Before you visit Bad Bunny‘s native island, you better learn how to pronounce its name.
In brand-new promos for his upcoming appearance as host and musical guest on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, Benito schools castmember Heidi Gardner on how to pronounce “Puerto Rico.”
“I’ve always wanted to go to Port-oh Reek-oh,” Gardner says, butchering the commonwealth’s name.
“Puerto Rico,” Bunny corrects.
“Sorry, Port-oh Reek-oh!” Gardner repeats.
After trying again, the superstar artist gives up: “You know what? Don’t go, please.”
Elsewhere in the promos, Gardner compliments “the message” of Bad Bunny’s music but says she “can’t say it.” “Because it’s in Spanish?” he asks. No, she responds, before saying her bleeped-out response. “OK, you can’t say that on TV,” Bunny admits with a laugh.
He also valiantly saves Gardner from a mosquito during their promo shoot. Watch the new promos below:

Bad Bunny made his first appearance on SNL in April 2020 with a cameo during a pandemic-era Saturday Night Live at Home episode. He made his debut as a musical guest in February 2021 (and acted in a couple of sketches) alongside Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page as the host. This weekend’s episode will mark Bad Bunny’s first time hosting.
The NBC late-night staple returned for its 49th season this past weekend, with Pete Davidson hosting and Ice Spice as the musical guest. Former SNL castmember Davidson was supposed to host the show back on May 6, alongside musical guest Lil Uzi Vert, before the writers’ strike canceled all upcoming episodes when it started on May 2. The season premiere marked Ice Spice’s debut on the show, with her collaborator Taylor Swift even making a cameo to introduce her second performance of the night.
Bad Bunny’s SNL episode will air Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and streaming live on Peacock.

Clarkson kick off the interview by gushing about Morissette’s songwriting capabilities, noting that the “Ironic” singer has a unique ability to contextualize universal experiences in her music. “You have this very amazing way of saying what we really want to say or we don’t know how to identify it, and ‘Hands Clean,’ that’s a really rough song,” she said. “Is that from childhood trauma and on?”
While Morissette did not confirm or deny whether the track is about her childhood experiences, she recalled the video treatment her record label at the time suggested, and how it didn’t match what she had in mind at all.
“I remember the record company having said, ‘Let’s do this video where it’s a karaoke and there’s kids and it’s joy.’ And I asked them, I said, ‘Have you heard the song?’ And they said, ‘Yeah, it’s great.’ I was like, ‘OK, so you haven’t heard the song,’” the seven-time Grammy winner explained. “It just felt like this incongruent kind of thing, but it’s a lovely way to present a song that otherwise might not have even been listened to, I think.”
Clarkson remarked that Morissette’s ability to bring “Webster Dictionary words” to her music fascinates the Idol alum. “I bought my first dictionary because of you,” Clarkson shared. “I was very young, and I was like, ‘What are these words? They mean something and I just need to look them up!’ Literally you are the reason why I owned a dictionary for the very first time.”
The “Since You’ve Been Gone” singer kicked off Thursday’s episode with a rousing rendition of Morissette’s “Smiling.” With the help of her backing band, she ripped through the track with ease, peppering his signature high notes and belt thoughout the song. “This is my first wave of my white flag/ This is the sound of me hitting bottom/ This, my surrender, if that’s what you call it/ In the anatomy of my crash,” she sang on the chorus.

But in the latest episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, which kicked off its fourth season in September, the SKIMS founder revealed that the “Donda” rapper was surprisingly chill about the family’s new employee. “I recently hired a manny,” Kardashian began, noting that she has a “female-dominated” household, according to People. “I really wanted a male around that would be picking them up and taking them to sports, and I was scared out of my mind to tell their dad that.”
“When he was dropping off the kids, Kanye introduced himself,” continued the reality star, who shares daughters North, 10, and Chicago, 5, as well as sons Saint, 7, and Psalm, 4, with Ye. “They played two-on-two with Saint and him.”

