Taylor Swift fans are combating fear with joy following the cancellation of the pop star’s Eras Tour shows in Vienna, which had been the target of a terrorist attack plot discovered just in time by authorities earlier this week. The first of Swift’s three previously scheduled shows at Ernst Happel Stadium had been set for […]

Taylor Swift is welcoming five new artists to her Eras Tour run: Raye, Suki Waterhouse, Maisie Peters, Holly Humberstone and Sofia Isella, each of whom will open for one of the pop star’s concerts at Wembley Stadium later this month.
Swift personally delivered the news on Instagram Stories Monday (Aug. 5). “Just wanted to tell you about something coming up that I’ve been so excited about: we’re adding 5 incredible artists to our 5 Wembley shows, going on right before @paramore!!” she wrote. “I asked them to play on this tour because I love their music and think they’ll absolutely smash it in Wembley Stadium!! Go check out their music if you haven’t already. Gonna be a fun 5 nights!!!”

Running Aug. 15-17, 19 and 20, the “Karma” singer’s upcoming stint at Wembley will come about two months after she first brought her Eras shows to the massive London venue for three nights in June. Mette, Griff and Benson Boone each opened for one of the performances, while Paramore has been a constant on the 14-time Grammy winner’s European leg.
Waterhouse, who is close friends with Swift and will perform on the 17th, also shared the news on X. “It feels like an honour to simply exist at the same time as @taylorswift, let alone be an opener for her on the biggest and best tour ever 😭😭” she wrote. “A dream come true that I never want to wake up from. Playing at wembley stadium in my hometown!!”
“The hardest secret I’ve ever had to keep,” tweeted Humberstone, who will play on the 16th. “As if I get to support Taylor at The Eras Tour !!!!!! pinch me !!!!! @taylorswift thank you thank you I am eternally grateful what an honour, I have no words & I can’t f–kin wait for the 16th !”
The announcement comes as Swift has just two stops left on her European leg, with three back-to-back shows in Vienna slated for Aug. 8-10 ahead of her Wembley finale. After that, she’ll swing back through the United States and Canada for one last leg before closing out the Eras Tour in December.
“That feels so far away from now, but then again, it feels like we just played our first show on this tour because you have made this so fun for us that we wanted to do 100 shows, 150-something shows that we have on the whole tour,” Swift said on stage during a show in June. “This tour has really become my entire life. It’s taken over everything. I think I once had hobbies, but I don’t know what they were anymore because all I do when I’m not onstage is sit at home and try to think of clever acoustic song mash-ups and think about what you might want to hear. So when I’m not on the stage, I’m dreaming of being back on the stage with you guys.”

In the eyes of Swifties, nothing is ever an accident. That’s why some fans are convinced that Taylor Swift subtly shaded Ye — formerly known as Kanye West — at her latest Eras Tour show following the rapper’s reference to her on his new album with Ty Dolla $ign, Vultures 2, which dropped hours before her performance in Warsaw Saturday (Aug. 3).
On the track “Lifestyle (Demo),” Lil Wayne name-checks the 14-time Grammy winner and her boyfriend — Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — on his guest verse. “I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce,” he quips.
Though Ye himself doesn’t mention Swift, his choice to include a nod to her on his second joint LP with Ty Dolla $ign is noteworthy considering the “Donda” artist’s past feud with the pop star. That’s why the “Anti-Hero” musician’s wardrobe choice on her first Eras show after the track’s release turned some heads, with Swift sporting a T-shirt during the Red set reading, “I Bet You Think About Me.”

“She’s so funny for wearing the I bet you think about me shirt after Ka*ye name dropped her and Travis in his song an actual comedian,” one person tweeted.
Though Swift has worn the shirt at past shows, a few fans think her choice to sport it at this particular performance at the PGE Narodowy was intentional. “saw the k*nye thing a little bit ago and I knew she was gonna wear it lmao,” the same Swiftie tweeted, to which another fan replied, “it makes so much sense now.”
Swift’s tumultuous relationship with Ye is one of the most storied music industry feuds of the past decade-plus. It all started when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs to declare that Beyoncé deserved the best female video honors more, after which they eventually patched things over — that is, until he bragged that the incident launched Swift’s career on his 2016 track “Famous.”
When Swift slammed Ye for the song, he claimed that he got the “Karma” singer’s blessing on a phone call before its release, which she denied. After that, his then-wife Kim Kardashian posted an edited recording of their conversation to portray Swift as a liar, something the latter spoke about as recently as last year.
“You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,” she told TIME in her Person of the Year cover story in December. “That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.”
Taylor Swift‘s fan-favorite track “Long Live” could use an addendum: “Long live all the mountains we moved, *plus all the hilltops Swifties overran to join in on the Eras Tour fun.“
Following two performances in Munich, Germany, over the weekend, the 34-year-old pop star gushed in an Instagram post about the headline-making crowds she drew both nights. In addition to the enormous audience gathered inside Olympiastadion, tens of thousands of other unplanned viewers flocked to a nearby park both Saturday (July 27) and Sunday (July 28) in hopes of catching a glimpse of the three-hour-plus show happening in Olympiastadion.
“What a magical experience it was playing in Munich,” she began her post, sharing photos of her performances as well as a snap of the park’s hills teeming with Swifties. “The crowds of 74,000 people a night in the stadium were so passionate, and so generous to us. And I had no idea before I got to Munich that there’s a huge park behind the stadium, but around 50,000 people came out and listened to the show from the hillside both nights.”

