Lizzo is the latest pop star to be memorialized in wax. On Tuesday, the “About Damn Time” singer revealed that she has officially entered the Madame Tussauds wax museum and posed for pictures with her wax counterpart in Las Vegas.

“Single-handedly one of the most terrifyingly meta moments of my life. Thank you @MadameTussauds,” Lizzo wrote on Twitter, captioning a video of her nearly sharing a kiss with her body double. “Now I know what a twosome with Lizzo is like,” she quipped.

Lizzo’s wax figure features the look she wore to the 2020 Grammy Awards: a stunning white Atelier Versace dress hand-embroidered in Swarovski crystals. She accessorized the gown — which, according to the pop singer’s stylist Marko Monroe, took more than two months to make — with a crystal-encrusted fur stole draped over her arms. (That night, the pop star took home three awards: best contemporary album for Cuz I Love You, best pop solo performance for “Truth Hurts,” and best traditional R&B performance for “Jerome.”)

The three-time Grammy winner shared photos of her posing alongside her wax figure on her Instagram Story, as well as a series of hilarious videos of her with the wax figure to her TikTok. “Introducing WAXXO,” she captioned one of the videos. In a separate TikTok, she cheekily asked a user, “What would you do with 2 Lizzos?”

Lizzo’s wax figure will be on view at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas in the Venetian casino and resort. Her figure joins the museum’s most recent additions, including Missy Elliott, Beyoncé, RuPaul and more.

Sophie Turner is gushing with pride over her husband, Joe Jonas, and the Jonas Brothers‘ latest career milestone.

The Game of Thrones actress was present Monday when Joe, Kevin and Nick received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and she took to Instagram on Tuesday (Jan. 31) to express just how proud she is of her family.

“To see the hard work and love and light you boys bring to your music… it’s an honor just to watch from the sidelines,” Turner captioned a photo from the event, in which she, Joe and her famous in-laws posed for commemorative photos.

“After almost 20 years of hard work, you boys are so deserving of this. I’m so lucky to count you as family. I’m proud of you every day,” she added, placing a shining star and red heart emoji at the end of her post.

The Jonas Brothers were equally excited to become Walk of Famers — so much so that during the ceremony, the brothers celebrated the achievement by announcing that their new project, The Album, is arriving on May 5.

“It’s nice to reflect on this nearly 20-year journey and to commemorate it here today, but we’re looking towards the future and what’s coming next,” Nick said during the ceremony. “So with that, I think that we should make a quick announcement. We are excited to announce today that our new album, The Album, will be coming out May 5th, and we can’t wait to see you on tour later this year.”

He just couldn’t help himself. Joe Jonas leaked a snippet of the Jonas Brothers‘ new song “Wings” on social media on Sunday (Jan. 29).

“Guys, we got the mix of our new song ‘Wings’ and, umm, I don’t care, I just want you to hear it. C’mon,” the middle JoBro says before heading inside to the studio where his siblings are taking in the unreleased track.

As the trio blast the song, Nick Jonas can be heard crooning, “You are the wings I need to fly away,” before the beat drops and he tosses the mic to Joe, who belts out, “When you give me love, I feel it/ I feel it, I feel it/ Got me runnin’ through the ceilin’/ The ceilin’, the ceilin’/ And my love, it never had a meanin’/ A meanin, a meanin’/ You gave me a reason, you got me believin’/ You’re makin’ me say.”

“Wings” is slated to be included on the tracklist for the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming sixth studio set, a follow-up to No. 1 album Happiness Begins from 2019. Previously, the band called the song one of their favorites off the forthcoming, Jon Bellion-helmed LP in a sit-down with Variety. (Kevin Jonas also named the as-yet-unheard “Vacation Eyes” as his personal favorite, while Nick was torn between “Little Bird” and “Waffle House.”)

Ahead of the album’s unveiling, Joe, Nick and Kevin will be receiving their very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday afternoon (Jan. 30).

Britney Spears is standing up to her fans and politely asking them to respect her privacy going forward. On Thursday (Jan. 26), the “…Baby One More Time” singer took to Twitter to discuss a recent incident in which authorities were reportedly called to her house on Tuesday night (Jan. 23) to perform a wellness check on her after she deleted her Instagram account.

“As everyone knows the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded,” Spears wrote in a text post. “The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately.”

TMZ was the first to report the news, and stated that the Ventura Co. Sheriff’s Office started receiving calls about Spears after 11 p.m. on Tuesday night. According to the outlet, “authorities went to her home out of an abundance of caution,” though the 41-year-old has deleted her Instagram account multiple times prior to the new incident.

