After being named Ray-Ban’s first-ever creative director in early 2025, A$AP Rocky has released his big one titled the Wayfarer Puffer Crystal Collection.

When Rocky isn’t busy cooking up beats for his unreleased album, Don’t Be Dumb, or turning looks with his boo, Rihanna, the creative is putting in work creating frames like Ray-Ban customers have never seen before. The “Fashion Killa” rapper’s three-piece collection consists of all upgraded Wayfarer styles, a staple silhouette for Ray-Ban.

Instead of the thin frame the Wayfarer is well known for, these Rocky models have been exaggerated, made blocky with sculptural curves and high-octane finishes, hence the “puffer” title. It’s safe to say that these are statement-makers, meant for those who aren’t afraid to draw attention. The Crystal Pavé edition is the first on our radar, retailing for $701.

The Polished Blue silhouette is one of our favorites. It’s covered in high-shine pavé crystals and finished with gold detailing that makes the silhouette pop. The frames sit high on the bridge of the nose, eclipsing a standard amount of the wearer’s face. If you’re in the market for bold eyewear with detailing you won’t find anywhere else, the Crystal Pavé is your best bet.

The Crystal is a more subdued silhouette, but still boasts a ton of dazzling qualities. Retailing for $292, one of the more affordable options, the style comes in black with a crystal temple logo and silver accents, the direct opposite of the Pavé model. The shine is subdued but still pops against the all-black background.

Once again, you’ve got a blockier frame that is much more fashion-forward than the regular slim Wayfarer. Being that this is the most affordable option of the bunch, it still manages to steal the show. The puffy frames are a game-changer, one we haven’t seen from any other brand before.

There’s nothing sexier than black sunglasses, unless, of course, they’re encrusted with diamonds. Finally, we have the Diamond edition, which retails for $6,721. Don’t let the subdued silhouette fool you. These sunglasses are absolutely dripping in gold and diamonds, hence the price tag. The glasses are affixed with hand-set diamonds and 14k gold finishings that contrast the black frames nicely. This is an investment piece for sure, but one we’d recommend getting if you want your black sunglasses to have a little more oomph to them than your standard style.

The price tag is hefty, heavily due to the materials used and attention to detail. These are sunglasses that, if treated with care, will last you a lifetime. Don’t just take our word for it. With Rocky’s stamp of approval to back it, this collection must be a banger.

The star’s first collection with the brand was titled Blacked Out Collection, a sort of test drive of his new role, which included oversized silhouettes, gold accents and ultra-dark lenses.

Doja Cat and Teyana Taylor just made Ray-Ban’s latest Meta glasses look ultra cool for the brand’s “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet” global campaign.

If you haven’t already gotten yourself a pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, the accessory is what is classified as “smart glasses.” The eyewear is a blend of Ray-Ban’s classic and ultra-chic style with technology, allowing users to do all sorts of things, from take photos and videos, listen to music, make calls and interact with AI assistant features all hands-free.

The Gen 2 style now comes in new colorways and silhouettes that can be applied to the glasses on Ray Ban‘s website. The new model also features major improvements from the OG including a longer battery life, a 3K Ultra-Wide 12MP camera for UHD video capture and advanced Meta AI tools including Hyperlapse, which allows users to capture sped-up, smooth time-lapse videos hands-free, Slow Motion, which captures video with a slower frame rate and Live Translation, which gives users real-time audio translation with AI voice cloning.

As we get closer to the holiday season, we’d like to think that these glasses would make a great gift, especially for the tech wiz in your life. They’re practical, given they’re glasses, and functional thanks to the Meta AI tools. Ray-Ban frames are also extremely stylish and of great quality, made to last for years to come. The quality and attention to craftsmanship explain the price tag. It’s more of an investment piece rather than a standard accessory. Think of it like buying a super fancy iPhone or laptop, but for your face. It has all the same bells and whistles, all built into a portable package. Don’t just take it from us. From celebrating a not guilty verdict in a recent shooting trial to Rihanna‘s 37th birthday, it’s been a wild week for A$AP Rocky so far. To pile on even more good news for the Harlem rapper, Rocky makes history by being appointed as the first-ever creative director of Ray-Ban.

Known for his trendsetting influence in both the music and fashion industries, A$AP will help guide creative projects, redesign retail spaces, and provide a distinct vision to the brand’s image and design going forward.

His first order of business: a redesign of the core lineup of frames with a brand-new lens type. The release will be labeled as the “Blacked Out collection” and aim to blend classic elements with bold and modern influences. The frames will feature gold-plated details and brand-new ultra-black lenses. The first release of the collection will drop this April.

A few of his go-to frames include the classic Wayfarers, the Mega Clubmaster sunglasses, translucent Wayfarer frames, and a pair of metal opticals.
