After privately mourning the loss of his partner and mother of his three children, Jacky Oh, Wild ‘N Out star DC Young Fly posted a loving tribute on Thursday (June 8) to the fellow Wild cast member who died unexpectedly on May 31st of as-yet-undisclosed causes.
“I wasn’t in no rush to post this because I wanted it to be a dream so bad but every hour I’m reminded of realty so I wanna make sure I applaud you in the proper manner,” Young Fly (born John Whitfield,” said of Oh (born Jacklyn Smith), who was 32 years-old.
“You are the GREATEST MOTHER I KNOW your soul was beautiful Yu always wanted the best for others and I admired how our family love each other!!! Never had to worry about our kids loving each other cause you were on top of Dat!!!”
TMZ was first to report the news of Oh’s passing, revealing that Smith died in Miami and the Young Fly was in Atlanta shooting new episodes of the show when he heard the news of her death. Oh was one of the “Wild ‘N Out girls” on the Nick Cannon-created MTV series, where she met Young Fly, with whom she shared daughters Nova and Nala and son Prince, who was born in 2022.
“You kno we GOD fearing and we are grounded by the spirit🙏🏾🙏🏾 we never question the HIGHER POWER 🙅🏾♂️we roll wit the punches and continue to live righteous 💪🏾 will always tell our kids how much an amazing person you were especially a GREAT MOTHER!!!” Young Fly continued. “You know how our last convo went 🥺 I prayed for Yu and now we are here..”

BET confirmed Oh’s passing in an Instagram post last week, which read, “We, the BET family, extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Jacky Oh and DC Young Fly. We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild N’ Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed. If imitation is truly the sincerest form of flattery, then Lily-Rose Depp is loving everything Chloe Fineman is doing. The star of the controversial HBO music biz drama The Idol proclaimed herself a big fan of the master SNL impressionist’s take on the series’ chain-smoking, micro-bikini-wearing protagonist, Jocelyn after Fineman posted a killer clip sending up the show’s dark vibe.
“I’m loling 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ….. and ur makeup looks bomb,” Depp wrote in comments on a clip Fineman posted on Thursday (June 8) in which she mocks Jocelyn’s copious cig-smoking habit and the (spoiler alert) final image from the pilot of the troubled pop star’s head enveloped inside a red scarf.
“My audition for THE IDOL (must have got lost in the mail),” Fineman captioned the clip she made in the midst of the Hollywood writer’s strike that has put SNL — and everything scripted in TV and movies — on ice. “Music should sound like a slut, or a whore,” Fineman says in her finest disaffected vaguely Valley Girl accent as Jocelyn while puffing on four skinny cigarettes and wearing a frilly red robe in a sharp send-up of the show’s firmly male-gaze vibe.
“Anyway, I met this guy last night, his name is Tedros… he was dressed in a bat cave, but I think he’s gonna, like, change my career,” Chloe-as-Jocelyn confesses about The Weeknd‘s (who now goes by his given name, Abel Tesfaye) creepy, duster-wearing cult-leader character in the HBO series that debuted last weekend.
In a brilliant spoof of the final scene from episode one — in which Tedros convinces Jocelyn to put a red scarf over her head, secured by tying a belt around her neck as a prompt to find her truest, sexiest voice — the mock Tedros says, “now sing like you can f–k!”
That’s all the motivation Fineman needs to belt Cher’s “Believe,” while polishing off four more smokes and doubling down on the Tedros’ mandatory sex quotient, saying, “music should sound like it’s poly, or bi… like music doesn’t have a gender, it just f–ks, you know?” She then screeches Natasha Bedingfield’s “Pocket Full of Sunshine” and Jewel’s “Hands” from beneath the scarf before slipping into something way less comfortable — Jocelyn’s barely-there bikini — for a hilarious run through the choreo for “the song I hate.”
As promised, Tesfaye — a co-creator of the series — dropped two more songs from its soundtrack on Friday (June 9), Jocelyn’s vapid-on-purpose, good-girl-gone-freaky single “World Class Sinner/I’m a Freak” (aka the song she “hates”) and the ominous score piece “The Lure.”
Those songs follow on the heels of “Double Fantasy,” featuring Future and produced by Mike Dean and “Popular,” featuring Madonna and Playboi Carti.

