On Saturday, Cyrus took to TikTok to share scenes from her recent cruise with Royal Caribbean, which contained a major update about her relationship with the Dance Moms alum. A short clip in the video sees Siwa holding up a hot-pink egg from a game room, telling Cyrus (who is behind the camera), âThis is my âIâm sorry for breaking up with youâ present.â No reason for the split was explained in the video, though Cyrus inserted clips of her swimming in the ocean with Siwa.
Fans in the comments were pleased to see how well the pair was handling the split, with one user writing, âOk but I love how you guys still hung out like friends and all that while you were there! Super cool!â Another user wrote, âMe, the 1% population who is happy for you guys, together or apart! Put yourselves first, and just be happy. Weâre all still young.â
The 19-year-old Siwa initially confirmed her romance with Cyrus in September by sharing a sweet video of them together. In the clip, Siwa and Cyrus were seen posing together in a photo booth, smiling before leaning in for a kiss. âHappiest girl,â the dancer captioned the post.

Thereâs a new potential CEO in town for Twitter, at least according to a wildly popular poll.
After Elon Musk tweeted a poll to users asking if he should âstep downâ as head of Twitter, rapper and entrepreneur Snoop Dogg took a page out of the Tesla billionaireâs playbook by posting a poll of his own. âShould I run Twitter?â the 51-year-old Long Beach native asked Sunday (Dec. 18) evening. In less than 24 hours, over 2.3 million user responses have been recorded, with 81% â or approximately 1.7 million users â voting that the rap giant should be the new CEO.
Musk has the internet split over his brow-raising new changes to Twitter, with his own poll ending with a slight majority â 57.5% â voting he should step down from his position. Musk claimed in the tweet that he would âabide by the resultsâ of the poll, thus paving the way for a new leader of the platform, maybe even Snoop. But things didnât all boil down to a poll. Over a month ago during a Telsa-related trial, Musk testified that he is planning to find someone else to run Twitter and that he âfrankly [doesnât] want to be the CEO of any company.â

Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.â Elon Musk (@elonmusk) December 18, 2022
Musk has seemed to be in over his head since taking over Twitter. Just yesterday (Dec. 18), he established a policy banning links to other social media websites on Twitter, including Facebook, Instagram and Linktree, only to reverse the rule less than 24 hours later. Whether Snoopâs tweet was serious or just for laughs, a number of users are enthusiastic about the possibility. Many users joked about an under-the-influence Snoop calling the shots on Twitter in response to the rapper and weed aficionadoâs poll, with another user tweeting, âAll I want for Christmas is for Snoop Dogg to run Twitter.â
Thomas Wesley is riding his horse back into the collective consciousness.
In a video uploaded yesterday (Dec. 12) to TikTok, the producer sidles up to the check-in counter at a lavish hotel. âChecking in for Diplo?â the hotel concierge says. âNo, this time itâs Thomas Wesley,â counters the artist. He then winks at the camera before the video cuts to a shot of him strutting down a hallway while putting on a white cowboy hat while a clip of what is presumably his forthcoming country crossover plays.
The clipâs caption notes that âThomas Wesley is back in businessâ and IDs the song as âWasted,â a project with Kodak Black and emerging outlaw country singer Koe Wetzel. No release date for the song has been announced.

âWastedâ marks a return to country for Diplo, who released his debut album in the genre, Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley, Chapter 1: Snake Oil, in 2020. The lead single from the album, the Morgan Wallen collaboration âHeartless,â spent 39 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 29. The album, which also included collaborations with Leon Bridges, Noah Cyrus, Cam, Zac Brown, Julia Michaels and more, spent 25 weeks on the Billboard 200, and peaked at No. 50.
âWeâre reaching people without Nashville giving us the approval,â Diplo told Billboard of his work in the country genre in a 2020 cover story. âWe donât really need it. With streaming services, you donât need to be on the radio. Country records go for, like, a year to reach the charts. Iâm into that. Iâm learning from that.â

