You don’t have to rely on ESPN to give you coverage of the 2024 PGA Tour — the Golf Channel offers everything from the latest tour news to live tournament coverage, highlights, stats, predictions and results. Plus, you’ll get a live feed of major events like the Masters Tournament and the U.S. Open. Since the Golf Channel is a division of NBC Sports though, fans without cable are left with limited viewing options.

Stars: they’re just like us. In that we all have old social posts that we would probably like the world to forget, especially when they resurface at the worst possible time. That was the dilemma faced by award-winning The Bear star Ayo Edebiri, who found herself in hot water earlier this year when, on the eve of her first hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, some unflattering comments she’d made four years earlier about the night’s musical guest, Jennifer Lopez, were revived to her mortification.

The Golden Globe- and Emmy-winning Bottoms actress addresses the rumors of tension on the set during the February episode in a new Vanity Fair cover story in which she throws cold water on the suggestion that her years-old Lopez diss caused issues on the episode. “That would be like Mr. Bean and Mick Jagger beefing,” Edebiri told the magazine about the power imbalance between her and the global pop superstar/actress. “And I’m obviously Mr. Bean. She’s J.Lo!”

For a refresher, the former stand-up comedian said, “I was actually thinking about one of my favorite scams of all time because J.Lo is performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Her whole career is one long scam,” during an episode of the 2020 Scam Goddess podcast. To prove there was no ill-ill, she made fun of the dug-up comment that night on SNL in a sketch.
“It’s wrong to leave mean comments or post comments just for clout — or run your mouth on a podcast and you don’t consider the impact because you’re 24 and stupid,” Edebiri joked in the bit titled “Why’d You Say It.”
“She was very chill and nice about it,” Edebiri told VF.
In a Variety story a few days after SNL, Lopez laughed the whole thing off, saying, “I’ve heard similar things said about me throughout my career, so it really didn’t affect me.”
Lopez told a reporter that the actor had apologized before the episode, adding that Edebiri was, “mortified and very sweet. She came to my dressing room and apologized with tears in her eyes, saying how terrible it was that she had said those things. She felt really badly and loved my performance because we had just done my soundcheck and she actually got to hear me perform. She was just like, ‘I’m so f–king sorry; it was so awful of me.’”
Though it likely made for an awkward week, Edebiri told VF that it didn’t ruin her long-held dream of taking her place on the SNL stage. “SNL is something that in my bones, I dreamed of as a comedian, as a young kid. That to me is a pinnacle of success,” she said.

In addition to appearances from Lambert, Guyton and Chenoweth, the program will feature commentary by Akbar Gbajabiamila (American Ninja Warrior and The Talk) and Mark Shunock (Top Rank Boxing) with Alexa Landestoy (NHL Network) reporting rinkside.
The Stanley Pup will broadcast in the United States on the NHL Network and on ESPN+ on Friday, June 7, at 8 p.m. ET and on Sportsnet for fans in Canada on Saturday, June 8, at 6:30 p.m. ET. (Airdates and times are subject to change based on the schedule for the 2024 Stanley Cup Final.)
Producer and animal advocate Michael Levitt, who has worked on rescue-themed projects including American Rescue Dog Show and All-Star Dog Rescue Celebration, will produce the show alongside NHL Chief Content Officer Steve Mayer and NHL Vice President of production and creative development Matt Nicholson for NHL Productions, while Aimee Brillhart and Mark Shunock will executive produce. National nonprofit Petco Love will provide dogs for the competition through their shelter partners around the country.
“At the NHL, we love supporting great causes and the opportunity to produce a program that finds homes for rescue dogs is so fulfilling,” Mayer said in a statement. “The show promises to be great fun and we can’t wait for our participating puppies Nathan McKibble, Joe Pawvelski, Alexander O-fetch-kin and many more to hit our Stanley Pup rink.”
“I’m so proud to launch this canine sporting spectacular with the NHL, and so grateful for their passion in supporting adoption. The show is sure to be the biggest night of the year for dog-loving hockey fans,” Levitt added. “The cuteness overload is going to be off the charts! I can’t wait to show viewers how special rescue dogs are and how profoundly they enhance our lives when we welcome them into our families.”
The canine talent in the game showcases the variety of dogs available for adoption around the country. “We are honored that the NHL will spotlight these all-star pups,” Petco Love President Susanne Kogut added. “Everyone can be a champion in the life of a pet. When you adopt a pet from your local shelter, everyone wins!”
Lambert is well-known for her love and advocacy for animals through her work launching the MuttNation Foundation, which she and her mother, Bev, launched in 2009. The donation-supported 501c(3) nonprofit organization has raised nearly $10 million to support its mission to promote the adoption of shelter pets. Lambert also launched the MuttNation Fueled by Miranda Lambert pet line of toys and supplies, which is available exclusively at Tractor Supply Company and benefits the foundation. Chenoweth has also been an official spokesperson with the organization Remember Me Thursday, which advocates for pet adoption.
