The Eras Tour

Taylor Swift is showing her Irish pride in Dublin.
On Friday (June 28), the 34-year-old pop superstar rocked a sparkly outfit with the country’s flag colors during the opening concert of her Eras Tour stop at the city’s Aviva Stadium.

While delivering the 1989 segment of her set, Swift rocked a shimmery jewel-encrusted orange crop top with a matching green skirt. The section featured popular songs from the 2014 album, including Billboard Hot 100 hits “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off” and “Bad Blood.”

Friday’s concert also found the “Anti-Hero” singer performing two fresh mashups during the surprise songs portion of the set.

For her first surprise track of the evening, Swift performed a mashup of “State of Grace,” from her 2012 Red album, and “You’re On Your Own, Kid,” from Midnights in 2022. This marked the first time the songstress has played “You’re On Your Own, Kid” on the acoustic guitar.

For her second surprise song, Swift delivered a medley of Midnights‘ “Sweet Nothing” and “Hoax” off Folklore. The latter was her first performance of the 2020 track on the Eras Tour.

Elsewhere during the show, Swift also paid tribute to her boyfriend Travis Kelce by reenacting the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s signature archer pose while performing “Midnight Rain,” from her 2022 Midnights album.

Ahead of her three-night stint in Ireland, Swift got some love from the country’s most famous rockers. On Friday, she shared on her Instagram Stories a photo of the flowers and a sweet note that she received from iconic rock band U2.

Alongside a bouquet of white, pink and purple roses and lilies was a card that read, “Dear Taylor, welcome back to our hometown…leave some of it standing?!!!!” The note was signed, “Your Irish fan club, Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry.”

On her Instagram Stories, Swift responded by captioning her post with “Already feeling that Irish hospitality!! @u2, thanks for always being the classiest & coolest.” Swift also included an Irish flag emoji.

The superstar singer’s Eras Tour is set for three shows at Aviva Stadium from June 28-30. Paramore is the special guest for all three concerts.

The note came as Swift is set to perform three shows at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on June 28-30. Paramore will open each of the shows.

Swift has seen numerous artists and celebrities in attendance at her The Eras Tour shows. Beatles legend Paul McCartney recently danced with fans at one of Swift’s concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium, while others who have attended The Eras Tour include Shania Twain, Haim, Diplo, Selena Gomez, Billy Joel, Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman and Maren Morris.

Following her Ireland concerts, Swift’s tour itinerary through the rest of 2024 includes stops in Amsterdam, Milan, Munich, London, Toronto and Vancouver.

Meanwhile, Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department spends its ninth week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album marks her 14th project to top the Billboard 200.

Taylor Swift is working to leave the cities on her Eras Tour route a little better than she found them.
As the 34-year-old pop star has taken her global trek to Europe this summer, she’s continued her trend of donating to food banks along the way. And according to one charity in Liverpool — where Swift performed three nights at Anfield Stadium earlier this month — a recent contribution from the singer will take care of crucial gaps in their fundraising efforts, providing for a full year’s worth of meals.

“It’s the most incredible gift,” Rich Jones, chief executive of St. Andrew’s Community Network, told The Guardian in an interview published Tuesday (June 25). “Because of rising prices, rising need and falling donations, we’ve been having to subsidize our food ourselves for a long while.”

“But it’s fair to say that Taylor Swift has essentially paid our food bill for 12 months – and that gives us the breathing space to focus on fundraising efforts going forward,” he added on behalf of St. Andrew’s, which runs 11 food banks and offers long-term support to eight community pantries.

Shortly after performing in Liverpool, the “Anti-Hero” singer brought her Eras showcase to Wales. According to Rachel Biggs, chief executive of Cardiff Foodbank, Swift also covered 10,800 meals with a discreet donation to the organization in honor of her single performance at Principality Stadium June 18.