Selena Gomez is officially a Golden Globe nominee, and thereâs one person whoâs definitely very proud of her right now: Her younger self. To celebrate the news that sheâs been nominated for best actress in a TV series, musical or comedy at next yearâs awards, the 30-year-old star posted an old video in which she confesses in an interview that her big dream has always been to do exactly that.
Gomez shared the throwback to TikTok Tuesday (Dec. 13), one day after it was announced that her performance in Huluâs Only Murders in the Building had received a Golden Globe nod. In the video, a much younger Selena sits for a TV interview and talks about her experience attending that yearâs Grammy awards.
When an interviewer asks her if she aspires to receive a Grammy nomination of her own someday â which for the record, did end up happening in 2021, when her record RevelaciĂłn was in the running for best latin pop album â she says her sights are set more on acting-based awards.
âI think it would be an honor, of course, but Iâm more of a Golden Globe or Oscar girl,â young Selena says.
Modern day Selena captioned the TikTok: âDreams do come true!! GUYS IM NOMINATED FOR A GOLDEN GLOBE. brb gonna scream.â
Fans in the comments were quick to congratulate the âRareâ singer on the milestone. âLook at how far youâve come selena weâre so proud of you,â wrote one. âEmmy, grammy and golden globe nominations all in one year,â replied another, referencing Only Murdersâ Emmy recognition in this yearâs outstanding comedy series category. âWe call her slaylena for a reason.â
Fans have a little less than a month until the awards ceremony on Jan. 10 next year to see if Gomez will go from Golden Globe nominee to Golden Globe winner. Also nominated in the best TV actress category are Abbott Elementaryâs Quinta Brunson, The Flight Attendantâs Kaley Cuoco, Wednesdayâs Jenna Ortega and Hacksâ Jean Smart.

Twitter is once again attempting to launch its premium service, a month after a previous attempt by the company failed.
The social media platform said it would let users buy subscriptions to Twitter Blue to get a blue check mark and access special features starting Monday (Dec. 12).
The company owned by billionaire Elon Musk has also started granting a new gold-colored check mark to businesses on the platform. The gold label began appearing Monday on the account profiles for Coca-Cola, Nike, Google and dozens of other big corporations.
âThe gold checkmark indicates that the account is an official business account through Twitter Blue for Business,â the company says on a support web page.
Twitterâs blue check mark was originally given to companies, celebrities, government entities and journalists verified by the platform. After Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion in October, he launched a service granting blue checks to anyone who was willing to pay $8 a month. But it was inundated by imposter accounts, including those impersonating companies like Nintendo, pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and Muskâs businesses Tesla and SpaceX, so Twitter suspended the service days after its launch.
The relaunched service will cost $8 a month for web users and $11 a month for iPhone and iPad users. San Francisco-based Twitter says subscribers will see fewer ads, be able to post longer videos and have their tweets featured more prominently. Twitterâs website doesnât say if business accounts must pay extra for the gold label or if it is granted automatically.
Shania Twain is extending the love to Adele. The âMan! I Feel Like a Woman!â singer attended the 2022 Peopleâs Choice Awards on Tuesday night (Dec. 6), where she received the Music Icon honor, but took some time on the red carpet to share how she felt about Adele shouting her out on instagram after Twain attended the âEasy on Meâ singerâs Las Vegas residency.
âThat was so special. I only heard about it after. I didnât want to bother her before the show, and I just wanted to enjoy from the audience so she didnât realize I was there and that was kind of good,â she told Extra. âIt was cute. It was very sweet of her.â
Last month, Adele took to her Instagram Story to share how delighted she was to find out that the country singer was in the audience. âThank god you had a hat on ⌠I would have self combusted had I seen it was you!! I adore you, I canât believe you came to my show,â Adele captioned a snap of her performing, with Twain in a white cowboy hat off to the side.
In response, Twain reshared the snap to her own Story and wrote, âThank god we didnât make eye contact, all I can think of is the reaction of all those fans to @adele combusting halfway through the show [laughing emoji].â
Twain also took a moment on the Peopleâs Choice carpet to discuss what her forthcoming album Queen of Me means to her. âItâs really just about me coming into my own, you know, just feeling more comfortable in my own skin, she said.â

SZA is giving fans little crumbs regarding her relationship with Paramoreâs Hayley Williams.
With the R&B singerâs forthcoming album S.O.S. arriving this Friday (Dec. 9), SZA fans wanted to know: When will they see her collaborate with the Paramore frontwoman?
â@sza Hayley Williams x SZA collab when???â one fan demanded to know. Instead of giving an update, SZA replied in a Tuesday (Dec. 6) tweet, âI talk to her more than youâd think lol.â

The fan question arrives after SZA shared the 23-song track list for S.O.S. on Dec. 5. The LP includes several features, including Don Toliver on âUsed,â Phoebe Bridgers on âGhost in the Machine,â Travis Scott on âOpen Armsâ and the late Olâ Dirty Bastard on âForgiveless.â
The R&B singer covered Billboardâs R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players issue in November. In the story, she questioned the future of her career. âI feel like music, in this capacity, I donât see longevity,â SZA admitted. âI like to create, I like to write, I like to sing, and I like to share. But I donât know if chasing after superstardom or whatever Iâm supposed to be doing right now is sustainable for me or for anybody. Iâmma take a good swing at it, and Iâmma give âem my absolute best.â
S.O.S. follows the starâs 2017 debut, Ctrl, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and featured hits like âLove Galore,â âBroken Clocksâ and âThe Weekend.â

