Doja Cat found herself firing back on social media over the weekend after being accused of promoting plastic surgery to her young fans.
The online drama started when the rapper tweeted, “got my ti–ies done and my cl– bedazzled” on March 20, also revealing she received liposuction on her thighs but was “healing fast.” One follower asked Doja to show off her “new boobies” on Sunday, and she responded that they were too “swollen” just a few days post-surgery. However, that’s when another user jumped into the conversation to tweet, “Stop encouraging your young and impressionable fans to change their bodies.”
Doja didn’t take kindly to the accusation, and considering she was laid up with nothing but time on her hands, she didn’t mince words with her response, telling the troll to “eat my long quiet and warm farts.”
In a separate thread on the same day, a different follower joked, “She’s so easy to trigger it’s hilarious,” and the Grammy winner acknowledged, “i know, stop. please im literally on bed rest yall gonna get blocked over a bad joke.”
Doja then proceeded to give her 5.5 million followers on the platform more updates about her recovery, telling them she wasn’t in much pain, “just numb and swollen as f— under my arms” and promised to show off the results of her breast reduction “soon when they dont look like two loafs of bread. give it 3 more weeks.”
It seems that Doja was at least well enough to make an appearance at Monday night at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles, taking the stage to accept an iHeartRadio Titanium Award for her “most-played” hit “Woman.”
Check out Doja’s many tweets and unvarnished responses regarding her recent surgery below.

Charlamagne Tha God spoke out on The Breakfast Club in defense of a Mississippi TV anchor who seems to have been punished for quoting Snoop Dogg on air.
“She can’t say ‘fo shizzle, my nizzle’?” the radio host questioned during the show’s popular “Rumor Report” segment during a show last week. “I guess ’cause ‘nizzle’ is derivative of the N-word? I’m saying that in context, I didn’t mean to say it. … I’m not using that word.”
After his co-host DJ Envy opined that the anchor, Barbie Bassett of WLBT, shouldn’t lose her job over the gaffe, Charlamagne doubled down in agreement. “I don’t think she should’ve been fired. She might not even know what ‘nizzle’ means, yo,” he argued. “Like, come on, we got to, like, stop, man. That’s not a reason to fire that woman.
“That’s the thing with hip-hop, man. Hip-hop is so big and so mainstream and it’s just like, who can consume it and who can’t? You know what I mean? Who can repeat slang and who can’t?” Charlamagne continued. “She might not have any idea, she just thinks she’s sounding cool repeating Snoop Dog!”
As of press time, Bassett has been off the air ever since she offhandedly repeated the phrase while bantering with her co-anchor during their March 8 telecast. Her biography has also been removed from the station’s official website, though WLBT’s general manager has reportedly declined to comment on the situation, according to a report by Jackson, Miss.’s The Clarion-Ledger.
Watch Charlamagne debate use of Snoop’s slang word below, starting at the 4:22 mark, and the clip of Bassett on-air.
Kanye West is returning to social media to share an update on his feelings toward Jewish people.
The rapper and fashion mogul, who now goes by Ye, shared a post on Instagram Friday (March 24) claiming that actor Jonah Hill’s performance in 21 Jump Street helped change his views about antisemitism.
“Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump street made me like Jewish people again,” Ye wrote alongside a poster for the 2012 comedy, which also starred Channing Tatum. “No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people.”
The rapper added, “No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus is Jew. Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.”
Ye has mostly been absent from social media following a slew of antisemitic comments in late 2022.
After receiving backlash for wearing a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt in October 2022 at Paris Fashion Week, Ye tweeted that he was going to go “death con 3” on Jewish people on Oct. 16. This began a string of hate-speech-filled interviews, which reached an even more disturbing level when he appeared on Alex Jones’ InfoWars and said “I see good things about Hitler,” among other hateful rhetoric.
In February, the Anti-Defamation League published a report tying Ye’s onslaught of anti-Jewish statements to 30 different incidents of “antisemitic incidents” in the past several months.
“These incidents — which include vandalism, banner drops, targeted harassment and campus propaganda distributions — demonstrate the ongoing influence of Ye’s conspiratorial, bigoted rants,” the report reads.
The ongoing controversy was also recently lampooned in the season 26 premiere of South Park, with Cupid Ye zooming around shooting hearts filled with antisemitism instead of love at various characters.

