Among the accessories, the AWGE logo brooch is a centerpiece, crafted from silver and adorned with 6.87-carats of white lab diamonds. Another notable addition is a silk bandana, designed with a photo-print of bedazzled hair clips, reinforcing the collection’s eclectic inspiration. It was an overcast and rainy day in NYC, but that didn’t stop Black Hollywood from shining at the 2025 Met Gala. The steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art were adorned with a black and floral print carpet that stretched from the sidewalk to the entrance, guiding the who’s who of fashion into the fashion event of the year. HelloBeautiful’s editorial director, Shamika Sanders, was on the carpet to talk to the likes of Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell, Law Roach, Ryan Coogler, Anna Wintour, Jazmine Sullivan, Coco Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Stevie Wonder, Ava Duvernay, Debbie Allen, and more.
The theme for the 2025 Met Gala was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” with a spotlight on men’s fashion and Black dandyism. It was a moment for fashion killas like Rocky, Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, and other fly guys to show off their sartorial styles.
For many of the fashionable attendees, it was about more than the labels they were wearing; many of them had sentimental accessories that held a significant meaning to them. Underneath Ryan Coogler’s Fear Of God suit was a locket with his wife and daughter’s picture in it. Colman Domingo wore blue to symbolize the waters that fueled the Transatlantic voyages and the first dandy’s love for the hue. Vogue EIC Anna Wintour wore a brooch gifted to her by Karl Lagerfeld.
And when it came to revealing who tailored their sense of style growing up, Issa Rae revealed her mother, mom of five, loved to put on her Sunday’s best to do just about anything. Pusha T revealed he was inspired by the rappers of his era, while Steffon Diggs reflected on having no choice but to be fly growing up in DC.
Accessories like du-rags, bedazzled fans, top hats, and grills were big on the carpet. But Rihanna sported the best accessory, revealing her baby bump on the carpet after arriving around 10pm. It was a night of Black excellence that has led to the Costume Institute raising the most money for an exhibition ever. Black people, we did that!

It looks like Jordan Brand will continue to collaborate with Levi’s to bring their world famous denim material to customers’ feet as there is word that the next Jordan silhouette to get the denim remix is none other than the classic Air Jordan 3.
According to Sneaker News, Jordan Brand and Levi’s are working on turning the Air Jordan 3 into a jean-sporting silhouette. Following the success of their Air Jordan 4 “Levi’s,” it’s probably a safe bet that these too will fly off the shelves when they hit the streets some time in 2026. Though 2025 is becoming a historic year for sneakerheads as Nike and Jordan Brand are bringing back a plethora of classic silhouettes from yesteryear, it seems like 2026 will see Nike and Jordan Brand work on new collaborations and creations in an effort to create new classics.
Per Sneaker News:
Levi’s and Jordan Brand are expected to revive their partnership in 2026. According to sneaker leak source sneakermarketro, an Air Jordan 3 collaboration is poised for a Spring 2026 launch. Outside of a product SKU, there is no additional information regarding the shoes. While not confirmed, it’s possible that multiple colorways of the Levi’s Jordan 3 are in the works given Jordan Brand’s tendency to widen the options with collabs. Continue reading to learn more about the history of the Levi’s and Jordan Brand partnership.
We’re curious to see how this creation ends up looking once it’s all said and done because those Levi’s Jordan 1s weren’t it. We don’t care how limited they were.

Andre 3000 knows how to make an entrance. The fashion-forward rapper hit the 2025 Met Gala carpet literally wearing a piano on his back—and he wasn’t the only Hip-Hop favorite flexing on the red carpet, which was actually blue.
As HHW has previously noted, the 2025 Met Gala’s theme was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” was directly inspired by Monica L. Miller’s, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. Black Dandyism has a rich history and amounts to Black people going all out in expressing their creativity, and giving white supremacy the finger, and asserting their humanity by donning some epically fresh clothing.

The evening’s celebrity co-chairs were Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams and they all understood the assignment, delivering some stunning looks. But 3 Stacks may have stolen all their shine thanks to his choice in attire. Coincidentally, shortly after the OutKast rapper hit the carpet in a Burberry-designed outfit, his label Epic Records released his new album called 7 piano sketches—thus the big ass (relatively) piano on hos back. Don’t expect any new fire rap verses though, since as the title implies, it’s strictly Andre 3000 on the keys.
Nevertheless, 3 Stacks still have some heavy competition as Future, Doechie and Pusha T are just some of the Hip-Hop heavyweights who understood the night’s assignment brought the sartorial fire to the event.
See for yourself in the gallery.
Where do you even store a portable piano like that?

The theme is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. The culture will be on display this Monday, May 5, where the most fashionable celebs in the world gather on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC for the 2025 Met Gala. With a focus on Black Dandyism, men’s fashion will be center stage. And Anna Wintour honored this year’s co-chairs to the top men in fashion. All eyes will be on Pharrell, A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, and honorary co-chair, Lebron James, to set the bar for attendees. With only a few days til the Met Gala, we’re looking back at some of Rihanna and Cardi B’s Met Gala style evolution.
Rihanna: Queen Of The Met Gala

When it comes to literally shutting down the Met Gala, there are few celebrities who do it better, or are as highly-anticipated as Rihanna. Since 2007, RiRi has attended a staggering 10 Met Galas and stunned fashion fans worldwide each time with looks that further cemented her as one of the true fashionistas of our time.
Her intricate and regal golden Guy Pei gown from the 2015 event practically left fans gasping, as the long train flowed down the Met steps and allowed Rihanna to effortlessly steal the spotlight. In 2017, she opted for a sculpted Comme des Garcons look that was as intentional as it was bold, and as feminine as it was fierce. While pregnant in 2023, Rihanna proved that pregnancy couture is right up her alley in Chanel.
However, her most iconic look to grace the Met Gala so far was her 2018 interpretation of the Heavenly Bodies theme in her own take on Catholic fashion courtesy of Maison Margiela and John Galliano.