Kanye West fans are putting their feet down after his incendiary Hitler comments.
Following Yeâs interview on Alex Jonesâ InfoWars talk show on Thursday, fans have been flooding his dedicated Reddit page r/Kanye with posts showing their appreciation for the rapperâs adversary Taylor Swift instead, in addition to educational content about the Holocaust.
In a post to Yeâs subreddit, one of the users in the community shared a photo of Swift titled âThis is now a Taylor Swift Subreddit. We had a good run fellas.â The post quickly went viral, amassing several awards on the social media platform and over 36,000 upvotes and nearly 1,000 comments, some of which referenced lines from the pop starâs hit singles âBad Bloodâ and âAnti-Hero.â Others attempted to rewrite history by saying Swift wrote the rapperâs album Graduation and petitioned to âchange the subreddit name to Kanye (Taylorâs Version).â
While there were Swift jokes aplenty in the subreddit, the now-former fans of the rapper made serious posts to clear up Yeâs misinformation and shared graphic details and imagery to highlight how awful Hitlerâs actions were against Jewish people.
In Yeâs interview with Jones, he boldly claimed that he sees âgood things about Hitler also. I love everyone, and Jewish people are not going to tell me, âYou can love us and you can love what weâre doing to you with the contracts, and you can love what weâre pushing with the pornography.â But this guy that invented highways and invented the very microphone I use as a musician, you canât say out loud that this person ever did anything good and Iâm done with that. Iâm done with the classifications.â
Despite Jonesâ visible discomfort at the comments throughout the interview, Ye doubled down, adding, âI donât like the word âevilâ next to Nazis ⌠I love Jewish people, but I also love Nazis.â The rapper reiterated that itâs âtime to promote loveâ by declaring, âI do love Hitler. I do love the Zionists.â
In light of Yeâs comments, several celebrities have denounced the rapper via social media. His account was additionally suspended on Twitter after he shared a Star of David modified with a swastika to be the symbol for his 2024 presidential campaign.

During The 1975âs San Francisco show at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Tuesday (Nov. 29), love was in the air by the time fan favorite track âRobbersâ rolled around in the bandâs set, which saw frontman and lead singer Matty Healy stealing a brief, yet passionate smooch from bassist Ross MacDonald during the famous pause in the songâs dramatic outro.
âAnd Iâll shoot him if itâs what you ask / But if youâd just take off your mask/ Youâd find out everythingâs gone wrong,â Healy sings, before pulling in MacDonald for the kiss and playfully pushing him away to belt, âNow everybodyâs dead/ And theyâre driving past my old school.â
MacDonald seemed to enjoy Healyâs affections, taking to Instagram later on Tuesday to share a cinematic snap of the moment to his account, captioning it, âThe luckiest girl in the world.â Fans were understandably in awe of the moment, with one user commenting they âdonât know if Iâm jealous of you or mattyâ and another fan stating they âwish i was matty healy for once in my life.â
Healy and MacDonaldâs kiss is just one of many antics that have occurred during the bandâs At Their Very Best tour â last week, the vocalist kissed a fan onstage, also during âRobbers,â and in previous stops during the North American trek made waves for eating raw meat onstage.
The 1975 has a total of seven dates left in the North American leg of its At Their Very Best tour, with stops in Portland, Seattle, Toronto and more before concluding on Dec. 17 at Pittsburghâs UPMC Events Center.

When youâre nervous about saying something in public, the most common piece of advice is to imagine your audience in their underwear. Well, Sam Smith has something very public to say â and they just decided to flip that advice around.
In a new clip posted across their social media accounts on Wednesday (Nov. 30), Smith teased one of the songs off of their new album, titled âIâm Not Here To Make Friends.â In the video clip, Smith is seen looking over a tall balcony, wrapped in a pashmina. As they begin to mouth along with the words, the camera pans down to reveal theyâre wearing very little else; a pair of briefs and fishnets barely cover a dancing Betty Boop tattoo on the starâs thigh as they groove along to the track.
The song clip itself offers yet another new sound for Smith as they venture into disco â a four on the floor beat pairs with a grooving baseline as Smith croons about what theyâre ready to offer a lover. âI could ease your appetite/ No youâve never been this high,â they sing. âDonât be scared if you like it/ âCause Iâm not here to make friends.â
The new teaser comes as Smith continues to ride the high of âUnholyâ â the Kim Petras collab spent its ninth week on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 3, as well as a seventh week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S this week. Both âUnholyâ and âIâm Not Here To Make Friendsâ are set to appear on Smithâs fourth studio album Gloria, which is due out Jan. 27 via Capitol Records.
