Countdown to Wicked! Ariana Grande will make her debut as Glinda the Good Witch alongside Oscar winner Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Wicked Witch of the West, in the eagerly anticipated film out Nov. 22.

Speaking of the Big Apple, Wicked the musical opened on Broadway in 2013 and went on to gross over $1 billion. In 2017, Wicked became the second-highest grossing Broadway musical in history behind The Lion King.
Will the movie be just as popular as the Broadway production? The film has already earned strong numbers in presale tickets and could rake in as much as $150 million opening weekend, per Box Office Theory. The Universal Pictures’ fantasy film, directed by Jon M. Chu, is estimated to make as much as $1 billion at the box office.
