On Monday (July 1), the internet reacted in all kinds of ways when a video of Rick Ross and his crew getting jumped in Vancouver, Canada, by Drake super fans hit the web, and now it seems like the King of the North is practicing a bit of trolling over the incident with his latest social media post.

Following the release of the video, Drake took to his IG page to post a pic and a video of himself and his crew enjoying some outside weather at his mansion as Drizzy raps along to “Northern Touch” by the Rascalz, who hail from Vancouver. Coincidence that Drake is listening to a rap group that represents the city where Ross and company got jumped? Maybe, but we doubt it.

Drake also dropped another video in which he wished his fellow Canadians a “Happy Canada Day” before saying, “Cheers to the whole country” and taking a sip of some adult juice with a slice of lemon in it. Fancy!

50 Cent meanwhile didn’t miss the opportunity to continue to troll his former rival Rick Ross as well with a new video. While Fiddy called it a “very unfortunate situation that took place in Canada” and said, “I hope that brother made it home safely,” he ended his quick reaction by saying Ross should call on Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers crew or the “305 killers” before laughing it off as he’s known to do.

Man we hope this doesn’t lead to North vs. South Hip-Hop war like the East vs. West thing in the ’90s.
What are your thoughts on Rick Ross getting jumped in Canada for playing Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss song “Not Like Us”? Fair or foul? Let us know in the comments section below.

Bun B recently discussed his involvement with the Houston Rodeo as well as the lineup for his upcoming All-American Takeover, including Rick Ross.

Veteran rapper Bun B is a true representative of his home state of Texas, and in a recent interview, he shared how he got to be involved with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for his Takeover concert series celebrating Black cowboys and their contributions to Western culture. In speaking with The Madd Hatta on his Majic 102.1 radio show, the UGK MC was asked about how he got involved.“So, I had been part of a sounding board for the rodeo for a couple of years,” Bun B began, “They would come and sit with me and ask my opinion on different directions they wanted to go in.” Bun B had first performed at the event back in 2007 when Beyonce delivered her concert performance.

He continued: “There was a relationship that was formed. And then two years ago they asked, “Hey if we gave you a day, what would you do?” Just like that. And I had this very grandiose idea of bringing all these people in and we just gotta get a jet, and all that.” The “Still Trill” rapper then revealed that his wife helped him scale down his plans a bit. “That just seems like a whole lot of trouble. Why don’t you just bring a bunch of Houston people ‘cause they all live here, they can just drive,” he said.

That led to the H-Town Takeover, which featured Paul Wall, Lil Keke, Lil Flip, and Slim Thug in 2022. In its second year, the Southern Takeover featured Erykah Badu, Big K.R.I.T., Big Mike, David Banner, MJG, and Scarface. For this third year, the All-American Takeover looks to be just as huge as Rick Ross will take the stage along with Nelly, Too Short, and E-40 along with That Mexican OT. More artists are expected to be announced. The show will take place on March 12 to close out the festivities, and it will be held at Houston’s NRG Stadium. The rodeo itself will kick off on February 27. Tickets for the All-American Takeover can be found on the Houston Rodeo’s website.

A healthcare clinic in Georgia will remain open after being on the brink of closing, thanks to a generous donation from Rick Ross.
On Monday (June 19), the Maybach Music Group mogul and rapper presented a check for $30,179 to the team of women running the Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic in Fayette County, Georgia. The clinic enables poorer families to have access to the premium healthcare they need including affordable medication and doctors. “The patients that come to this clinic, all of them, their income level is 200% below the poverty level. The national poverty level,” said Geneva Weaver, the clinic’s executive director.

Ross is a resident of Fayette County and got word of the clinic’s potential closing through his lawyer, Steve Sadow. Before his donation, the C.A.R.E. Clinic had raised $19,000 with a goal of $50,000. “A clinic like this means a lot to me. I lost my father at an early age and I felt like one of the reasons I lost him so early was his lack of healthcare,” the artist said at the ceremony where the check was presented. “I look forward to continuing to help out as much as possible. I consider you family, friends, and of course, neighbors.”
Local network WSB-TV was present as Weaver thanked Ross along with other executives from the clinic. She said that the check was the largest donation from an individual donor that they’ve had since opening their doors in 2005. The “Aston Martin Music” rapper was humble about the donation on his social media profiles, opting to share information on Juneteenth with his fans along with photos from his recent car and bike show held on his sprawling estate. That event didn’t go over well with some in the county, as some attendees of that show trashed a plaza in South Fulton three miles away from his Promised Land estate. Local authorities believe they resorted to that behavior after not gaining entry to the event.

