Bad Bunny‘s acting and comedy chops were on full display during Saturday Night Live on Oct. 21. Bad Bunny was supported by some huge stars while pulling double duty as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
During Saturday’s (Oct. 21) episode, the Puerto Rican star was introduced by Lady Gaga for his first musical performance, appeared in a telenovela sketch alongside a moustached Mick Jagger, and got some interpreting help from Pedro Pascal during the monologue.

Prior to Benito’s performance of “Un Preview,” from his latest album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, Gaga surprised viewers by stepping onstage to announce in a Spanish accent, “Puerto Rico y todo el corillo, Bad Bunny!” It marked the pop star and actress’ first SNL appearance since 2016.

Elsewhere in the episode, Jagger appeared in the “Telenovela” sketch with Bunny, who portrayed a Spanish soap opera actor who gets slapped multiple times by his villainous father, played by the iconic Rolling Stones singer. Jagger made another cameo during the “Convent Meeting” skit, a hilarious parody of Sister Act 3.

The NBC comedy show kicked off with a monologue from Bad Bunny, featuring Last of Us star Pascal, who showed up to assist with translating and give the music star comical advice for his opener. Pascal later appeared in a skit as an overprotective mother alongside the Puerto Rican rapper-singer.

Bad Bunny, who previously appeared as a guest on SNL in 2021, recently celebrated the release of his fifth studio album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana. The set serves as a follow-up to his blockbuster 2022 album, Un Verano Sin Ti, which topped the Billboard 200 for 13 weeks.

Bad Bunny is burning the candle at both ends as he prepares to host and perform on Saturday Night Live Oct. 21 — and when it’s all over, he’s ready for a nap. The Latin music titan stopped by The Tonight Show on Thursday night (Oct. 19), two days ahead of his hosting debut, and […]

Before you visit Bad Bunny‘s native island, you better learn how to pronounce its name.
In brand-new promos for his upcoming appearance as host and musical guest on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, Benito schools castmember Heidi Gardner on how to pronounce “Puerto Rico.”

“I’ve always wanted to go to Port-oh Reek-oh,” Gardner says, butchering the commonwealth’s name.

“Puerto Rico,” Bunny corrects.

“Sorry, Port-oh Reek-oh!” Gardner repeats.

After trying again, the superstar artist gives up: “You know what? Don’t go, please.”

Elsewhere in the promos, Gardner compliments “the message” of Bad Bunny’s music but says she “can’t say it.” “Because it’s in Spanish?” he asks. No, she responds, before saying her bleeped-out response. “OK, you can’t say that on TV,” Bunny admits with a laugh.

He also valiantly saves Gardner from a mosquito during their promo shoot. Watch the new promos below:

Bad Bunny made his first appearance on SNL in April 2020 with a cameo during a pandemic-era Saturday Night Live at Home episode. He made his debut as a musical guest in February 2021 (and acted in a couple of sketches) alongside Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page as the host. This weekend’s episode will mark Bad Bunny’s first time hosting.

The NBC late-night staple returned for its 49th season this past weekend, with Pete Davidson hosting and Ice Spice as the musical guest. Former SNL castmember Davidson was supposed to host the show back on May 6, alongside musical guest Lil Uzi Vert, before the writers’ strike canceled all upcoming episodes when it started on May 2. The season premiere marked Ice Spice’s debut on the show, with her collaborator Taylor Swift even making a cameo to introduce her second performance of the night.

Bad Bunny’s SNL episode will air Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and streaming live on Peacock.

Fans are still reeling from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s surprise cameos on last weekend’s Saturday Night Live season 49 premiere. And apparently, so is the cast of SNL.
Cast member Bowen Yang confirmed that he wasn’t informed the world’s buzziest new pair was dropping by the show, much less planning on making small appearances on camera during the Saturday (Oct. 14) Pete Davidson-hosted program. When asked on the Las Culturistas podcast by his co-host Matt Rogers whether he was given a heads up about that night’s guests of honor, he said with disbelief: “No. They just came.”

“It was dress rehearsal, like great, that was fun,” he continued on the Wednesday (Oct. 18) episode. “I walk outside to go to my makeup chair, I see two people talking to two tall people. Tallest people in the world.”

“By the way, it’s one thing to see them individually,” added the Fire Island star. “I see them together and I go, ‘I’m in the Redwood Forest.’”

As Kelce himself recently confirmed, he and his new love interest had originally planned to attend SNL simply to show support for Swift’s friend and “Karma” collaborator, Ice Spice, who was that weekend’s musical guest. He was then asked if he wanted to participate in a skit already planned for the evening that just so happened to poke fun at the NFL’s coverage of his and Swift’s romance.

