A new video featured Remy Ma and Fat Joe performing without shirts on, and social media flipped out over the display.
The new track from Remy Ma and Fat Joe, “Outta Control” featuring Cool & Dre just got a new video, and the two Bronx, New York rappers appear in it without their shirts, which has social media in an uproar – particularly over Fat Joe’s topless status. The new single is the first solo effort from the Don Cartagena artist in fourteen years – his last was The Darkside Vol. 1, which was released in 2010.
The new track is another collaborative effort between Fat Joe and Remy Ma – the pair teamed up for the Terror Squad founder’s run of three albums beginning with 2017’s Plata O Plomo, 2019’s Family Ties with Dre from Cool & Dre, and What Would Big Do in 2021 with DJ Drama. The new video features Remy rhyming topless, with long hair covering her breasts with a strip club and the boxing ring as the setting. The latter stands out as Fat Joe delivers his verse shirtless, wearing a bucket hat and boxing trunks with various sneakers positioned behind him.
Those who caught the video were fairly shocked by the topless style of Remy Ma but mostly shocked by Fat Joe’s move. The MC has been known to doff his shirt at performances in the past, with the last instance being at the HipHop 50 Live concert event at Yankee Stadium last August. Social media users expressed their upset at the move, while some clowned Fat Joe mercilessly. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, one user went so far as to do a side-by-side comparison of Fat Joe’s appearance in the video to fellow rapper Queen Latifah’s topless scene in the 2015 HBO biopic Bessie about the legendary blues singer Bessie Smith.

It’s been a turbulent few months for Remy Ma, but she is now facing one of the toughest moments a parent can face in their lifetime as her son, Jayson “Jace” Scott, has been arrested and charged with murder.
According to People, the 23-year-old was taken into custody on June 18, along with another suspect as police say both men were involved in the murder of 47-year-old Darius Guillebeaux. Police have charged Jayson Scott with first and second-degree murder, reckless endangerment in the first degree, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. The second suspect, 22-year-old Richard Swygert, was hit with the same charges for the June 7, 2021 killing.
People reports:
The NYPD told PEOPLE that the 2021 shooting was in Queens. At the time, officers responded to a 911 call of a male shot at the intersection of 148 Street and Rockaway Boulevard on June 7, 2021.
“Upon arrival, officers observed a 47-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and chest,” police said. “EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.”
While Remy Ma herself has remained mum on the arrest, a representative for her did release a statement addressing the issue:
“As many have heard, Remy Ma’s son, Jayson Scott was recently arrested and very serious unfounded allegations have been made. Remy Ma wished to address this situation personally, but has been strongly advised by our office not to say anything publicly – as most people in this situation are, as the case is still active. To be clear, Jayson Scott is innocent and Remy Ma is committed to proving his innocence and fully supporting her child during this time.”
“We stand by Jayson’s innocence and hope the NYPD will conduct a complete and thorough investigation to reveal the truth. This has undoubtedly been a trying time for Remy Ma and her family. While she sincerely appreciates the love and support she has received, we kindly ask that her privacy be respected as their legal team works to prove Jayson’s innocence.”
No word on what led police to identify Scott and Swygert as their suspects.

In the latest installment of I Got Questions, Remy Ma and Fat Joe reminisce about their careers and collaborations.
The highly popular interview series I Got Questions returns with a conversation between veteran rappers Remy Ma and Fat Joe. The Bronx MC’s sat down and the convo immediately got entertaining as Remy asked Joe Crack if he remembered how they met. After relating the first encounter on the set of a Jennifer Lopez video where she arrived in the company of the late Big Pun, the “Conceited” rapper also made a surprising admission.
“So I’m shooting the video, she’s like ‘Hey.’ Pun is like, ‘This is Rem, that’s my artist’ and whatever. That’s the first time we met. And I’m like…’I don’t like him,” she said with a laugh.
“Wait, wait, so that was your initial response?” Fat Joe asked incredulously. “You was very nonchalant, like ‘How you doin’?’ So I’m like, ‘Okay,” Remy Ma responded. But Fat Joe’s recollection of the second time they met centered on them being in the studio, with him in awe of her lyrical flow. “So I’m looking at you like, ‘damn…I need her to be MY artist!’
Fat Joe also harkened back to the now-classic track “Lean Back,” playfully revealing that Remy Ma made it a point to fight to get on the track. “I saw an interview where M.O.P. said you bullied your way to get on ‘Ante Up,’ and you bullied your way to get on ‘Lean Back’!! Yo, why do you scare men?!” he joked.
Remy Ma then revealed that her appearance on the M.O.P. remix was due to Prodigy’s verse being taken off because of verbal jabs thrown at Jay-Z.
The conversation also touched on both MCs’ views on women rappers and the industry, and a lively discussion on each of the Bronx natives’ top five rappers. Fat Joe also reminisced on his and Remy Ma’s appearance at the BET Awards after both went through stints in jail and other issues, calling it “his proudest moment”
“We work, we make a hit. And here we are at the BET Awards, we’re about to perform…me and you grabbed each other’s hands and we’re like, ‘F—k, we’re back. Like all the way back.’”

