Tiger Woods has a new home, TaylorMade Golf, and to mark the occasion, he’s got a new lifestyle brand, Sun Day Red. Back in December, there were rumblings in the golf world that Nike and Tiger Woods would be ending their partnership that has lasted roughly 27 years, leaving many to wonder where Woods would be taking his talents. The answer to that question came in an announcement from the legendary golfer Monday evening: He would expand his partnership with TaylorMade Golf to bring his new lifestyle brand, Sun Day Red, to the world.Woods and TaylorMade are no strangers. Nike famously stopped making golf equipment (clubs and balls) in 2016, and Woods had a deal with TaylorMade for golf clubs and with Bridgestone for balls. Now, TaylorMade will provide both and then some with an apparel and footwear line.“It’s the right time in my life,” the 48-year-old professional golfer said per CBS News while sporting a Sun Day Red cashmere hoodie and black sneakers that noticeably lack the iconic Nike Swoosh. “It’s transitional. I’m no longer a kid anymore.”Replacing the Swoosh and representing his legendary 15-year PGA career is a tiger stretched across Sun Day Red, using the “Rule of Three,” Woods said.He continued in a news release, “I have learned so much over the years and have a lifetime of experience adjusting my apparel and footwear to help me play better based on the way it was constructed. There are things that I could tell you that no one knew I was doing over the years. I’m ready to share those secrets with the world.”The announcement of his extended partnership with TaylorMade comes on the eve of the Genesis Invitational at Riviera, where Woods will make his 2024 debut. We shall see if the new gear will help bring Woods back to winning form. The brand will launch online in the United States and Canada on May 1 with an apparel line for men.You can see more photos in the gallery below.

After more than a quarter century, the business relationship between Tiger Woods and Nike seems to be coming to an end.

According to Front Office Sports, Nike seems to be ready to move on from Tiger Woods as the man’s career on the golf course is winding down, and his retirement seems inevitable. Having signed to Nike back in 1996 when he was only 20 years old (God, time flies), the Swoosh brand has put hundreds of millions of dollars in the iconic golfer’s bank account over the decades, but it seems like that lucrative relationship is about to wrap up sooner than later.

Per Front Office Sports:

On Monday, the “No Laying Up” golf podcast – which in the past has provided early insight into major shake-ups in pro golf, such as defections from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf – reported that next week’s PNC Championship could be Woods’s last tournament wearing the Swoosh.
NLU also reported similar rumblings about other Nike golf athletes — a roster that includes Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, and Scottie Scheffler — based on the idea that an existing golf equipment manufacturer is potentially creating an apparel brand. Since Nike stopped manufacturing clubs in 2016, Wood has used clubs from TaylorMade, which sells some golf apparel but doesn’t have as vast a collection as Nike.
Since returning from ankle surgery in 2022, Woods has notably played golf tournaments wearing FootJoy shoes.
We’re not gonna lie, this isn’t devastating anyone on our side of things. We can’t remember the last time we were hype for the latest Tiger Woods Nike collection to drop, but then again, we don’t be out on the golf course like that… or ever.
Who Nike has in mind to carry on their golf apparel is anyone’s guess, but best believe we won’t be turning up whenever a new face of their golfing franchise is announced. Maybe if they brought back Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore character we’d be slightly interested to see what they have coming down the pike. Just sayin’.
What do y’all think of Nike and Tiger Woods ending their partnership? Let us know in the comments section below.

The Billionaires Boys Club for Black notable athletes just got its fourth member, and it’s none other than Magic Johnson.
According to the financial bible, Forbes, Magic Johnson is now a billionaire. The NBA champion and Pro Basketball Hall-of-Famer reached the wealth milestone thanks to a combination of all of his lucrative investments in “professional sports teams, movie theaters, Starbucks cafes, and a health insurance provider,” according to the website.