Spear continued in her note, “This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media. During this time in my life, I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward. All the love, B.”

Fans calling the police after Spears deleted Instagram comes a little over a month after her husband, Sam Asghari, asked fans to ease up on their scrutiny of Spears’ own Instagram activity. “Social media can be traumatizing,” he wrote in his Instagram Story on Dec. 8. “Sometimes it’s good to take a break. She has her voice and is a free woman.” in the same story, he added, “I have respect for her privacy and I protect it at all times.”

Apple Martin has officially made her debut at Fashion Week.

On Tuesday night (Jan. 24), the teenager — the daughter and eldest child of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin — attended Chanel’s Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2023 show at Paris Fashion Week.

The 18-year-old looked elegant in a two-piece set designed by the esteemed French fashion house, wearing a black-and-white plaid printed mini dress made of Chanel’s signature tweed fabric and matching jacket. Apple topped off the look with chunky-heeled shoes, a crossbody Chanel bag and shiny blond hair reminiscent of her mother’s.

Gwyneth Paltrow was in disbelief when her daughter turned 18 last year, lamenting back in May about Apple’s milestone birthday.

“18. I’m a bit of a loss for words this morning,” she wrote. “I could not be more proud of the woman you are. You are everything I could have dreamed of and so much more. Proud doesn’t cover it, my heart swells with feelings I can’t put in to words. You are deeply extraordinary in every way. Happy birthday my darling girl. I hope you know how special you are, and how much light you have brought to all who are lucky enough to know you. Especially me. I say it all the time and I will never stop… in the words of auntie Drew, I was born the day you were born.”

After the 2023 Academy Awards nominations were revealed on Tuesday (Jan. 24), Lady Gaga officially became a four-time Oscar nominee.

While the “Bloody Mary” singer has yet to share her feelings about being a contender at this year’s ceremony, former Love for Sale and Cheek to Cheek collaborator Tony Bennett extended his congrats to his dear friend.

“Congratulations to the amazingly talented @ladygaga on her 4th Oscar nomination!” the 96-year-old wrote via Twitter. “Today, Lady Gaga makes history as the first artist to receive three nominations in the Best Original Song category at the #Oscars. So proud of you!”

As Bennett mentioned, Gaga is nominated in the best original song category for “Hold My Hand,” from the Tom Cruise-starring Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack. The track, which was written and produced by the pop star alongside BloodPop, peaked at No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Gaga was previously nominated in the best original song category at the Oscars in 2016 for “Til It Happens to You,” co-written with Diane Warren, from The Hunting Ground documentary. In 2019, she earned a best original song nom for “Shallow” from A Star Is Born — and won in the category — and made it into the best actress category for starring in the movie as Ally Maine.

“Hold My Hand” is currently nominated at the Grammy Awards for best song written for visual media; Gaga is also nominated for her work on the soundtrack in the best compilation soundtrack for visual media category.

In 2022, the singer was nominated alongside Bennett for their joint album, Love for Sale, which was up for album of the year and best traditional pop vocal album, the latter of which they won. The album’s track “I Get a Kick Out of You” was also nominated for best music video, best pop duo/group performance and record of the year. Their 2014 album, Cheek to Cheek, also won in the best traditional pop vocal album category.

Kelsea Ballerini has officially added more ink to her body, bringing her grand total to four tattoos — or “little baby tats” in her own words. The country singer hopped online for an “Ask Me Anything” session via her Instagram Stories, and revealed her new body art.

A fan during the Q&A session asked, “new tattoos?” in the AMA box, to which the “Hole in the Bottle” singer shared a picture of her posing in the mirror in a green bikini, showing off her new body art: a tiny wave.

“I got a little wave on my hip,” she told the inquiring fan. And apparently, the new ink has been a long time coming — “I’ve been wanting it since 2016 and just randomly one day did it. it’s my fourth little baby tat. kinda want more. kinda don’t want my mom to kill me,” she added.

The singer shed light on how she got her first tattoo in a 2021 interview with Shape. “This is a story I’ve never told publicly. The day before my first photo shoot, I panicked because I wanted a tattoo but didn’t have one yet,” she said. “And I was like, What if this single [‘Love Me Like You Mean It’] works and people start to follow me? Then all of a sudden, I get a tattoo. People will be like, ‘She’s going off the deep end.’”

