A CNN discussion fell into chaos as guest panelist Mehdi Hasan was labeled a terrorist by another guest, and social media was incensed.
On Monday night (October 28), CNN host Abby Phillip was moderating a panel discussion that devolved into chaos as one guest panelist inferred that Medhi Hasan, another panelist, was a terrorist. The discussion was centered on the controversial Donald Trump campaign rally held the day before in Madison Square Garden, including Hasan and conservative Ryan Girdusky. Hasan opined that if right-wing supporters of Trump didn’t want to be labeled as “Nazis”, they shouldn’t make anti-Semitic statements. “You’re called an anti-Semite more than anyone at this table,” Girdusky replied, to which Hasan retorted, “Yeah, by you.” As Hasan stated that his support of the Palestinian people made him susceptible to those attacks, Girdusky then said, “Well, I hope your beeper doesn’t go off,” referring to the Israeli military operation targeting Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon weeks ago by setting off their pagers which contained hidden explosives.
Here’s the video of Ryan Gidursky saying to Mehdi Hasan, “I hope your beeper doesn’t go off.” https://t.co/Zn1B7SCI8i pic.twitter.com/5MX93GOeAe

Girdusky tried to continue speaking but the former MSNBC host cut him off. “Did you just say I should die? Did you just say I should be killed live on CNN?”, he asked. Girdusky then claimed he thought Hasan supported the Hamas terror organization, which Hasan denied, leading Girdusky to say, “Then, I apologize.” The other panelists were stunned as Phillip said, “Ryan, that is completely out of pocket.” The program went to commercial, and Hasan and Girdusky weren’t present. Phillip would issue an apology to Hasan and the viewers on-air.

CNN would issue a statement on X, formerly Twitter, banning Girdusky from appearing on the network. Girdusky attacked CNN afterward, writing in another post on X: “You can stay on CNN if you falsely call every Republican a Nazi and have taken money from Qatar-funded media. Apparently you can’t go on CNN if you make a joke. I’m glad America gets to see what CNN stands for.” The situation was met with outrage by many on social media who viewed the clip. Lawyer Qasim Rashid questioned the network’s decision to have Girdusky on in the first place: “He calls it a “joke” but his racist comment isn’t isolated. He’s a Project 2025 advisor, runs a racist PAC, & previously wrote for a Nazi—yet CNN invited him on anyway. Why?”
MAGA pundit Ryan Girdusky spewed to Hasan “I hope your beeper doesn’t go off.”

Nancy Black might not be a name known to many outside of the Roma community, but the rapper is using her voice and platform to call out the injustice faced by her people. In a new profile, Nancy Black is using Hip-Hop as a vehicle for change and to support the recognition of all Roma people.
Nancy Black, real name Gilda-Nancy Horvath, was featured in a profile from the AFP centered on her still-growing career as a rapper and the motivations behind her art.
Horvath first began her rapping career about eight years ago, creating what the profile referred to as an “angry rap” song or protest song titled “Trushula,” which has a video with English subtitles where one can read exactly who she is targeting with her bars.
The profile goes on to note that Horvath was inspired by the development of far-right groups across Europe, especially in her home country of Austria. There, the Freedom Party (FPOe), which reportedly had Nazi ties, led in polls for the country’s national elections and this has Horvath’s attention.
Beyond tackling anti-Roma racism in verse form, Horvath also raps in Romani in part to keep the language alive and to “stop the suffering” as she told the outlet.
“With the death of this language we are also forgetting a large part of our history,” Horvath said.
The Roma people, who number around 14 million, are burdened with discrimination across the realms of education and employment, along with struggling with poverty per the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA).

