Travis Kelce is aware that he’s a very lucky man. While chatting with guest Lil Dicky on the Wednesday (April 10) episode of his and older brother Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, the three-time Super Bowl champion admitted that he’s still perplexed by how successfully he wooed Taylor Swift last year, revealing that the pop star wasn’t even a football fan before he came into the picture.
The topic of Swift first came up when the Dave star remarked that Travis and the “Anti-Hero” singer’s romance is “the best thing ever,” adding, “I think there’s just something that makes everyone feel like the world is like high school, where your most popular pop star beloved musician somehow met your most popular beloved athlete and they actually fell in love and it’s just real.”
Trending on Billboard
“I appreciate it, man,” the tight end responded. “I don’t know how I did it because she wasn’t into sports, so I don’t know how the f–k I did it.”
When Lil Dicky started to remind Travis that he first caught Swift’s eye by mentioning her on a 2023 episode of New Heights — on which the athlete revealed he’d tried and failed to slip the musician a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at one of her Kansas City Eras Tour shows — the Ohio native hilariously cut the rapper-comedian off.
“Well you did because you called her out on…,” Lil Dicky began, to which Travis asserted, laughing, “No, 100%, I know exactly how I did it.”
Though she may not have paid much attention to the NFL before her romance with No. 87, Swift is definitely tuned in now. The 14-time Grammy winner was present at many of Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs games throughout the 2023-24 season, leading up to her attendance at this year’s Super Bowl, where, after the Chiefs took home their second victory in a row, she kissed her beau on the field.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift recalled in her December Time cover story. “We started hanging out right after that. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.”
Since the football season wrapped in February, Travis has been joining Swift on various Eras stops across the world. The trek is currently on pause as the “Karma” artist gears up to release her new album The Tortured Poets Department on April 19.

Emmanuel Acho, currently a sports analyst and a former professional athlete, is certainly qualified to speak on the happenings of the sports world. However, the former NFL linebacker delivered an awful take that he tried to dress up nicely regarding Angel Reese, and many of Acho’s peers are checking him while other fans are going at his well-manicured fade.
In a now-viral clip shared to social media, Emmanuel Acho, 33, appeared on his Fox Sports 1 program SPEAK to discuss Angel Reese and LSU falling to Caitlin Clark and Iowa during the NCAA Women’s Elite 8 games this past Monday (April 1). While Reese was doing her best while being reportedly hobbled by an injury, LSU fell to Iowa behind the scoring explosion from Clark.
In the postgame press conference, Reese, 21, tearfully explained that after her team defeated Iowa last year for the championship, the vitriol she’s experienced since that epic contest has been too much to bear.
“I’ve been through so much,” Reese said. “I’ve seen so much. I’ve been attacked so many times. Death threats. I’ve been sexualized. I’ve been threatened. I’ve been so many things.”
Despite this, Acho found it necessary to deliver what he framed as a “gender neutral and racially indifferent” —which doesn’t make any sense because you’re discussing a women’s basketball tournament contest featuring a Black woman who is a superstar opposite a white woman who is considered the next great hope for the game. That alone negates the low shot Acho took at Reese’s experience by comparing her tears to that of the animated character, Courage the Cowardly Dog.
People with far more access to Emmanuel Acho have checked him on his dressing down of Angel Reese and the accomplishments of her team. Others are dragging Acho’s name through the mud while others are muting his entire name from their feeds. What’s worse is that the MAGA nuts and closet racists loved the take because of course they did.

Ice Cube made waves by offering University of Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark $5 million to play up to 10 games in the Big3, which would certainly shift things for the popular 3-on-3 league. Ice Cube says that as of now, Caitlin Clark has yet to respond and even said he’d move things around to not interfere with the WNBA schedule.
Ice Cube sat down with The Pat McAfee Show to share the finer points of the deal and how he hasn’t heard back from Clark presumably because the Hawkeyes are in the middle of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. As Cube explains, Clark, 22, can earn major coin for just 10 weeks of play within the Big3 and he realizes it’d be a big boost for the league he co-founded.
Clark is no doubt going to be a top selection heading into the 2024 WNBA Draft, in which the Indiana Fever owns the top pick overall. Considering Clark’s massive star power and ice-cold game on the court, the Fever’s choice should be a no-brainer.

“Fashion is cyclical, but classics are forever,” Jay-Z said in a statement at the time. “Mitchell & Ness is a true classic. I was an early adopter of this brand, as well as a part of a departure from athletic wear. I’m proud to play a small role in bringing it back, and in some cases, introducing the authenticity and quality of the Mitchell & Ness brand to a new generation.”

Céline Dion was the honorary queen of the ice at the Boston Bruins vs. New York Rangers game Thursday (March 21), where she met with some of the players and enjoyed the day’s proceedings with her twin 13-year-old sons, Nelson and Eddy.
In clips captured by game attendees, Dion — who also shares 23-year-old René-Charles with late husband René Angélil — smiles and flashes a hand heart to the jumbotron as fans at the TD Garden in Boston roar with excitement. In another video, she and her boys, who sport matching Bruins jerseys, jam out to Bon Jovi’s 1986 smash “Livin’ on a Prayer,” the Canadian vocalist showing off her air-guitar moves.
Prior to the game, Dion joined the Bruins back in the locker rooms to read off that day’s lineup — adding her own flair, as any iconic diva would. “Up front, Heinen,” she began, angelically singing left wing Danton Heinen’s last name.
Trending on Billboard
“On defense, you better bite — Grizzy,” she continued, calling defenseman Matt Grzelcyk by his nickname and adding a dramatic pause. “Ooooh.”
The game marks a rare outing for Dion, who was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called Stiff-Person Syndrome a couple years ago. Earlier this month, she marked International SPS Day with a post on Instagram, writing, “Trying to overcome this autoimmune disorder has been one of the hardest experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible.”
She added, “I am deeply grateful for the love and support from my kids, family, team and all of you!”
Prior to the game — which saw the Rangers win 5-2 against the Bruins — Dion made a surprise appearance at the 2024 Grammys, where she presented Taylor Swift with album of the year for Midnights. In January, Amazon announced that a Prime Video documentary chronicling the “My Heart Will Go On” singer’s battle with SPS is in the works.