“I didn’t know what the skit was, like, which skits were coming up,” Kelce explained on his New Heights podcast. “I’m pretty sure it was just ironic they were doing a skit on Swiftmania. I thought it was hilarious when they asked me to be a part of it. I was like, ‘Man I’d be honored.’”

“I don’t even remember what I said — I blacked out,” he continued. “As soon as they cued to me, the entire place erupted, which was very overwhelming, and I’m not even sure if I said anything.”

Later, Swift also turned up onscreen to introduce one of Ice Spice’s performances. After the show wrapped, the pop star and Chiefs tight end were spotted arriving at the SNL afterparty together, holding hands.

Nate Bargatze will make his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live on Oct. 28, alongside musical guests Foo Fighters. While it’s his first time hosting SNL, the comedian, deemed “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up” by The Atlantic, has been in the game for years. He has five comedy albums and multiple Netflix specials stemming back […]

Bad Bunny has entered the ring. But wait, here comes his opponent… another Bad Bunny? In a teaser video — shared on Wednesday (Oct 18) — playing on the fact that the Latin music sensation is set to play double duty this weekend as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live, Benito goes head […]

Saturday Night Live’s season 49 premiere on Oct. 14 was one for the books, thanks in particular to two surprise appearances from Taylor Swift and her new beau, Travis Kelce. But in the Oct. 18 episode of his podcast New Heights, the Kansas City Chiefs tight reflected on their viral cameos, and revealed that the his actually came together somewhat last minute.
“We showed up at SNL having the idea of going to support Ice Spice,” Travis told his brother and New Heights co-host, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. “Her and Taylor are good friends. I always wanted to meet Pete Davidson — been a fan of his for quite a while.”

“I didn’t know what the skit was, like, which skits were coming up,” Travis explained on his podcast.

Davidson, who hosted the program, starred in a skit that parodied the NFL’s Swift-centric coverage of the pop star’s recent attendance streak at Travis’ games. At the very end of the sketch, Keenan Thompson (playing NFL sportscaster Curt Menefee) declared, “When we get back, we are going to speak with someone who actually wants to talk football,” prompting cameras to pan to the Ohio native for the closing line.

“It was electric to be back in that place,” the tight end — who hosted SNL in March — added. “There is just something about being in that room and it just being their first episode this season. I had such a frickin’ blast, man!”

Later during the season premiere, Swift herself popped up to introduce Ice Spice, who made her debut as musical guest. “Absolutely killed it,” Travis added of the “Munch” rapper’s performance.

As jaw-dropping as Swift and Kelce’s unexpected appearances were, however, fans may have been even more excited to see the two holding hands on their way to the SNL afterparty. Photos and videos surfaced of the 6’5″ athlete pretty much taking over the role of Swift’s bodyguard, helping her in and out of the car and always keeping a hand or arm around her.

“I feel like whenever I’m on a date, I’m always having the sense that I’m a man in the situation,” Travis recalled to Jason. “I’m protective, yeah, for sure. You always have to have that feeling or self-awareness, I guess.”

Plus, the two brothers poked fun at their father over the much-talked-about moment Ed Kelce was spotted by NFL cameras making conversation with Swift at the Oct. 12 Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos game. “He shouldn’t be talking to Taylor Swift,” Jason said, laughing, as Travis added, “This is a terrifying conversation, I felt terrible for Taylor for being in this.”

“You can see in this picture all he’s doing is just pumping her up,” Travis continued. “He’s started listening to her music a little more.”

Ice Spice’s career continues to soar. She took the stage at Saturday Night Live and left her mark on Studio 8H.

Hypebeast is reporting that the Bronx, New York, native made her SNL debut this past weekend. Hosted by alumni, and what seems to be a forever enemy to Kanye West, Pete Davidson, the episode was the launch to the iconic series’ 49th season. While the American late-night live television sketch show didn’t produce any comedic moments that have since gone viral, it seems the crowd was ready to see the “Bikini Bottom” rapper do her thing.

During her first set Ice Spice performed “In Ha Mood” while being backed by two female dancers. She breezed through the song while teasing her signature assets via a cropped t-shirt and high-cut denim shorts. For her second performance she was introduced by none other than Taylor Swift. The “I Knew You Would Be Trouble” singer was in the house to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce who contributed to an earlier sketch. From there Ice Spice brought her newest single “Pretty Girl” to life with help from Nigerian singer songwriter Rema.
Earlier this year the MC released the deluxe version to her Like..? EP. She would then go on to work with Dunkin’ for an “Ice Spice Munchkins Drink.” You can watch Ice Spice’s Saturday Night Live sets below.
