Tim Scott

Anthony Anderson made fun of Senator Tim Scott’s speech at the Republican National Convention’s opening night, as well as Donald Trump’s bandaged ear and convention entrance.
On Tuesday (July 16), actor Anthony Anderson kicked off his guest hosting stint of Late Night With Jimmy Kimmel with a monologue that skewered South Carolina Senator Tim Scott’s speech at the Republican National Convention, which Anderson dubbed “the white People’s Choice Awards”. After noting that the party officially declared Donald Trump as its nominee, “which means there was a lot of ass-kissing on display,” he went on to call out Scott. “But no one kissed more ass than the senator from South Carolina, Tim Scott.”

The show then played a clip from Scott’s speech, where he spoke about the thwarted assassination attempt on Trump’s life. “On Saturday, the devil came to Pennsylvania holding a rifle, but an American lion got back up on his feet and he roared!”, Scott yelled, adding a couple more roars for the convention audience. “Tim, Trump already picked his running mate,” Anderson said after the clip, referring to Ohio Senator J.D. Vance.
“You don’t have to do this, bruh.” But he noted that the “most ridiculous” part of Scott’s remarks came afterward. They then played the clip, which showed Scott saying once again that “America is not a racist country.” Anderson replied sarcastically, Attention large crowd of white people: America is not a racist country. Thanks, Uncle Tim. Or Tom, whichever you go by.”
Anderson also took time to poke fun at the several shots of Republican supporters dancing in the crowd at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, calling it the “No Soul Train”.
But he saved some of his best jabs for the former president, saying that Trump “walked in like a heavyweight champ, with the swagger of Mike Tyson and the ear of Evander Holyfield. I mean, Trump had his ear all bandaged up. That’s the whitest square I’ve seen next to him since Mike Pence.”

One thing Republicans are good at is lying, and Donald Trump’s surrogate, Senator Tim Scott, put on a master class during a recent interview on ABC, but the host was not having it.
Master of shucking and jiving, Tim Scott of South Carolina, really wants to be that one African American that Trump proudly points to when making the argument he is not racist.
The potential a** kisser, oops, we mean VP pick for Trump’s presidential campaign, is out here running his huge gums, lying on behalf of the GOP, trying to paint this picture that America is somehow a much more violent place under President Joe Biden’s leadership.
During a recent interview on ABC News on Sunday, June 16, Scott claims violent crime is up after Karl’s question about the Supreme Court’s latest dumb decision to strike down a ban on bump stocks.
Host Jonathan Karl said aht, aht, aht and hit the South Carolina senator with a community note in real-time.
“We trust and believe and respect the decision of the Supreme Court,” Scott said. “What we need to focus on, Jon, is the violence that we’re seeing across this nation. Under Joe Biden, we’ve seen the greatest increase in violent crime in my lifetime.”
Karl quickly let Scott know his information was not accurate.
“Actually, Senator, as you probably know, the latest stats on violent crime and on the murder rate, they’re actually down this past year,” Karl said.
Scott was not done lying, stating, “Under Joe Biden, neighborhoods like the ones I grew up in have never been ravaged [more].”

Social media has also been cooking Tim Cook, and deservingly so. You can see those reactions in the gallery below.

At this point, it couldn’t be more abundantly clear that if the Sunken Place has a deeper sunken place within itself, that’s where South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott resides.

Scott recently made an appearance on CNN so he could continue his pity party tour on behalf of Donald Trump and the 34 felonies he was found guilty of at the end of his hush money trial in New York. According to the Grio, Scott joined the chorus line of angry MAGA minions who claim Trump’s prosecution was about politics, not the law. Scott claimed the charges of falsifying business records were “the weaponization of the justice system” by President Joe Biden, despite the glaring fact that neither Biden nor his administration have anything to do with charges brought on anyone by the office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

But Scott’s fact-averse diatribe didn’t end there. He also continued his stale, whitey-pleasing narrative that “America is not a racist country” and that the real discrimination is being leveled against Republicans.

“The reason why we’re seeing so many African Americans coming to the Trump campaign — two big reasons: jobs and justice,” Scott told CNN host Phil Mattingly. “I’ll say simply, as an African American born and raised in the Deep South who had concerns about our justice system as it relates to race, I’m now seeing it play out from a partisan perspective. It’s not as much Black and white as it is red and blue.”

Riiiiight.

Let’s start with the fact that it’s untrue that there has been anything more than a slight uptick in “African Americans” who are “coming to the Trump campaign.”

From the Grio:

Polling reveals that most African American voters still support the Democratic Party. According to the Pew Research Center, a majority of Black voters — 83% — lean Democratic. Pew’s polling also reveals that 72% of Black voters say Trump was a “poor or terrible president.”

While we’re here, let’s get into Scott and the rest of the MAGA GOP’s false assertion that Trump was prosecuted for crimes no one is normally prosecuted for, which supposedly proves the prosecution was political.

