Anitta Reveals NSFW Item Thrown at Her Onstage & Talks Hottest Man in Music on ‘WWHL’

Several musicians’ concerts have made news after fans threw items at them, with cell phones and the ashes of a loved one being some of the objects. But when it comes to Anitta, the one of the oddest items thrown at her also happens to be NSFW.

The Brazilian star appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Monday (July 10), where the television personality asked her a series of probing questions that got her occasionally squirming in the hot seat.

“People throw things at people all the time on stage. What’s the wildest item that’s been thrown at you?” Cohen inquired, to which Anitta replied, “I think a toy or lube.”

Cohen also probed about male artists who the “Envolver” singer finds attractive, which made her play coy. “Anitta, who to you is the hottest male pop star in the game right now?” he asked.

“Let me try to pick someone single so maybe in the future something happens. Just ask the people to throw some single names,” she responded. After Cohen suggested John Mayer, Anitta was in agreement, “Oh, that’s amazing. That’s a good name.”

Elsewhere during her appearance, Anitta was asked who the most famous person in her cell phone is (one of the defining pop stars of the ’80s), if she has ever engaged in threesomes (multiple) and whether she had ever singled out attractive concertgoers of hers to bring backstage (yes, often with the assistance of her friends).

However, Rapp’s departure won’t be a sudden one, as her character Leighton Murray will appear as a recurring guest star as she gears up to leave Essex College. During the second season, Leighton came out to her father and quit her sorority.

Following news that she’ll be leaving the show, the 23-year-old musician took to social media to reflect on how the show changed her life and career. “College Girls moved me out to LA and introduced me to some of my favorite people,” she wrote in a statement. “2 and a half years later — it’s given me y’all and this community.”

She continued, “A lot of queer work gets belittled — but playing Leighton has changed my life. I love who I am 10x more than I did before knowing her. I hope she gave y’all a little bit of that too. She’s such a tiny part of representation but even the tiny parts count. I wouldn’t be half the person I am without her and y’all. I love that b—- more than you know.”

It’s been an exciting few years for Rapp, who signed to Interscope Records in 2022 and has since released a debut EP, Everything to Everyone. She’s gearing up to release her first full-length LP, Snow Angel, on August 18. Rapp also played Regina George in the Broadway adaptation of Mean Girls, and she’ll reprise the role in the upcoming film version.

On Monday (July 10), Smith took to their Instagram to share that they are the final celebrity guest set to join the already star-studded Barbie soundtrack. “Man I Am,” Smith’s take on a Barbie-related anthem, is set to debut on Friday, July 21, alongside the film and soundtrack.

“I cannot begin to express how incredibly excited I am to be a part of the soundtrack to this already iconic film,” Smith wrote on their Instagram before sharing just a little bit of what fans can expect from their new song. “I was invited by the incredible @iammarkronson and Greta Gerwig to write a song from the perspective of Ken for one of the scenes and we honestly had so much fun with this. I cannot wait for you to hear what we’ve created together.”

Smith joins a bevy of stars on the upcoming album — Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, FIFTY FIFTY, Karol G and Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice have already released their contributions to the album, while further songs are still set to debut, including ones from Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Haim, Dominic Fike, PinkPanthress and many more.

The news comes amid a busy time for Smith. Along with continuing their Gloria world tour, the singer released their hotly anticipated single with Madonna, “Vulgar,” in earlky June. “Man I Am” also doesn’t mark the last fans will be hearing from Smith in the near future — the star teased an upcoming single with Calvin Harris titled “Desire,” while they are also set to appear on a “lusty duet” with Anitta on her upcoming new album.

Ryan Gosling Laments Being ‘Always No. 2’ in ‘Barbie’ Song ‘I’m Just Ken’: Watch

He’s just Ken, and he has a song to share with the world. In the latest preview for the highly anticipated Barbie movie, Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling belts out his character’s de facto theme song, “I’m Just Ken.”

In the Great Gerwig-helmed film, Gosling plays Ken to Margot Robbie’s Barbie, as the two dolls grapple with the existential adventures of the real world. “I’m just Ken/ Anywhere else, I’d be a 10/ Is it my destiny to live and die / a life of blond fragility,” Gosling croons, lamenting about how he’s “always No. 2.” The new song soundtracks a teaser in which a legion of Kens, including some portrayed by Simu Liu and Ncuti Gatwa, follow Gosling’s Ken as he performs the power ballad.

“I’m Just Ken” is just the latest example of how music is an intrinsic part of the upcoming Barbie film. Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night,” which has thus far peaked at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100, soundtracks a massive dance party scene, and the film’s soundtrack has already spawned a top 10 hit on the Hot 100 with Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice and AQUA’s “Barbie World.”

Executive produced by Mark Ronson, Barbie The Album is also set to feature songs from Lizzo, Fifty Fifty, Kaliii, Ava Max, Haim, Tame Impala, The Kid Laroi, Khalid, Gayle and more. On Thursday (July 6), Oscar and Grammy winner Billie Eilish revealed that she was one of the surprise artists on the soundtrack. Co-written with her older brother and go-to collaborator FINNEAS, her contribution to the album is titled “What Was I Made For?

Barbie is not the first time Gosling has blended music and acting. In the early ’90s, the Barbie star was a child actor on Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Club alongside fellow child performers Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake. In 2017, he earned his second career Academy Award nomination for best actor in a leading role for his acclaimed performance in Damien Chazelle’s movie musical La La Land.

