Scary news coming out of the wrestling world as it’s being reported that up and coming female WWE superstar, Zoey Stark suffered a scary injury in a recent match this past Monday night (May 19).

According to Newsweek, the incident occurred during her match on Monday night’s WWE Raw livestream on Netflix after Zoey attempted to land a missile dropkick on her opponent only to apparently land wrong and injure her knee in the process.

After landing wrong and laying on the ground in pain, the referee called on WWE ringside staff to check on the injured WWE star, but after failing to stand on her own, she was helped out the ring and carried to the back where she was further evaluated.

No word from the WWE on the severity of Stark’s injury but this isn’t the first time the wrestler has found herself in this scenario as Newsweek reports that “Stark has had knee issues in the past, requiring surgery in 2021 to repair a torn ACL, MCL, and Meniscus.”

Prayers up for Zoey Starks as we wish her a speedy recovery and return to the WWE ring.

Lyrical powerhouse Wale sat down for an in-depth conversation with MiAsia Symone, offering fans a rare glimpse into his life beyond the music. Known for his introspective style, the artist didn’t hold back about his personal growth, challenges, and optimism for the future.

Touching on mental health, Wale shared his current mindset, explaining, “I’m mentally aware. It’s more about empathy than anything.” Mental health has been a recurring theme in his work, and his empathy continues to fuel his creativity and personal connections.

Fatherhood has also played a pivotal role in shaping the rapper’s perspective. Speaking about parenting his 8-year-old daughter, Wale admitted, “It’s an emotional ride, for better or worse.” His love and respect for her individuality were evident as he added, “She’s so aware and smart. She’s learned how to talk her way through things without really lying. She gives me a run for my money.” Despite the challenges, he affirmed his co-parenting partnership, saying, “Her mom is a great mother, and they’re besties.”

With a new album on the horizon and his latest single, “Blanco,” hitting the airwaves, Wale reflected on his career highlights and struggles. Songs like “Lotus Flower Bomb” and mainstream hits like “No Hands” transformed his trajectory. “I don’t think a lot of people knew I could make records like that,” he noted, describing how “No Hands” became a pivotal moment for his career. Yet, he acknowledged the difficulties of navigating industry politics and recognition. “I’ve had so much success, but only one Grammy nomination. Something doesn’t add up,” he stated candidly.
Looking forward, his upcoming album promises depth and raw emotion. Wale revealed it explores themes like love, paranoia, and legacy. “I’ve put a lot of my heart into this, all the weight that’s been on me,” he said. Despite stepping away from trends, his fans remain his compass, trusting his authenticity and unique voice.
When asked about his ultimate goal, Wale kept it simple yet profound. “When it’s all said and done, I just want to be known for making great music.” That’s a legacy his loyal audience can stand behind.

Supreme will have to defend their name and authenticity to skate culture in a court of law. Tyshawn Jones is suing the brand for $26 million dollars in a defamation lawsuit.

As per High Snobiety, the pro skater alleges that the popular streetwear label wrongfully terminated his endorsement contract and more. On Monday (May 12), he filed a 41-page claim with the Manhattan Supreme Court. The documentation says that he had been a paid brand ambassador since the age of 11. His contract was abruptly ended in September 2024 because he posed for a Marc Jacobs photoshoot in August 2024. Jones says that not only was he “transparent and open” about his other modeling gigs but that Supreme leadership “did not express any objections” to him lending his likeness to other brands.

Additionally, the skate legend also says Supreme hurt his good name after they severed ties with him. “Doubling down on their bad faith and willful breach Supreme, through several statements both impermissible and false, has widely disparaged Tyshawn as a liability, a risk — someone no brand would want to affiliate or work with,” the filing reads. In an exclusive interview with the New York Post, Jones further detailed his reasons for the lawsuit. “I am saddened it has come to this, but I have a duty to myself and my career, and feel a responsibility to the next generation of skateboarders to stand up for what is right. Supreme’s success has been shaped in large part by the contributions of young talent, and I believe those contributions deserve to be respected.”

Supreme has yet to formally comment on the matter.

Lil Durk has been denied bond again as he waits for his upcoming murder-for-hire trial.

The rapper, whose real name is Durk Banks, went back to court on Thursday, May 8, hoping the judge would let him out on bond, but things didn’t go his way.

Durk’s legal team argued that the whole case should be thrown out, or at least that he should be released, because the prosecutors used fake evidence. They said the grand jury was shown Durk’s lyrics and fan-made social media posts, which they believe unfairly painted him as guilty. Still, the judge wasn’t convinced and decided Durk would stay locked up until his trial.

Durk’s team came with a serious bond package: $1 million in cash, $900,000 in real estate, support from other people willing to put up money, plus a promise that Durk would be on house arrest with 24/7 security watching him. But even with all that, the court said no. Now, Durk will stay in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Detention Center until his trial starts. The trial was supposed to begin in January but got pushed back to October 14. It’s a tough break for the rapper, who has stayed quiet about the case publicly but continues to say he’s innocent.

