Over the weekend, a video darker than the Game of Thrones episode “The Long Night” hit timelines. In it, Travis Scott and Tyga supposedly exchange fists while in a nightclub in Cannes, France.
According to Variety, the “Goosebumps” crafter was not fighting his baby mama’s ex. Instead, he was getting physical with Cher’s current boyfriend and newest MAGA cult member, Amber Rose’s ex, Alexander Edwards.
Per Variety:
Early reports suggested the brawl involved rapper Tyga, although footage shared with Variety appears to show it was model and producer Alexander “A.E.” Edwards, Cher’s boyfriend and Tyga’s friend, and allegedly Scott who were throwing most of the punches. Sources close to the situation say American record producer Southside was also seen pushing Edwards, which is what possibly led to the escalation of the fight between Scott and Edwards.
The website contacted representatives for Edwards, Scott, and Southside but did not receive an immediate response.

Tyga Did Not Throw Any Punches
While many initially believed Tyga was involved in the altercation, Variety confirms he did not throw a punch. He and his buddy A.E. did not leave until early morning and were not seriously harmed.
As for Scott, he is no stranger to throwing hands at nightclubs.
About a year ago, Scott was involved in an altercation with a 52-year-old man during an afterparty Don Toliver was hosting at a New York nightclub.
Just a few weeks ago, Scott and event promoter Live Nation settled a majority of the ten wrongful death lawsuits that came after ten people were killed at his Astroworld Festival.
Scott has settled the remaining lawsuit set to go to trial, with jury selection taking place on May 8.
X Users Are React To Travis Scott & Tyga Being At Cannes
Once the fight video hit timelines, confusion was common among users on X, formerly Twitter, specifically because Tyga, Travis Scott, A.E., and Southside were in Cannes during a film festival.

Fair question.

Tyga is seeking sole custody of his son, King Cairo.
Spotted on E! News, Michael Stevenson, aka Tyga, wants to be the sole guardian of the son he shares with “reborn” Blac Chyna.
Per E! News:
The rapper—real name Michael Stevenson—filed court papers in Los Angeles Oct. 13 requesting legal and physical custody of the 11-year-old, who he shares with ex Blac Chyna.

In the document obtained by E! News, Tyga asked the court to give Chyna child visitation rights—specifically, that she get time with King every Friday after school to Sunday at 5 p.m.
As for holidays, he asked that their schedule be determined in accordance to “the parties’ mutual agreement.”
Blac Chyna, oops, we mean, Angela Renée White responded to the filing, telling E! News in a statement she was “shocked.”
“I have always respected him as King’s father and know that we both love him very much and want nothing but the best for him,” Chyna said to E! News. “I never imagined that Michael would want to alienate me or distance me from King and strategically push me out of his life.
She continues, “I do not know where all of this is coming from. It’s all very sad and definitely not what is best for King. In a perfect world, Michael and I would be supportive, loving co-parents equally involved in King’s life.”
Blac Chyna Filed For Joint Custody Earlier In The Year
Before Tyga dropped his filing, White filed for joint custody on July 24 to “determine parental relationship” with the “Rack City” rapper.
Tyga responded to Chyna’s filing, hopping in The Shaderoom’s comment section, writing, “10 years later…nah…stick to ur schedule sat-mon.”
In a May 18 episode of the *sarcastic voice* groundbreaking podcast, Caresha Please, Chyna revealed that she communicated with Tyga “through the nannies.”
We hope these two can get their acts together for the sake of their son.

Nobody had Tyga and Avril Lavigne dating on their 2023 bingo cards.
Well, this is something no one saw coming, Tyga and Avril Lavigne being a thing. The two musicians confirmed their romance with a kiss while at the Mugler X Hunter Schafer Party during Paris Fashion Week on Monday, March 6.
According to TMZ, the couple was holding hands when they arrived at the bash after rumors began swirling of them possibly dating after being spotted together in Los Angeles and Paris, which also happens to be the same place Lavigne’s ex, Mod Son popped the question to her.
The celebrity gossip site also saw Lavigne and the OnlyFans content creator/rapper grabbing dinner at the swanky seafood spot NOBU and hugging in the parking lot.
The “Complicated” singer gave Mod Son the boot in February, a year after he put a ring on it, TMZ exclusively reported.  According to sources, their relationship was off and on before moving on from him.
Following the confirmation of the swirling, Twitter’s reaction to the news has been utter confusion and shock. “Tyga and Avril Lavigne was not on my Bingo card,” one Twitter user said, and we totally understand.