A Republican congressman posted a racist rant against Haitians and deleted it, but doubled down on his stance leading many social media users to denounce him.
On Wednesday (September 25), Republican Congressman Clay Higgins made a post on X, formerly Twitter, attacking Haitian migrants in Ohio using the same false claims initiated by Senator JD Vance and former President Donald Trump but expanding on them, saying they were “eating pets” and calling them “thugs” and “slapstick gangsters” who come from the “nastiest country in the western hemisphere.” He ended the since-deleted post with an ominous threat, writing: “All these thugs better get their mind right and their a– out of our country before January 20th.”
The representative from Louisiana’s 3rd district was confronted by the Democratic Representative from Nevada, Steven Horsford, who also serves as the Congressional Black Caucus chairman on Capitol Hill. In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Horsford shared how he introduced the motion to censure Higgins to the House of Representatives floor, which would ultimately be voted down by the Republican majority. “It is not about the next election. It is about everyday people in America feeling targeted. Today, it’s the Haitians. Who will it be tomorrow? Will it be you?”, Horsford said.
Higgins, an avowed supporter of Trump, has made similarly offensive statements before and was dismissive of the outrage. “It’s all true,” Higgins said to CNN that evening. “I can put up another controversial post tomorrow if you want me to. I mean, we do have freedom of speech. I’ll say what I want,” adding: “It’s not a big deal to me. It’s like something stuck to the bottom of my boot. Just scrape it off and move on with my life.” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York blasted Higgins for his remarks in a post on X, formerly Twitter. “Clay Higgins is an election-denying, conspiracy-peddling racial arsonist who is a disgrace to the People’s House,” he wrote in his statement.
The condemnation Higgins received online was swift, with many calling out his history of supporting the Ku Klux Klan. The former aide to Mike Pence, Olivia Troye, noted how dangerous he is as a member of the Homeland Security Committee. “This is a clear betrayal of his oath to protect Americans & a warning of what’s to come under a Trump presidency,” she wrote on X.

Republican nominee Donald Trump went after Haitian migrants again at a campaign rally with more outright lies.
False claims about Haitian migrants in the town of Springfield, Ohio have been advanced by former President Donald Trump once again, this time with more sinister overtones. The Republican presidential nominee held a campaign rally in Savannah, Georgia on Tuesday (September 24) at the Johnny Mercer Theatre. In what’s been increasingly a feature at these rallies, Trump talked about the crowd size being 5,000 to 6,000 people – in truth, it was 2,500 in attendance. He also spoke about the migrants again in a disparaging rant.
“With left-wing nonprofits to inundate Pennsylvania communities, changing the character of small towns and villages all over our country, and changing them forever,” Trump said. “They will never be the same. They will never be. Do you think Springfield will ever be the same? I don’t think so. The fact is — and I’ll say it now — you have to get them the hell out. You have to get them out. I’m sorry,” he continued, adding: “You have to get them out. Can’t have it. Can’t have it. They’ve destroyed it. It’s terrible.” The audience cheered during the speech, which also saw Trump talking about his administration bringing a “manufacturing renaissance” and bringing back millions of jobs to the U.S. “Did you ever hear that expression before? Have you ever heard that we’re going to take other countries’ jobs? It’s never been stated before,” he said.
Trump has leaned heavily on the false claims about Haitians who’ve settled in Springfield, Ohio, expressing it in his debate against Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris – a claim first advanced by his running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance. These claims of Haitians eating the dogs and cats of fellow town members sparked a wave of outrage since the disastrous debate, with many Haitian-Americans holding protest rallies across the country. It has also led to the Haitian Bridge Alliance (HBA) advocacy group filing a criminal complaint against Trump and Vance, alleging that their amplifying the false claims led to heightened danger against the Haitian community in Springfield resulting in at least 33 bomb threats being called in against schools and other city structures. “Trump and Vance’s lies have harmed the Springfield community, and their lies have violated criminal law,” said the statement filed with the complaint. The Trump campaign team has not commented to the press.

Republican Senator and vice presidential nominee JD Vance added to a racist smear on Vice President Kamala Harris‘ heritage in an interview.
On Sunday (September 15), Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance was being interviewed by Kristin Welker of NBC’s Meet The Press when he doubled down on a racist smear of Vice President Kamala Harris. Welker asked Vance about the initial comment made by far-right figure Laura Loomer in a post on X, formerly Twitter last week where she said if Harris was elected, the White House “will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center.” Vance took on a dismissive tone and said he had just seen them that morning: “I knew that you’d ask me about it.”
He continued: “I make a mean chicken curry, I don’t think that it’s insulting for anybody to talk about their dietary preferences or what they want to do in the White House. Do I agree with what Laura Loomer said about Kamala Harris? No, I don’t. I also don’t think that this is actually an issue of national import. Is Laura Loomer running for president? No. Kamala Harris is running for president, and whether you’re eating curry at your dinner table or fried chicken, things have gotten more expensive thanks to her policies.”
“Senator, were you and your wife offended, and do you disavow those comments that even some Trump allies say are blatantly racist?” Welker followed up, referring to Usha Vance, who is Indian-American. “Kristen, I just told you, I don’t like those comments,” Vance replied. “I also don’t look at the internet for every single thing to get offended by.” Online commenters such as former FBI attorney Asha Rangappa were aghast, writing: “Curry or…fried chicken? Good lord, he’s like the KKK whisperer.” Others noted his avoidance of explicitly defending his wife.
As for Loomer, she posted support for Vance’s comments. “Donald Trump and JD Vance are giving those people a voice to tell the TRUTH about how they are being replaced by Kamala Harris’s invaders,” she wrote in another post on X, formerly Twitter, adding: “PS: I hope I can try the Senator’s chicken curry one of these days.” Loomer has been a fixture by former Donald Trump’s side within the past two weeks, with speculation that the two are intimately involved.