Even behind bars, Durk has stayed active in music. Earlier this year, he dropped a new album called Deep Thoughts, giving fans a raw look into his mindset during this difficult time.

Over the past few weeks Kodak Black has been more consistent with the visual work he’s been dropping off on the regular, and with the summer steadily approaching it seems like he’s heating up himself as he continues to stay on his grind and come through a new joint that his fans will appreciate.

Dropping off some new visuals to “Mayhem,” Kodak Black shows viewers how he’s been living these days as he hops on private jets to get to his next destination while rocking some ridiculously iced out pieces while stunting on balconies and sipping on some soda. It was an overcast and rainy day in NYC, but that didn’t stop Black Hollywood from shining at the 2025 Met Gala. The steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art were adorned with a black and floral print carpet that stretched from the sidewalk to the entrance, guiding the who’s who of fashion into the fashion event of the year. HelloBeautiful’s editorial director, Shamika Sanders, was on the carpet to talk to the likes of Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell, Law Roach, Ryan Coogler, Anna Wintour, Jazmine Sullivan, Coco Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Stevie Wonder, Ava Duvernay, Debbie Allen, and more.

The theme for the 2025 Met Gala was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” with a spotlight on men’s fashion and Black dandyism. It was a moment for fashion killas like Rocky, Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, and other fly guys to show off their sartorial styles.

For many of the fashionable attendees, it was about more than the labels they were wearing; many of them had sentimental accessories that held a significant meaning to them. Underneath Ryan Coogler’s Fear Of God suit was a locket with his wife and daughter’s picture in it. Colman Domingo wore blue to symbolize the waters that fueled the Transatlantic voyages and the first dandy’s love for the hue. Vogue EIC Anna Wintour wore a brooch gifted to her by Karl Lagerfeld.
And when it came to revealing who tailored their sense of style growing up, Issa Rae revealed her mother, mom of five, loved to put on her Sunday’s best to do just about anything. Pusha T revealed he was inspired by the rappers of his era, while Steffon Diggs reflected on having no choice but to be fly growing up in DC.
Accessories like du-rags, bedazzled fans, top hats, and grills were big on the carpet. But Rihanna sported the best accessory, revealing her baby bump on the carpet after arriving around 10pm. It was a night of Black excellence that has led to the Costume Institute raising the most money for an exhibition ever. Black people, we did that!

One of the biggest names in fashion will have to defend their name in court. Riccardo Tisci has been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a man.

Hypebeast is reporting that the esteemed designer has been hit with a lawsuit that claims he is predator. A man named Patrick Cooper says he met the former creative director of Burberry and Givenchy back in June of 2024 through a mutual friend. The three enjoyed a night out with food and drinks. While at Harlem hotspot 2 Sisters 4 Brothers, he believes Riccardo Tisci discreetly slipped a drug into his cocktail rendering him “unable to fight, stop or defend himself.” In an exclusive interview with the Independent he detailed his experience.

“I remember sipping the drink, and I don’t remember anything else,” Cooper explained. “To this day, I still don’t remember anything. Nothing.” Cooper went on to detail that the next thing he remembered was waking up in Tisci’s SoHo townhouse. “My intentions were never to end up in Riccardo Tisci’s bed. When I woke up, he was kissing me,” he added. Cooper says after gathering himself he went to the hospital for rape testing and filed a report with local New York City police.

Patrick reveals he contacted Tisci the next day and the designer claimed he didn’t remember him at all. “I sent the picture, and he goes, ‘I still don’t remember you,’” Cooper said. “I told him, ‘How do you not remember me? I was at your house.’ He goes, ‘Oh yeah, I remember you now. Nothing happened.’ I said, ‘I woke up naked.’ He said, ‘No, you had clothes on.’ And that’s when I knew.”

The Independent reached out to Riccardo Tisci for comment but he immediately hung up the phone. His agent Anne Nelson of United Talent Agency told the periodical “I regret to inform you that I cannot comment on any matters related to the pending litigation.” A representative from the NYPD provided no further details on the case. “The NYPD takes sexual assault and rape cases extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so we can perform a comprehensive investigation, and offer support and services to survivors.”

Riccardo Tisci is accused of assault, battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The theme is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. The culture will be on display this Monday, May 5, where the most fashionable celebs in the world gather on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC for the 2025 Met Gala. With a focus on Black Dandyism, men’s fashion will be center stage. And Anna Wintour honored this year’s co-chairs to the top men in fashion. All eyes will be on Pharrell, A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, and honorary co-chair, Lebron James, to set the bar for attendees. With only a few days til the Met Gala, we’re looking back at some of Rihanna and Cardi B’s Met Gala style evolution.

When it comes to literally shutting down the Met Gala, there are few celebrities who do it better, or are as highly-anticipated as Rihanna. Since 2007, RiRi has attended a staggering 10 Met Galas and stunned fashion fans worldwide each time with looks that further cemented her as one of the true fashionistas of our time.