That first tattoo, Ballerini revealed, ended up being the “how sweet the sound” lyric from “Amazing Grace” on her left forearm. “It was just this youthfully innocent way of saying, ‘I’ve got to be who I am from the beginning of this,’” she added. “A lot of artists and public people have a persona that they step into, but I can’t do that. I don’t want any surprises. I just want it all to be out there.”

The National are teasing their next project, and it’s shaping up to be a high-profile one.
On Friday (Jan. 13), the group uploaded a video of lead singer Matt Berninger in a sepia-toned clip sitting at a piano bench and reading a copy of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein as a sparse, piano instrumental softly plays in the background.

The short video clip also included a link to a password-protected page on their website, americanmary.com/lp9. Fans were quick find out how to access the page (spoiler alert: “EVIL FOREBODINGS” unlocks the mysterious link).

When opened, the page features a video with the same piano melody, which later follows into a more drum-heavy instrumental, soundtracking a green novel with its first two pages exposed. The book starts off with a letter addressed “To Mrs. Bridgers, England” — as in Phoebe Bridgers — and has two other notable mentions throughout the text: “Taylor” Swift and “Uncle Sufjan” Stevens.

Naturally, fans were ecstatic to learn The National would be working with Swift, Bridgers and Stevens on a new project. “TAYLOR PHOEBE SUFJAN AND THE NATIONAL ON THE SAME ALBUM WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS,” one fan wrote on the band’s Instagram post, while another fan speculated that keywords in the letter reveal “a tracklist for the new album: Poolside, Alcott, Ice Machines, Your Mind is Not Your Friend, Alien, Tropic Morning News, Eucalyptus, This Isn’t Helping, and Grease in Your Hair!”

The National released their most recent album, I Am Easy to Find, in 2019. In the following years, bandmembers Bryan Devendorf, Aaron Dessner and Bryce Dessner teamed up with Swift on 2020’s folklore and evermore albums, introducing the band to Swift’s wide-reaching fanbase.

Ashley Tisdale detailed her struggle with alopecia in a new social media post on Wednesday (Jan. 11).

“In my young twenties, I noticed that there was, like, a little bit of a bald spot right at my hair line,” the High School Musical star said in the video. “And I asked my hair colorist, ‘What is that?’ And she was like, ‘Oh, that’s alopecia.’ I didn’t even know what that was.

After receiving an official diagnosis from her dermatologist, the actress learned the condition is “autoimmune, and a lot of it’s triggered by stress.”

“Any type of hair loss can affect your self-esteem, especially if you feel like you’re the only one going through it. That’s why I want to talk about it openly—because it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Sometimes it’s connected to hormones, other times to heredity, and for me, it’s connected to stress overload,” Tisdale added in the caption of the post.

The “Love Me & Let Me Go” singer went on to share a few of the solutions that have helped her deal with alopecia over the years, from stress management techniques like yoga, meditation and therapy to using platelet rich plasma and investing in the auto-immune paleo diet.

Back in August, the Disney Channel alum stepped back into the shoes of Sharpay Evans for a TikTok recreation of “I Want It All” from High School Musical 3, co-starring social media personality Chris Olsen in lieu of her co-star Lucas Grabeel.

Naya Rivera would have turned 36 years old Thursday (Jan. 12). In a heartbreaking Instagram post, her ex-husband Ryan Dorsey marked the hollow occasion by paying tribute to the beloved Glee star, who died in a tragic drowning accident two years ago.

Dorsey, who was married to Rivera from 2014 to 2018, shared a trio of photos of the late actress smiling alongside their son, Josey, who turned 7 last year. “A little easier with each little bit of time that passes by to look at pictures…but I still don’t have the answers to the questions to the why’s our sweet boy asks from time to time,” he wrote. “I never will.”

“Doing the best we can,” he added. “Fly high.”

Josey was with Rivera on the day she died in July 2020, found sleeping alone on a boat the Sorry Not Sorry author had rented earlier that day in Lake Piru in Southern California. Rivera’s body was found five days later, and it is believed that she saved Josey’s life by pushing him safely onto the boat before she drowned.

“If you’re reading this no matter what you’re going through, take a moment of gratitude that you’re still here on this ride,” Dorsey concluded his post. “I know some days are harder than others to get up, but keep we just gotta keep pushing onward.”

This marks three years of birthdays Rivera has missed since she died at age 33. Last year, Dorsey honored her on what would have been her 35th birthday, telling People, “At least once a day I find myself shaking my head, like it’s still unbelievable, so surreal that she’s gone.”

“She’d be freaking out today, I could almost hear her: ‘OMG, I’m almost 40!’” he added. “It’s hard to write this, tears coming out my eyes. Unf—ing real.”