“We’re going to buy an articulated lorry full of food and other most-needed items to supplement our emergency food parcels,” Biggs told the publication. “This will provide the weight equivalent to feeding 1,200 people three meals a day, for three days … This will be 2.5 weeks of what we typically distribute.”

Though Swift doesn’t publicize her donations, Liverpool and Cardiff are only two of the latest cities to report receiving generous donations from the 14-time Grammy winner over the course of her Eras Tour. When she was on the North American leg, food banks in Arizona, Nevada and Florida all revealed that she had sent funding their way.

Following three nights at London’s Wembley Stadium last weekend, Swift is next slated to perform three shows in Dublin June 28-30. She’ll spend the rest of the summer traveling throughout Europe before returning to North America for a final lap this fall.

“Wembley Stadium round one was so surreal,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post. “Looking out into crowds of 90,000 fans each night and hearing that VOLUME… Those were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard … Never going to forget these shows.”

Travis Kelce is officially a fan of the royals. After meeting Prince William and his kids at Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour show in London over the weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end gushed about the experience with his brother Jason on New Heights and said that the heir to the British throne was “very genuine” throughout.
“Dude, he was the coolest motherf—-r,” Travis began on the episode posted Wednesday (June 26), filmed over proper English tea with both brothers still in the U.K. following Swift’s shows. “He was so cool. They were an absolute delight to meet. Wasn’t sure if I was supposed to bow to them, curtsy, just be an American idiot and shake their hand … We wanted to be polite, especially on this side of the park.”

“Prince William was fantastic, but the highlight was Princess Charlotte,” Jason, who attended the show with Kylie Kelce, chimed in. “She was so f–king adorable. She had fire to her. She was asking questions.”

“She was a superstar,” Travis agreed. “She was awesome. I love it when parents ask their kids to be present, be vocal — such a good parent move. Let them feel comfortable talking to people. If anyone’s doing it right, Prince William’s doing it right.”

The episode comes five days after Prince William, Princess Charlotte and Prince George attended the “Anti-Hero” singer’s opening night at Wembley Stadium. The night also happened to be the Duke of Cambridge’s 42nd birthday, which Swift commemorated by posting a backstage selfie with Travis and the royal family on Instagram.

“Happy Bday M8!” she captioned the snap. “London shows are off to a splendid start.”

Aside from meeting the royals, Jason also shared his favorite moments of Swift’s three-hour showcase, starting with the pop star giving her “22” costume hat to a young fan in the audience. “I’ve never cried at a f–king concert, and I was literally tearing up watching this little girl’s entire — I’m about to tear up right now,” the retired Eagles center said. “It was f—ing so special.”

Jason also raved about Swift’s surprise song section, during which she performed mashups of “Hits Different,” “Death by a Thousand Cuts” and “The Black Dog” and “Come Back…Be Here” and “Maroon.”

“That was my favorite part,” said the elder Kelce. “It’s just her, a guitar and 90,000 people. To be good in front of 90,000 people with just that, I think you have to be amazing … It feels like you’re in a bar just listening to somebody play on a piano.”

Did you know Taylor Swift played three shows in London over the weekend? Chances are good that you did, because you likely heard about one of her A-list audience members (Paul McCartney, Tom Cruise and Hugh Grant, to name a few); her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s onstage Eras Tour debut (in a tuxedo and top hat, […]

If you look for it, you’ll find that love actually is all around — especially between Taylor Swift and Hugh Grant.
Over the weekend, the 63-year-old actor was one of many stars in attendance at the 34-year-old pop star’s Eras Tour shows in London, where he watched from a VIP tent alongside Tom Cruise, Greta Gerwig, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. On Sunday, Grant took to X to sing Swift’s praises, writing, “Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet.”

It also seems as though the Notting Hill heartthrob — who shares three kids with his wife, producer Anna Eberstein — got some quality time with the 14-time Grammy winner’s beau, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, at the concert. “You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend,” he added in his tweet. “#tequilashots.”