We will close the year with one of Hip-Hop’s premiere couples, Remy Ma and Papoose, seemingly on the outs.
TMZ Hip Hop reports that the long-rumored split between Remy Ma and Papoose happened, and the “Conceited” rapper’s new alleged boo, Eazy The Block Captain, was the one to spill the beans unknowingly.
The celebrity gossip site reports that a YouTube blog leaked 16-minute audio featuring the battle rapper seemingly confirming to a “friend” that he and Remy are an item and want to fight Papoose.
In the audio, Eazy claims it was the Bronx rapper pleading with him not to spill the tea on their relationship after Papoose allegedly put his hands on him while adding that Remy Ma has been a frequent visitor to his crib, seemingly confirming rumors that began during a battle rap event.

Viewers became suspicious after Geechi Gotti mentioned the affair during his battle with Eazy in a clever way.

Eazy also says in the audio that he wants a rematch with Papoose, claiming his punches don’t hurt. He also claims he will step aside if Pap and Remy decide to work things out.
Social Media Reacts To The News
Remy Ma and Papoose had a fairytale relationship, with him patiently waiting and holding down the fort while the Terror Squad affiliate was in prison.
The news of their breakup spawned sad reactions from fans who regarded their relationship as “goals.”
On X, formerly Twitter, one user said alongside a video of a crying person chugging down alcohol. “Remy Ma & Papoose are really divorcing… I don’t believe in love anymore.”
While others are outright giving Remy Ma the side eye for allegedly cheating.
“I usually don’t disagree with women cheating, but remy ma wrong asf bol,” another post read.
It looks like love is truly dead.

Remy Ma has some explaining to do. She was spotted at the Eagles game with Eazy The Block Captain and the internets think they are an item.
HipHopDX is reporting that the two Rap talents were seen attending the recent Philadelphia Eagles football game on Sunday, November 5 during their victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Fans in attendance spotted the two rappers together at Lincoln Financial Field Stadium looking like they were on a date. The man who filmed the two incorrectly identified the battle rapper as her husband Papoose but the internet quickly made correction.
Rumors about the two first started circulating around back in June when it was reported her husband knocked out Eazy at a Chrome 23 battle rap event titled “#TheGrudgeCard. Remy Ma quickly denounced the rumors on X, formerly known as Twitter. “I’d like to apologize to everyone that was disappointed tonight because we couldn’t get 3 full rounds from all the opponents… I tried…and can y’all pleasee STOP with the Eazy & Pap LIES,” she tweeted. “There’s NO place like Chrome! Right back at it; see y’all in August #Chrome23.”
Fast forward to September, Eazy had a battle with Geechi Gotti and addressed the rumors in one of his rounds while Remy stood a couple of feet away. “If you heard a ni*** did something to me over a female. And he ain’t dead, it’s prolly cause I still got the female” Eazy rapped. Additionally, Eazy and Remy Ma were also spotted grabbing some seafood at Red Lobster that same month. While Remy Ma and Papoose have yet to address the speculation neither have posted about each other on their respective social media accounts since earlier this year.
The two wed in 2015.

Eazy The Block Captain is still swarmed with heavy allegations that he is dating Remy Ma, the wife of veteran rapper Papoose and the founder of the Chrome rap battle league. While Eazy The Block Captain has yet to address the allegations, a posted then deleted message is adding fuel to the embers of discussion, while Remy Ma and Papoose have yet to speak to rumors.
It appears that a publicist for Eazy The Block Captain has been working for her client to get his story told. Nicole Sabrina, who posts on Instagram as @nikkithecoach_ shared a lengthy statement regarding the Philadelphia battle rapper below.

