Get ready, MYs! aespa is gearing up to release its third mini album, and it’s arriving much sooner than you think. On Monday (April 17), the K-pop group — which consists of members Giselle, Karina, NingNing and Winter — announced the title of the forthcoming project and dates pertaining to its release.
“aespa to release 3rd mini album ‘MY WORLD’ on May 8th and warm up for the comeback with the pre-released single ‘Welcome To MY World’ on May 2nd! Pre-orders start today!” the quartet’s official Twitter account revealed, alongside a series of teaser images of the album title, MY WORLD, in balloon lettering.
The album announcement was released alongside the project’s introductory teaser, which featured Giselle, Karina, NingNing and Winter in white outfits surrounded by a rocky landscape and other arid locations. Guitar-based instrumentals fade in toward the end of the brief trailer, as NingNing delicately sings the title of the pre-release single, “Welcome To MY World.”
MY WORLD will mark aespa’s second album following the release of Girls in 2022. The set ranked at No. 3 on the all-genre Billboard 200, and spent a total of three weeks on the chart. The K-pop stars most recently released single “Hold On Tight,” which appeared on the Tetris original film soundtrack.
The album news is likely a sigh of relief for MYs, as asepa debuted several new and unreleased tracks during its SYNK: HYPER LINE concert back in February.

Doja Cat is above the demonic discourse — if anything, it amuses her. The “Need to Know” rapper inadvertently reignited satanic panic on Sunday (April 16) after revealing her new tattoo of a scaled, animal figure crossbred with female attributes, and she had some choice words for those claiming she is engaging in unholy behavior.
In response to a tweet regarding her forthcoming album, one Twitter user enquired, “What’s the point of writing your music and creating something if it isn’t considered timeless?! I HOPE THAT THIS ALBUM has no demonic influence. If it does, not worth listening to. I said what I said. If you don’t like it, take your grievances to @god and @jesus.” Doja’s response? “Slay girl yas.”
A separate user also questioned the 27-year-old rapper’s recent postings, writing, “I show up when it’s time for their soul to GO TO HELL. Now play on that @dojacat, the only person in a ritual putting demonic s–t on my page,” to which Doja replied, “Honestly werk.” The rapper later made a follow-up to both tweets, asserting that she loves when people accuse of her of being satanic. “If ur calling me demonic honestly werk cuz like i love that u ate fr,” she wrote.
After showing off her tattoo on Instagram, Doja made a follow-up post that contained an explanation regarding her ink’s origins, captioning the photos, “your fear is not my problem.” A slide in the carousel explained that the semi-animal creature that now lives on her forearm is inspired by Fortunio Liceti’s 1655 Monsters series, where he made illustrations inspired by deformities in nature.
Some fans on Instagram supported the rapper’s tattoo — and open mindset — in the comments section. “People want to scream the words demonic or illuminate [sic] at the sight of anything they’re unfamiliar with,” one user wrote. Another fan added, “Quite a wholesome and profound inspiration to draw from. Finding beauty in our imperfections. Makes me even more excited for this album.”

It’s beginning to sound like Elon Musk is regretting buying Twitter.
Elon Musk has successfully made Twitter a dumpster fire, and rightfully longtime users of the app have been taking Phony Stark to task for ruining the platform.
In a recent sit-down interview with BBC North America tech reporter James Clayton at Twitter HQ, Musk called the acquisition “quite painful,” From what it sounded like; he is expressing some buyer’s remorse after dropping $44 billion on Twitter.
“I’ve been under constant attack, Musk said. “It’s not like I have a stone-cold heart or anything. If you’re under constant criticism or attack and that gets fed to you, including through Twitter – it’s rough, you know. Now at the end of the day, I think if you do lose your feedback loop that’s not good so I think it is important to get negative feedback. I don’t turn replies off, and I removed my entire block list, so I don’t block anyone either. So I get a lot of negative feedback.”
“If the media is writing non-stop stories about why you’re a horrible person, I mean, you know, it’s hurtful, obviously,” Musk continued.
Awwww, poor Elon.
Musk Admits To Having An “Odd” Relationship With The News Media
Clayton then asked Musk if his relationship with the news media is “odd.” “It is somewhat of a love-hate relationship, although it might be [going] a little more towards the hate,” Musk told Clayton.
“This is part and parcel of having a free media situation. I do take heart in that the media is actually able to trash me on a regular basis in the U.S. and the U.K. and whatnot. Whereas in a lot of places, the media cannot say mean things to powerful people. But I think it’s better that we have a situation where the media can say mean things to powerful people.”
Elon Musk Admits To Enjoying Taking Away NYT’s Legacy Verification Badge
When the hot topic of taking away legacy verification badges from media companies like the New York Times and whether or not it would lead to a misinformation problem on the platform, Musk pretty much confirmed how much of a jerk he is.
I must confess to some delight in removing the verification badge from the New York Times,” Musk said. “Anyway, they’re still alive and well, so they’re doing well.”
Word on the e-streets is that Elon Musk is preparing to snatch away the blue checks and companies who will not pay the money to keep their verification badges.
He also claims if he can find someone willing to buy Twitter, we are hoping someone steps up to the plate to take Twitter off his hands because he sucks at this job.

