” That continues to be the case.

Was This A Cyberattack On The FAA?
In a statement, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre nixed the notion that the outage directly resulted from a cyberattack.
“The President has been briefed by the Secretary of Transportation this morning on the FAA system outage. There is no evidence of a cyberattack at this point, but the President directed DOT to conduct a full investigation into the causes. The FAA will provide regular updates, ” she tweeted.

Current Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg announced the FAA is “working to resolve this issue swiftly while noting he is calling for an “after-action process” to determine the cause of the outage.

This latest air travel nightmare comes after the mess caused by Southwest Airlines over the holiday travel season that left many of its customers stranded in airports across the US looking for answers.
If you were thinking about traveling today, don’t or mentally prepare yourself for the headache you will endure at your local airport.
