Recently, Blueface’s mom, Karlissa Saffold, caused a stir online when she posted a somewhat cryptic Instagram message. It showed someone under sheets talking to her grandson, implying that Blueface might finally be coming home from jail. The post quickly had fans speculating that his long-anticipated release had arrived. Yet officially, there has been no confirmation that he is out.

Before his legal trouble took center stage, Blueface enjoyed noticeable success in the music industry. Emerging around late 2018, his breakout single “Thotiana” exploded onto the scene and peaked in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. Known for his distinct off-beat flow and West Coast vibe, he landed significant industry co-signs and was featured in the 2019 XXL Freshman Class. His success established a reputation, made him a figure in hip-hop culture, and opened doors to touring, features, and increased visibility.

However, Blueface’s momentum came to a halt as it was interrupted by legal issues. He was sentenced in August 2024 to a four-year prison term after violating his probation in connection with an assault involving a security guard in 2021. Before that, he faced a range of charges, including felony gun possession and involvement in a Las Vegas strip club shooting, which further complicated his situation. The result has been a lengthy hiatus from the music spotlight while he serves his time and waits for the day he can fully return to the industry.

Looking ahead, if and when Blueface is actually released, there’s a clear opportunity for a rebound but also plenty of work to do. The next act for him could involve reestablishing his brand, releasing fresh music to remind fans of his sound, and perhaps reshaping his public image with a more mature narrative. He could also leverage his story of setback and comeback into new content (documentaries, social media engagement, collaborations) to regain momentum. The keys will be consistency, avoiding further legal distractions, and making sure his past doesn’t overshadow his return. Ultimately, the question isn’t just when Blueface gets out, but how he plans to come back. Stay tuned, as we will keep you informed about the latest news on his release.

NLE Choppa is on NBA YoungBoy’s head top, and now he took it to another level.

Recently, fans spotted a billboard in YB’s hometown of Baton Rouge for Choppa’s newest song, “KO”. This record was a direct shot by the Memphis rapper, making it clear he doesn’t rock with YoungBoy. The billboard shows NLE holding a fake head resembling NBA YoungBoy.

Gloves completely off.

Throughout the last 5 years, the Shotta Flow rapper has sent indirect shots at YB, but “KO” was crystal clear. Coming for his character in the diss saying, “You poison the youth, nothin’ positive you do. You the reason n*ggas beating b*tches thinking that it’s cute.” The diss track flips a classic diss track, “Hit Em’ Up” by Tupac. In the music video, he also randomly pays homage to Michael Jackson & Mike Tyson in multiple scenes. NBA YoungBoy has not yet responded to NLE The Great’s diss track.

In fact, the beef between both rappers has seemed to be one-sided from the very beginning. As YB never seems to address Choppa’s subtle disses in the past. Even after King Von’s tragic passing after a dispute between YB’s affiliates, Quando Rondo & Lil Tum, Choppa made sure to make it clear he was team OTF. Before that, NLE seemed to have fallen back and even made a song titled, “Free Youngboy” in 2024.

Family Matters actor Darius McCrary has been booked into a Michigan jail after being arrested on the United States-Mexico border.

McCrary, who will forever be known for his portrayal of Eddie Winslow, was issued a felony warrant after he reportedly missed a Michigan court hearing. McCrary allegedly failed to pay nearly $75,000 in past-due child support. The actor was finally captured, almost a month after the warrant was issued, and was booked into a San Diego jail where he stayed until he was sent to Michigan where the warrant was issued, TMZ reports.

During the first court appearance in San Diego, Wednesday (Oct. 15), McCrary appeared to be struggling to understand what was happening.

According to ABC 10News in San Diego,  McCrary was arrested for the outstanding warrant on Oct. 5. During his court hearing, McCrary decided to bypass a lawyer and opted to represent himself. At the beginning of the hearing, McCrary wanted to let the San Diego courtroom know that he was “here on special appearance.” In fact, he kept repeating that he was “here on a special appearance.”

The judge then asked, “Sir, who are you specially appearing for?” McCrary responded, “Specially appearing for Darius McCrary. I’m here. I’m here.”

“In fact, after a while, the judge — apparently having had enough — decided to give him a public defender, explaining McCrary ‘is unable to understand and appreciate the legalities of these proceedings,’” TMZ reports.

According to TMZ, McCrary’s bond has been set at $18,968.32. There has been no note of McCrary’s release at the time of this report.