From NewsOne:
Last year, Just Security posted a 24-page survey detailing dozens of New York prosecutions over the last decade for falsifying business records in the first degree, which was the top charge leveled against Trump. According to NBC New York, “Records from the New York Division of Criminal Justice Services show 10 years ago, 101 people were arrested in New York City in cases where the top charge was falsification of business records.”
In 2022, only 39 people faced that top charge, but the fact that none of those people were named Donald Trump still indicates he wasn’t given a custom-made charge that only he could catch. Now, to be fair, prosecutions for falsifying business records did increase by a lot when Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg took office, but that doesn’t help Republicans’ “only Trump” narrative since that increase also didn’t include defendants named Donald Trump.
NBC also reported that during “Bragg’s first 15 months as DA, his team filed 166 felony counts for falsifying business records against 34 people or companies.” Again, none of those individuals or business were beared the name Trump. In fact, the only didfference between Trump and those other defendants is that when those other defendants were charged with similar crimes, Republicans didn’t care.
As far as Scott’s wannabe-white nonsense regarding how the division in America is “not as much Black and white as it is red and blue,” he has been on that shuck-and-jivery since long before Trump was ever indicted on any crimes.
For years now, Scott has repeatedly claimed “America is not a racist country”—despite all the data that says otherwise—while out of the other side of his neck, he has repeatedly compared the treatment of Republicans to anti-Black racism, which he apparently doesn’t think exists in any substantial way. This is also the umteenth time he has compared Trump’s trial to anti-Black injustice in the court system, which, again, he doesn’t really believe exists.
It’s unclear why Scott is even bothering to pretend he has ever publicly “had concerns about our justice system as it relates to race,” but it is clear that the only Black Republican in the U.S. Senate—and the only one to represent South Carolina in the state’s history (nothing racist about that though, right?)—has dedicated himself to loving up on Trump, absolving America of its white supremacist ways, and making Republicans the new N-words.

Yes, Scott is delusional. No, he doesn’t deal in facts. Yes, white conservatives love him for it—and that might be the point.

Senator Tim Scott’s endorsement of Donald Trump for President in New Hampshire was a train wreck, and social media didn’t hesitate to crack jokes.

Scott made sure that former President Donald Trump got his support in a way that many saw as “humiliating” during a rally held to celebrate his victory in the Republican Party’s primary contest in New Hampshire on Tuesday night (January 23). The Republican senator from South Carolina, previously in the running for his party’s nomination before ending his campaign, joined other primary candidates Vivek Ramaswamy and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum on stage.
Trump, who visibly seethed at former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s insistence on remaining in the race despite her 11-point loss, gave the men time to speak to the audience at the event in Laconia and heard Scott endorse Trump over Haley (who appointed Scott to his senatorial position) to be the party’s nominee with glee. “You must really hate her,” Trump said as he called the senator to the stage. “It’s a shame, it’s a shame.”. “I just love you!,” Scott replied as he took the podium.
The display set many off the wrong way. Social justice advocate and MSNBC host Reverend Al Sharpton was frank in his assessment on Wednesday morning while appearing on the Morning Joe program. “It’s not a good thing in my life to watch Tim do that,” said Sharpton. “He has a right to be Republican, he has a right to do Donald Trump, but to do it in such a way that is so humiliating was troubling.”

It also wasn’t lost on those on social media, especially on X, formerly Twitter. They savaged the senator for his display, with some even referencing the fact that Trump joked about Scott’s engagement to Mindy Jay Noce, who was revealed to be his girlfriend after showing up to what would be Scott’s last debate appearance.

Senator Tim Scott announced that he would be ending his campaign to be the Republican presidential nominee over the weekend, surprising many.

Republican Senator Tim Scott appeared on Fox News for an interview with former GOP politician and friend Trey Gowdy on Sunday (November 12) “I love America more today than I did on May 22. But when I go back to Iowa, it will not be as a presidential candidate. I am suspending my campaign,” he said while taking part in the interview from his home. “I think the voters, who are the most remarkable people on the planet, have been really clear that they’re telling me, ‘Not now, Tim,’” Scott continued. “I don’t think they’re saying, Trey, ‘No.’ But I do think they’re saying, ‘Not now.’”

When asked by Gowdy if he would lend his support to any of the remaining candidates for the Republican primary, the lone Black candidate demurred and expressed that “the best way for me to be helpful” would be not to offer an endorsement. He also ruled out becoming a vice-presidential nominee. “I ran for president to be president,” he said. “I think I was called to run. I was not called to win, but I certainly was called to run. … Being vice president has never been on my to-do list for this campaign, and it’s certainly not there now.”
The news came as a surprise to many – including members of Scott’s own presidential campaign team and his donors who tuned in to Gowdy’s program. Scott did call his campaign aides after the interview to confirm his decision, sources close to the campaign said. One donor, metal mogul Andy Sabin said to reporters that he was “disappointed but not surprised” at Scott’s choice.
Scott’s decision comes after the last Republican debate, where he offered up a paltry showing in comparison to the other candidates. His campaign message which was imbued with positivity and an emphasis on conservative Christian values wasn’t going over well with voters who are still fixated on former President Donald Trump. Major donors had already been pulling ads for him at the beginning of October. “Tim ran an optimistic, hopeful message — but that’s not where the Republican base is right now,” an unnamed GOP official said. It also comes after Scott’s reported girlfriend attended the Miami debate, causing a flurry of questions over her identity.