Snoop Dogg, rapper of dragons? On Friday (March 24), the superstar came face to face with Game of Thrones actor Emilia Clarke and shared his love of the hit HBO fantasy series.
“SNOOP. DOGGY. DOGG.” Clarke posted alongside a sweet photo of the pair on social media, backstage at the rapper’s show at The O2 in London. “The man, the myth, the legend. When he calls, you (I) come running.” She even geeked out with her hashtags, writing, “#my16yearoldselfishavingalifealteringmomenthere #soismy36yearoldself.” Meanwhile, Snoop commented under the post, “I’ love me some you” with the requisite dragon, flame, paw prints, TV camera and smiling heart emojis.
In a sweet video in the slideshow, Snoop proved the love was nothing but mutual. He can be heard telling the actress, “I would protect your eggs any day…I’m here for you, baby, I’m here! You know I’m a fan of the show, right?” referring to Clarke’s famous role as Daenerys Targaryen. Visibly blown away, Clarke quips, “Can I get that in writing?” before responding, “You know I’m a fan of you since forever and ever and ever?”
Earlier this month, the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show performer made major business moves by starting Shiller, his very own Web3 livestreaming platform with British tech entrepreneur Sam Jones and returning the entire catalog of releases on Death Row Records — including classics like 1993’s Doggystyle and 1996’s The Doggfather — to streaming services. Other albums in the deal included Tupac’s All Eyez on Me and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory as well as Lady of Rage’s Necessary Roughness and Kurupt’s Against the Grain.

Naomi Osaka took to social media on Tuesday (March 21) to show off the her baby bump, just months after it was revealed she’s expecting her first child with Cordae.
The tennis pro shared a series of snaps from a street in Japan, wearing a cropped green jersey with her last name and the number 97 emblazoned on the back, her baby bump adorably peeking out in front. She paired the top with a pair of voluminous oversized jeans, beige and gray sneakers, large gold hoops and a baseball cap by On.
Osaka’s more than 2.7 million Instagram followers couldn’t get enough of the sporty on-the-street shoot. “Mama in Japan…better not delete this!!!!!!!” fellow tennis champ Sloane Stephens commented using the Japanese flag and a heart eyes emoji, while a fan wrote, “it’s giving mommy.”
Others were quick to compare the four-time Grand Slam champ to the also-pregnant Rihanna, with one follower writing, “Cordae really saw Asap and said hold my racket” in reference to RiRi’s relationship with A$AP Rocky and another commenting, “okayyy!! it’s giving Rihanna.”
While her latest carousel is the first time she’s posted her pregnancy on her feed, Osaka first revealed she was expecting at the start of the year by sharing a snap of her ultrasound. At the time, she didn’t mention the identity of the baby’s father, but her spokesperson confirmed to Billboard that she was, indeed, welcoming the bundle of joy with Cordae.
Last month, the “Two Tens” rapper sat down with Billboard to discuss his new PUMA x HI-LEVEL collection as well as his friendship with regular collaborator Anderson .Paak.

Post Malone and Swae Lee‘s “Sunflower” music video officially surpassed 2 billion views on YouTube on Thursday (March 9).
Originally released in the fall of 2018, the song was part of the soundtrack for the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and also ultimately made the tracklist for Malone’s 2019 studio album Hollywood’s Bleeding.
The music video borrows a multitude of scenes from the family-friendly movie to spell out the origin story of a young Miles Morales even as the rappers take turns crooning, “Callin’ it quits now, baby, I’m a wreck/ Crash at my place, baby, you’re a wreck/ Thinkin’ in a bad way, losin’ your grip/ Screamin’ at my face, baby, don’t trip.”
“Sunflower” became Malone’s third career No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — after the 21 Savage-assisted “Rockstar” and “Psycho” featuring Ty Dolla $ign — when it reached the summit of the chart for a single week at the start of 2019. Meanwhile, it was Lee’s very first chart-topper and also scored nominations for record of the year and best pop duo/group performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
In November, the two rappers had another reason to celebrate their massive song after it achieved the record as the highest-certified single in the history of the Recording Industry Association of America at 17x Platinum.
Just a few weeks ago, the video for Posty’s 2015 breakout track “White Iverson” joined the Billion Views Club on YouTube, becoming the rapper’s fourth video to do so after “Sunflower,” “Rockstar” and “Congratulations” featuring Quavo — the latter of which is inching closer every day to the 1.5 billion mark.