9/22/23, I issued a statement to some media outlets advising that @eazyblockcapt1 would be making a statement today and that the exclusive story is available. This was done without Eazy’s consent. I understand that this is a serious error, and I take full responsibility for my actions.
My words and intent are now being twisted at the sacrifice of a client and I cannot have that. Eazy and I have worked together for a few years, and while it has been some time since our last project, I took it upon myself to begin discovery on potential business opportunities from a PR stand point.
Let me be clear, no amount of money was requested for an interview with Eazy. I made it clear that he would be dropping a statement on his own platforms first and that I have received offers for an exclusive interview after the release of that statement. Eazy did not and does not want to profit from an interview, he only wanted to release a statement telling his side of the story. I love our media and blog partners, and understand they have a duty to report the latest information on trending topics, but any blog outlet reporting anything different is not the whole truth.
Via his Instagram, eagle-eyed X (formerly known as Twitter) users caught wind of an Instagram story Eazy The Block Captain posted over the weekend and later deleted.
“If it’s not me, nobody speaks on my behalf. There’s a lot of rumors out there that I will address very soon,” Eazy wrote last Friday (September 22), which is the same day his publicist posted her statement.

Papoose and Remy Ma endured hardships en route to marrying one another and becoming a living symbol of Black love triumphing over all. Now, fans are leaning into fast-moving rumors that Remy Ma cheated on Trigger Happy Pappy with a buzzing battle rapper although nothing has been remotely confirmed.
Remy Ma saw her name attached to rumors that she was involved with Philadelphia battle rapper Eazy The Block Captain, who faced off against Compton’s Geechi Gotti over the weekend at Chrome 23: I Do What I Want in Eazy’s hometown.
During a point of the battle, Geechi rapped directly at Remy, who founded Chrome 23, referencing her husband Papoose and the alleged rumors that she hooked up with Eazy, leading to Pap knocking the Philly rapper out.
Battle rap is usually just good theater and Geechi delivered his bars with his usual aggressive intensity with Remy looking around and past him, sparking some to think the raps he was spitting were true facts.
Eazy didn’t do much to discredit the allegations, considering he rapped at one point that if he got socked out by Pap, he still got the woman. We don’t need to explain that none of the raps referenced above were delivered in this vanilla manner. The “B” word was thrown around quite a bit.
After the match, the YouTube channel 15 Minutes of Fame caught up with Remy, who spoke about the battle and said that she wasn’t moved by any of the shots because that’s what battle rap is about. She also fired back at Geechi and warned that he doesn’t have too many more times to refer to her as the “B” word. Check out that interview below.

In all of this, Papoose has yet to address the allegations regarding his wife but fans on Instagram are taking the rumors and asking the Brooklyn rapper wild flagrant questions about his spouse and their marital status.

Over the weekend, Vice President Kamala Harris held a huge bash to celebrate Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary.
One of the biggest parties celebrating Hip-Hop 50 went down in Washington D.C. on Saturday, Sep. 9, at the Vice President’s residence.
With the VP handling hosting duties with some help from Club Quarantine’s owner, DJ D Nice, Hip-Hop vets like Common, Roxanne Shante, Dougie Fresh, MC Lyte, and Slick Rick all hit the stage to perform tunes out of their iconic catalogs.
“Hip-hop now shapes nearly every aspect of American popular culture, and it reflects the incredible diversity and ingenuity of the American people. I truly believe hip-hop is one of America’s greatest exports,” VP Harris told the roughly 400 guests in attendance.
The Second Gentleman, Douglas Emhoff, added, “This is a hip-hop household!”
Lil Wayne Was A Big Surprise
The day also featured scorching performances from Fat Joe and Remy Ma, who hit the stage to perform “All The Way Up,” but the biggest surprise came when Lil Wayne made an appearance.
For those who still remember, Lil Wayne let us all down when he decided to take a picture with Agent Orange, disgraced former President and leader of the mayo-infused insurrection, Donald Trump.
Trump, more than likely caping for some Black votes, gave Weezy a pardon, but he denied shilling for Trump.
Per Variety, after his surprise set, which included a “Mrs. Officer” performance off his critically acclaimed album Tha Carter III during the concert, Wayne told attendees, “I can’t believe I’m here.”
We’re sure many of the guests felt the same due to his previous actions, but hey, we all can appreciate when a person rights their wrongs.

VP Kamala Harris Dancing To “Vivrant Thing” Was A Vibe
Of course, the reactions were pouring in on X (formerly Twitter) about the event, specifically the MVP’s dance moves. A video of VP Harris hitting her auntie two-step to Q-Tip’s classic record “Vivrant Thing” has made its rounds on social media.
Shoutout to the MVP for giving Hip-Hop its flowers and celebrating the art form in a space many would have never thought you would hear rap at.