“I’ve been watching so many videos of the crowds out there fully participating in the show from afar, all that joy,” Swift added. “I’m feeling really grateful for the unexpected memories this tour has created. We have 11 shows left on the European leg of the tour, kicking off *August* with 3 shows in Warsaw!”
That accent on “August” is a nod to the 14-time Grammy winner’s beloved Folklore song named after the month. Fans online have already started celebrating the approach of “August” season, and the song — which has so far peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 — has been known to receive a boost in streams during the eighth month of the year.
As Swift mentioned, her European Eras dates are coming to an end soon, with just three stops left in Warsaw, Vienna and London. In October, she’ll swing back to North America for final laps through the U.S. and Canada before closing out the trek for good in December.
Unfortunately, her joyful Munich shows were quickly followed by tragedy in Southport, England, where three children died and 10 others were wounded in a deadly stabbing at a Swift-themed dance class Monday (July 29). According to The Associated Press, Merseyside police took a 17-year-old boy from Cardiff into custody after arresting him on the scene.
“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock,” the “Anti-Hero” singer wrote in a message on Instagram Stories the following day. “The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and first responders. These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”
With her Hamburg fans, Taylor Swift would dance in a storm in her best dress, fearless. Following two nights at Volksparkstadion — one of which was complete with sheets of rain — the 34-year-old pop star is thanking her German crowds for showing up and showing out this week. Even Taylor Swift has to pay her respects to the king. After spotting Flavor Flav — aka “King Swiftie” — in the crowd at her first Eras Tour show in Hamburg, Germany, the 34-year-old pop star took a moment to give him a sweet shout-out from the stage.
In a video posted by the rapper on X Tuesday (July 23), Swift stands underneath a rainstorm of confetti while preparing to wrap up her three-hour-plus show at Volksparkstadion. She then locks eyes with him and excitedly mouths, “Flavor Flav!” before pointing at him with a big smile on her face.
“It’s the guy from Public Enemy also known as KING SWIFTIE,” Flav captioned the clip. “Coming straight to Germany to see me,!!! Shout out back to @taylorswift13 @taylornation13 and her team and family for having me,!!! 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾”

The 65-year-old hip-hop star also showed off a gift he seemingly received from another Swiftie in Germany: a name plate reading “Flavor Flav, King Swiftie.” “Ya boy appreciates the love and everything every Swiftie as ever given or sent me,,, 🫶🏾” he wrote, sharing a video of him dancing with the present to Lady Gaga’s “Applause,” which was part of Swift’s pre-show music.
Flav’s trip to Hamburg comes more than a year after he attended his first Eras Tour show in Detroit, which he later revealed was the impetus of his Swiftiehood. “It started because I got a girl that lives in Detroit and her kids wanted to go to the Eras Tour concert,” he said on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning radio show in January. “So my manager got in contact with Taylor Swift’s people and they hooked me up some tickets and passes … a lot of these fans were coming up to me — these young kids, man, I’m surprised they even knew who I was! — and they start giving me these friendship bracelets.”
“Her fanbase embraced me, and I embraced them back,” he added at the time. “So, I went home and I started really listening to Taylor. I’m listening to her music, and I’m like, ‘Yo, this girl is dope!’ She’s writing a lot about experiences that she goes through in life, just like a Mary J. Blige.”
Flav has since been vocal in his love for Swift, and is quick to come to her defense, such as the time he dissed Jo Koy for making a jab at the pop star during his Golden Globes monologue. He’s snapped a few photos with the “Anti-Hero” singer at award shows, and attended her Eras Tour concert film premiere in October.

Taylor Swift gave one of her older songs a sassy twist at her Eras Tour show in Gelsenkirchen, Germany Thursday (July 18). While performing “Hey Stephen” from 2008’s Fearless during the acoustic section, the pop star interjected a one-word update into her classic lyrics. “All those other girls, well they’re beautiful/ But would they write […]
From a VIP tent on the floor to seats up in the rafters, there’s no telling where Travis Kelce will watch Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour performances whenever he attends. But the second the show is over, you can pretty much count on him being one place: at his superstar girlfriend’s side, lovingly escorting her off […]
It doesn’t matter that Travis Kelce can pretty much go to as many Eras Tour shows as he wants — he still has to take videos of Taylor Swift when she’s on stage so that he can remember every moment. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was in attendance at the musician’s first concert in […]