Cardi B doesn’t do anything on a small scale, and with her Met Gala debut in 2018, she quickly rose among the ranks of the fashion elite who always get it right and leave a lasting impression.
Generally favoring robust looks with long trains, coordinating headwear and opulent jewelry, Cardi has worn some of the fashion world’s biggest names to the Met Gala, including Jeremy Scott, Thom Browne, Versace, Miss Sohee, Chen Peng and Windowsen.
We know BardiGang can’t wait to see Cardi’s take on this year’s theme…and neither can we.

Every sneakerhead knows the struggles of keeping their white-on-white Air Force 1s fresh and clean throughout the summer months, but now, Nike is trying to flip the script and are about to drop some white Air Force 1s that already come dirty and dogged.
Source: Nike / NIke
According to Sneaker News, the “new” triple white Air Force 1s will come “fresh” out the box looking like a pair of discarded 1s you’d find hanging from power lines on the street, but actually get whiter the more you wear them. While we’re not sure why Nike would go this route (seriously), they’re going to release these and there’s nothing we can do to stop them.
Per Sneaker News:
Indeed, in an inversion of typical “wear away” releases, this metatextual Air Force 1comes pre-distressed a la a Golden Goose or a Balenciaga. A sheer layer over top eventually reveals a regular pair of Uptowns with regular use. Notably, Nike is also acknowledging those who prefer to rip the bandage off as soon as they unbox any such shoes — a toothproof attachment with this shoe allows you to do the dirty work immediately.
The .SWOOSH enterprise has been defined in recent months by their “Low Poly” run of Air Max 1s, first spinning off the OG “Sport Red” with Kai Cenat before executing a nostalgia-fueled trip through video games of old. However, this does fit in well with the sub-brand’s cheeky register they were establishing before those AM1s.While this shoe diverges from pairs like the Air Force 1 “404 Error” given its certifiable offline quality, it still upholds the AF1 as the face of the imprint, already established well with the “TINAJ” series and “Our Force 1” further back.
Yeah, we’re not sure the “Dirty Triple White” Air Force 1s are going to help Nike’s stock numbers rebound as Trump’s tariffs continue to loom over the sneaker industry, with heads knowing prices are about to jump in the near future.
The “Dirty Triple White” Air Force 1s are set to release on May 7 at the tune of $130. While we’re pretty sure these will brick, we wouldn’t be surprised if you see some hipsters out in the wild rocking these joints with pride. Then again, they could just be regular Air Force 1s that they’ve dogged beyond recognition because we won’t be able to tell one from another.
Would you cop the “Dirty” white-on-white Air Force 1s? Let us know in the comments section below.

Another Monday and another weekend filled with Kanye West social media outbursts that would’ve been deemed outrageous in any other normal timeline, but in this MAGA one it’s become par for the course.
A week after Kanye West admitted to having same-sex relations with his own cousin, the embattled and obviously off kilter rapper has decided to once again rehash his beef with the dearly departed and much revered designer, Virgil Abloh. During a livestream with Sneako over the weekend, Kanye West decided to take shots at the Off-White founder again and said that Virgil Abloh’s passing was basically karma for the designer stealing from Kanye West.
After going off on Cam’ron and 50 Cent for criticizing him, Kanye West suggested that he’s some sort of deity amongst humanity and said “Ni**as who go against me be dead, bro. Ni**as who steal, bro. Look at Virgil, he dead bro. Ni**as who steal from me and try to take the king position be dead bro.”
Virgl Abloh passed away from cancer in 2021. We’re not sure how Kanye West can associate a rare cardiac angiosarcoma diagnosis with someone stealing from him, but like we said, in this timeline it is what it is. Continuing to explain his status amongst us mere humans, Kanye added: “When we say ‘watch the throne,’ it’s only one throne. It’s only one king, and we know who the king is obviously. Who y’all watching, who y’all care about?”
Yeah, we can’t call it.
While many fans hope Kanye West seeks some kind of help or therapy to help him conquer whatever demons has him claiming Nazism and throwing shots at damn near every one of his Hip-Hop peers, it seems like this version of Kanye West is going to be sticking around for a while, and there’s nothing we can do about it.
We truly do miss the old Kanye West.
What do y’all think about Kanye West once again talking down on Virgil Abloh? Let us know in the comments section below.

Kendrick Lamar has extended his winning streak into high fashion. Chanel has named him their newest brand ambassador.
As per Hypebeast, Kendrick Lamar has formally partnered with the luxury apparel brand. In an exclusive report by Business of Fashion, he explained how a trip to France made the deal all came together. “[I] spent a week in Paris with their team and explored the brand history. I visited the Chanel ateliers and saw the process of how something goes from design to execution. Seeing the people who work hard and bring these visions to life resonates with me,” he explained via email. Kendrick would also go on to add that “Chanel has a timeless legacy and that is always something I can get behind. Since they don’t make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses.”
Prior to the announcement Chanel has played a role in several big moments in the “Not Like Us” MC’s storied career. He wore Chanel sunglasses in the “Luther” video featuring SZA. He and frequent collaborator Dave Free contributed to their Spring-Summer 2024 Haute Couture show with the curation of not only the stage set but also directing a short film titled The Button.