Michael Grimm could use some positive thoughts sent his way. The America’s Got Talent season five winner was recently hospitalized and placed on a ventilator with a severe unknown illness that’s wreaking havoc on his mind and body, according to a video posted by his wife, Lucie Zolcerva-Grimm.
“I know you all love Michael and while I want to protect his privacy and his request to not disclose anything, we’re kind of in a situation,” she began, tearing up at times, in a long update shared Tuesday (June 6) on Michael’s Instagram page. “It’s been an emotional ride.”
“You may have noticed that he was struggling with his health a lot, lacking energy and not being able to fulfill shows,” Lucie continued, revealing that during Memorial Day weekend, her husband’s mystery condition kicked into high gear.
Over the holiday, Lucie said, Michael began looking sickly and had trouble lifting his head or responding to conversation, experiencing tremors and eventually speaking “gibberish.” He was rushed to the ICU and placed on a ventilator, heavily sedated so that he wouldn’t stroke out or flatline.
“The doctors were finally able to remove the ventilator today, and he is breathing on his own,” Lucie said. “However, due to the last week, his body went through a lot. They do still have him sedated so he doesn’t seize or flatline from the fluctuating blood pressure.”
“We don’t know what’s wrong,” she added. “My priority right now is to stand by Michael.”
To fans wanting to help the family, Lucie encouraged people to send supportive letters to Michael and provided information on how to donate money toward his medical expenses. “I’m asking all the fans to be patient, please,” she said. “Keep Michael in their prayers, in their minds and their hearts.”
The 44-year-old singer-guitarist was the fifth ever AGT winner, taking the prize in 2010. At the time, he revealed that it was then-girlfriend Lucie who inspired his winning finale performance of Percy Sledge’s “When a Man Loves a Woman.” One day after winning, Michael proposed to Lucie on Ellen, and they’ve been married since 2011.

Mitch Rossell loves country music, he loves his dad even more.
The 35-year-old America’s Got Talent contestant stepped into the spotlight for the latest round of auditions, but did so without his much-loved father, who passed away years earlier when a drunk driver took his life. His grandfather and grandmother-in-law also perished in the “freak accident,” Rossell explained in his pre-recorded introduction.
A challenging few years followed. Sometime later, when clarity returned, Rossell decided he’d find a connection to his late dad by learning the guitar. “It was the only thing he ever really asked me to do. I felt like I was kinda making him proud.”

Rossell’s performance Tuesday night (June 6) on AGT would’ve made his dad proud, too.
The East Tennessee native, now a father himself, performed an original song, a tearjerker, a personal story, a letter of love to his late dad.
When he strummed his final note, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room, or anyone left sitting in their seat.
“You wrote a beautiful song there,” Heidi Klum remarked. “I feel like everyone in this room was feeling everything you were singing.”
Added Howie Mandel, “the words and the emotion that you sing with, you know, as a father also, I have three kids and the world revolves around you. What a great sentiment, what beautiful words, such simple brilliance.”
Sofia Vergara chimed in, “That was spectacular, your voice was amazing, the song was amazing.”
Simon Cowell admitted he “loved every part of that” – the voice, song. “It was a compliment you could hear a pin drop during the entire performance. And it was sincere. I really really think people are going to connect with you, the song. This was a great audition. Brilliant.”
Rossell has worked with some of Nashville’s finest in recent years, and, earlier, confessed to the AGT judges that his ultimate dream was to “reach my potential. Playing stadiums or something. That’d be amazing.”
He can keep dreaming. Rossell scored four yeses from the judges and progresses in this 18th season.

It’s shaping up as a golden season of America’s Got Talent, if the early action is anything to go by.
As the second week of auditions rumbled on Tuesday night (June 6), armchair viewers everywhere were introduced to Putri Ariani, a gifted teenage singer from Indonesia. It wasn’t so much an introduction, but a lesson in pure talent.
The 17-year-old is blind, an obstacle she overcomes when she’s performing. “When I’m singing I feel like a superstar,” she said in the preamble.

Putri chose the right reason, and the right time to make her first trip to America. “My dream is to become the biggest diva in the world, like Whitney Houston, and win a Grammy Award,” she told the audience. “I hope I can win America’s Got Talent so I can reach my dream.”
With her parents watching on in the wings, the youngster kept the dream alive with a performance of an original song. Playing the piano, Putri melted hearts with her ballad, which she balanced with perfect-pop tones, vocal maturity and unreal control.
As the crowd roared to its feet, Simon Cowell leapt from his chair, headed for the stage and introduced himself to Putri. At his request, “because he enjoyed Putri’s voice so much,” she performed a second song, “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word.” The contestant dedicated the Elton John and Bernie Taupin classic to Cowell.
There could be no doubt: the kid has got it.
“My god,” is how Cowell summed it up. He spoke for everyone, as the crowd stood as one and applauded.
There were tears on stage, and off it, as Sofia Vergara remarked “we were all mesmerized by you. Your voice, you’re an angel.”
Howie Mandel followed up, “a lot of people don’t believe in angels, but I think one just landed on our stage. You’re a superstar.”
“You sounded so beautiful tonight,” remarked Heidi Klum.
As usual, Cowell saved his thoughts for last. “I think we’re all feeling the same thing,” he explained. “You’re 17, you write songs, you’ve got an amazing distinctive voice, and I mean really, really good. You have a kind of a glow about you.”
There was a glow coming from the rafters, too, as Cowell triggered the Golden Buzzer. It’s the second glittering prize in as many weeks, following South Africa’s Mzansi Youth Choir’s inspired tribute to the late AGT album, Nightbirde.

From the release of – (Subtract), his sixth studio album, to his brand new song for the Ted Lasso series finale, Ed Sheeran has been omnipresent this year.
