Lizzo is officially kicking off Halloween 2024 with a creative new costume.
On Saturday (Oct. 25), the pop-rap sensation took to Instagram to showcase her self-described “LizzOzempic” outfit, inspired by a recent episode of South Park.

“Ok Halloween… you can start now,” Lizzo captioned a faux advertisement featuring herself alongside a mock prescription box for a weight loss drug.

The South Park episode, titled “The End of Obesity,” aired in May and comically critiqued the Ozempic trend, using Lizzo as an alternative to the popular medication. In the episode, Eric Cartman visits his doctor seeking Ozempic for weight loss. When he learns he can’t afford it, the doctor prescribes an unconventional solution: “I’m going to write you a prescription for Lizzo. She’s a really good singer who talks about body positivity,” he says. “I want you to listen to Lizzo five times a day and watch her videos before bed. I’m afraid you’ll have to be on Lizzo for the rest of your life.”

In another post showing off the Halloween getup, Lizzo clapped back at South Park by dancing to the show’s jingle and flipping off the camera. “Oh OH oh… it’s Lizzo b—,” she captioned the clip, which also included a Cartman cut out in the background.

The “About Damn Time” hitmaker also shared a clip of herself dancing next to someone wearing an inflatable Cartman costume. “It’s that time of year where I feed y’all so ridiculously, and you’re so very welcome, baby,” she captioned the video, soundtracked by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ “APT.”

When the South Park episode originally aired, Lizzo reacted on TikTok, expressing her surprise. “That’s crazy. I just feel like, damn, I’m really that b—-,” she said. “I showed the world how to love yourself, and now these men in Colorado know who the f— I am and put it in their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years.”

Lizzo has donned numerous imaginative Halloween costumes over the years, including outfits based on Tina Turner, Marge Simpson and Baby Yoda, among others.

Lizzo is sharing her thoughts on the new South Park episode.
On Friday (May 24), the long-running animated comedy series released its latest special, titled “The End of Obesity,” through Paramount+. The episode takes aim at the Ozempic craze and uses the pop-rap star singer as an alternative to the popular weight loss drug.

The special begins with South Park character Eric Cartman visiting his doctor’s office in an effort to get Ozempic as a way to drop some weight. Since he can’t afford the pricey drug and his insurance won’t cover it, the physician offers him another solution.

“I’m going to write you a prescription for Lizzo,” the doctor says. “She’s a really good singer who talks about body positivity, and just being happy with the way you look. I want you to listen to Lizzo five times a day, and watch her videos just before bedtime. I’m afraid you’ll have to be on Lizzo for the rest of your life.”

Lizzo caught wind of the joke and reacted to it with a TikTok video of herself watching a portion of the South Park episode and giving her thoughts.

“That’s crazy. I just feel like, damn, I’m really that b—-,” she says. “I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f— to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f— I am and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years.”

Earlier this month, Lizzo gave an update on her mental health amid lawsuits against her and frustration over public criticism toward.

“I’m the happiest I’ve been in 10 months,” she wrote on Instagram. “The strange thing about depression is you don’t know you’re in it until you’re out of it. I’m definitely not all the way as carefree as I used to be.. But the dark cloud that followed me every day is finally clearing up. My smile reaches my eyes again and that’s a win. I thought my album was finished.. but I gotta get some of these good vibes off in a banger real quick. Thanks for your patience.”

The “Good as Hell” singer has been under scrutiny over the past year, as she’s been involved in a harassment lawsuit brought by three of her former dancers in August 2023. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles by dancers Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez, accuses Lizzo and her Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc. of a wide range of legal wrongdoing and included dozens of pages of detailed allegations.

Lizzo denied the claims in a response shared to Twitter, calling them “false allegations” and “sensationalized stories.”