Rich Lowry, the editor-in-chief of conservative media outlet The National Review, was in the middle of an interview with MAGA-fav Megyn Kelly when he casually started saying the N-word before he stopped himself, barely. Listeners with sense heard what they heard, but it didn’t stop Lowry from saying that it was mispronunciation that caused it to sound like a slur.
Most everybody let out a collective “Yeah right” after that excuse.
You can listen to Lowry drop the N-word in the clip from The Megyn Kelly Show above while discussing JD Vance admitting that he amplified the Haitians are eating your pets hoax for the sake of media attention. You’ll note that Lowry basically got the whole N-word out (“Haitian n*gger…”) before stopping himself and saying “migrants.” And just in case there is any doubt, a clip of the video slowed up is making the rounds that confirms that he said what he said.
Slow it down to 0.5x pic.twitter.com/PnsUiYNxeh
— Bill Grueskin (@BGrueskin) September 16, 2024
Yeah, the two words in question don’t sound the same, but that was not enough to prevent Lowry from entering the spin cycle. “I began to mispronounce the word ‘migrants’ and caught myself halfway through tweeted Lowry, co-signing a tweet that suggested he had crossed up the word “immigrants” and “migrants.”
Yep, this is exactly what happened—I began to mispronounce the word “migrants” and caught myself halfway through https://t.co/Y1wyvrkq8x
— Rich Lowry (@RichLowry) September 16, 2024
And let’s not even act like it as AI.
Needless to say Lowry is getting cooked, and deservedly so. But let’s see how whiteness works, since a lot of privileged white men tend to fail up. Also, and of course Megyn Kelly was unfazed.

The circumstances around the death of Illinois truck driver Javion Magee bearing similarities to a lynching have sparked outrage and concern on social media.
A young Black truck driver from Chicago, Illinois by the name of Javion Magee was found dead in a rural area of North Carolina last Wednesday (September 11). Since then, social media users have been outraged at the way that Magee was found with a rope around his neck leaning up against a tree near his truck, suggesting that he was lynched.
“It’s a lot of holes in this case, it’s a lot of questions and not enough answers in this case,” said family spokesperson Candice Matthews in an interview with ABC7Chicago. “There’s no transparency that’s going on in this case. This family wants transparency, this family wants accountability, this family wants justice.” In a post on X, formerly Twitter, a user named Pier Jaree who states that she is Magee’s cousin accused the authorities in Henderson of preventing the family from identifying the body.
My cousin Javion Magee was found hanging from a tree in Henderson, NC. They will not let his mom identify the body due to “covid restrictions” which screams foul play. Please circulate!! @AttorneyCrump @aclu_nc @ABC11_WTVD @ABC7Chicago @nbcchicago
— Pier Jarae (@UrbanBlackGirl) September 12, 2024
Vance County Sheriff Curtis Brame spoke to the media on Friday (September 13) about the incident, confirming the condition that Magee was found in. “I understand there’s over 1,000 hits on TikTok (accusing) the sheriff’s office of not being transparent, not providing information to the family and that is not true,” Brame said. “There’s been information put out there that there’s a lynching in Vance County. There is not a lynching in Vance County. The young man was not dangling from a tree. He was not swinging from a tree. The rope was wrapped around his neck. It was not a noose. There was not a knot in the rope, so therefore, it was not a lynching here in Vance County.”
Brame also confirmed that Magee’s body was sent to the medical examiner for a preliminary autopsy, where their results indicated that the body showed no signs of defensive struggle. He also said that he wouldn’t rule it a suicide despite saying there weren’t signs of foul play. Brame also confirmed that the FBI has joined the investigation. The information hasn’t convinced many on social media, who are joining Magee’s family members in calling for more law enforcement involvement and noting similarities in the police response to what occurred in the death of Sandra Bland.