National Public Radio is quitting Twitter after the social media platform owned by Elon Musk stamped NPR’s main account with labels the news organization says are meant to undermine its credibility.
“NPR’s organizational accounts will no longer be active on Twitter because the platform is taking actions that undermine our credibility by falsely implying that we are not editorially independent,” NPR said in a statement Wednesday.
Last week, Twitter labeled NPR’s main account as “state-affiliated media” on the social media site, a label also used to identify media outlets that are controlled or heavily influenced by authoritarian governments. Twitter later changed the label to “government-funded media” and gave it to at least one other public news organization, the BBC.
“We are not putting our journalism on platforms that have demonstrated an interest in undermining our credibility and the public’s understanding of our editorial independence,” NPR’s statement said.
The Public Broadcasting Service said Wednesday it has also stopped tweeting from its main account because of its new label and has no plans to resume. PBS said: “We are continuing to monitor the ever-changing situation closely.”
NPR’s main account had not tweeted since April 4. On Wednesday, it sent a series of tweets listing other places to find its journalism.
The company said NPR journalists, employees and member stations can decide on their own if they want to keep using the platform.
NPR’s chief communications officer, Isabel Lara, said in an email that “NPR journalists and employees will decide on their own if they wish to remain on the platform, same for NPR member stations as they’re independently owned and operated.”
NPR does receive U.S. government funding through grants from federal agencies and departments, along with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The company said it accounts for less than 1% of NPR’s annual operating budget.
Twitter’s new labels have often appeared arbitrarily assigned. It tagged NPR with the “state-affiliated” label after Musk participated in a public conversation about NPR on Twitter, and then deleted mention of NPR, but left up BBC, on a web page where it described why they should not get that label.
Since then, it has given NPR, BBC and some other groups a “government-funded” label but hasn’t done the same for many other public media outlets, such as their counterparts in Canada and Australia.
In an interview Tuesday with a BBC technology reporter at Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters, Musk acknowledged that the British news organization “is not thrilled” about the state-affiliated labels and asked the reporter for feedback.
“Our goal was simply to be as truthful and accurate as possible,” Musk said. “So I think we’re adjusting the label to be ‘publicly funded,’ which I think is perhaps not too objectionable. We’re trying to be accurate.”
Selena Gomez is giving fans another look at her unfiltered self — this time, in a throwback photo with one of her closest friends. The Only Murders in the Building actress shared a photo with her “bestie” Connar Franklin when they were experiencing severe bedhead as tweens.
“What do we do during our sleep that this is the result?” Gomez captioned a photo of her and Franklin, much younger and giving a deadpan look into the camera while wearing matching wolf T-shirts. “I thought I never moved.. love you bestie,” the singer added.
While fans praised the singer for sharing a stripped-back and funny, unfiltered photo, Franklin chimed in the comments section to write, “love you [crying emojis] serving some looks lol — the shirts are getting me.” Hulu’s official Instagram account also chimed in, writing, “if you don’t own at least one wolf shirt, we can’t be friends.”
The laidback photo is far from the first that fans have seen of Gomez in recent months. In February, the “Lose You to Love Me” singer was praised for sharing a set of makeup-free photos, also to her Instagram. “Finally a celebrity who shows herself without filters or masks of make up and she is truly beautiful, in a way than could help people ([especially] girls) on understanding that we don’t need so many tricks to appear at our best,” a Selenator wrote at the time. “The most important thing is just being yourself and be proud on presenting you as you are.”

When Jimin touched down in New York City to promote his solo debut album FACE, Vogue caught it all on video. The fashion magazine released a day-in-the-life video with the BTS singer in which he gets ready to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The video kicks off with the K-pop star taking a look through his wardrobe for his upcoming television performance. “I’ll be performing at the Jimmy Fallon show tomorrow. The vibe of this outfit is a bit like I’ve become the star in the club, this sparkling outfit,” he excitedly tells the camera.
Appearing on Fallon was a major full-circle moment for Jimin. “The place I’m shooting at tomorrow, right around that located is where I first performed in the U.S., for 20,000 to 30,000 people,” he explained. “ARMY is the name of our BTS fanbase. ARMY would translate all our songs in English for us and keep sending them to America. Then, thanks to our American fans, we could get played on the radio. That’s how I was able to come here. This time, I’m releasing my first solo album.”
The K-pop vocalist then caught up with record producer Pdogg, who played a crucial role in helping craft FACE. “Last time I was in the States, I spoke with the other BTS members about how I wanted to make an album, so I called Pdogg right away and he immediately told me to come over,” Jimin said. “So we met up and talked about what kind of songs I wanted to make.”
After a brief stop to go record shopping, Jimin heads to the studio to perfect his dance moves before appearing on television.