While the world awaits Drake’s Kendrick Lamar diss record to drop (and vice verse), K. Dot continues to move forward with his life outside of rap. He and pgLang co-founder Dave Free will team up with South Park creators Trey Park and Matt Stone for a new live-action comedy film set to drop next Summer.

According to Variety, the aforementioned comedy film is set to release July 4, 2025. Details on the project are being kept under wraps for the time being (such as the title, plot and film cast), but the fact that Kendrick Lamar and the team behind South Park are in is enough to get some big buzz going already. With more than a year to continue to build on that buzz, we expect to learn bits and pieces of what we can expect as time goes by. We’re excited to see what Paramount is cooking up for us Hip-Hop junkies.
Variety reports:

The news came as part of Paramount’s CinemaCon presentation, where the studio also debuted footage and trailers from its sequels to “Smile,” “Sonic the Hedgehog” and “Gladiator.” Paramount also announced it is rebooting the “Scary Movie” franchise.
From the stage, Paramount CEO Brian Robbins said: “This script is one of the funniest and most original scripts we’ve ever read and it’s certain to create some fireworks.” Get the pun?
The live-action comedy was written by Vernon Chatman. The studio didn’t share any details about what the film is about beyond the involvement of its top-shelf talent.
Lamar and PGLang partner Free will produce the project alongside Stone and Parker. The duo launched their company in 2020. Lamar has created such chart-topping hits as “Swimming Pools (Drank),” “Poetic Justice” and “The Blacker the Berry.” He also curated the soundtrack album for “Black Panther.”
By the time next Summer roles around we’ll know what role Kendrick Lamar will play in said film and maybe even know who “won” the battle between him and Drake (if those diss records ever release anyway).
What do y’all think of K. Dot and the South Park team working on a live-action comedy film together? Y’all have high hopes or nah? Let us know in the comments section below.

He already has a Pulitzer Prize and 17 Grammys to his name, but Kendrick Lamar could be adding a couple of new film awards to his crowded mantle soon. On the final day of CinemaCon (April 11), Paramount Pictures announced the new live-action comedy from Lamar and South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker begins shooting soon, and also revealed the release date.
“I’m excited to announce that we’re going into production this summer on a [comedy] from the creators of South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker,” Paramount film chief Brian Robbins revealed to the audience about the currently untitled film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “This script is one of the funniest and most original scripts we’ve ever read, and it’s certain to create some fireworks when it hits theaters on July 4, 2025.”

The Independence Day theatrical release for the film is apt considering its plot. Previously announced in 2022, the upcoming movie will “depict the past and present coming to a head when a young Black man, who is interning as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum, discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his,” according to a press release at the time.

During the presentation, Robbins also confirmed that the movie is set to begin shooting this summer. Lamar, along with Grammy winner Dave Free, will produce the picture through pgLang, a multidisciplinary communications company specializing in music and visual media that the two founded in 2020. Stone and Parker will produce via Park County, a media and entertainment company the two Emmy winners founded in 2012.

While Stone and Parker — who have been dabbling in musicals since 1993’s Cannibal! The Musical — await the debut of season 27 of South Park, the official announcement of their forthcoming film with Lamar follows a particularly active few months for the “Humble” rapper.

In March, Lamar teamed up with Future and Metro Boomin for the Billboard Hot 100-topping “Like That,” which include a fiery verse that found him throwing direct shots at fellow blog era superstars Drake and J. Cole. That musical battle has dominated headlines since, with J. Cole responding (“7 Minute Drill) and quickly retracting his reply, while Drake continues to keep fans waiting for his response to Lamar’s call-outs.

Although Lamar boasts four consecutive Billboard 200 chart-toppers and an eye-popping 72 career entires on the Hot 100 — including the No. 1 singles “Humble” (one week), “Bad Blood” (with Taylor Swift, one week) and “Like That” (two weeks) — he’s not the only collaborator on the forthcoming film with some Billboard chart success. On the chart dated July 24, 1999, the South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut soundtrack peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard 200.