The Rocket Man and his music was everywhere on the night, as Tiki performed Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Hawk hit “Saturday’s Alright For Fighting,” Husky performed “Bennie and the Jets,” Royal Hen tackled “Philadelphia Freedom,” and, for good measure, judge Robin Thicke performed “Tiny Dancer.”
The two celebrities with the lowest number of votes would enter the knockout. That meant Royal Hen vs. Hawk, on a rendition of “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” by Elton John and Kiki Dee.
Hawk won the battle of the birds.
Under the Royal Hen mask was Billie Jean King, the tennis legend with 39 Grand Slam titles to her name who is as well remembered for her deeds on the court as those advocacy efforts off it.
King didn’t just perform the song. It’s hers.
Elton and his career-long collaborator Bernie Taupin wrote the song in the early 1970s for King, then a member of the Philadelphia Freedoms professional tennis team.
“You guys are so awesome, thank you so much,” she said after the big reveal.
The experience, on The Masked Singer, yeah “It was great but it was so hot” under that outfit. “I’m sweating bullets”.
King also recounted the moment her friend Elton told her about the song he was writing for her. “If you go to Philadelphia, everyone is still playing it,” she said. “It’s their anthem.”
It was King who, in 1973, lobbied for equal prize money for men and women at the U.S. Open.
Through her work, Flushing Meadows became the first major tournament to offer equal prize money to both sexes. Today, all four Grand Slams offer equal prize money to women and men. King also defeated self-proclaimed chauvinist Bobby Riggs in the so-called “Battle of the Sexes” in 1973, winning in three straight sets.
For her work, King in 2009 received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States’ highest civilian honor, and she’s a recipient of the 1999 Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

Saturday Night Live’s season 49 premiere on Oct. 14 was one for the books, thanks in particular to two surprise appearances from Taylor Swift and her new beau, Travis Kelce. But in the Oct. 18 episode of his podcast New Heights, the Kansas City Chiefs tight reflected on their viral cameos, and revealed that the his actually came together somewhat last minute.
“We showed up at SNL having the idea of going to support Ice Spice,” Travis told his brother and New Heights co-host, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. “Her and Taylor are good friends. I always wanted to meet Pete Davidson — been a fan of his for quite a while.”
“I didn’t know what the skit was, like, which skits were coming up,” Travis explained on his podcast. “I’m pretty sure it was just ironic they were doing a skit on Swiftmania. I thought it was hilarious when they asked me to be a part of it. I was like, ‘Man I’d be honored.’”
“I don’t even remember what I said — I blacked out,” he continued. “As soon as they cued to me, the entire place erupted, which was very overwhelming, and I’m not even sure if I said anything.”
Davidson, who hosted the program, starred in a skit that parodied the NFL’s Swift-centric coverage of the pop star’s recent attendance streak at Travis’ games. At the very end of the sketch, Keenan Thompson (playing NFL sportscaster Curt Menefee) declared, “When we get back, we are going to speak with someone who actually wants to talk football,” prompting cameras to pan to the Ohio native for the closing line.
“It was electric to be back in that place,” the tight end — who hosted SNL in March — added. “There is just something about being in that room and it just being their first episode this season. I had such a frickin’ blast, man!”
Later during the season premiere, Swift herself popped up to introduce Ice Spice, who made her debut as musical guest. “Absolutely killed it,” Travis added of the “Munch” rapper’s performance.
As jaw-dropping as Swift and Kelce’s unexpected appearances were, however, fans may have been even more excited to see the two holding hands on their way to the SNL afterparty. Photos and videos surfaced of the 6’5″ athlete pretty much taking over the role of Swift’s bodyguard, helping her in and out of the car and always keeping a hand or arm around her.
“I feel like whenever I’m on a date, I’m always having the sense that I’m a man in the situation,” Travis recalled to Jason. “I’m protective, yeah, for sure. You always have to have that feeling or self-awareness, I guess.”
Plus, the two brothers poked fun at their father over the much-talked-about moment Ed Kelce was spotted by NFL cameras making conversation with Swift at the Oct. 12 Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos game. “He shouldn’t be talking to Taylor Swift,” Jason said, laughing, as Travis added, “This is a terrifying conversation, I felt terrible for Taylor for being in this.”
“You can see in this picture all he’s doing is just pumping her up,” Travis continued. “He’s started listening to her music a little more.”