“Darius was picked up at the Border of Mexico because he was partnering with a real estate developer that is building homes for the homeless in Tijuana, Mexico,” McCrary’s representative, Ann Barlow, told Fox 13. “Darius was doing a GOOD DEED when he discovered he had a felony warrant at the Border of Mexico for a missed court appearance.

“The missed court appearance was for an ongoing child support dispute, whereas Oakland County mailed the notice to appear to Darius PO BOX giving him only 3 days to appear in Michigan Court,” she continued. “Unfortunately, Darius had COVID, therefore did not check his PO Box until the day after his court date.”

McCrary is charged with four felony counts of unpaid child support. He faces up to four years in prison if convicted.

FBI Director Kash Patel is facing criticism over his reported use of a government-owned jet to travel to Pennsylvania State University last weekend, allegedly to watch his girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, perform at a wrestling event, according to The Independent.

Patel, 45, appeared alongside Wilkins, 26, at the Real American Freestyle event at Penn State on Oct. 25. Photos of the couple at the event were later shared on Wilkins’ X account, sparking online speculation about how the FBI director traveled there.

Podcaster Kyle Seraphin was the first to call out Kash Patel and Alexis Wilkins.

Podcaster Kyle Seraphin was among the first to question Patel’s actions.

“We’re in the middle of a government shutdown where they’re not even gonna pay all of the employees that work for the agency that this guy heads,” Seraphin said on the Oct. 28 episode of The Kyle Seraphin Show. “And this guy is jetting off to hang out with his girlfriend in Nashville on our dime?”

Seraphin went on to accuse the couple of “grifting off the American public.”

“He flew a $60 million aircraft to go hang out there. Is that gross to anybody else?” he added.

Public data shows that Jet N708JH, the flight Patel allegedly traveled on, according to The Daily Beast, is registered to the United States Government. The jet made a roughly 40-minute trip from Manassas Regional Airport in Virginia to State College Regional Airport in Pennsylvania on Oct. 25. About two and a half hours later, the aircraft departed for Nashville, Tennessee, where Wilkins resides.

According to flight logs obtained by the outlet, the plane landed in State College, Pennsylvania, at 5:40 p.m. EST, took off at 8:03 p.m. EST, and arrived in Nashville, where Wilkins lives, at 8:28 p.m. CDT. The following morning, it reportedly left Nashville for San Angelo, Texas, for reasons that remain unclear.

As FBI director, Patel is required to use government aircraft to maintain safety and access to secure communications, but his use of the jet in recent months has raised eyebrows, as this reportedly wasn’t the first time he’s used a federal aircraft to see Wilkins.

In April 2025, just two months after assuming his role, Patel allegedly made several trips to Nashville to visit Wilkins and was also seen accompanying her to hockey games, The Daily Beast reported. Patel has defended his use of the jet in the past, arguing that “Congress made it mandatory” for him to use the government plane for any travel, The Independent noted.

Kyle Seraphin was sued by Alexis Wilkins in August for defamation.

This is not the first time Seraphin has publicly targeted the couple, either. According to CNBC News, Wilkins filed a lawsuit against Seraphin in August for $5 million in defamation damages after he claimed she was a “former Mossad agent” sent to compromise Patel.

On an Aug. 22 episode of his show, Seraphin remarked that Kash Patel “has had his own little ‘honeypot’ issue that’s been going on of late, so we’re just going to acknowledge it real publicly.”

He continued, “He’s got a girlfriend that is half his age, who is apparently is both a country music singer, a political commentator on Rumble, a friend of John Rich through [FBI Deputy Director Dan] Bongino, who also now owns a big chunk of Rumble, and she’s also a former Mossad agent in what is like the equivalent of their NSA.”

Wilkins’ lawsuit, filed in federal court in Austin, Texas, accuses Seraphin of defamation, stating that the conservative podcaster had “maliciously lied” about her. According to the complaint cited by NBC News, Seraphin “falsely” asserted that Wilkins was “an agent of a foreign government, assigned to manipulate and compromise the Director of the FBI.”

Alexis Wilkins’ attorney wrote that Seraphin used the fabricated story as “self-enriching clickbait.” Wilkins is seeking at least $5 million in damages.

The GAO found that DOJ executives spent a total of $11.4 million on non-mission flights between 2007 and 2011.

Notably, studies have been conducted on the flight habits of government officials in the past. In 2013, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) was tasked with reviewing non-mission-related travel by Department of Justice (DOJ) executives. The GAO examined data from fiscal years 2007 through 2011 to determine which DOJ executives used department aircraft for non-mission travel, as well as the frequency, purpose, and cost of such trips.