The next day, Swift responded to the Golden Globe winner’s post to say that his feelings are very much mutual. “As a long time Hugh Grant stan this tweet is very important to my culture,” she quipped Monday.

Grant and his tentmates attended the second of the musician’s three nights at Wembley Stadium, to which Swift will return for five more Eras shows in August. Prince William and his children Prince George and Princess Charlotte were present for opening night, while Sir Paul McCartney was spotted dancing and trading friendship bracelets with Swifties on closing.

Swift’s tenure at the venue was filled with surprises, including acoustic duets with Paramore’s Hayley Williams and Gracie Abrams. Most notable, however, was Kelce’s hilarious on-stage cameo in between “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” on night three, during which he carried his superstar girlfriend in his arms and playfully coached her on her dancing.

“I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut,” Swift later wrote on Instagram. “Looking out into crowds of 90,000 fans each night and hearing that VOLUME… Those were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard … Never going to forget these shows.”

Couples who play sold-out stadiums together, stay together. At Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour concert in London Sunday (June 23), Travis Kelce surprised the crowd at Wembley Stadium by appearing on stage during his superstar girlfriend’s The Tortured Poets Department set, and in a new Instagram post, the pop star revealed that she still has heart eyes because of it.
Sharing photos of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end joining her under the spotlight — including one of him carrying her in his arms, modeling a tuxedo and top hat — Swift wrote, “I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut 🥰.”

The “Anti-Hero” singer also posted a video of her beau’s full appearance, in which he joins two of her dancers in playfully forcing her to perform “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” even after she’s dramatically collapsed following “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.” In the clip, he picks her up, carries her over to a couch, fans her and dusts her face with a makeup brush, all while coaching her on how to sing and dance ahead of the next number.

Though Kelce’s hilarious performance was definitely the biggest, Swift’s trio of London shows were full of surprises. At one point, opener Hayley Williams joined the 14-time Grammy winner on stage for an acoustic performance of their Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) duet “Castles Crumbling,” and Grace Abrams later came out to sing new song “Us” with her The Secret of Us collaborator.

“Acoustic sections went OFF,” Swift continued in her post. “I got to sing ‘Castles Crumbling’ with @yelyahwilliams for the first time – hadn’t performed with her since 2011 and man my heart was just so full of love for her and our friendship. Then the impossibly gifted and wonderful @gracieabrams came and surprised the crowd with the first performance of our song ‘us.’”

The pop star will next perform three nights in Dublin starting Friday (June 28), after which she’ll travel through Amsterdam, Milan and more European cities before closing out the leg with five more nights in London in August. In October, she’ll begin the Eras Tour‘s final leg with a string of shows in the U.S. and Canada.

“Wembley Stadium round one was so surreal,” she added. “Looking out into crowds of 90,000 fans each night and hearing that VOLUME… Those were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard … Never going to forget these shows.”

Dave Grohl may be getting himself into hot water with Swifties.
The Foo Fighters frontman poked fun at Taylor Swift‘s blockbuster The Eras Tour while onstage with his rock band at London Stadium on Saturday (June 22). The Foos’ concert happened to coincide with the pop superstar’s nearby show at Wembley Stadium.

“I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift,” Grohl told the crowd after mentioning that Swift’s tour was also passing through London. “So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f—ing errors as well. Just a couple.”

The rocker jokingly added, “That’s because we actually play live. What?! Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f—ing place.”

Saturday also marked Swift’s second of three sold-out concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium as part of her record-breaking Eras Tour. Some the “Anti-Hero” hitmaker’s fans didn’t take kindly to Grohl’s comments on social media.

“I love Foo Fighters but that was very bad out of Dave Grohl to say that and so unnecessary?” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I’ve seen both them are Taylor live and both do equally as good of a live show in their own genres. Completely out of character for him to act like this, disappointing to see.”

Another user added, “ngl dave grohl is the last artist i expected that from, he’s usually so kind, positive and a good force in the music industry, feeling dissapointed.”

