Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s anticipated Missionary album was released on Friday (Dec. 13) and the West Coast icons delivered an accompanying short film to live alongside the joint LP.

The cinematic mini-movie is bookended by a pair of explosive visuals for album singles “Outta Da Blue” and “Gorgeous” featuring an appearance by Jhené Aiko.

Narrated by Method Man, when Dre and Snoop weren’t in the studio they were giving back to the streets that raised them by protecting the city as superheroes of sorts. They were saving kidnapped children and taking out workers who abused the elderly.

But when anyone crossed them, the opps met their demise and were butchered and kept in the secret freezer underneath Dre’s Aftermath lounge. If that overflowed, the rest of the bodies were taken on a ride to sea on the Missionary boat and dumped in the middle of the ocean.

There was some comedy mixed into the action as well with Dre snatching the Eminem Air Jordan 4’s off the feet of one of the dead bodies after Snoop let him know they were worth five figures. The Doggfather even cracked a joke about Tyrese cutting his nipples off to make his shirts fit tighter.

50 Cent makes his presence felt with a surprise cameo in the final credits after Dre and Snoop suspected his involvement in one of the murders. “You taught me that OGs, now take your a– back to the club before I snatch that crown forever,” the G-Unit boss warned.

Eminem and 50 Cent are featured on Missionary standout “Gunz N Smoke.” Other album guests include Jelly Roll, Sting, BJ the Chicago Kid and more.

Will Smith is fed up with the jokes.

The rapper turned actor was performing in San Diego this week, addressing the crowd as he tried to distance himself from the embattled Sean “Diddy” Combs by referencing alleged social media memes that he’s seen since the mogul was arrested for sex trafficking charges in September.

“Some of that stuff is funny, some of it’s funny,” he admitted before bringing up the online chatter he’s apparently been coming across. “I haven’t addressed any of this publicly, but I just wanna say this very clearly: I don’t have sh—t to do with Puffy. So, y’all can stop all them memes. Y’all can stop all of that bullsh—t.”

Adding, “I ain’t been nowhere near no damn freak-off. I do enough of my own sh—t. Don’t be putting me in other people’s bullsh—t. I ain’t been nowhere near that man. I ain’t did none of that stupid sh—t. So whenever y’all hear it, if somebody says that, it’s a damn lie. I don’t even like baby oil.”

He then admitted that the alleged memes were getting to him, telling the crowd: “Your memes were doing too much. Your memes were having me mad.”

Of course, 50 Cent chimed in and posted a video of another phone playing the clip above joking that he didn’t make any memes, only shared them. “That wasn’t me, man,” the Queens rapper and filmmaker commentated. “I put that up there, but that wasn’t me.”

50 also included the caption: “How you don’t like will smith man LOL. I’m watching his movies.”

Legendary football coach Bill Belichick shocked the football community when he took the University of North Carolina head coaching job earlier this week instead of waiting for a possible NFL gig.

While plenty of debate was sparked on social media with Belichick’s surprising move to the NCAA, Lil Wayne hopped on X on Thursday (Dec. 12) to congratulate the six-time Super Bowl champion on getting the UNC job.

“Man much respect 2da GOAT coach Bill Belichick! Not sure why they’re all hatin but I believe it to be envy and just a bunch of folks that don’t know how to simply say “congratulations” or nada,” Wayne wrote while calling out the haters.

He continued to quote bars from his “Love Me or Hate Me” track, which landed on 2007’s The Leak EP. “A wise man once said ‘u can luv me or hate me, I swear it wont make me or break me.”

With Wayne slamming the backlash against Belichick, some fans flipped his words against him. They compared the situation to when he voiced his frustration about not getting the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show gig instead of simply showing love to Kendrick Lamar.

“Say kongratulations to Kendrick challenge,” one TDE fan wrote while another said: “This sounds oddly familiar..”

Wayne admitted he was “hurt” when Kendrick was announced as the Halftime Show headliner in his hometown of New Orleans next year.

“That hurt. It hurt a lot. You know what I’m talking about. It hurt a whole lot,” he said at the time. “I blame myself for not being mentally prepared for a letdown. And for automatically mentally putting myself in that position like somebody told me that was my position. So I blame myself for that. But I thought that was nothing better than that spot and that stage and that platform in my city, so it hurt. It hurt a whole lot.”

Earlier this month, Joe Budden speculated that Wayne attempted to call Kendrick Lamar to discuss the situation after the Compton native mentioned Weezy on GNX, but K. Dot reportedly had no interest in hopping on the phone with the New Orleans rap legend.

Offset is closing out 2024 on a high note with the arrival of his woozy single “Swing My Way” on Friday (Dec. 13). The Turbo-produced track hit streaming services alongside an accompanying opulent music video, which is directed by Kid Art.

Shot in Brooklyn and Miami, Offset enlists supermodel Anok Yai as his love interest in the “Swing My Way” visual as he looks to entice her to join him for the night.

“That p—y got power, baby, I take her to shop in Milan,” he raps in a nod to Gunna’s “P Power” track. “How them n—-s be biting it’s something to see/ We get on a private/ She gettin’ excited to go to the beach.”

Offset flexes his fashion prowess with a voguish taste while also showing off his fleet of Tesla Cybertrucks and pricy collection of flashy jewelry.

Earlier this year, Offset teamed up with Gunna for “Style Rare.” He’s kept busy throughout 2024 with guest appearances on Juice WRLD’s final posthumous album The Party Never Ends cut “Celebrate,” as well as Blxst’s “Risk Taker” and Killer Mike’s “Exit 9.”

It was a busy campaign for Set, who trekked across North America on tour in support of his Set It Off solo album in 2023. Cardi B and the Migos rapper also welcomed baby No. 3 over the summer, but the couple is going their separate ways, as Cardi filed for divorce once again.

“Slowly but surely, everybody gotta go their separate ways,” she said in October. “My kids gotta get used to that, ‘No, you’re not going to come home every single day and your dad is gonna be here.’ Slowly, but surely.”