Senator Tim Scott showed up at the recent Republican presidential debate with his mystery girlfriend in tow, prompting a ton of reactions online. On Wednesday night, as the Republican presidential debate held in Miami, Florida ended, all of the candidates were greeted by their family members and spouses on stage. Eyebrows were raised as Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina was greeted by an unidentified blonde woman in a gray pantsuit. The two then posed for photos arm-in-arm as they grinned widely. It was an interesting development for Scott, the only Black GOP candidate who has been an ardent supporter of conservative family values but has been questioned by members of his party about his lack of a romantic life.

The woman was later confirmed by someone close to the campaign to be Mindy Noce, a design and renovations manager for a real estate firm in the Charleston, South Carolina area where Scott is from. Other sources confirmed that she is a mother of three children. Senator Scott, who has been firmly tight-lipped about his romantic relationships when queried by the press, also confirmed that Noce was his girlfriend when questioned by NBC News reporter Nnamdi Egwuonwu who first asked, “Any special guests with you today?” “All my guests are special,” Scott first responded before confirming. But he offered nothing more than the information that they had been seeing each other “for a year or so”.
The appearance of Scott’s girlfriend caused many online to register shock at the timing. Others took the opportunity to note that Noce’s presence seemed to be more of a highlight for Scott than his remarks at the debate. The moment also prompted others to speculate if their relationship was truly real, making comparisons of Scott to fellow South Carolina senator Lindsay Graham. Tim Scott is still viewed as an underdog in the race to be the GOP’s 2024 presidential nominee, despite some strong fundraising numbers.
We’ve put together some of the more notable online reactions to Tim Scott’s new paramour below.

1. The Intellectualist

2. Franklin Leonard

The film and television producer quipped: “Tim Scott’s girlfriend makes an appearance mere minutes after the SAG strike ends? I’m sure it’s just a coincidence. Never mind me.”

3. PettyLupone

“Did Tim Scott just launch his fake girlfriend story arc after one of the worst debate performances of all time?”, this X user asked.

4. SilverBeard aka SIR

This X user employed a meme of Mushmouth from Fat Albert and The Cosby Kids in reference to Scott while making light of the whole situation.

Sen. Tim Scott has entered his name into the presidential race sweepstakes and he appears to be landing near the bottom according to some reports. The South Carolina senator saw his name trending on X, formerly known as Twitter, earlier on Wednesday (September 20) most especially for his being against the idea of unionized workers.
A recent video of Sen. Tim Scott on the campaign trail displayed him decrying the efforts of the ongoing United Auto Workers strike, evoking the union-busting ideas of President Ronald Reagan.
“I think Ronald Reagan gave us a great example when federal employees decided they were gonna strike. You strike, you’re fired. Simple concept to me,” Scott is seen saying in the clip below courtesy of The Recount

Further, political commentator Keith Boykin recently put out a video dissecting Scott’s jab at the Republican Party for dredging up negative ideas about him because he’s surging in the polls.
As Boykin noted in a two-part video last week, Scott is not a frontrunner, as Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis own the lion’s share of the interest among GOP voters. Boykin suggests that Scott is not directly living his truth and is hiding the fact from his party that he might be gay.

Sen. Tim Scott is currently taking a lot of shots on X at the moment. Keep scrolling to see some of those comments below.

Republican Senator Tim Scott has officially announced that he will run for president in 2024 in front of constituents in his home state.
Scott made the announcement on Monday (May 22nd) in his hometown of North Charleston, South Carolina. He positioned himself as a true conservative candidate who values “freedom and hope and opportunity.” In his 40-minute speech, he spoke about coming up from poverty and being raised by a single mother to his current position as the only Black Republican member of the Senate.

“We have to have a compassion for people who don’t agree with us,” he said. “We have to believe that our ideas are so strong and so powerful and so persuasive that we can actually take it to the highest points in the world and be successful but we also have to be able to take it all the way down to places that today are hopeless and prove that who we are works for all Americans.” He’d go on to state that America is not a racist country.
Scott would also bash the Biden administration repeatedly in his speech while declaring his willingness to enter the culture wars concerning schools raging across the nation. “I will lead a revolution for excellence in our schools. Less C-R-T and more ABCs,” he said. Notably, he didn’t mention any other GOP presidential candidates which include fellow South Carolinian Nikki Haley and former President Donald Trump. In a post on his Truth Social account, wished him “good luck” before going on to bash Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is expected to also enter the race soon.
Senator Scott enters the 2024 campaign with a sizable war chest of $22 million and a firm fundraising background. But he faces a challenge as the GOP primary field grows, and even finds himself running behind Trump in his home state despite polls showing some support nationally. Scott also has to counter a reputation built on questionable panderings, such as his failure to support the George Floyd Justice In Policing Act, voting against the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and being the face of a racially stereotypical outreach to Black voters for the Trump Tax Bill in 2017 which bore the hashtag #KeepYoMoney.
