RM

RM has dropped the music video for his song “Groin,” which appears on the BTS star’s new album, Right Place, Wrong Person.
On Monday (May 27), the RM shared the Pennacky-directed clip for “Groin,” which finds the singer and rapper decked out in a dark Adidas track jacket while dancing and rapping in the streets.

The three-minute video arrives on the heels of RM’s second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, which was released on Friday (May 24), and topped Billboard‘s latest weekly new music poll featuring artists in various genres of music.

Right Place, Wrong Person brings with it 11 new tracks for fans to enjoy amid BTS’ military obligations.

Led by the dream single “Come Back to Me,” the album also features the alternative-based songs “Nuts,” “Heaven,” “LOST!” and more. Overall, the project reflects a “raw and honest presentation of RM’s distinctive sensibility, aesthetics, and beliefs,” per a BigHit news release, and follows the South Korean artist’s 2022 debut album, Indigo, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Right Place, Wrong Person includes collaborations with British rapper-singer Little Simz (“Domodachi”) and singer-guitarist Moses Sumney (“Around the World in a Day”). “Come Back to Me” features lyrics by RM, with guest musicians OHHYUK from South Korean band HYUKOH, and guitar and bass from Kuo of Taiwanese band Sunset Rollercoaster, as well as contributions by singer-songwriter JNKYRD and San yawn of Balming Tiger.

RM and his BTS bandmates Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook are currently serving in the South Korean military, which mandates an 18-month military enlistment for all able-bodied men by the time they turn 28. A few of the members have pursued various solo projects amid their service, and the full group is planning to reconvene for band activities in 2025.

RM is fresh off the release of his brand new album, and the BTS superstar continued the celebration by dropping a new music video for the project’s track, “LOST!” In the Aube Perrie-directed clip, the musician tries to navigate himself as he’s trapped in maze-like building with various floors and rooms. Eventually, he finds an […]

RM’s debut solo album, Indigo, officially arrived on Friday (Dec. 2), and the BTS rapper celebrated his next musical chapter by sharing the lead single, “Wild Flower,” and its accompanying music video.

“Wild Flower” — which features South Korean rock singer youjeen — has atmospheric drum and synth beats and, as the title suggests, the music video follows a serene, natural theme. In general, RM revealed that his debut solo album was highly inspired by the world around him. “Record of RM: Indigo. From the colors of nature, human, etc. Documentation of my youth in the moment of independent phase. Sun-bleached record faded like old jeans. The last archive of my twenties,” the star teased in a preview video shared on Nov. 22.

Though Indigo is RM’s first full-length solo album, the rapper previously unveiled two mixtapes, his 2015 self-titled mixtape and 2018’s Mono. Watch the “Wild Flower” music video below.

“Indigo recounts the stories and experiences RM has gone through, like a diary,” reads a press release revealed ahead of the album release, promising to “present a different charm” to the South Korean rapper.

Directed by Woogie Kim, “Wild Flower” can be viewed in full below.

Friday is going to be a big day for BTS ARMY. RM‘s debut solo album, Indigo, is dropping at midnight, but that’s not all: The BTS rapper also has an NPR Tiny Desk concert in support of the album coming out just hours after its release.

NPR announced the news via Twitter on Thursday (Dec. 1), sharing all the details that ARMY needs to tune in. “RM at the Tiny Desk Tomorrow. 12/2 7 p.m. KST | 5 a.m. ET #RM #Indigo #RMatNPRTinyDesk #tinydesk @bts_bighit,” NPR captioned a photo of the famous desk space, with shelves featuring ARMY purple letters that read “BTS NPR RM.”

In addition to the album’s release, the video for Indigo’s lead single “Wild Flower” — which features South Korean rock singer youjeen — is also scheduled to arrive first thing Friday. Though RM revealed the album’s track list late last month, the sonic vibe of the project has been kept mostly under wraps. On Nov. 22, RM teased the album’s themes in a preview video that read, “Record of RM: Indigo. From the colors of nature, human, etc. Documentation of my youth in the moment of independent phase. Sun-bleached record faded like old jeans. The last archive of my twenties.”

Indigo will be RM’s first full-length solo album. The rapper was the first of the BTS members to share solo material, dropping a self-titled mixtape in 2015, which contained the singles “Do You,” “Awakening” and “Joke.” RM then released a second mixtape in 2018 titled Mono. “Forever Rain” was released as the only single from the latter body of work; the set debuted at No. 26 on the Billboard 200.