Billie Eilish Teases ‘What Was I Made For’ in ‘Barbie’ Film Promo

Billie Eilish revealed just days ago that she’s joined the star-studded list of artists contributing to the Barbie soundtrack, and the 21-year-old superstar teased her emotionally driven track in a short teaser clip posted to Instagram on Monday (July 10).

In the 30-second promotional video, a voice is heard telling Barbie, played by Margot Robbie, to “take my hand, close your eyes, now, feel.” A soft, melancholy piano melody plays in the background before Eilish is heard singing the title of the track, “What Was I Made For.”

“absolutely over the MOOOOON excited for you to see this,” she captioned the post. See the clip here.

“What Was I Made For” is slated for a July 13 release and features contributions from Eilish’s Grammy-winning older brother, FINNEAS.

Executive produced by Academy Award-winning songwriter and producer Mark Ronson, the Barbie soundtrack is set to feature songs from some of contemporary pop’s biggest and brightest stars, such as Lizzo, Fifty Fifty, Kali, Gayle, Khalid, Haim and Ava Max. A slew of singles have already been released from the soundtrack, including two that have reached the Billboard Hot 100: Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night” (No. 31) and Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice and AQUA’s “Barbie World” (No. 7).

Barbie hits theaters on July 21.

If it’s anything like previous Crocs collaborations, you can expect these to sell out fast. But resale retailers such as StockX and Ebay will most likely have pairs up for grabs if that’s the case.

Crocs took to Instagram on Friday (July 7) to announce the new release and tease the new collaboration.

In the video, you see a pair of platform hot-pink Crocs featuring a glitter sole, light pink upper with the Barbie logo and Barbie-themed Jibbitz charms, including a shimmery pink disco ball. And of course, it sits in front of the iconic Barbie Dreamhouse.

Nicki Minaj Rejected Several Songs She ‘Didn’t Love’ Before Choosing ‘Barbie World’ With Ice Spice

Of course, OG Barb Nicki Minaj was going to be a part of the new Barbie movie, but that doesn’t mean that she was going to hop on just any song that came her way. As she graced the pink carpet for the world premiere of Barbie on Sunday (July 9), Minaj spilled some tea about the process behind her and Ice Spice’s collaboration for the film’s soundtrack.

“There were a couple songs that I didn’t love,” Minaj revealed to Entertainment Tonight. “This ‘Barbie’ sample, I loved it. I just wanted it to have a dope drum, and so the one that they sent me, I loved! And I jumped on it right away.” The song in question was “Barbie World,” a collaboration with New York rapper Ice Spice that featured production contributions from RiotUSA and a sample of AQUA’s seminal “Barbie Girl.”

The rapper also called her inclusion in the project a “very full circle moment.” “I’ve been saying ‘Barbie’ my whole career,” she told ET.

“Barbie World” is currently the highest charting song from the Barbie soundtrack. The song debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Minaj’s 23rd top 10 hit and Ice Spice’s fourth. The soundtrack single also marks the second collaboration between the two artists; the pair linked up earlier this year for a remix of Ice’s “Princess Diana,” which peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100.

In addition to Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice, the soundtrack for the Greta Gerwig-helmed film also boasts a slew of pop music’s biggest and brightest stars. Executive produced by Grammy and Oscar winner Mark Ronson, Barbie The Album is set to feature contributions from Dua Lipa, Ryan Gosling, Billie Eilish, Karol G, Lizzo, Khalid, Gayle, Fifty Fifty, Kaliii, Haim, Tame Impala, Charli XCX and more.

Dua Lipa rolled up to the Barbie world premiere in a dress you definitely wouldn’t see any Mattel doll wearing in the toy aisle.

The 27-year-old pop star, who plays Mermaid Barbie in the highly anticipated Greta Gerwig flick, looked stunning in a sheer, metallic silver gown on the pink carpet at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall Sunday (July 9). Underneath, she wore … well, not much. Other than a pair of white undies, Lipa was bare from chest down.

The “Levitating” singer also shared photos and videos from the event on her Instagram, giving fans allll the angles of the NSFW look. “?BARBIE PREMIERE? LOS ANGELES ? @barbiethemovie @barbiethealbum ?,” wrote Lipa, who contributed an original song called “Dance the Night” to the Barbie soundtrack.

Also on the pink carpet Sunday were fellow soundtrack contributors Nicki Minaj, Ava Max, HAIM and Billie Eilish — the latest musician to join the project with upcoming single “What Was I Made For.” And of course, the film’s main stars Margot Robbie, who plays Barbie, and Ryan Gosling, aka leading man Ken, were present as well, with Robbie decked out in a glamorous vintage look replicated from a real 1960s Barbie doll.

On Thursday’s episode (July 6), the two attempt to figure out the tension surrounding Kim’s Dolce & Gabbana partnership with the same fashion house that designed Kourtney’s wedding.

Kourtney claimed that she chose D&G for her wedding because it “felt really authentic to me,” but Kim went on the defensive for the ongoing conversation on who copied who, calling out similarities between Kourt’s wedding to Travis Barker and her own 2014 nuptials to Kanye West.

“I got married in Italy. Am I saying you copied me by getting married in Italy?” Kim tells the camera. “Who performed at my wedding? Andrea Bocelli. Who performed at Kourtney’s wedding? Andrea Bocelli.”

She continued, “You stole my f—ing wedding country and my wedding performer. Andrea Bocelli is my favorite male singer of all time, but I’m copying her dolce vida lifestyle? Okay.”
