Don Toliver & Doja Cat Hit the Fast Lane for New Song ‘Lose My Mind’: Watch the Music Video

Don Toliver and Doja Cat have joined forces for a new song titled “Lose My Mind,” which will appear on the F1 movie soundtrack.

On Wednesday (April 30), Don Toliver dropped off the music video for “Lose My Mind” after teasing the song just 24 hours earlier. The song will appear on the soundtrack for the new movie F1, and in the visual, both Don and Doja suit up for a race of their own, with the former hopping behind his own race car and the latter getting tinkered with as she spits some venomous bars.

F1 The Album drops the same day as the Apple Original Film on June 27, and serves as the official soundtrack to F1, which stars Brad Pitt and Damson Idris as competing F1 drivers.

“Lose My Mind” also isn’t the first time Toliver has gotten behind the wheel for a soundtrack based around quick vehicles. Four years ago, he linked with Lil Durk and Latto on “Fast Car” from the F9: The Fast Saga (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). “Lose My Mind” also marks the second time Doja has contributed an original song for a film soundtrack, after having previously done “Vegas” for Elvis (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) in 2022. “Vegas” reached No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hit No. 1 on both Pop Airplay (for four weeks) and Rhythmic Airplay (one week).

In other news, Doja has been hard at work teasing her fifth studio album, Vie. She teased a potential tracklist to the project a few weeks ago, all but confirming something was coming. Vie comes on the heels of Doja’s 2023 album Scarlet, whit hit No. 4 on the Billboard 200.

Megan Thee Stallion Says She’s Building Her Own Location of This Popular Fried Chicken Chain

Megan Thee Stallion announced she’s building her own Popeyes store from scratch, and showcased an active construction site in a new video on social media.

On Tuesday (April 29), Meg hopped on Instagram wearing a yellow hard hat to announce she was constructing her own Popeyes location. In a video on social media, she wandered around her new store, which she admitted was “just bones” at the moment, but said it would be open in a few months. She also gave fans a preview of her new “Hottie Sauce” that will be available at her store, before taking some poses with an orange Megan Thee Stallion-themed fire extinguisher.

This isn’t the first time Meg has linked with the fast-food chain. In 2021, the Texas rapper joined forces with Popeyes to release her then limited edition “Hottie Sauce,” which combined cider vinegar, Aleppo pepper and honey. It was that partnership that inspired the restaurant to approve Megan to become a Popeyes owner.

“I’m appreciative of Popeyes commitment to empowering Black women and look forward to opening Popeyes Restaurants,” Megan Thee Stallion said in a statement at the time. “Teaming up with Popeyes is such a milestone in my journey and evolution as an entrepreneur. I’ve always been a fan of the Popeyes brand and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join the brand and help create the new Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce for their line-up.”

While there’s no official opening date at this point, Meg promised on Instagram her store will open this summer.

“This abt to be thee littest popeyes ever,” she promised.

Lil Durk’s Family Claims Rapper’s Lyrics Are Being Used Against Him in Murder-for-Hire Case

Lil Durk remains behind bars in California, counting down the days until his trial is set to begin in October for his murder-for-hire case.

Durk’s family posted a clip to Instagram on Tuesday (April 29) giving fans an update on the Chicago rapper’s legal situation, and they claimed that the prosecution is building a case that uses his own lyrics against him.

“The recent developments in Durk’s legal case have brought a harsh truth to light: the government presented false evidence to a grand jury to indict him,” a statement from Durk’s team in the video reads. “This isn’t justice. That’s a violation of the very system that’s supposed to protect all of us.”

The clip goes on to explain that Durk has always been a vivid storyteller with his music, and his creative art shouldn’t be held against him in a court of law.

“Durk has always used music to tell stories, to express pain to heal — and yet those same lyrics are now being used against him. We refuse to stay silent as Black artists continue to be criminalized for their creativity. Rap is art,” the video continued before calling for public support. “As a family, we are asking the public, the fans and the culture to stand with us. Stand for truth. Stand for fairness. Stand for The Voice.”

Lil Durk’s legal team continues to fight for his freedom. Earlier in April, Durk’s attorneys called for the case’s dismissal and claimed that “false evidence” was given to a grand jury.

Prosecutors are attempting to tie lyrics from Durk and Babyface Ray’s “Wonderful Wayne & Jackie Boy” to the murder of Lul Pab. While the track was released in December 2022, which would be a few months after Pab’s death, but Durk’s team says those lyrics were penned long before the shooting in January 2022.