During those five years, three officials who served as Attorney General (AG) or Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) accounted for 95 percent (659 out of 697) of all DOJ executive non-mission flights, at a total cost of $11.4 million. Of those flights, approximately 74 percent (490 out of 659) were taken for official business purposes—such as conferences, meetings, and field office visits—while 24 percent (158 flights) were for personal reasons, and the remaining 2 percent (11 flights) combined both business and personal travel.

GAO noted at the time that while the Attorney General has long been obligated to use government aircraft for every type of travel, the FBI Director—until 2011—had the discretion to use commercial air service for personal trips.

Days before voting begins in the New York City mayoral election, current New York City Mayor Eric Adams has officially endorsed former governor Andrew Cuomo. In a press conference held in Harlem on Thursday (October 23), Adams threw his support towards a former opponent who he once bitterly blamed for his poor showing in the race, with both hoping that Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani loses.

“Am I angry I’m not the one taking down Zohran, the socialist and communist? You’re darn right I am,” Adams said as he stood next to Cuomo outside of a housing development. “We’re fighting against a snake-oil salesman.” He went on to call Mamdani “the king of the gentrifiers” before addressing his past vitriol against Cuomo. “Brothers fight,” Adams stated, adding: “But when families are attacked, brothers come together.”

Adams had attacked Cuomo before he dropped out of the race as an independent candidate, saying that the former governor had “a career of pushing Black candidates out of races,” while Cuomo called Adams’ tenure a “never-ending series of government corruption.” But both had their barbs ready for Mamdani, with Cuomo again lobbing attacks on Mamdani for his critiques of Israel and equating them to antisemitism. “New York can’t be Europe, folks,” Adams said in his remarks. “I don’t know what is wrong with people. You see what’s playing out in other countries because of Islamic extremism.”Mamdani’s response to the endorsement was swift. “It’s no surprise to see two men who share an affinity for corruption and Trump capitulation align themselves at the behest of the billionaire class and the president himself,” he said in a statement, adding that “Andrew Cuomo is running for Eric Adams’ second term.” Mamdani has been heavily attacked by business executives who feel his policies would hurt the city, and by President Donald Trump who has vowed to remove federal funding if he were to be elected.

The 34-year-old Democratic Socialist holds a commanding lead over Cuomo and the Republican Party candidate, Curtis Sliwa. Cuomo, a moderate Demorcrat, is seeing a steady lead over Sliwa but has acknowledged that if Sliwa dropped out it would mean more moderate and Republicans would got select him. “The guy who called Andrew Cuomo a snake is now the snake charmer,” Sliwa said after hearing of the endorsement.

With his new album on the horizon, rapper Infinite Coles has released two new singles that have the web buzzing and speculating about his relationship with his estranged father, Ghostface Killah. But in a new interview, Coles has taken pains to state that there was no disrespect meant in either of the songs.

“It’s no disrespect at all,” he said in the interview with BET. “My dad told his story on ‘All That I Got Is You,’” referencing the duet track with Mary J. Blige from the Ironman album. “I’m just telling mine. What’s the difference? If something happened to him, I’d be devastated. And I know if something happened to me, he’d be devastated too,” Infinite continued. “I just want respect. He doesn’t have to accept me, but he can love me as his son.”

Infinite, who goes by the name SweetFace Killah, has spoken in the past about his estrangement from his famous father because of his queer identity and how it, along with other struggles, led him to truly focus on himself and his craft in 2020. “I was in a shelter during 2020 for a year,” he shared. “That was one of the hardest moments in my life. But that’s when everything started to shift. I had nothing but time to sit with myself. I started writing more, and I stopped caring about what people thought.”The self-titled album, which will be released December 5, reflects that growth, particularly in the singles “SweetFace Killah” and “Dad & I”. Both of those songs, with their respective videos, show a rapper who has some of the same prowess as their renowned parent but their own voice. “My writing got better, my voice got better, and I just became clear about what I wanted to say. I started speaking from my heart,” Infinite Coles said of his artistic growth. “I wasn’t trying to sound like nobody. I was just being me.” His hope is that he and Ghostface can “connect and understand” each other.