Others online observers came to the Grohl’s defense and dismissed his words as playful onstage banter.

“I’ve loved Dave Grohl essentially my whole life. I don’t agree with what he said, however Foo Fighters and Taylor have two completely different music shows. Rock and Roll shows are very different than her incredible pop shows. I dont think he meant to be rude,” a fan wrote on X.

Another added, “After watching the video, I don’t think Dave Grohl was saying Taylor didn’t sing live. I think he was just making a joke about how when you sing live there will be errors.”

Grohl, who is known for his humor and down-to-earth personality, has been a champion of Swift in the past. In 2016, he told a story of the time the 14-time Grammy winner saved him from utter embarrassment in front of Beatles legend Paul McCartney at a party. He also previously praised her decision to re-record her entire catalog in a 2021 interview with Rolling Stone.

Taylor Swift delivered the live debut of “The Black Dog” on night one of her Eras Tour in London.
The 34-year-old pop superstar’s first-time performance of the emotional ballad arrived during the surprise songs portion of her concert at London’s Wembley Stadium on Friday (June 21).

“I’ve never played this one live before,” Swift told the crowd, as seen in a fan-captured clip on X (formerly Twitter).

Wearing a long orange dress and seated at a piano, the singer beautifully performed “The Black Dog,” which appears on her double album, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology. The song reached No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in May.

The TTPD track was mashed with “Come Back…Be Here,” from her 2012 Red album and “Maroon,” off 2022’s Midnights. Friday’s surprise songs set also featured a mashup of “Hits Different” and “Death By a Thousand Cuts.”

Some have speculated that “The Black Dog” is about the 1975 frontman Matty Healy, who Swift was rumored to have briefly dated in 2023. The song name-checks pop-punk band The Starting Line, which Healy’s group has covered live in recent years.

“I just don’t understand/ How you don’t miss me in The Black Dog/ When someone plays The Starting Line/ And you jump up, but she’s too young/ To know this song that was intertwined/ In the magic fabric of our dreaming,” Swift sings on the chorus of “The Black Dog.” “Old habits die screaming.”

The songstress’ hurt turns to anger as her words shift to, “And I hope it’s shitty in The Black Dog/ When someone plays The Starting Line/ And you jump up, but she’s too young/ To know this song that was intertwined/ In the tragic fabric of our dreaming/ ‘Cause tail between your legs, you’re leavin’.”

During the opening night of her London stint, Swift also took some backstage selfies with Prince William, who was celebrating his 42nd birthday. “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start,” she wrote on Instagram alongside the photo, which included the prince’s kids and her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Swift’s Eras Tour is set for three shows at Wembley Stadium from June 21-23. Paramore is the special guest for all three shows, with METTE opening the kickoff concert, Griff the second show and Benson Boone the third.

Taylor Swift had a brush with royalty on the opening night of her Eras Tour stop in London.
The pop superstar, 34, snapped a couple of backstage selfies with Prince William and his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at Wembley Stadium on Friday (June 21).

The Prince of Wales also happened to be celebrating his 42nd birthday on Friday. His wife Kate Middleton, who is undergoing treatment for cancer, and son Prince Louis, did not appear in the snapshots.

“Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start,” Swift wrote on Instagram alongside the photo, which included her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Prince William shared another photo of the group on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account. In the image, Swift poses alongside the three royals while extending her arm to take the picture.

The pop superstar recently wrapped a show June 18 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, her first time performing in Wales. “That was truly out of control in the best way – looking out into that massive, bouncing, dancing sea of people… I’ll never forget it,” she captioned a carousel of photos on Instagram after the concert. “I’m absolutely living for these UK crowds.”

Swift, who launched the global Eras Tour in March 2023, recently shared with her fans that the long-running trek would be ending. During her June 13 performance in Liverpool, England, she told the crowd at Anfield Stadium, “The celebration of the 100th show means this is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December,” she said. “Like, that’s it.”