“Told me they got an addy (go, go)/ Got location (go, go)/ Green light (go, go, go, go, go)/ Look on the news and see your son/ You screaming ‘No, no,” he raps on the track in question.

“The government told the grand jury that Mr. Banks, through specific lyrics in his music, celebrated and profited from a revenge murder that he had ordered,” Durk’s attorney, Drew Findling, said in the filing. “That claim is demonstrably false. Unless the government is prosecuting Banks on a theory of extra-sensory prescience, the lyrics could not have soundly informed the grand jury’s finding of probable cause.”

Lil Durk was arrested in Florida in October on a murder-for-hire charge hours after a few of his Only the Family associates were also indicted.

Prosecutors believe Durk plotted to have Quando Rondo killed as retaliation for the death of his friend King Von, who was murdered by Rondo’s associates in Atlanta in 2020, but the 2022 Los Angeles shooting ended up leaving Rondo’s cousin Lul Pab dead.

With Durk behind bars awaiting trial, the rapper’s team pieced together his Deep Thoughts album, which arrived in March and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 64,000 album-equivalent units earned.

Kendrick Lamar Brings Out Playboi Carti in Atlanta for ‘Good Credit’

On its face, Kendrick Lamar and Playboi Carti seemed like an unlikely duo until King Vamp recruited K. Dot for a few features on his Music album.

They hit the stage together for the first time on Tuesday night (April 29) when Lamar brought out Carti as a special guest in Atlanta to perform their “Good Credit” collaboration at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

While it isn’t a surprise for Lamar to perform “Good Credit,” which has been on the Grand National Tour’s setlist, the crowd erupted when Carti hit the stage with his screeching vocals and screams to accentuate Lamar’s verses on the track.

“I cannot believe I got to witness this live I was fanned tf out,” one fan wrote to X.

Another fan wants them to build on their chemistry with a potential joint album. “Deadass would listen to a collab album between them I can feel the potential,” they wrote.

Produced by Cardo, “Good Credit” reached No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was the No. 4 ranked song from Billboard‘s Music rankings.

Carti will be hitting the road pretty soon as well. The Opium leader is slated to trek with The Weeknd for the After Hours Till Dawn Tour, which kicks off on May 9 in Phoenix.

As for Kendrick and SZA’s Grand National Tour, the North American leg began on April 19 in Minneapolis and will trek through Seattle, Las Vegas, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and more before wrapping up in Washington, D.C., on June 18.

Yeat Sets 2025 Australian Dates for The Bell Down Under Tour

Fresh off his viral Coachella performance and the release of his latest single, Yeat is officially bringing the bell to Australia.

The breakout rapper has announced his debut Australian tour, The Bell Down Under Tour, which will see him perform four shows across the country this October.

Presented by Live Nation, The Bell Down Under Tour kicks off on Oct. 10 at Melbourne’s Festival Hall, followed by stops at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion (Oct. 14), Brisbane’s Riverstage (Oct. 16), and Perth HPC (Oct. 18).

Ye Releases ‘Donda 2’ Album to Streaming Services for First Time

Ye’s (formerly Kanye West) Donda 2 album is on streaming services for the first time. West premiered the sequel in February 2022, and the project had only been available on the Stem Player until Wednesday (April 30).

As of press time, Donda 2 is available on YouTube Music and Spotify, but is yet to hit Apple Music. The project is loaded with 18 tracks and guest appearances from XXXTENTACION, Don Toliver, Migos, Jack Harlow, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Baby Keem, Future and more.

Future served as the album’s executive producer and the cover art remains the same, showcasing Ye’s childhood home on fire.

West originally premiered the album with a listening party inside Miami’s LoanDepot Park in February 2022, but many of the tracks were unfinished and never made it to streaming services as Ye focused on the Stem Player technology.

Ye also threw in cuts like “City of Gods” featuring Fivio Foreign and Alicia Keys, which arrived just prior to the Donda 2 listening party, and served as the lead single for the Brooklyn drill rapper’s B.I.B.L.E. album. The track reached No. 46 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“530” was one of the unfinished standouts on Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s Vultures 2 album, but West felt strong enough about the cleaned-up version to include it on Donda 2‘s streaming release.

Kim Kardashian’s 2021 Saturday Night Live monologue is still included on “Sci-Fi.” “I married the best rapper of all time,” she can be heard saying to start the track. “Not only that, he is the richest Black man in America. A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids.”

West has been holed up in Spain for much of April. A masked Ye hosted a live stream premiere for Donda 2 with popular streamers Digital Nas, Sneako and N3on on Tuesday night (April 29).

West has been under fire in recent months for controversial X rants filled with hate speech. On the music side, he released a visual edition of his Bully album in March.