Johnson becoming a billionaire makes him only the fourth professional athlete to do so, joining his buddy Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Tiger Woods.
Forbes reports Johnson’s minority stake in the Washington Commanders after billionaire Josh Harris’ $6.05 billion purchase of the team in May, stakes in the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks, MLB’s Los Angeles Dodgers, and the MLS’ LAFC, plus other major investments pushed his net worth to $1.2 billion.
While Johnson’s investments in sports franchises, Starbucks, and Loews get all of the attention, Forbes points to his investment in Iowa-based life insurance company EquiTrust as the one that makes up the most significant portion of his net worth.
Per Forbes:
Forbes now estimates his net worth to be $1.2 billion—the result of his stakes in those teams, and major investments in a slate of industries, including a 60% stake in Iowa-based life insurance company EquiTrust he purchased in 2015.
EquiTrust makes up the largest portion of Johnson’s personal net worth—since the purchase, the Iowa-based company’s assets have skyrocketed from $16 billion to $26 billion, with annual revenues of roughly $2.6 billion.
Magic Johnson Could Have Been A “Trillionaire” Already
While Johnson has nothing to be upset about regarding his net worth, he could have already been a trillionaire if he had made one investment back in his playing days, and that’s taking Nike’s offer of stock options instead of the cash with Converse.
According to the numbers, Johnson missed out on $5.2 billion.

Still, being worth $1.2 billion is nothing to sneeze at. Congrats to the Magic man on the accomplishment.

Tiger Woods is once again in some messy relationship drama. The iconic golf pro is denying his ex-girlfriend’s claim that they had an oral agreement that she could stick around for years after he cut her off.

By now, you may have learned that their “break up” is the stuff of legend. The ex in question, Erica Herman, was allegedly and infamously instructed to get ready for a short vacation, only to be dropped off at an airport and told the relationship was kaput. Upon trying to return to the home they shared for the past five years, the locks had been changed.
Cold world.

Per current celebrity relationship standards, and despite a signed NDA, she is suing Tiger Woods for a cool $30 million and insists she is supposed to be allowed to stay another five years in the crib she was unceremoniously booted from.
However, Woods is insisting there was never any such agreement in place.
Reports TMZ:
Tiger’s lawyers are challenging Erica Herman, who claimed in her lawsuit Tiger promised to support her and let her live in his house for at least 5 more years in return for services (she did not specify) — this before he broke up with her a few months back.
According to legal docs, Tiger’s lawyers said (BTW the house is partly owned by a trust)  … “During their relationship, Mr. Woods invited Ms. Herman to live with him as his guest in the Residence. Mr. Woods never negotiated an oral tenancy agreement with Ms. Herman. Nor was there ever a written tenancy agreement between Mr. Woods or the Trust, on the one hand, and Ms. Herman, on the other hand. Mr. Woods never transferred to Ms. Herman any ownership interest in or rights of possession to the Residence.”
That sounds like lawyer speak for “GTFOH.”
Tiger’s lawyers also assert that Herman’s story that she was driven to an airport was also a tall tale. They say that Tiger actually hooked her up with a stay at a luxury resort and enough cash to get her own place.
Herman is also claiming the NDA isn’t valid due to a sexual assault. That allegation is a separate case that Woods’ lawyers have yet to address.
Expect this to only get uglier.

Tiger Woods is currently facing some legal troubles after his ex-girlfriend filed a lawsuit citing that she was forced outside of his home. Erica Herman is suing the legendary golfer for $30 million in damages and wants the case to be played out publicly despite signing an NDA.
PEOPLE reports that Tiger Woods, 47, and Erica Herman, 39, began dating in 2017. Herman reportedly worked as a general manager of Woods’ The Woods Jupiter restaurant in Jupiter, Fla. PEOPLE adds in its reporting that Herman is filing the lawsuit over being ousted from Wodds’ home. The lawsuit named Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust as a defendant and Herman is asking that her NDA agreement be struck down citing a law that claims they can be voided in cases of sexual assault.

The trust requested that Herman’s lawsuit be heard in front of an arbitrator. According to Herman, she claims to have had a verbal agreement with Woods to stay in his home that she shares with his two children for another five years. Further, Herman claims she was swindled out of $40,000 in cash.
In a Sports Illustrated report, Herman claims she was misled to leave the home only to return to find that she was locked out permanently. The couple resided in the home for six years and Herman contends she was owed another five years of living in the Woods’ Hobe Sound mansion.
Tiger Woods has yet to make a public comment about the matter.