Donald Trump went full racist old man in his debate with VP Kamala Harris last night (September 10). One particular moment that will live in infamy is when he tapped into a debunked lie that Haitian immigrants are eating pets in Springfield, Ohio.
Seriously.
It started when Harris successfully baited Cheeto by clowning the dwindling crowd sizes of his rallies. While noting his use of movie characters (“You will see during the course of Trump‘s rallies, he talks about fictional characters like Hannibal Lecter. He will talk about how windmills cause cancer,” she said), she then lit him up with, “What you will also notice is that people start leaving his rallies early,” and that’s when his brain went on the fritz, allegedly.
To this (as the moderators tried to move on), Trump responded that no one attends her rallies (which is a lie) and then when he finally proceeded to “answer” the question that was posed about immigration, things got…weird. The former president invoked an already debunked, egregiously racist hoax that Haitian immigrants are eating pet dogs in Springfield, which was amplified by JD Vance.
“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs!” yelled Trump. “The people that come in, they’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there. And this is what’s happening in our country, and it’s a shame.”
The moderators let him finish, and then fact-checked him—and it inadvertently was hilarious. Co-moderator David Muir said ABC News contacted the city manager of Springfield, who said there were “no credible reports of specific claims of pets being harmed injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community.” To this, Trump interjected that he “seen people on television.”
Oh well, if he saw it on TV…—that was sarcasm. Muir then closed the deal saying, “I’m not taking this from television, I’m taking it from the city manager.”

Dr. Michael Eric Dyson swiftly rebuked a Republican congresswoman for being racist toward Kamala Harris, and social media took note of it.A panel discussion on CNN’s NewsNight got chaotic as a Republican member of the House of Representatives vehemently denied being racist while attacking Kamala Harris as guest speakers on the panel called her out. The Thursday night episode hosted by Abby Phillip featured a discussion on Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and the correct pronunciation of her name. Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, the noted author and professor of African-American Studies at Vanderbilt University addressed Representative Nancy Mace of South Carolina’s behavior to that point, beginning by saying she was a” wonderful human being” but that she was being disrespectful by mispronouncing Harris’ name. “I know you don’t intend it to be that way, that’s the history and legacy of white disregard for the humanity of Black people,” he stated.
“Oh, so now you’re calling me a racist? That is b.s. That is complete b.s.,” Mace fired back. The two began to argue and talk over each other, as Dyson replied, “you don’t have to intend racism to accomplish it. Your disrespect of Kamala Harris is part of a tradition of disrespect.” Mace began to talk over him again. “You are intending that I am racist and that is offensive and it’s wrong,” she said. Dyson insisted that he wasn’t calling her a racist but she wouldn’t back down: “You are. You absolutely are and that is disgusting.” Dyson would then insist that she pronounce the Vice President’s name right, to which Mace then pronounced it wrong saying “I can say it however I want!” Democratic strategist Keith Boykin shouted at her, “You’re doing this on purpose congresswoman!”
Many on social media caught wind of the chaotic situation, immediately noting how Mace’s behavior was in line with her support of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. One user called her out for claiming she’s never heard Trump attacking Harris’ racial identity. and another said that she was doing it for “a Cabinet position. It’s giving Jeff Sessions 2016 energy.” Others on social media applauded Dyson’s willingness to hold Mace accountable for her words as well as Boykin and Phillips chiming in.

A guest on the Fox Business Network called Vice President Kamala Harris the original “Hawk Tuah” girl, and social media expressed their disgust. The attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris since her bid to become the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate have ramped up and taken on more racist and sexist tones. A new example came from Alec Lace, who was a guest ona panel on the Fox Business Network. During a segment on July 21 discussing Harris taking over as President Joe Biden decided to drop out of the race, Lace stated: “And there’s the DEI Press Secretary telling you that the DEI Vice President is the future of the party here. So the future for the Democrats looks quite dim. Kamala Harris, she is the original Hawk Tuah girl — that’s the way she got where she is, and the party is going downhill if it’s in her hands.”
Lace was comparing Vice President Harris to Hailey Welch, the 22-year-old woman who recently became a viral sensation for describing the spitting noise made while performing oral sex during a street interview. The comment drew only a mild rebuke from the host, Dagen McDowell who chuckled nervously and said, “That was harsh.” Lace has not appeared on the network since making the comments, but he has stood by them on social media. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the conservative author asked his followers: “Did I go too far on FOX News calling Kamala Harris the OG Hawk Tuah girl or am I right over the target?” In a statement to TMZ, he doubled down, saying: “I’m more concerned with how the MSM has radicalized people with their dangerous rhetoric about President Donald Trump which almost got him killed.”
The clip led many on social media to be highly outraged over Lace’s words, with many pointing out how he describes himself as a “father of four” and also mocking him for being someone desperate for attention. One X user wrote, “All of their daughters are watching.” Another user, Alexander Nazaryan, wrote about the ineffectiveness of the attack: “The problem with turning Kamala Harris into a meme is that memes don’t last, and they have a much more limited appeal than it might seem.”