Today marks the 26th birthday of YoungBoy Never Broke Again (born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden), which makes it a fitting moment to reflect on his evolving legacy. Rising from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, YoungBoy quickly made his mark with a raw vulnerability, unmatched output, and distinct melodic-trap voice that echoes both pain and ambition. He’s built an extremely loyal fanbase in an era when streaming and YouTube views matter as much, or more, than traditional radio play. His hustle and consistency (dropping mixtapes, albums, videos and staying connected with fans) have made him one of the most durable voices in rap today.

In terms of impact, YoungBoy’s influence goes beyond just numbers. His very personal delivery, which is at times anguished and other times aggressive, helped elevate a style of rap that blends melody and Southern street stories. His songs often read like journal entries, and fans can connect with that type of authenticity. He’s also shown business savvy, running his own label (NeverBrokeAgain), and carving out independent paths in an industry that often demands artists to conform.

Some of his biggest tracks and accomplishments include the breakout single “Outside Today,” which helped him break into more mainstream consciousness. He’s also racked up multiple number one albums on the Billboard 200, which is extremely rare for an artist his age and without always relying on the major radio-push model. His impact on streaming (YouTube views, digital sales) is enormous and his ability to keep heavy output while maintaining relevance is truly special. For many up-and-coming artists, he stands as a blueprint.

YoungBoy is currently touring in support of his latest album. His MakeAmericaSlimeAgain Tour kicked off in September 2025 and spans dozens of arenas across the U.S. The tour is notable for being his first major headlining trek in several years, showing that he’s elevating his status from a streaming juggernaut to a full-blown arena headliner. His set-lists pull from across his catalog, highlighting how many albums and moods he’s built. For fans who’ve followed him from the early days, the tour is a milestone and a testament to his growth as an artist.

On this birthday, it’s clear that YoungBoy is at a crossroads of sorts. He’s broken through the proverbial superstar ceiling and is now consolidating his place as a heavyweight in hip-hop. With history behind him and plenty ahead, it’s the perfect time to revisit his studio albums and do our best to rank them. Let us know if you agree with our list and if not, drop your own rankings in the comment section. HAPPY 26TH BIRTHDAY TO YOUNGBOY!

1. Sincerely, Kentrell

Released while YoungBoy was behind bars, Sincerely, Kentrell stands as one of his most emotional and reflective projects. Despite his legal troubles, the album still debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, proving his connection with fans runs deep.

2. Top (2020)

This album marked YoungBoy’s leap into the mainstream. With hard-hitting street anthems and melodic cuts, Top showed off both his versatility and consistency, solidifying him as one of rap’s most dominant young stars.

3. The Last Slimeto (2022)

A long, ambitious project that highlights YoungBoy’s range and relentless work ethic. While it’s a bit uneven at times, it captures him experimenting with new sounds and styles while staying true to his raw storytelling roots.

4. Until Death Call My Name (2018)

His official debut album introduced the world to YoungBoy’s pain, hunger, and intensity. It’s the project that laid the foundation for his career and gave fans a glimpse of the artist he was destined to become.

5. I Rest My Case (2023)

His first release under Motown, I Rest My Case finds YoungBoy trying new directions and sounds. It’s a bold, creative step forward that may not please everyone, but it shows his willingness to evolve.

6. Don’t Try This At Home (2023)

This album delivered some standout moments and solid performances, but it didn’t quite reach the emotional depth of his strongest projects. Still, it showcased how effortlessly YoungBoy can flood the game with quality music.

7. I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders (2024)

True to its title, this album carries a heavier tone, revealing a more mature and introspective side of YoungBoy. It’s thoughtful and personal, even if it lacks some of the spark from his earlier releases.

8. MASA (2025)

His latest and most ambitious project to date, MASA features over 30 tracks that touch on fame, fatherhood, and faith. It’s big, bold, and full of energy! Although its size makes it a bit uneven at times, it’s a clear statement of where YoungBoy is currently in his young life.

It is clear Jim Jones isn’t easily impressed. When asked about The Clipse’s new music he made it clear he wasn’t a fan.

As spotted on HipHopDX Jim Jones was making his rounds at the 2025 BET Awards media room. During a sit down with Bootleg Kev, CAPO was asked about The Clipse’s new single “Ace Trumpets.” As expected he did not bite his tongue when it came to the Virginia duo. “What’s so great about it? It’s good in what? The nostalgic value of it? I don’t believe it. I don’t believe it, I don’t believe them” he explained. “But that’s a whole other story and I don’t wanna downplay nobody’s craft, but I don’t listen to their music and never have. I don’t recall too many records that I can remember.”