O’Shea Jackson Jr. took to social media on Tuesday (March 7) to offer his reaction to Logic‘s recent cover of his dad Ice Cube‘s 1995 classic “It Was a Good Day.”
In case you haven’t seen the clip, the “Self Medication” rapper tackled Cube’s top 20 Billboard Hot 100 hit word-for-word — including a suggestive lyrical shout-out to the elder MC’s wife, Kimberly Woodruff (“I got a beep from Kim, and she can f— all night”).
Now, considering the song is talking about Jackson’s mom, he had much stronger feelings about Logic’s use of that particular line than anything else in the cover.
“I respect Logic. I think he can rap. And that’s all I really need,” he tweeted. “But bruh….if if ever hear you sing about my mother again… it’s gone be a misunderstanding lmaoooo.”
The Cocaine Bear actor then followed his half-joking hot take with two other tweets, after multiple fans confessed they only learned about his parentage after hearing Logic’s cover.
“Imagine having to be your pops hype man and doing that part …….. I’ll wait………pretty awkward right……. So now when either me or my brother on stage with him the line is ‘I got a beep from HER’ instead of my moms name,” he wrote in response to one follower, and later cracked, “Yes my father is so romantic smh” to another.
While it doesn’t appear that Logic had responded to Jackson’s tweet as of press time, he did announce his upcoming tour earlier this week in support of his latest album College Park, which begins May 25 in Madison, Wis.

Latto hit the stage at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (March 1) to perform her new single “Lottery” and receive the Powerhouse award during the 2023 Billboard Women in Music event.
Flanked by four backup dancers, the rapper swaggered and danced her way through the disco-inflected track in a sparkling body suit and matching opera-length gloves and dramatic heels.
Following her performance, Latto was presented her award by previous Rising Star honoree Chlöe Bailey, who called her pal and “For the Night” collaborator “a force to be reckoned with,” “an icon for young women everywhere” and “the personification of a powerhouse.”
“Megan Thee Stallion won this award, Doja Cat won this award. It’s crazy because I’m fans of my peers and they’re now my peers,” Latto said, gratefully gripping Bailey’s hand for support. “All the inspiring women who paved the way for me and all the women that there are to come. I’m grateful to be a part of this new wave of female rap and baby, we kickin’ down the door and we ain’t takin’ no for an answer.”
Latto recently sat down with Billboard at Los Angeles’ luxe Paramour Estate to reflect on her rise to Powerhouse status and her dedication to supporting the upcoming generation of female MCs.
“My No. 1 thing has been being a girl’s girl,” she said, giving props to the likes to Flo Milli, Lola Brooke and GloRilla. “I utilize my power in uplifting others on my way up. When you see Latto do a feature with an upcoming female rapper, I don’t charge them.”
Doechii was honored as Billboard’s 2023 Women in Music Rising Star on Wednesday night (March 1) at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.
During the awards show, the rapper performed a mash-up of two of her hits — delivering a sultry rendition of “Persuasive” and a rapid-fire, ferocious take on”Crazy” — before being presented with her award by her mother, Celesia Moore.
“Girl, I done danced my shoe off,” the rapper quipped while accepting her award with a broken shoe before marveling that she’s joined the ranks of Billboard Women in Music Rising Star awardees who have come before her, including Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Janelle Monáe.
In an interview with Billboard ahead of the show, the boundary-breaking Top Dawg Entertainment signee dished on her five-year plan for her career in the wake of “Persuasive” garnering 30 million on-demand streams in the U.S., per Luminate.
“By year five I want to be at my peak. I want to be in my Sasha Fierce era, the top of my game with still a long way to go — but I want to reach my prime and never leave it,” she said.
Doechii also promised that fans can expect a pivot in her sound when she releases her debut full-length project later this year. “It’s my pop era,” she said. “Usually I’m alone [in the studio], but these days I’ve been inviting people in. Usually I like people to send me beats and I’ll just listen through, but recently I’ve been working with producers like J White in person, which is cool. So my vibe is kind of changing; it’s a lot of energy. It feels like a party.”
GloRilla made a tour stop in New York City on Wednesday and brought Cardi B out for a surprise performance of their hit collab “Tomorrow 2.”
The “Up” MC’s sudden appearance caused the entire room to erupt into pandemonium as she delivered her verse on the track, rapping, “I know that I’m rich, but I can’t help it, bi—, I’m hood as f—/ I’ve been on these bi—es’ neck so long, sometimes my foot get stuck/ I can’t put you in my business, you might wish me dead tomorrow/ Bi—es be on di– today, sing every word of ‘Up’ tomorrow/ Bi—, I still got cases open, keep your mouth shut tomorrow.”
Released last fall, “Tomorrow 2” ultimately peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning GloRilla the first top 10 hit of her career following her Hitkidd-assisted breakout single “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).” Since then, the Memphis newcomer has teamed up with Moneybagg Yo for “On Wat U On” and taken aim at haters with the one-off “Internet Trolls.”
Meanwhile, Cardi just dropped a McDonald’s merch line with Offset on the heels of starring in their adorable Valentine’s Day-themed Super Bowl commercial together. The couple also recently hit the stage for a star-studded pre-Super Bowl set that included celeb guests in the audience like Serena Williams and Tiffany Haddish, and Cardi presented the award for best rap album to Kendrick Lamar for Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