Don Toliver & Doja Cat to Collaborate on ‘Lose My Mind’ for ‘F1’ Movie Soundtrack

Don Toliver and Doja Cat are dropping their new collaboration “Lose My Mind” from the F1 movie soundtrack this week.

The two are heard harmonizing on the hook “So why don’t we just lose my mind?” in the hi-tech video clip that was shared on Instagram by the Formula 1, F1 movie and F1 album accounts Tuesday (April 29).

“Lose My Mind” will be released Wednesday at noon ET as the first single from the soundtrack.

“Lose My Mind” isn’t the first song Toliver has contributed to a soundtrack for a movie centered on cars. Four years ago, he collaborated with Lil Durk and Latto on “Fast Car” from the F9: The Fast Saga (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). Latto Says She’s ‘Big Daddy’ While Rocking Carmelo Anthony’s Syracuse Jersey

Latto headlined Syracuse University’s Block Party 2025 over the weekend, and she got around to posting some pictures from her time on the central New York campus on Tuesday (April 29).

While she’ll always be Big Mama, Latto went by Big Daddy in Syracuse as she rocked a throwback ‘fit that went diamond in the streets of New York in the early 2000s. Latto donned a Syracuse Carmelo Anthony jersey with baggy True Religion jean shorts and a pair of Timberland boots. Anthony led Syracuse’s basketball team to a national championship in 2003.

One photo appeared to show Latto in the men’s bathroom posing in front of the urinal as if she were using it, which fans had plenty to say about on social media. “Why you in the men’s washroom witcho John cena shorts babygirl,” one person wrote on X.

Per The Daily Orange, Latto delivered an energetic set that included over 15 songs, ranging from “Georgia Peach” to “Blick Sum” and “Sunday Service.” She reportedly even changed the lyrics for “Brokey” to fit “when I leave Syracuse.”

Latto came bearing gifts as she blessed one lucky student with $1,000, and a Cornell University freshman named Kumba Cavazzini Diop got their hands on a pair of new Givenchy boots.

“One day, I was just a little girl screaming Latto songs in my living room every day,” Cavazzini Diop said. “She noticed me today.”

On the music side, Latto has laid low for much of 2025 outside of recruiting Playboi Carti to hop on an official remix of “Blick Sum” in January.

As the two actors promote their film The Accountant 2, they sat down with Complex for their “GOAT Talk” series and the topic of Rap Mount Rushmore came up, with Ben offering up some interesting picks.

“I think Lil Wayne should be on there,” he said. “You were talking about Eazy-E today. We were talking about back when we were young. I mean, you know, a lot of talk about, ‘Well, Slick Rick.’ And then of course, there’s Kendrick right now.’”

Bernthal essentially agreed with Ben’s picks, but replaced Slick Rick and Lil Wayne with the Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac while also acknowledging that he liked the idea of Affleck putting Weezy on his.

Ben then said that ‘Pac is probably his pick for greatest rapper ever before telling a funny story of his son asking him if he ever heard arguably the greatest diss song of all-time. “My son played me this song the other day,” he joked. “And he’s like, ‘Yo, you heard this?’ And he played me “Hit Em Up.” And I was like, ‘Have I heard this? Mothe—-er, I had a whole f—in’ life that I lived before you were born.’”

“I’m not scared to fail, I’m scared of humiliation,” Osiris said, adding later in the livestream that he considered taking up streaming himself. Lil Rodney Son was quick to shut that idea down, and said Osiris is no DDG.

“Don’t ever take that risk, bro,” Rodney Son said. “You not DDG bro, sorry my n—a. Don’t ever stop music and think you gonna jump in this lane, this s—t hard.”

YK Osiris dropped off his YK World EP last year to very little chart presence. His debut album Golden Child in 2019 also received lukewarm reviews from critics despite containing two chart-topping hits “Worth It” and “Valentine.”

Osiris has instead gone viral a few times over the years due to his behavior. In 2021, Drake made him sing “Worth It” to pay off a $60,000 debt. Lil Baby also jokingly pressed him for over $5,000 while he was shopping for jewelry. In 2023, matters were made worse when Osiris was accused of assault after appearing to forcibly kiss Sukihana at The Crew League event in Atlanta. Osiris eventually apologized to Suki, which she noted in a lengthy statement on social media in June of that year.

“I am giving YK the grace and forgiveness that I wanted to be given to me as I was discovering and defining myself on this very public and sometimes unforgiving entertainment platform,” Suki wrote in part. “Thank you again. I deeply appreciate your support.”