Jim Jones is no stranger to The Clipse. He and Pusha T have traded jabs over the last few years and it stems from Push’s ranking in a Billboard Magazine’s 50 greatest rappers list. “What has he done that puts him in the greatest rappers of all time? Besides talk about cocaine that he probably didn’t get himself. He could rap his ass off but what has he done?” Jim Jones responded when asked about it. “Nobody has dressed like him. Nobody want to be like Pusha T. I don’t remember nothing.”

It is widely believed the “Mercy” MC responded to Jim Jones in a song that was played during a 2023 Louis Vuitton fashion show. “Beware of my name, that there’s delegate / You know I know where you’re delicate / Crush you to pieces, I’ll hum a breath of it / I will close your heaven for the hell of it / You think it’d be valor amongst veterans/ I’m watching your fame escape relevance / We all in a room but here’s the elephant / You chasing a feature out of your element.”

You can see Jim Jones discuss The Clipse’s new music and more below.

Summer time is here and you know with that comes new music from some of your favorite artists and after weeks of teasing her new single, Cardi B has officially dropped “Outside” just in time for the heatwave that’s about to engulf the Northeast section of the U.S. in the coming days.

Produced by HeyMicki and Charlie Heat, “Outside” boasts an uptempo beat that allows Cardi to get in her bag and utilize different vocal tones and flows, and doesn’t hesitate to start the track by seemingly taking shots at her ex-hubby, Offset with bars like “When I tell you these n*ggas ain’t sh*t, please believe me/They gon’ f*ck on anything, these n*ggas way too easy/Good for nothing low down dirty dogs, I’m convinced/Next time you see ya mama tell her how she raised a b*tch.”

Yeah, Cardi might be taking a gang of subliminals at Offset in her next album. Just sayin.’

It should be interesting to see if Offset responds in kind with subliminal of his own, but to be fair, anytime we hear Cardi or Off talking down on the opposite sex in their songs in any way going forward, we’re just going to assume they’re talking about each other. It’s gotten to that level of pettiness.

Check out Cardi B’s “Outside” and let us know if this is something you’ll be bumping throughout the summer in the comments section below.

We are sad to report that former TV personality Ananda Lewis has passed away at the age of 52, following a brave six-year battle with breast cancer.

Her sister Lakshmi confirmed her passing on Facebook in a post shared on Wednesday, June 11.

“She’s free, and in His heavenly arms,” she wrote, alongside a series of broken heart emojis and a black and white portrait of Lewis. “Lord, rest her soul 🙏🏽”

Ananda Lewis spent decades in the public eye, carving her place as a respected media personality. Known for her intelligence, charisma, and authenticity, Lewis rose to fame in the late ’90s and early 2000s as a host on BET’s Teen Summit and later as a prominent VJ on MTV, hosting Total Request Live and Hot Zone.

Her work resonated particularly with young audiences, as she tackled social issues, music, and culture with depth and relatability. Lewis eventually hosted her own nationally syndicated talk show, The Ananda Lewis Show, solidifying her reputation as a skilled interviewer and advocate for meaningful dialogue.

Though her career in media flourished, Lewis stepped back from the spotlight to focus on personal interests, including carpentry and parenting. However, her most impactful role may have come in recent years as she opened up about her battle with breast cancer, a fight she revealed publicly in 2020.

Diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, Lewis shared that she had delayed regular mammograms, a decision she now warns against. Initially diagnosed in 2019, Lewis was advised to get a double mastectomy. She chose not to undergo the surgery, opting to take a more holistic approach.

Her candor about her diagnosis and treatment aimed to inspire others, particularly women of color, to take proactive steps for their health. “If I can help one woman avoid what I’m going through, it’ll be worth it,” she said in a heartfelt video posted on social media.

Unfortunately, in 2024, Lewis revealed in a CNN roundtable discussion that the cancer progressed to Stage 4.

“That scan showed that I had this kind of up my spine, through my hip, almost everywhere but my brain,” Lewis said during the roundtable discussion. “I’ve never been in pain like that in my life.”

“I don’t get afraid of things,” Lewis continued. “I was just like, ‘Fudge, man, I really thought I had this.’ I was frustrated. I was a little angry at myself.”

Ananda Lewis’ legacy extends far beyond her television career. Her openness about her health struggles and her unwavering commitment to educating others have made her a powerful voice in the fight against breast cancer. Through her honesty and resilience, Lewis inspired and empowered countless individuals, proving that her influence is as impactful as it is enduring.