Rick Ross taking on DJ Envy was not in anyone’s bingo card for 2023, but that’s exactly what’s unfurling in hilarious fashion on social media and abroad. After Rick Ross fired a shot at DJ Envy over hosting an upcoming car show in Memphis amid his own battle to get a permit for a car show, the beef between the pair has heated all the way up with Rozay seemingly getting the better of the exchange.
Based on what we’ve seen play out online, Rick Ross set off the beef by throwing a shot at DJ Envy for The Breakfast Club host’s upcoming car show, Drive Your Dreams, in Memphis, Tenn. this coming weekend.
The following weekend, Rick Ross will be hosting his own car show at his Promised Land estate in Fayetteville, Ga. despite resistance from neighbors and unsigned permits according to recent reports. The announcement of Envy’s show seemed to rankle Ricky Rozay, and he fired off a number of Instagram Stories slamming his car show rival.
Envy, a man of pride, fired back and tried to give it as good as he got it but it’s really getting personal after Ross invited Envy, his wife, and his sons to come “mop the marble” of his pool after Envy claimed Ross “Airbnb’s his crib,” in no doubt a reference to the fact that Ross rents out the property to production studios. How is that a diss? Anyway.
Ross upped the ante by inviting Envy and his sons to come clean and then breakdance at   the pool to the tune of Beastie Boys’ “Brass Monkey” track along with other shots that’d be difficult for anyone to recover from.
Based on the chatter from Twitter, it appears that Rick Ross has been kicking DJ Envy’s back in about the car show for 24 hours. We’ve got the reactions from all sides below.

When Rick Ross says it is going down you can wait for it to fall from the sky. He says his car show is still happening even though the permit isn’t approved.

As spotted on TMZ Rozay is going hard until the wheels fall off; literally and figuratively. For weeks he has been promoting his second annual car show. The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 3 at his massive home he refers to as “Promise Land Estates”. It seems last year’s festivities went without a hitch but the 2023 edition is already hit a snag.

Robb Report has acquired a letter dated May 16 from the Fayette County Department of Planning and Zoning denying Rick Ross’ application. Last year he and his team secured the permit and categorized as a “horse show/rodeo/carnival and/or community fair”. But officials say that the event doesn’t align with the descriptor saying “A plain reading of the phrase… does not anticipate a car and bike show”. They also call out that the expected attendance will poorly impact the surround community with traffic and poses safety concerns. “The emergency resources necessary to ensure proper function of an event of this scale are not anticipated in this district and therefore are not easily dispatched,” the response reads.
Well Ross is unbothered by the rejection and plans to host the car show anyway. He spoke to TMZ about it and explained his game plan which includes potentially reaching out to the mayor for special consideration. You can see discuss the matter below.

It seems any issues that Meek Mill and Rick Ross had are now in the past. Rozay has reportedly purchased Meek’s home for four million dollars in cash.

As spotted on Complex the MMG talent once again proves that he is bossed up. This week WSBTV reported that Meek had been trying to offload the Buckhead property for some time. After almost two years the Philadelphia MC took matters into his own hands and posted visuals on his social media channels promoting that the home was on the market. “come grab this Jawn … it’s some top secret shit in there too!” he wrote on Twitter.

It seems his approach was just what the doctor ordered as his realtor Alisha Gillooly confirmed that the eight-bedroom nine-bathroom property was purchased by $4.2 million dollars in cash by Rick Ross. The house reportedly includes a private pool, movie theater, tennis court, jacuzzi, playground and double garage. In an ironic twist of events Meek shared on Instagram Story that he didn’t even know that Rick Ross purchased the house until media outlets picked up the story. “Sold Rozay the big fish estates … I ain’t even know he bought this lol”.

It is not clear if Rick Ross will keep this location or use it as an investment property.
