Kevin Spacey has resurfaced with another bizarre Christmas Eve video. On Sunday (Dec. 24), the former House of Cards actor shared a seven-minute clip, titled “Being Frank With Tucker,” in which he once again reprises his role as the Netflix drama’s power-hungry politician Frank Underwood, this time sitting down for a faux interview with former […]

Timothée Chalamet says he’s been given access to a ton of unreleased Bob Dylan music in preparation for his role in an upcoming biopic about the iconic singer-songwriter.
During an interview with Happy Sad Confused’s Josh Horowitz, the Wonka star revealed that Dylan’s longtime manager, Jeff Rosen, sent him a 12-hour playlist of unreleased songs by the legendary artist, recorded between 1959 and 1964. Rosen is serving as a producer on the forthcoming film, titled A Complete Unknown.

“This might earn the ire and wrath of a lot of Bob fans, rightfully,” Chalamet told Horowitz. “But he sent me like a 12-hour playlist of unreleased Bob stuff from like 1959 to ’64. I feel like I’m holding onto gold or something.”

The Dune actor pointed out that some of the music is already available to fans through such bootlegs as The Minnesota Tapes.

A Complete Unknown stars Chalamet as Dylan, Benedict Cumberbatch as Pete Seeger, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, and Elle Fanning in an unspecified role. Woody Guthrie will also be portrayed in the movie, though the actor cast for the role has not yet been announced.

The biopic, directed by James Mangold, is scheduled to begin production in August. The project is based on Elijah Wald’s book Dylan Goes Electric and a script from Jay Cocks.

Mangold previously confirmed that Chalamet will do his own singing in the forthcoming Searchlight Pictures film. During an interview with Collider at London’s Star Wars Celebration in early April, the director was asked whether the actor would do his own crooning in the movie, instead of dubbing in Dylan’s voice. Mangold replied, “Of course!”

“It’s such an amazing time in American culture,” Mangold said when asked what drew him to the Dylan film. “The story of a young, 19-year-old Bob Dylan coming to New York with like two dollars in his pocket and becoming a worldwide sensation within three years — first being embraced into the family of folk music in New York and then, of course, kind of outrunning them at a certain point as his star rises so beyond belief. It’s such an interesting true story and about such an interesting moment in the American scene.”

The Renaissance is far from over. On Thursday (Dec. 21), Beyoncé made a grand return to Brazil to celebrate the premiere of her Renaissance documentary concert film in a slew of new international territories, marking her first visit to the country in a decade.
Queen Bey had days earlier shared on Instagram the latest KNTY 4 News update: Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé would premiere in 15 new countries, including Brazil, on Dec. 21. “Y’all didn’t have to break my website,” she said in a voiceover. “But I told y’all, the renaissance is not over.”

To celebrate the film’s release around the world, Parkwood Entertainment and TV Globo teamed up to co-sponsor an event in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Fan-captured footage shows what appears to be a replica of the Renaissance World Tour stage and exclusive Club Renaissance merchandise.

Beyoncé teased her arrival in Brazil with a cheeky meme of the Renaissance disco horse — nicknamed Reneigh by fans — peeking out of a private jet. Sure enough, the music icon surprised fans with her first public appearance in Brazil in 10 years. She last visited the country during her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour back in 2013.

Once at the event, a visibly overwhelmed Beyoncé addressed the crowd, saying in fan-captured video, “I was not able to come for the Renaissance tour, but I’m so happy to give y’all the Renaissance film … You are the Renaissance!”

“I came because I love you so much … It was very important to be here, right here,” the “Cuff It” singer continued. “Thank you for all your support over the years. There is no one like y’all. You are one of one, No. 1 and the only one!”

Immediately following her brief appearance — during which she wore a stunning silver hooded grown — Beyoncé shared some snaps on her Instagram page featuring her chucking up the deuces on her private jet, holding the Brazilian flag, and taking in the enraptured crowd.

The “Break My Soul” singer originally hosted two premieres for her film: a private premiere at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 25 and a public premiere at Leicester Square in London on Nov. 30. At both events, Beyoncé sported brand new platinum blonde hair.

The film made its U.S. debut on Dec. 1, topping the domestic box office in its first weekend and earning acclaim from critics and fans alike. The behind-the-scenes look at her Renaissance World Tour and accompanying Grammy-winning album featured Beyoncé at her most vulnerable in years.

Beyoncé’s record-breaking tour visited the U.S., Europe and Canada, selling more than 2.7 million tickets and grossing $579 million. The trek, which was in support of her Billboard 200-topping Renaissance album, is the highest grossing tour by a woman, by a Black artist and by any American soloist in Billboard Boxscore history.

Travis Scott‘s Dec. 19 concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center was a memorable one, and not just because he collided with a giant head replica on stage.
A different moment from rapper’s set at Barclays went viral because he performed his Playboy Carti-assisted track “FE!N” 10 times during the show. But according to Scott, who dished on his latest concert during his Thursday (Dec. 21) appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, it was all intentional and happened because he was feeding off of his audience’s energy.

“Man, I have the best fans in the world and I go off the energy they give me, and they were wild that night, and so I just got even wilder,” he explained. “Tonight I plan on going even crazier at Madison Square Garden.”

“FE!N” hails from Scott’s latest album, Utopia. The set, which boasts star-studded features from Drake, Beyoncé, SZA, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd and more, is up for best rap album at the Grammys next year. During the 32-year-old’s Fallon appearance, he recalled the moment he found out about his latest nomination, and showed some love to the Recording Academy for the recognition.

“I was on tour and I was about to go to the venue and my guy, my partner in everything I do, David, he called me, he was like, ‘Yo, we’re nominated again for the Grammys,’ and I was like, ‘Yes, OK. This time we got to bring it home,’ you know?” he told the host. “I love music and I love the Academy.”

After winning over fans’ hearts during her run on RuPaul’s Drag Race season nine and All Stars season four, Farrah Moan is now ready to tell fans the full, unfiltered truth about her journey with her gender identity.

In the latest episode of fellow Drag Race alum Maddy Morphosis’ interview series Give It to Me Straight, Farrah Moan revealed that she identifies as a transgender woman, and has spent the last four years living as one. “In 2019, unbeknownst to my following, that was when I had made my decision to live my life as a woman,” Moan said.

Speaking with Morphosis, Moan said that she held back on coming out publicly as trans because she feared that doing so would impact her work as a drag queen, or that it could’ve meant that she “would never be on Drag Race,” especially considering that her makeup transformation from “male to female” was part of her brand.

But, Moan revealed that at a certain point in her journey, she knew that something needed to change. “Having a male persona felt more like drag than having to do drag,” she said. “Trying to figure out how to be a cute boy was so much harder for me and came so much more unnaturally, to the point where I was like, ‘I wish I could just go out in drag right now.’ The thought of dressing like a boy was so stressful to me, it stressed me out so much and I resented every masculine feature my whole life.”

Moan says she recognized that she had always felt trans, and that she simply “needed to feel free” when it came to labeling herself. “[Doing drag] was the only time that I could really feel at home in my body.”

After officially coming out as trans to her close friends and family, Moan told Morphosis that, accompanied with all the other changes she’s made in her life — the drag performer recently got sober and started regularly exercising — she feels much better on a regular basis. “My daily anxiety levels are much lower. I don’t feel panicked about it anymore,” she said, before breaking into tears. “I feel proud of who I am, and at 30 years old, I’m actually just so thankful for that, because I really never thought I would.”
