Chance The Rapper and his now, ex-wife have officially parted ways. Kirsten Corley has filed for a divorce from the Chicago rapper 8 months after they announced the split. The two went to social media to clear the air on the divorce saying, “After a period of separation, the two of us have decided to part ways. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition.”
Chance the Rapper (born Chancelor Bennett) and Kirsten Corley’s love story has been a long and public journey, filled with ups and downs. The couple first met when they were teenagers, at one of Chano’s mother’s office parties when they were both about 9 years old. Their early relationship started as friends, but romance blossomed years later. In 2019, Chance and Kirsten tied the knot and the two became a well-known couple in Chicago’s music scene. Last year fans were calling out Chance the Rapper after a video surfaced of him dancing with another woman at Carnival 2023 in Jamaica. The rapper, who was married with two kids, was seen getting a little too close to model Mela Millz during the event. In the video posted on IG, Millz can be seen whinding on Chance while he leans back and dances on her.
The video quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions from fans and bloggers, many of whom felt his behavior was inappropriate given his family situation. Some people online defended him, saying it was just a moment of fun, but others weren’t having it, calling out his actions as disrespectful.

Drake has always been known to be very generous with the people around him. This may be the funniest story of them all. The 6 God caught wind of a Drake “look-alike” contest in Toronto. Many various versions were in attendance. Nothing Was The Same Drake, curly-headed Drake, & even conrows Drizzy. The “twin” that stood out the most and the look-alike contest winner was Girl Drake and she went home with the winning prize PLUS $10,000 courtesy of The Boy.
Despite facing a tough year in 2024, with his ongoing beef with Kendrick Lamar and public challenges, Drake has remained a good sport about the jokes and critiques aimed at him. While the rivalry with Kendrick, Metro Boomin, & Future has sparked heated debates, with fans often pitting the “20 v 1” against him, Drake has handled the situation with humor. In Drake-like form, instead of getting defensive or bitter, he often laughs off the memes and jokes about his style, persona, and even his music. For instance, he’s known to post about his “L’s” on social media, showing that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. His ability to embrace the jokes has made fans love him even more. Rather than let them break him down, he has earned respect for being confident and self-aware. Even in the face of tough competition, (which in this case was choosing who looks like him the most) Drake has shown that he can take the heat and still stay cool, proving his maturity as an artist.

The NFL has made it clear that the partnership between Jay-Z, Rocnation & the NFL still stands. Recently Hov was accused of assaulting a 13-year-old girl with Diddy back in 2000. The NY legend quickly came out with a response to the accusations saying, ““My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.”
At a press conference in Irving, Texas, on Wednesday, Goodell talked about the league’s connection with Carter and Roc Nation. Emphasizing that the relationship between the NFL and Roc Nation proceeds, “is not changing… including our preparations for the next Super Bowl. We are aware of the civil allegations and Jay Z’s really strong response to that,” Goodell said. “We know obviously that litigation is happening. But from our standpoint, our relationship is not changing with them, including our preparations for the next Super Bowl.”
The NFL’s partnership with Jay-Z has made the Super Bowl Halftime performances much more entertaining. Having artists such as Rihanna, Dr.Dre, The Weeknd, & now for this year’s Super Bowl, Hip-Hop’s” MVP” Kendrick Lamar. Many fans wanted Lil Wayne to perform at this year’s Super Bowl because it was held in New Orleans, his hometown. Despite the ups and downs, Lamar is coming off a successful year and is riding high after the release of his critically acclaimed project, GNX.

According to XXL, Quando Rondo just got sentenced to 33 months in prison after pleading guilty to a federal drug case back in August. The rapper appeared in court in Chatham County, GA, on December 11, where the judge handed down the sentence. On top of prison time, Quando’s gotta pay a $40K fine and serve 3 years of probation when he gets out. That means drug tests, mental health counseling, and mandatory educational programs. He was facing up to 5 years, but it could’ve been worse. His sentence starts on January 10, 2025.
Recently, Quando Rondo opened up about his conversion to Islam, sharing how it’s helping him turn his life around. In a candid interview with the “Open Book Platform,” he spoke about finding peace and guidance through his new faith. The rapper, who has faced a lot of controversy and beef, also expressed that he’s not opposed to settling his differences with Lil Durk, who is also Muslim. Quando emphasized how Islam encourages reconciliation and peace, showing that he’s focused on growing spiritually and leaving behind past conflicts. His journey reflects a desire for change, growth, and healing.
This was before Lil Durk was taken to jail by the feds. Ironically Smurk was on the same path Quando was on as well, making a closer relationship with his creator. The Chicago rapper grew up being Muslim as his father was big in the Muslim community in O Block. Bringing those two brothers together would have been huge for Hip-Hop. There have been too many senseless deaths and fans are tired of losing their favorite rappers to gun violence every year.