Her intricate and regal golden Guy Pei gown from the 2015 event practically left fans gasping, as the long train flowed down the Met steps and allowed Rihanna to effortlessly steal the spotlight. In 2017, she opted for a sculpted Comme des Garcons look that was as intentional as it was bold, and as feminine as it was fierce. While pregnant in 2023, Rihanna proved that pregnancy couture is right up her alley in Chanel.
However, her most iconic look to grace the Met Gala so far was her 2018 interpretation of the Heavenly Bodies theme in her own take on Catholic fashion courtesy of Maison Margiela and John Galliano.

Cardi B doesn’t do anything on a small scale, and with her Met Gala debut in 2018, she quickly rose among the ranks of the fashion elite who always get it right and leave a lasting impression.
Generally favoring robust looks with long trains, coordinating headwear and opulent jewelry, Cardi has worn some of the fashion world’s biggest names to the Met Gala, including Jeremy Scott, Thom Browne, Versace, Miss Sohee, Chen Peng and Windowsen.

We know BardiGang can’t wait to see Cardi’s take on this year’s theme…and neither can we.

More than 100 attorneys with the Department of Justice‘s Civil Rights Division have resigned en masse, essentially, because they’d rather get new jobs than continue to serve a White House administration that is dedicated to perverting what civil rights protections are all about.

From Newsweek:

“No one has been fired by me … but what we have made very clear last week in memos to each of the 11 sections in the Civil Rights Division is that our priorities under President Trump are going to be somewhat different than they were under President Biden,” Harmeet Dhillon, the assistant attorney general for the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, told conservative commentator Glenn Beck during an appearance on his show at the weekend.

“And then we tell them, these are the President’s priorities, this is what we will be focusing on—you know, govern yourself accordingly. And en masse, dozens and now over 100 attorneys decided that they’d rather not do what their job requires them to do.”

Dhillon just basically towed Trump’s narrative around “woke ideology,” which, essentially, is anything related to racial justice, social justice, non-whitewashed American history, anti-racism, or anything else that gets white conservatives all in their eternally fragile feelings.

More from Newsweek:

The DOJ’s civil rights division, founded after the passage of the Civil Rights Act, initially focused on protecting the voting rights of Black Americans. But Congress later expanded its responsibilities to include protecting Americans from discrimination on the basis of race, national origin, sex, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and military status.

But Dhillion reportedly issued a series of memos earlier in April detailing the division would be focusing on priorities laid out in Trump’s executive orders, such as the participation of transgender athletes in women’s sports, combating antisemitism and ending diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

What neither Dhillion, President Donald Trump, nor anyone else in Trump’s abysmally incompetent Cabinet will admit is that the White House’s so-called civil rights agenda is all about returning America to a nation that protects practically no one except heterosexual, cisgendered, Christian identifying white people.

It’s why white American history and studies that cover and celebrate Western civilization are virtually the only teachings that have gone unaffected by Trump’s takeover of federally funded museums and arts institutions being purged of so-called “improper ideology.”

It’s why Trump, who, during his last campaign, pledged to fight fictitious anti-white oppression in America, is reportedly taking his cues from white lawyers who are unilaterally deciding how much Black history is too much history.

It’s why Trump’s factless anti-DEI propaganda has gotten so out of control that the Department of Justice recently ended a settlement agreement regarding wastewater issues in a mostly Black rural Alabama county, citing the White House’s anti-DEI directive, which, of course, has absolutely nothing to do with a court settlement.

It’s why the Trump administration is working so hard to fight against the rare occurrence of transwomen participating in women’s sports — which isn’t any of the federal governments’s business in the first place — while it also reportedly toys around with the idea of defunding specialized services for LGBTQ+ youth on the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

More than 100 attorneys left the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division because, under Trump, the DOJ no longer fights for civil rights — it fights to make white nationalism and the right-wing agenda great again. That’s it, and that’s all.

Sean “Diddy” Combs can claim a slight legal victory ahead of his explosive trial set to take place next week after a judge ruled that a forced labor claim wouldn’t be entered as evidence. Diddy’s legal team initially requested that some evidence be put aside, but it appears that the sex trafficking evidence will be entered.

TMZ reports that Diddy’s legal team’s request to have certain portions of evidence exempt from the upcoming trial was denied in part, with the judge in the hearing stating that prosecutors would not be able to argue over the forced labor claim.

The defense added in their request that prosecutors turned over their evidence too late, thus not giving the defense enough time to devise a countering strategy. However, prosecutors fired back and said that Diddy’s side had ample time and is attempting to hold up the trial.

Court documents reveal that prosecutors said that the request was “a transparent attempt to narrow the scope of the proof against him at trial by any means necessary, and to yet again make a last-ditch effort to secure an adjournment of trial.”

Diddy’s trial is set to begin on May 5.
