snitching

HipHopWired Featured Video

Charleston White has become a popular, if controversial, media figure due to his outlandish comments about Black entertainment and culture. An old video of Charleston White recently surfaced featuring him testifying against a friend, prompting some online to harken back on White’s comments regarding snitching.
Charleston White was trending on X, formerly Twitter, over the weekend after the @rebootjays account shared a 1993 news report from a Texas outlet featuring a teenage White testifying in court. The case appears to involve a murder case involving one Antoine Dolittle, who shot and killed Michael Levy, who tried to stop White and Dolittle from stealing from a department store. The actual crime occurred in 1991

White, 216 at the time, is seen telling the court how the shooting was carried out and the clip immediately hit viral status on the X network with fans adding that this is nothing new for him as he’s made snitching part of his ethos.
As is custom, White welcomed the criticism from observers and dropped a video on social media explaining that he doesn’t think the video will stop his current speaking engagement and tour stops, nor will it have any effect on his earnings. White has been explicit in stating that he would gladly snitch on anyone, and the video below highlights his stance.

Gillie Da Kid reacted to the news in his usual outspoken fashion and White replied via video, appearing to address the podcast host and Philadelphia native that had the “no snitching” street code been pushed aside, Gillie would find justice for his slain son, Devin “YNG Cheese” Spady.

So far, it doesn’t appear that Gillie Da Kid is going to go back and forth with Charleston White over the matter.

Boosie has filmed yet another VladTV interview. In this edition he says that the majority of rappers are federal informants.

As spotted on Complex the Baton Rouge, Louisiana talent has once again shared his unique point of view with the world. This week DJ Vlad released a clip of their newest Q&A and the self-proclaimed BooPac had a very hot take aimed at the entire Rap industry. When discussing the recent announcement that Pras admitted to working with the government, the man named Torrence Hatch Jr. was not surprised at all at the news says “90 percent of rappers” are rats.

“It’s a worldwide movement, bro. It’s a worldwide movement of rats. And it’s turning out the music industry is full of them,” he added. “There’s more rats in the music industry than the streets. Because I think they don’t wan to lose. You know? They don’t want to lose this lifestyle. That’s how they develop into rats, because they want all this sh*t but they don’t want to lose it. And they figure they can go get it back when they come home.”
Boosie went on to detail the effects snitching has on the families related to the individual who got told on. “Most of the time, when those snitches, whatever they do, they end up dying, deaths. They end up living horrible lives. The people who supporting rats don’t give a f*** about children. Those children suffer when you rat on that f***ing family and that daddy. That child grows up without a daddy, that child grows up without a mother. So, anybody supporting f***ing rats, they don’t give a f*** about a kid.”

Boosie Badazz lives his life by a certain code, sometimes to his detriment, but he isn’t afraid to stand ten toes down in his beliefs. The Louisiana rapper just struck down a joint album between him and T.I. due to his Atlanta cohort using a dead cousin to duck a gun charge.
Sitting down with VladTV, Boosie Badazz minced no words about his feelings on T.I. pinning a gun charge on his deceased family member. According to Boosie, the act was akin to snitching or being a rat in his book.

“With the T.I. situation, if he did that, you’re a f*cking rat too,” Boosie is seen in a clip from his interview with VladTV.  “I don’t spare no motherf*ckin’ body. Because if you doing anything wrong, if you doing anything criminal-wise, and you cooperate with law enforcement, to get you out of trouble, that means you’re a rat.”
It appears that Boosie isn’t completely certain about whether or not T.I. did pin a gun on his cousin. In fact, Boosie says in the clip he thinks that T.I. was just sharing the tall tale to get views for his podcast series. Boosie goes on to display disappointment in Tip’s admission, saying that the timing of it couldn’t have been worse as they were planning to drop the album.
As result, Boosie is no longer interested in releasing the project. As we shared earlier this week, T.I. is set to release his final solo album, Kill The King, at a later date.
Check out Boosie Badazz sharing why he’s moving on from working with T.I. below.