The arrival of a new Drake song is imminent. On Thursday (April 6), the rapper announced the song “Search & Rescue” in an Instagram post.
“SEARCH & RESCUE OUT AT MIDNIGHT ON ALL PLATFORMS,” the rapper wrote, captioning a photo of him and a girl wearing glossy black motorcycle helmets.
In the photo, Drizzy tagged two producers: BNYX, who has worked with Coi Leray and Yeat on recent tracks, and Sadpony, who produced Drake’s “Jumbotron Sh– Poppin” collaboration with 21 Savage, which appeared on 2022’s Her Loss.
While fans will have to wait just a few more hours to hear the track in full, Drake teased a portion of the song — which was then thought to be titled “Rescue Me” — during The Fry Yiy Show on his SiriusXM Radio station Sound 42 late last week. The track features audio of Kim Kardashian talking about her relationship with ex-husband Kanye West in the E! series finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2021. “I didn’t come this far, just to come this far and not be happy, remember that,” she says in the sample.
The sample prompted fans to speculate if Drake was taking a shot at West, who now goes by Ye, but the rapper’s father, Dennis Graham, shot down the rumors in the comments section of TMZ‘s Instagram account. “Drake is not trolling anyone, it’s just a song, Why try and create a Kanye and Drake beef again???????????????” he wrote.

It’s all eyes on BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo, as the rollout for her debut solo album ME continues. The K-pop star is keeping the hype going with the release of a dance practice video for her project’s lead single, “FLOWER,” on Wednesday (April 5), which means fans can now learn the steps to the song’s catchy choreography with ease.
The new visual features the vocalist accompanied by a series of backup dancers wearing all black. Jisoo shines in the visual, wearing a gown made of an ethereal white tulle material and flowers on the inside of her palms that make an appearance toward the chorus’ dance break.
The dance video comes at the perfect time, as Jisoo formally announced a TikTok “Flower” dance challenge, in which fans of the track can show off videos of themselves performing the song’s intricate choreography in their own style. Fellow bandmate Rosé already got in on the trend, sharing a video of her dancing to the track on her TikTok account in support of Jisoo’s release.
The K-pop star’s solo project was crowned fans’ favorite new music release of the past week. A testament to the power of K-pop fans, ME brought in more than 66% of the vote and beat out new music releases from Taylor Swift, Melanie Martinez, Boygenius and more.

Paramore‘s self-titled album has taken its 10th trip around the sun, and to celebrate the LP’s milestone anniversary, lead singer Hayley Williams shared a few words with fans on social media Wednesday (April 5) thanking them for their support during a tumultuous time for the band.
“10 years ago, we put out a record that took a lot of guts and self-determination to make. Mainly because after losing 2 members of the band [Josh and Zac Farro] there was so much discourse around whether or not the band could make anything worthwhile – let alone stay together,” Williams began the message.
She continued, “The story of Paramore has been rife with reality show-style drama. Well, until the last 6 or 7 years. It’s really great to be able to look back from where we are now, knowing the story didn’t end when some said it would. If all that led to our Self-Titled album hadn’t happened, we’d be the most boring band of all time. If we hadn’t been forced out of our trauma-bonded comfort zones, we would’ve never known what we might be capable of.”
After taking a moment to thank some of the contributing musicians on the project — Justin Meldal-Johnsen (production, songwriting, keys and percussion), Carlos de la Garza (percussion, engineering) and Ken Andrew of Failure (mixing, keys and back up vocals) — the singer then turned her message outward to the fans, who she says were responsible for giving the band creative freedom through their continued support.
“Taylor [York] and I wrote these songs having no idea if people would accept a reformed, more liberated version of Paramore. Our fans not only accepted but championed our rebirth,” Williams concluded her message. “Thank you for allowing us the room for creative risk and for keeping this story going. We love you. Paramore forever.”
Released April 5, 2013, Paramore became the band’s first and only album to hit No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. The LP spawned four singles: “Now,” “Daydreaming,” “Ain’t It Fun” and “Still Into You,” with the latter two charting at Nos. 10 and 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, respectively. “Ain’t It Fun,” in addition to its Billboard chart success, earned Paramore their first Grammy Award in the best rock song category at the 57th annual ceremony, making Williams the first woman to win the award since Alanis Morissette in 1999.
Other fan favorites on Paramore’s self-titled album include the sentimental track “Last Hope” and “Part II,” which references lyrics from “Let the Flames Begin” from the band’s 2007 breakthrough release, RIOT!