“Tyga dating Avril Lavigne is the most random thing.. What..” another Twitter user wrote and sentiments we can totally get behind.
Before linking up with the Pop-Punk music star, Tyga has been romantically linked to Blac Chyna, with whom he shares a child, Kendall Jenner, and Camaryn Swanson.
We are intrigued to see how long this relationship lasts.

Avril Lavigne seems to have already moved on following her recent breakup from fiancé Mod Sun.

The “Girlfriend” punk-pop princess was seen kissing Tyga at the Mugler X Hunter Schafer Party during Paris Fashion Week on Monday (March 6). The two also held hands on their way into the bash, according to photos shared by TMZ. The publication also previously reported the duo eating dinner together at Nobu restaurant in Malibu, California.

On Feb. 28, Mod Sun addressed the split from Lavigne on Instagram. “In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken,” he wrote alongside a carousel of photos and videos posted to his Instagram feed. His caption did not specifically mention Lavigne, but Billboard can confirm it is about their split. “Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back. See you on stage.”

Rumors of their breakup first began the week before. The two musicians first struck up their relationship when they released “Flames,” a single appearing on Mod Sun’s album Internet Killed the Rockstar, after Machine Gun Kelly introduced them.

Lavigne announced her engagement to Mod Sun in an April 2022 Instagram post, revealing that he popped the big question in Paris just outside the Eiffel Tower. “Oui! Je t’aime pour toujours,” she wrote, which translates to “I love you always,” alongside a black and white photo of the musician down on one knee. “Dimanche. 27. Mars. 2022.”

The combined might of Tyga, Jhene Aiko and the late Pop Smoke yields a new No. 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart with their collaboration, “Sunshine.” The song jumps from No. 4 to lead the list dated Dec. 17 after a 7% jump in weekly plays that made it the most-played song on U.S. monitored rhythmic radio stations in the week ending Dec. 11, according to Luminate.

“Sunshine” gives Tyga his fifth Rhythmic Airplay No. 1, and first time with multiple champs in the same calendar year. The rapper first led through a featured spot on Chris Brown’s “Loyal” (two weeks, 2014), his own “Taste,” featuring Offset (four, 2018), “Chosen,” with Blxst and featuring Ty Dolla $ign (three, 2021) and “Freaky Deaky,” with Doja Cat (one, 2022).

Jhene Aiko collects her fourth career champ. All three of her previous chart-toppers, a guest turn alongside Chris Brown on Omarion’s “Post to Be” in 2015, her own “B.S.” featuring H.E.R. and another supporting spot on Saweetie’s “Back to the Streets” in 2021, all ruled for one week.

The late Pop Smoke, meanwhile, extends his Rhythmic Airplay history to a third No. 1 and third consecutive year with a leading title. He first reigned with “For the Night,” featuring Lil Baby and DaBaby, for five weeks in 2020-21, and returned to the summit with the four-week champ “What You Know Bout Love” in 2021. The latter wrapped 2021 as the Rhythmic Airplay’s top title on the year-end ranking.

“Sunshine” also brings a former 18-year-old champ back into the fray through its sample. The Tyga, Aiko and Pop Smoke track samples the Lil Flip and Lea collaboration of the same name, which topped the Rhythmic Airplay list for one week and reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2004.

As “Sunshine” lights up Rhythmic Airplay, it continues a parade of new No. 1s on the chart. The song is the fifth new leader in the last five weeks, following the one-week reigns, in order, of Doja Cat’s “Vegas,” YG’s “Toxic,” Chris Brown’s “Under the Influence,” and Beyoncé’s “Cuff It.” The last multi-week champ was Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl,” which strung together a three-week nonconsecutive run on top in October-November. Between Minaj’s second and third weeks in charge, two more songs managed single-week stays at No. 1: DJ Khaled’s “Staying Alive,” featuring Drake and Lil Baby, and Steve Lacy’s “Bad Habit.”

The current turnover is the most since a run of six straight new No. 1s in five weeks in June – July 2019. Then, Khalid’s “Talk” started a procession that included City Girls’ “Act Up,” Travis Scott’s “Wake Up,” Lil Baby’s “Close Friends,” Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” and Chris Brown’s “No Guidance,” featuring Drake. The lattermost title broke the streak with a second consecutive week on top. (“Truth Hurts” later also returned to the summit for an additional two weeks.)

Elsewhere, “Sunshine” pushes 8-5 on the Rap Airplay chart with a 3% increase in weekly audience and repeats at No. 22 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay list through a 3% boost in weekly plays at the format. Thanks to those placements and its rhythmic success, the song debuts at No. 45 on the all-genre Radio Songs chart. There, it climbed 11% to 18.9 million in overall audience.
